Patience for?

Waiting to buy back at $100 or two digits?
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: India on: December 07, 2013, 02:43:02 AM
India doesn't have money.

Yup, you think Indians are stupid enough to send their money over to geeky Americans holding bitcoins. Nope,

You see the china are stupid enough to keep bailing Americans out, and they will continue to get burned while doing it.

Most Indians are very traditional and risk averse.

... and would rather put money in the bank with almost 9% annual interest.

Why are btc-e and mtgox so close in price now?

At some points Btc-e may end up being the highest. Hows that for crazy? Grin
764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Trying to find support at Lower Fibonacci Level on: December 07, 2013, 01:01:21 AM
Smashed through the lower Fib line, but still holding at 850 somehow. This must be all the bulls in denial? Once we wrap up and shake the dew off the lily, we're heading back down again?

I think there are a lot of very reluctant sellers holding out, I also suspect there are wash trades being used by exchanges to try and support the price

What is that?
765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2013, 12:53:04 AM
I've put in buy orders all the way down to $200.. bigger the lower we go.
Still holding on to my initial BTC investment, sold off the ones I made trading. Definitely feels like the right decision. If we go up again already, I'm cashing that money out for good. If we go down deep, I'm buying more BTC with them. Either way.. they're staying on stamp for the weekend. Possibly longer.

Bigger in fiat or just BTC?
766  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 06, 2013, 04:27:12 PM

Now here is the whole history since Bitcoin' inception.

Forgive my ignorance, but where is wave v in that graph? I absolutely differ to masterluc and have been a fan of his analysis for a while, but could not the 266 bubble have been said wave v making this top be the historic 3 of 5 and we are just entering wave 4?

Thats what I was thinking too. Another big wave up left.
767  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 06, 2013, 03:45:55 PM

Nope. Changed my mind:

My analysis has show we're going down hard. SELL SELL SELL!

Tongue

Lol

Anyways, I sold around 10% of my cryptos (20% if you count just the BTCs) with the mindset that I am prepared to take any loss.

Lets see. At the very least I should breakeven with the usual weekend decline.

EDIT: Did you get spooked by masterluc's doomsday prediction?
768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 06, 2013, 12:11:10 PM
Bearish signals everywhere: technicals looking bearish, contrary indicators like rpietila and coinseeker just turned bulls, I'm starting to feel this rally is in serious danger.

Well, if we enter a bear market we will enjoy the cheap coins.

 Grin
769  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 06, 2013, 11:46:55 AM
A pure bear market of 1 year would be terrible, you guys should think twice before saying that.
From April to July 2013 there were 3 failed bull markets, followed by bear markets that ended in capitulation at 50$,
80$ and 67$, and after that a fully developed bull market was able to grow. So only about 3 months from 266$,
and from the current high prices it may take longer than 3 months. But a pure bear market of 1 year could drive the price to
single digits, and that would be terrible. I hope the upcoming failed bull markets / bear markets won't last longer than 6 months.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means

hah - great spot Grin
770  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 06, 2013, 11:21:49 AM
amazing how pissed people are  Cheesy

I hope I didn't come around as pissed or ridiculing masterluc or bears in general. I am not pissed, I just have a different opinion. I wouldn't mind a bear market for a year or so,... shakes out the idiots that are in the boat "for the wrong reasons" very effectively.

I would love to have bear market for a year. Would give me a chance to keep increasing my stash.

I consider BTC as a game. If it goes to 0, ah well. But it is more likely to succeed in which case I may be able to retire on a beach with parties, booze and girls Grin

Regarding 'pissed', I think he was referencing Seleme. He always comes across in an abrasive way. I banned him from Worldcoinforums long back.

USD can be used on the street in India quite easily.

No, it can't.
772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 06, 2013, 08:53:06 AM
What exactly do you mean by 'end'? Value getting halved? double digits? pennies?
End of first historical bullish trend 2010-2013.

Why not shorting, then?

He sold 80% of his stash if that counts.
773  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 06, 2013, 06:18:35 AM
Word on the street: India.
And they hate being out done by China.
$1300 next week

A big LOL from me

Wow - thats a HUGE doom & gloom prediction.

*nervosuly bites his nails holding onto his paltry BTCs*
775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 06, 2013, 05:40:02 AM
I thought the end will have more epic start. Third day in a row I wake up, see charts and ask myself "Is this the end?" and third day in a row answer is "Yes".

What exactly do you mean by 'end'? Value getting halved? double digits? pennies?

What are the chances of Chinese banks boycotting btcchina and other exchanges now? I can imagine the banking partners of btcchina getting antsy at this news.

My thoughts also. But don't try and be open minded on this thread, it's not allowed. Put your blinkers on and reach for the moon!

Thats why I think it will go down now. Even if it goes down to 500$ thats still double the April high.
China had a big role in this boom. To pretend that this news - which I do believe is a positive one in the long run - won't affect price in the short term (next 2-3 weeks) is just putting blinkers on IMO.

Good point. On the other hand, the same could have been said (in fact: was said) about the Silk Road takedown ("good news long term, but for now: bear market").

Remember how long that one kept us down?

Well, it will be an interesting watch. The news is long term bullish anyways.

But every drop is met with such huge buy support... I know it's just speculators wanting to make a profit that start these dumps/pumps. I'm starting to think it would take something truly devastating to drop the price significantly from now on.

Lets see. $500 may have been too pessimistic, but I quoted that figure to point out its still a huge gain. It need not go down in a few devastating blows. If there is clear downtrend over the next few days it can keep creeping down.

Of course, it shouldn't matter to the average holder as long term everybody will profit anyways.

779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins-e the best alt exchange on: December 04, 2013, 02:43:16 PM
It looks like the exchange has been relaunched.  Anyone have any insight on this?

I mailed them asking for my 12k PXCs back. No reply yet.

I am not touching the exchange until they refund. Good luck to all of you who decide to trade there.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of Coins-E - they are stealing coins from the users on: December 04, 2013, 02:41:15 PM
Got all my issues resolved all the coins i had there are back!
