8481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is causing the Bitcoin bubble? on: June 06, 2017, 09:48:20 AM
Now it is evident that Bitcoin price is at an all-time high. Prices have risen steeply, far too fast for my liking. I don't think such a growth is sustainable. The bubble is going to break very soon.

But what is causing such a price hype? I speculate this phenomenon is caused by the increase in the number of Bitcoin users. Hence, demand increases and supply dwindles. Thus price increases. Are there any other factors that could add to this price hype?
Commonly people will really answer about supply and demand because this is the common thing which do makes a certain price increase, when theres a demand then prices would go up and thats the thing is happening into bitcoin.Adoption is on the move which bitcoin is already been gradually being accepted by some countries already how much more on this upcoming august on which another country would decide to adopt bitcoin.Expect for the prices to increase even more on upcoming months.
8482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: June 06, 2017, 06:51:38 AM
It is true that giving up gambling is not that easy to do in the actual. It may takes time or process before make it happens,
But for others opinions according to them, if you really wanted to change or to give up gambling addiction it will only happen if you decide it now to leave or stop it anymore.
It is really only on ones self if hes willing to quit or not on playing gambling because no matter other will try to help you if you are not willing to quit then it would be still useless.Once addiction comes to yourself it is really hard to remove because you sill really play gambling no matter what as long you do have the addiction.
8483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the most promising Casino coin? on: June 06, 2017, 06:02:36 AM
No Replies? No one thinking of investing in gambling coins?

Among on the coins you mentioned i do only hear about vslice and edgeless since ive been playing on vdice gambling site earlier and among the selection this one do have the potential since vslice is ethreum backed and i know it is a promising coin later on.
8484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 06, 2017, 04:02:34 AM
i use the default fees by blockchain and coinbase. no any issue and long delay.
Also for me, try to not modify the fees, if i put wrong how... Tongue

Yes I do the same with coinbase and I get my transactions confirmed in just an hour or less sometimes. Coinbase also has internal transfers from other coinbase wallets that are free of charge because they don't go into the blockchain.
When you do the same wallet transactions then they dont really charge up some fees and transfers are instant and talking about coinbase their suggested fee is 0.00103 and thats $2 more which i can say its really expensive if you do make it as a normal fee on your transactions unless if you are rich then those fees are piece a cake

8487  Economy / Economics / Re: Feeling the burn on: June 05, 2017, 12:49:53 PM
I had about 6.7 BTC back in 2014 or so at a price of about 1600$ I was down about 250$ and then I kept seeing litecoin go up 20% a day and jumped into that... then it spiked at 7.5$ or so... and then it dumped down to about 4$ I lost 700$ or so... and then kept playing around and finally got out with about 200$ left. About 6-8 months later BTC went to 300... and it's been rising ever since.... now i'm feeling the burn.

I should have never bought LTC...

I learned a lot about economics and had a lot of fun trading, even though I lost.

I was considering maybe jumping in again with 1000$. I'd probably go back to bitfinex.
Try some longs or shorts.

Thing is I probably would have bought ealier but you can't buy if you have no money.
Now I got some but i'm in China, and exhanges here still seem reticent on withdraws.

I dunno what do ya'll think? Buy in at 2400$?

Thats a sad thing which happened into you but im sure you are not the only one who experience such loss because this is really a part of learning process on doing trading. For now i would say its not a bad idea to buy on the current price as long you can afford it to buy some but if you ask me ill wait little further on a certain dip of the price maybe 2100-2200 to really make shorting on a little span of time to secure profits later on.
8488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Value of Altcoin IF Bitcoin splits on: June 05, 2017, 10:50:48 AM
Hello all, as the title suggests, if there is chain split for Bitcoin on Aug 1, what would the value of Altcoins be hedged on?
Also, for people who are holding altcoin in their portfolio, which type of Bitcoin will exchanges allow?

Is chain split going to happen at all btw?
Theres a possibilty but i think chances would be very very small but still we cant be unsure what would happen on that day Aug 1. If bitcoin splits then there would really be changes on altcoin market and it will surely rise up specially on those who are next in line to bitcoin like eth and mostly in the top of marketcap.
8489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Questions on: June 04, 2017, 03:49:09 AM
hi there.  Yes i know.  But the thing is i only dealt with bitcoin.  Im not familiar with ethereum.  I would like to know if i have to download a wallet like electrum for bitcoin or not.  Or i could keep etherum in something like blockchain etc.

I also do not know where you can acquire ethereum.  I heard its much complicated than bitcoin which is why i ask this.

If you do really like to store up etherium just like on bitcoin core wallets then go here https://www.ethereum.org/ download that wallet and sync. Its all you do have to do but expect downloading the blockchain would really takes time for sure. If you do like to prefer to use exchange wallets you can actually do it but comes with a certain risk.Accumulating ETH wayback before when it was $10 was simple just buy it on exchanges.
8490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beth ICO ( Beth.jp ) Another Scam in cryptoland on: June 04, 2017, 03:21:44 AM
Picture this.   You are a person with an idea for a coin that you believe is going to make you and others very rich for some time to come.  Perhaps, in the process you have a plan that will provide for a charity or a need and the coin idea is going to take care of that too.  You put out a moderate amount of money to get started and design up your ICO attack, plus the announcements and promo materials and go to work.
And things go to opposite way and your hopes and perceptions are vanished when you found out that the moderate money you putted out is already gone and goes to the pocket of those coin devs. How sad to think off such thing and we cant really avoid it if we do carelessly jumped out on ICO without minding or seeing if its has a good potential or just good on getting scammed by them.
8491  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: June 04, 2017, 02:52:28 AM
its not a loss until you sell it, if you buy it at a reasonable price, and you believe the project.
hodl your bags, and dont deal with the loss.
We wont really deal on a loss if we didnt try to sell of our coin that we do hold. Incase you do panic because of sudden decrease then move on and dont make the same mistake on the past which we would really not easily be panic when prices do crush unless if you are buying on a pump and dump coin then its an ideal move to secure profits but when we are talking about bitcoin or top altcoin then we should not make this habit.
8492  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BIT.AC - has BIT.AC filed for bankrupcy? on: June 04, 2017, 02:24:24 AM
The only thing they are paying is probably the hosting, but there still a bankruptcy chance because their affiliate program is simply too high to make them profit from it. A lot of people are facing this issue If you take a look at the announcement thread too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1451453.220
Thanks for the link and now ive been informed on the current situation of BIT.AC and i was little bit surprised that they do have this such terrible situation which most of users lost or cant access their accounts and lost token/bitcoins/alts. This is already a serious thing since they are abandoning everything. Users should file a complaint but i think its somehow impossible to trace where those funds go.
8493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 04, 2017, 01:53:59 AM
Sometimes when I withdraw BTC to my wallet, I set really low fees like 50-70 satoshi per byte and wait for weeks, because I'm not going to spend those coins in the near future anyway. I think it's a good way to save a bit of money, because if you look back, you might realize that your fees have added up to a big amount in USD value, while it wasn't always necessary to get those coins confirmed asap.
So, do you use low fees, or always want to get confirmation in a next few blocks?
Depending on the situation because there are transactions which do really need it to confirm fast specially on my important transactions which i do need to set medium-high fees but there are times i do really set low fees and same as yours i dont mind if it would confirm long because those bitcoins are solely for saving for future as long im sure it wont be cancelled then it should be fine. Fees now are really horrible when you do really like to fasten it up.
8494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Fastest Growing Cryptocurrencies in May on: June 04, 2017, 01:33:47 AM
Claiming there is development in "Monero" is an oxymoron.  For the longest time it's just a clone of DuckNote and wasn't pumped until people claimed it was added to Darknet Markets (where it never attained much, if any, volume or actual usage on there).

The anonymity coins are way over-valued until there is another breakthrough to support their price.

People just need a reason to pump and get hype up. Even if a coin offers something simple but new like a built-in photo taker, people will find a reason to pump it. It's sad but true as we now see ICOs selling out in seconds and coins getting false hype.
Complete agree on what you have said, Even there are lots of coin who do exist or pooping out on the market but there are still coins which looks promising which  do have features which cant really be found on other altcoin which makes it unique and does really caught attention of people that will potentially pumped out those coins. Some coins i didnt expect to be pumped thats why its really unpredictable to point out altcoin are fast growing.
8495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading help? on: June 02, 2017, 07:29:50 AM
This is the hardest part of trading we do have our different ways and analysis on doing trade which would work for me and wont work for you. Trading altcoin or even on bitcoin does really require some serious observations about its potentials on rising up its price. Losing money on shitcoins cant really be avoided and im sure everyone do really experience such loss.
8496  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is that possible to earn bitcoin with Youtube Channel? on: June 02, 2017, 06:48:13 AM
Yes, there is Service board in Bitcointalk, you can go there and post your link to your Youtube channel, there are many users who want to advertise their produce on Youtube or you can join Youtube campaigns, they are in Service board too. Good luck!
Indeed, I guess it is possible to earn bitcoin via youtube. Some of the campaigns now are using youtube to advertise their project inorder to captive more investors. However, most of the comments I have read is youtube will not pay a bitcoin so you need to convert it first.

Well they're quitely targeting those people who mostly goes to youtube but I can't say that we can earn here since It need some skill and fame since if we don't have that one surely our youtube pages will be out of the picture, But if we have skills and can able to do video editing job well I think we can work for it and earn thousand of dollars from this kind of job.
Video making and editing skills are really a good source of money but depending on the level. Making bitcoin out of youtube its not possible because youtube doesnt give or paid out bitcoin for the traffic on which video have been made of and just like other said here that you will still recieve fiat money and you do manually exchange it to bitcoin. Knowing youtube videos virality will really give fortune.
8497  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crash is gone, and we will see 3,500 usd within 60 days from today on: June 02, 2017, 05:42:29 AM
Ok the crash is gone it felt from 2,700 USD down to almost 2,000 and recover, the worst is gone, and I am predicting that the BTC will be at 3,500 USD within 60 days from today.

Why:

1.- More people interested
2.- More news and possible segwit
3.- On July 1st Australia will accept BTC as a currency.

So my advice is that if you can get as more BTC as you can, do it because this is just getting started.

What evidence do you have to show that the crash is gone, it may start within a forthnight.  We just have to wait and see how everything goes.
He cant show anything since no one really knows if the crash is gone or not knowing about the price of bitcoin is too volatile and there are lots of unexpected crash to happen later on. It all depends on adoption and news but i do strongly agree on the thing that we should really accumulate bitcoin as much as we can because it becomes valuable everyday that passed but telling about $3500 on 60 days i can say it not still sure and there are really things do happen on its way.
8498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life usage of bitcoin on: June 02, 2017, 05:08:15 AM
Its nothing like that. It doesn't matter if bitcoin confirmations are slow or what. When you send you bitcoins you can not really revert the payment so the buyer is is assured that he will get his money. Also, you can negotiate fees and ask buyer to pay half and you will pay half that way confirmation would be faster. It is not necessary to have bitcoin as mode of payment. You can easily swap your bitcoins in the form of USD or whatever your local currency is with the help of exchangers and then pay to buyer. Why to restrict one self by just sticking to bitcoins. You can keep earning wealth as well and keep spending at the same rate and it gives you all the freedom you want.
This is true, we wont really be bother or making it as a hindrance regarding slow confirmations since transactions are irreversible and as you said buyer will really be assured that they can get the payment no matter what but there are some people which do like to recieve their money or change on a fast way too.Its not really bad to make it as a payment as long there are merchants on the place but as of now its just limited.
8499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Proof of Human" Coin ? on: June 02, 2017, 03:53:51 AM
I've been thinking about the issues with bitcoins, altcoins, etc.. The biggest problem seems to be that people with huge mining rigs (or botnets) come in and take all the coins while the difficulty is low.

I propose a new coin that adds on the goodness from other coins: CPU mining, Scrypt, etc.. requiring a CPU + GPU to do effective mining. Further it extends this to also require a "PoH" analysis to confirm each coin. The PoH can use captcha, or another mechanism to verify that a human did some work to confirm each coin. This would slow down the mining by large farms, and make human input and analysis relevant. Further, the human  analysis could be interesting and educational at the same time. So a miner gets the value of generating a coin + the challenge of answering an analysis question.

What do folks think? Would this work?

Good idea but a little bit complicated when you tried to enforce it on making such changes. We cant do anything since there are companies, people do have an advantage as of now when a certain coin pops-out they can easily mine and accumulate as they can since they have the capability and thinking off on human interactions it will surely slow up the rise of difficulty but those whose on the top wont really agree on this thing for sure.
8500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First to reach 1 Trillion $ on: June 01, 2017, 01:13:16 PM
honestly i believe that it will be an alt coin that surpasses bitcoin that reaches 1 trillion first, Ethereum maybe?
Possibilities on passing up bitcoin would be always there and i think the same coin too on which is ETH but for now Bitcoin is always on the move and do increase its price par from ETH. Talking about reaching trillion dollars is possible on Bitcoin only and those stocks and company mentioned above are having these chances too or already reached that cap.. correct me if im wrong.
