Why can't it be that Bitcoin is flexibly adapting to the future? Our BTC is still a kid in a way and still has a long way to go. In terms of development there are a few implementations very much needed to allow it to become future proof (taproot); true bitcoin hodlers don't need to question the future as they know it was paved when they first gave bitcoin a chance in the past.

~~ Anyway, Ronaldo is back with a superb result of scoring 3 more goals, absurd what he can do if the team play in a decent way.
Congratulate Ronaldo but Juventus bought him not because of his goals in Serie A or Scudetto but for Champions League. Even in Serie A, those goals won't help them too much as Inter Milan have won 8 matches in straight. ~~ Yeah, but remember.. Ronaldo is strong, but for Juventus is a simple and true commercial operation but yes, Ronaldo is very strong, i like him like footbal professionist (like Pavel Nedved of the past Juventus) anyone remember it? Pavel Nedved was an amazing footballer, I completely agree. Like many of you correctly said it was a pleasure to watch CR7 playing yesterday and I believe he replied all of his detractors with some marvelous performance. I never had a single doubt on the guy qualities, great champion!

You're right but gambling and responsibility hardly go hand by hand. Leaning towards fate would imply that we have no power on our actions and that would sound like an easy gambler's justification. That's not true because for the most part, gamblers are the sole responsible actors for their actions.

Less in circulation the higher the price. Take them coins off the market!!! It sounds so straightforward yet many fail to understand this very basic principle. Today there was a bit of a shake and it is unbelievable to witness how easy is for the market to eat that many coins.

The bulk of the coin is still concentrated on exchanges as opposed to publicly listed companies or special vehicles belonging to particular funds. But even if they become the top holder, so what? There is now a confirmed trend that sees exchange holdings slowly and steadily decreasing. In fact, exchange outflows are more than the inflows as you can see on https://glassnode.com/Despite the price surge there is an unbelievably high long-term accumulation pattern that shows the real strength behind the entire bitcoin value proposition.

Where there is a provably fair mathematically sound game implementation, the word strategy simply fades away as there can't be any suitable strategy with any game that follow those rules. You guys talk about luck and there may be some of it but only a tiny minority of super lucky players will ever witness it! When luck is followed by reasoning and mental strength you have individuals capable of doing the most out of that. Reality tells us that lucks, sometimes, always goes into the wrong hands. Result is that, eventually, people waste their luck and lose everything.

It's such a pleasure to watch Manchester City playing on the pitch, Guardiola has always been and still is my fav team manager! These guys can really make a hell of a season if they are to win both Premier League and Champions League! My attention today goes to the derby between Arsenal and Tottenham which I believe will be an exciting match worth to follow. It may end in a draw.

This thread, with all the math and science that showers on everyone gets a sail of approval fro the most helpful thoughts to have in mind during ATHs. So far, this confirmed science is sustaining the price in a marvelous way and who are we to stop it?

Good saturday WOers.
I like the inspiring wisdom found in this old Chinese proverb:
"The best time to buy bitcoin was 12 years ago. The second best time is now."
and a haiku for the gents
Coastal spreading dunes A terrific biscuit walks watching the bitcoin

if Microstrategy was there to say that he bought a lot of things using bitcoin, that would be great news, but they just showed up to say that they do what 90% of people are doing and that news indirectly encourages more people to think only about hodl.
Of the same feeling, I think I'm feed up with the whole Institutional investors buying and buying bitcoin, before you know it now, they will have majority on their hands that they'll be able to influence the movement of the market this time directly. Hope we all know there's 99% possibility for bitcoin to dump massively if Microstrategy was to come out and declare they'll be selling their bitcoin holdings or some fraction. We are giving them too much attention. They aren't adding anything to the industry yet only making money off it. I think we need companies offering utilities, we need companies that'll buy into the idea of accepting bitcoin as payment options and give announcement like this more often instead of constantly manipulating the market with their news of acquiring more coins that only benefit them. Tesla bought bitcoin then they offered it as a payment options for their electric cars, we need more companies like this. For those who buy there are those who sell. If they value bitcoin so high and keep buying I don't see any problem with that; yes they are stacking big here but should they be stopped? Bitcoin is not for payments only anymore: it is a clear unit of account, a medium of exchange and, more importantly, a good store of value. The market decides where the bitcoins need to go. Relax.

Its like adding fuel to a fire. First of all, you shouldn't bet with what you cannot afford to lose. If you do lose it all and are looking for handouts so that you can bet more. You are suffering with gambling addiction and you should seek medical help, not try to find other ways to be able to bet. There are a lot more noble causes where you could donate to charity, like helping underprivileged kids get quality education. Providing food and shelter to the homeless. Helping animal shelters and animal rescue. Medical research funds for Cancer, Corona and others etc. Maybe its just me, but those to me are waaay higher priority than helping some gambler make that 1 or a few extra bet. The thought itself seems absurd to me. No offense.
I have to second every single word here. It's absolutely foolish to even think that supporting gamblers with more money would be the way to go. First of all, a gambler needs to recognize his/her own condition and work on that first. Only after having recognized that and started a some human development path there could be some sort of financial support which would have to be linked to be progress made. Charity and gambling in the same phrase sound like an oxymoron to me. Sorry

Tuchel's treatment is apparently working: after Monday's match, against the ambitious Ancelotti's Everton, Chelsea brought home the eleventh positive result. The music has definitely changed since the German coach has been on the bench. Today is not going to be easy facing Leeds but I think Chelsea can win this one too.

Thanks for the invitation but I'll skip this month and I hope I'd available for another one. Too busy at the moment to focus on a contest that would drive me mad, considering how competitive I can possibly be. I wish best of luck to all those who'll let in and I'll follow the contest to see how it goes.

@Theb If we'd have to speak the truth, and leave some bitcoin maximalism aside, I'd say yes we should give them some credit, but not too much. It's thanks to companies that now make the blockchain even more transparent that old investors, funds, trusts, companies, wealth managers etc are here to pump the price up. If it stays like this, it's fine by me but I'll always be very much concerned about my privacy when transacting with bitcoin. 1 satoshi is always equal to the next one and I don't care about its provenance. This is what we do with cash every day because I don't think we all check if a banknote was used to buy drugs, to play poker and so on. If we'd do that, we'd be crazy. Ending note: I'm eagerly waiting for taproot to be finally activated.

Roma seemed to me the best team equipped for winning this Europa League and after the game I saw yesterday I'll confirm my thoughts. I'll be placing a bet on them winning the cup at the end. There are only 3/4 other candidates to reach the final and IMHO they're Ajax, Tottenham and Milan. I don't think the other teams can make it there.

Updating the old graph... almost 1 year anniversary of the big crash... Gold is heading back to 'normal' levels of $1600, while BTC is Off. The. Charts.
Wealth Manager: How is your Bitcoin thingy going then? Me: Not bad. Do you remember when you asked me to buy $250 index-funds monthly and I said no? WM: Yeah, I remember. I am sorry you didn't do that as we have a consolidated 12% yearly return. Me: Yeah, you're right. I am sorry I don't know the exact figures of my btc yearly return as it is Off. The. Charts. 12% yearly is pretty damned good for traditional investments (of course bitcoin beats that in almost any timeline of any kind of significant timespan of 4 years or more). I know JJG but when you get exposed to Bitcoin, the simple idea of having to deal with traditional investments is a pain in the ass. Can't really deal with that anymore.

Ripple will survive becoming the new international clearing and settlement layer for banks. Once the project started being co-opted by the banks, it was a clear sign that there was no going back from there. Don't expect too much from this coin, better move your attention to XLM which is a much likable versione of XRP.
