761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops on: September 20, 2017, 05:35:30 PM
Hello dear bitcointalk community, would you like to tell me where i can find actual airdrops?
Does exist the thread of airdrops ANN?

I would look for the Byteball airdrop. You can link your Bitcoin addresses to Byteball addresses and then just wait for the next period (which is going to happen next October or November I don't remember right now, look it up). You will receive a small amount tho... they have decreased it a lot, but the good news is, once you have some Byteball, you will receive a % of your holdings each month until the airdrop is finished.

You can also look at the BGold Bitcoin fork coming soon.

762  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin core and Bitcoin ABC on the same Linux machine on: September 20, 2017, 04:46:47 PM
Call me paranoid, but I got my laptop to sync the damn thing (Bitcoin ABC) because there's no way im going to compromise my main machine with dodgy software, specially coming from the hands of Dr Craig Wright himself and the rest of scammers.

Im going to leave that laptop (which contains no relevant information or anything of value) to install all the failed hardfork attempt clients in order to sync the chain and dump the coins for free BTC.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Dead Without China? on: September 20, 2017, 03:04:30 PM
Well last time I checked we recovered in an all-time fast record of $1000+ in a matter of hours and we are sitting comfortably at $4000 now, so no, we don't need dog-eating degenerate working-drone chinks to pump the market in order for us to win. We will win with or without chinese money in the game.

I've seen Wall Street Journal and similar repeating the same news for the past few days trying to further crush the market but is not working. Everyone on china already dumped and every speculator in the rest of the world already did their moves. I don't see how it's all nothing but green lights to go to the next ATH now.
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bought BCH @ 0,20580002 - Should I sell or hold? on: September 20, 2017, 01:17:16 PM
Bch currently sits at 0.12btc. I initially bought in to day trade, which it went up to my goal on the day. However I held it, I'm not good at taking long positions and I've lost about a third so far. I'm unsure whether to cut my losses or hold. Anyone with a technical analysis or an opinion on whether or not I should cut? Anyone in the same boat?

Your first mistake was buying BCash. Why would you do that? As a Legendary member, I assume that you had a decent amount of Bitcoin, which means you received a decent amount of BCash. Well you should have dumped that when the situation was right, get your profits and leave. I don't understand why anyone would gamble by buying BCash, a coin that is a mess since day 1 and is mined by someone that we don't even know (possibly Craig Wright) which owns more than 50% of the hashrate. Why do this to yourself?

Never lose Bitcoin with shitcoin trading. I guess hold until there's a pump and then dump it, or just take what you have already and forget about it.
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Segwit2x hardfork scam heavily exposed on: September 20, 2017, 12:31:52 PM
Whalepanda does it again:

https://medium.com/@WhalePanda/segwit2x-the-broken-agreement-e9035a453c05

A fantastic article showcashing the "New York Agreement" scam, for the segwit2x scam, and the break of the so called "agreement". With the materialization of BCash hardfork, the agreement has already been broken, since it didn't contemplate 2 chains, amongst other things.

Only enemies of Bitcoin are supporting the segwit2x disaster at this point. Keep your eyes open.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Missing deposit in POLONIEX on: September 19, 2017, 11:05:39 PM
hi

last month i've deposited 3800 NAVCOIN from navcore to POLONIEX, but they did not arrived, it's seem to be disappeared (but in blockchain it was ok!!)!!!

I've opened a ticket but don't reply yet.

there some possibility to recover my NAVCOIN or... they will be missed for ever??

Thank's!!

Can you post the transaction id link to the Navcoin explorer? use this website: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/ then post your transaction here just to be sure.

In case you didn't screw up on your end, create another ticket and keep demanding your coins, and also go on Reddit and accuse them of scammers. When you create social pressure they will get their shit together and look at your case.

Im willing to help but first you have to be sure that you didn't screw up yourself.

This thread should also be moved the service discussion so other people can see it. Look where you post a thread next time buddy.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Bitcoin Mining? Difficulty has increased so much in the past few days. on: September 19, 2017, 03:24:38 PM
What do you guys think is the future of Bitcoin Mining? Difficulty has increased so much in the past few days. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

The difficulty will keep increasing along the price as the mining operations keep expanding, but I predict a possible chinese ban on mining which will finally put an end in Bitmain's monopoly, so that would actually be bullish even if temporarily the market corrects.

I think there's a lot of hashrate already and we could easily survive with less hashrate so im not worried about that.

I doubt that will happen tho, because Bitmain is founded by Chinese government.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao vs. Horn - REMATCH! on: September 19, 2017, 03:00:29 PM
After Canelo vs GGG, Manny Pacquiao went on twitter and said:

Manny Pacquiao: "Did they bring these judges over from australia?"   Cheesy

I haven't seen Canelo vs GGG yet. With everyone saying GGG won and was robbed by the judges, I thought that was a hysterical comment from Pacman.

Definitely looking forward to this rematch. So far behind on my tape watching, I still haven't seen the first one. Need to step up my game.

It's nice to see that Pacquiao still cares about his boxing record because it means he will come back. I think the rematch will happen 100% granted, he is still hurt after the decision in australia and he will try to get a rematch with more even judges.

I really hated one of the judges in Canelo vs GGG, it was really strange to see such a wide gap in one of the cards, almost forcing the draw.
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 19, 2017, 02:25:45 PM
Barcelona's record signing Ousmane Dembele is expected to be out for three and a half months after having hamstring surgery.
The 20-year-old France forward was making his first La Liga start when he pulled up in the 29th minute in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Getafe.
Barca said Dembele was successfully operated on to repair a ruptured biceps femoris in his left leg.

The Dembele thing is insane. They got rid of Neymar which was a top10 player in the world and a contender for a Golden Ball and instead they got this guy and they were unfortunate enough to hire him right when he gets an injury. Even if it was a success, they spent 150 million in a guy that is going to be out of the game for 3 months. 3 months is a long time in elite football, and he will need an extra month to get back to full shape.

Honestly Barca is a total disaster lately. Im going for Real winning the next Champions and Ronaldo winning the next GB.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: September 19, 2017, 12:42:15 PM
No way Kevin Lee is gonna win vs Ferguson.  Ferguson is the best in the LW division.  Not McGregor nor Khabib has an easy chance vs him.

I will be making the thread for 216 later.

Im willing to give Kevin Lee a chance as the hungry young Lion looking for fame and glory. It would make his nake skyrocket and he would definitely get a shoot against McGregor for a super fight if he wins Ferguson. Of course chances are Tony Ferguson will win, but im willing to take a risk here. No big risk no big reward, and I think Kevin Lee making an upset on this one is a good bet as long as you aren't gambling crazy money, but the gains can be worth it.

Also   regarding the  coin supply , obviously it's  better  when it  is low, but  how much low ?
The total amount of coins does not matter. As long as you understand that the individual coin value will have a lower value potential for a coin that has a high total supply. You'll just need to hold more of them, than you would a coin with a lower circulating supply, to achieve the same margins. (this of course directly relates to coin market cap)

I disagree with this fact, I think the total amount of coins matters. People tend to not like to hold long term coins that have billions of total circulating coins. This is an interesting subject, it may be psychological or not, but I think it's a fact.

The coin release is obviously important because if the inflation is too strong, the price will face constant dumping.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: September 18, 2017, 10:41:07 PM
Next big event is UFC Fight Night Ovince St Preux vs Yushin Okami on september 23rd, 2017.

Bellator 183 Benson Henderson vs Patricky Freire is also on september 23rd.

The UFC event is in japan. Both events might be on during different times due to time zone differences, even though they're listed as being on the same day.

Most fight nights aren't really that exciting for a casual fan like me, I don't know what all of these people are to be honest. I only like to see the world champion contenders going at it and only gamble on the big fights. Sometimes there are good night fights but not often for a casual.

This is the one I can't wait to see. Im betting on a Kevin Lee win.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 18, 2017, 03:00:24 PM
Can believe what happen on this race, to be honest before the race i was hopping to find that i can place bet on safety car.

Looking again and again on replay start from all possible angles that i found i most person i fell sorry are Vettel and Alonso. Alonso with McLaren for the first time since they have Honda made awesome start shame was this incident with Max and Kimi. Cannot blame both of them but Seb and Alonso got the biggest impact one was first other was kicked in crash. Anyway good race for Lewis he didnt have any competition here but this is very bad setback for Ferrari drivers. Didnt find out anything for this crash incident and believe that they will be some severe punishment for next race by race officials.

What I was expecting became true: Fernando Alonso is the best pilot with rain and would need a crazy start in order to get a podium this year, but unfortunately the accident with Vettel happened.

If Vettel didn't push Alonso out of the track, it would have been almost a guaranteed top3 result for Alonso, but his bad luck continues. He was so pissed that reportedly he made a hole on the hotel wall with a punch.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: September 18, 2017, 01:03:53 PM
Well guys it looks like Jones is officially stripped off his title after failing two tests for steroids.  His rematch with Cormier has been now overturned into a 'no contest'.  Cormier is reinstated as the LHW champ.

Jones you stupid little ****.  What a waste.

What the....

I'm so disappointed with Jones. He just wasted his fucking career. I guess Cormier is right portraying what's the real personality of Jones specially in their first fight. You will hear Jones talking shit about Cormier and he thought that the microphone is offline. I still remember Cormier saying that Jones trying to sell himself as the good guy but outside he is so arrogant and boastful. Glad to see Cormier being he LHW champ and for exposing how fraudster Jones was from the very beginning.

I don't know how can Jones get out of this situation. UFC has been very lenient with him but he took advantage of it. You can really see that something is fishy with how he bulk himself specially around his deltoids which typically scream for steroids used. At least DC was vindicated on his claims on Jones. I read that its gonna be a 4 year suspension but I'm sure he gonna appeal once again.

Daniel Cormier should be happy, he is still the champion. Jon Jones is a cheater, im tired of his bullshit, his career is over, he will no longer be able to recover from this. 4 years from now he will have no experience with real fights for a long time and he will lose if he fights a strong contender like Gustafsson.

Let's focus on Ferguson vs Lee coming soon this October.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: For a long term investiment on: September 18, 2017, 11:40:37 AM

Is it better a minable coin or  a  NON-minable coin?

Also   regarding the  coin supply , obviously it's  better  when it  is low, but  how much low ?

Market cap  better  under  200'000'000

Obviously the most important  things when choosing a cripto  are  the  team  and the tecnology behind  the project...  so take  my questions  just as ''curiosity''

What you need to look at is at the circulating supply to total supply ratio and of course, the technology and devs (and how often they update things, if they are active etc).

If it's minable, you want it to have a coin release curve similar to bitcoin (in other words, the opposite of fiat currency). Look at this to understand it:

If it's not minable then you just need to look at the total supply since there is no issuing. But at the end of the day, the technology will dictate how much money wants to be put on your coin, but it's good to make it scarce to incentivize hodling.
776  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Could China Ban Miners. on: September 17, 2017, 05:54:48 PM
So after all the news of regulation on the exchanges in china and the anouncemnet of VIABTC and BTCC closing down would it be a fair assesment to say that miners could be next in the line to be closed down?

Whats your views?
that you need to stop running around shouting 'The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"

China putting regulation and licensing structures in place for all crypto-currencies is A GOOD THING and shows that crypto-coins are being viewed and treated the same as 'Real Money'.
That means:
For exchanges, they must follow globally recognized AML and KYC laws when exchanging coins into fiat.
For exchanges with customer accounts that not only hold ccoins but also fiat, they must hold specified amount of cash reserves.

And then there are ICO's which in many countries are pretty much totally un-regulated stocks and as such are mostly pump-n-dump Ponzi's. Regulations for them should have been laid down long ago...

The regulatory structures are being put in place for OUR protection (well partly at least) and that of hopeful investors funding the ICO's. Interesting how so many folks want the totally-unfettered Wild West type of crypto-markets and yet if they suffer any losses they immediately hunt for legal recourse to get their money back. You cannot have it both ways...

Indeed, it is a good thing that people that want to exchange their fiat for BTC doesn't get scammed by the people setting exchanges and then running with people's crypto, but there's more than that happening in china:

https://pastebin.com/6vKp6rh6

This looks like a straight ban to me (if legit). The good news is, it's already priced in, so we can only go higher from now on. I doubt china would ban mining when it's still legal to possess BTC and OTC market happens all day.
777  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan buys Bitcoin (after Dimon crashed the market) on: September 17, 2017, 03:54:50 PM
Since they have money and they are very influecial many people will listen to them and they know that the price will dip. Most likely they intentionally announce that to have an entry point to invest. Sneaky sneaky sneaky.
They can’t build they happiness on someone else’s pain, Karma will get their.

I agree. Some say it was a smart move on their part, but I don't think taking advantage of people's trustingness will bring one anything good. They knew well that people would listen to what they are saying and they were right, people indeed started panic selling after  JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon called bitcoin a "fraud". I'm sure some people lost money because of that and that's JPMorgan's fault.

One would at least hope that people that panic sold in the hands of Jp Morgan and China's ban would learn as JP Morgan has bought the dip heavily, but don't never underestimate how stupid people are. They see in front of their eyes that they got scammed by Jamie Dimon, and im sure that the next time Jamie Dimon goes on national TV to say how BTC is a scam, people will dump again because people are drones. It will take a lot of times until the common folk realize that they are getting their BTC scammed from the same people that are calling it a fraud, but meanwhile they will get intimidated by them and will continue selling, until then, let's rise again to new heights to prove them wrong.
778  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why has no fiat casino adopted provably fair gambling? on: September 16, 2017, 05:04:59 PM
Provably fair sites like Yolodice use cryptocurrency and as such run on the blockchain. The blockchain is used to determine fairness and randomness.

That's not true. Pnline fiat casinos could be just as provably fair as the Bitcoin ones. The fact that they aren't can only mean that there's no demand for it from the people who play at the fiat casinos, because it would be easy to offer.

I guess in general Bitcoin gamblers tend to be more technically savvy than the average fiat gambler, and isn't put off by the concept of hashes. You might find that more fiat gamblers would be scared off if you started shoving "formulas" in their face while they were trying to play.

I think that as crypto gains more and more terrain in the gambling industry, the regular fiat casinos are going to be pretty much forced to step up their game and offer the same as what crypto casinos are offering. If people can get paid in bitcoin and then gamble in provably fair gambling they are going to do it because it's very convenient to do so. I like to gamble and play crypto games with my sig campaign earnings because I get paid with it and I don't need to do the cumbersome step of fiat to crypto conversion.

What is stopping global adoption is

1) Lack of lightning network
2) Easy to find jobs that pay in BTC

This will lead to more use of the currency including gambling.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao vs. Horn - REMATCH! on: September 16, 2017, 03:46:08 PM
Well in hindsight, I  think even Arum knows that Pac is going to lose that match due to the judges. You can see his reaction when Pac lost to Bradley in their first fight which was also controversial. Arum raised hell during that time. However, when Pac lost against Horn, he did not even blink. He is just milking Pac until Pac hits retirement.
Bob Arum is trying to milk Pacquiao to the last drop. How we wished that rematch with Horn would have happened sooner than later because as Pacquiao is getting older, Horn is getting more matured and gaining more experience. But whatever happens, win or lose, Pacquiao would still have his fair share of the earnings, so would Uncle Bob. It's all business for these guys nowadays, because both Pacman and Bob Arum are in the twilights of their career and life, respectively.

Bob Arum has always been the money so has been everyone invested in the boxing industry, because it has become a industry where fighters just look for the highest paying fight. Back then you would have guys like Julio Cesar Chavez fighting the best all the time and all their prime.

But you can't blame them, you have a limited time in fighting and you must make as much money while you are still sharp.

Pacquiao should fight again and then retire. I wouldn't like to retire with a loss if I was a pro.
780  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any multiplayer games where you can bet bitcoin? on: September 16, 2017, 02:34:08 PM
I want fun, multiplayer games to make bets with my friends using Bitcoin. My favorite of all times that I've seen was this:
Sadly there is no future for those gambling types.I have seen a few other websites which were shut down within a month of launch. The primary reasons were,
 - Lack of players online if someone wants to play.
 - Solo players don't want to play with bots.If everyone plays with their friends,it's obvious people would have to wait to find a matc

Unfortunately the project is abandoned. It could have been awesome if it got perfected with the lag problems fixed and so on. I love the idea of arcade games mixed with bitcoin. I was wondering if anyone knows any similar games where you can bet some bitcoin at.
Nope.You can bet on e-sports.

I think it's just due the fact that we are still very early on the game. If we were getting people involved in crypto at a mainstream level, those sites would be filled with players.

Just give it 10 years and kids will be getting paid in BTC on the internet with their youtube videos and social media, then they will use these sites a lot of more, because the problem is, if you have to buy first with fiat, it's not too appealing, but if you get paid in BTC, you are more prone to make a transaction and play a couple of matches. I used to play with my sig campaigns earnings, but if I had to buy the BTC to play then I wouldn't be bothered.
