761  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk's Alexa Rating during this bitcoin bull run and some funny stats.. on: January 06, 2021, 05:40:25 PM
The weird thing is how Alexa got these keywords "nutildah and perfect money" which is rarely used unless nutildah keep using this keyword?

They're not "nutildah and perfect money" together but separate searches. I guess buying bitcoin with perfect money must be a popular option and people will be searching nutildah for the reasons below (though I'm surprised it's that high).

The weird thing is how Alexa got these keywords "nutildah and perfect money" which is rarely used unless nutildah keep using this keyword?
I guess from the BSV shills and butthurt's searched traffic all over Twitter, Reddit, etc with the thread he/she made about BSV scam.

Some of these can be found when you search nutildah on google. ^^

The first non-bitcointalk mention of nutlidah is this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/bitcoincashSV/comments/fzs4bm/nutildah_the_troll_that_made_the_scam_thread/

Maybe it is bounty hunters rather than Bitcoiners

I believe the PC term is 'cryptocurrency enthusiasts'  Cheesy.

What the hell is happening to Liverpool? I didn't watch the game but are they bottling it? I thought going for 1-1 was risky but didn't expect them to lose. Only one person backed the home win and even got the score right. Looks like City is gonna run away with it this year. They practically had their b-team out against Chelsea and still managed to stuff them.
~snip

City or United? United is actually having the best winning strike in years, and they are currently on the top (or second, but with a game to play)
it is an interesting season, I thought that Tottenham having bad strike will kick them out from the race, but Liverpool is having bad strike as well, and that gave chance to others to come closer, United used that chance in a best way
even Everton and Leicester are still within distance to top teams, it will a hell of success to get Champions League spot this season, obviously

is it due to empty (or 2000) attendance or something else, but one of the most interesting seasons in a while

Man City or United what? To win the league? City. I don't think United are strong enough and will drop in form soon enough. Maybe I'm not giving them their dues but they haven't really played any tough teams recently except for City and Leicester where the managed draws. They're playing Liverpool on the 17th so that should be good.

Lampard getting sacked soon?

They shouldn't have given him the job anyway. ex-Players should have to prove their worth managing other clubs instead of being a shoe-ins for big clubs. Always annoys me when people brandish managers great and their first jobs were managing Barca or PSG or something and then move on to another huge club who always win. Go manage an average team and they see how well they do. Managers are usually only as good as their teams.

Looks like we've got another unique yellow cap winner with famLFC coming out on top. He only won it by 0.5 though and just beat out tomahawk9 and jayce.

FA Cup this weekend & I’m kinda goad, my boys LFC are in terrible form. We could do with a change of scenery, that Van Dijk injury & also losing Joe Gomez for the season has KO’d us. Oh well I support my team through good & bad times.

I kinda liked having the lots of games over the Christmas/New Year period. Always something to watch. The 12th seems a long way away now. Really don't care for the domestic cups these days. They probably should have scrapped them this year with covid.
764  Other / Meta / Re: Make this forum a better place - part 3 on: January 04, 2021, 04:03:38 PM
We implemented merit system back in January 24, 2018. Personally, I think that merit played an important role in partly improving the posts quality but seems it’s still not enough.
Recently, there are a lot of complains regarding to low post quality, more newbie restrictions, etc.

Since theymos doesn’t want to apply more restrictions on newbies (and that’s logical) and wants to keep this forum newbie-friendly, I came up with an idea to implement “Reactions on posts”.

We can have:
1.   Like (good post)
2.   Dislike (bad post)
3.   Haha (not spammy but funny post) or any other idea for neutral comment.

Reactions on comments
The positive side of this implementation can be that bitcointalk members will be able to react on each-others posts. In overall, we will create statistics of high quality and low quality posters that will help us to identify spammers. When there are a lot of dislikes on posts, it will automatically alarm the moderator to remove the comment.

The trouble with disliking a post is it will just lead to abuse as people will auto-dislike the posts of a user they don't like. They could even use bots and multiple accounts to do this just to get the post reported. If a post is bad then it should just be brought to the attention of the mod via reporting it. As for a 'like' button I wouldn't be against it but that's kinda what the merit function is for, though I know not everyone has a lot of merit and sometimes you can like a post for being funny or whatnot without wanting to merit it. I would just encourage users to reports posts they think are spam or bad, but I also think we should still crack down on poorly run campaigns that are paying them to make the mess in the first place which would cut down on a lot of rubbish. Some perks for people who make a high volume of accurate reports would also be beneficial as a reward for reporting as currently it's a thankless task so most people probably don't bother. More people would probably report things if there was some advantage for doing so.
765  Other / Meta / Re: Suggesting this: BrandNew account limits on: January 04, 2021, 03:41:19 PM
This is only going to penalise genuine users whilst giving advantage to bots who can automate the process. Theymos is never going to do anything that is this restrictive so we need ways that only effect the bots.
Something like adding a simple captcha to brand new/newbie accounts before posting?

It'd be a bit of a pain, but it's not restrictive, and most already do that on faucets, so doing another one to send the bounty report won't really matter to them. Bot owners could of course pay for the services that solve captchas for their bots, but it could reduce the number of bots (or so I want to believe).

The "only" downside I'd see is that depending on the captcha type, it wouldn't be very TOR friendly

Well I have suggested that before but there's already a captcha and the bots are getting past that and I think they can get past the other more complex ones so it's a case of how annoying it is to genuine users vs how many bots it potentially stops. Captchas can be very annoying to new users, especially when they take repeated efforts to pass like they do with tor whereas a bot doesn't care and it will keep trying until it gets past it somehow or like you said they'll pay people to solve them which can be done very cheaply. Maybe we could require a captcha if the new user makes a post that contains an url or the first handful of posts a new user makes containing an url need to be approved by a mod before they go live (they could still appear as posted to the user essentially being shadowbanned until verified).
766  Other / Meta / Re: Suggesting this: BrandNew account limits on: January 04, 2021, 11:57:48 AM
How about limiting the number of accounts that are created every day or lets say each hour?

I am not sure if anyone has this data but there must be numerous accounts that are being created ever day. Out of these accounts only countable once could be from genuine or brand new user whose visiting the forum for first time. Some of them could be come back users with lost/hacked accounts.

. . . and most of them might be with the intentions of spamming.

Limiting account creation will slow down the burst spamming and might give more time to moderators and other users to fight against spam.

It won't stop the spamming but it will slow down the process.

This is only going to penalise genuine users whilst giving advantage to bots who can automate the process. Theymos is never going to do anything that is this restrictive so we need ways that only effect the bots. I think we should look at ways at stopping all these bots though as there's masses of them right now and it's only going to get worse. Shadowbanning would at least stop the spam from being an eyesore to everyone and genuine users won't know any different.

We can't request this action from theymos because he wants traffic on this forum and such members generate huge traffic of bitcointalk. High traffic means higher cost of ads on the website, i.e. high revenue for theymos. Forum runs on servers and has costs, moderators need money too (I remember hilariousandco said that they are paid according to their work).
The forum sits on ~1250 Bitcoin and theymos already said it doesn't need money, and he doesn't personally need to profit of it either (I'm too lazy to find back the posts). I don't think high traffic is a priority. Instead, the forum's mission is to be "as free as possible".
Maybe theymos wants to use forum funds for other good things? Check this!

I doubt forum funds will be used for things like that, but I'm sure you could get people to contribute to it. Things like seasteads are easier said than done though and usually will end in tears or deaths as they inevitable turn into cults or megalomaniacs take them over via their leadership.
767  Other / Meta / Re: Ledger database leak --> Phishing on: January 04, 2021, 11:41:19 AM
Unfortunately, more and more websites demand 2FA. I hate it! It's painstakingly slow to "quickly" login, and if anything it's less secure than just my password. Google Authenticator seems more secure (unless you use it to login on the same phone), but it doesn't provide a recovery phrase, so if your phone breaks, you'll have to go through support of all connected websites to recover your account.

If support easily deactivates 2fa then it's mostly useless anyway. 2 factor apps should probably require finger print unlocks. You're not going to forget your fingerprint and someone needs access to your device for that. Sadly, there's always going to be times when 2fs will need to be reset or removed and that's where the weakness is.

There are already victims whose data has been leaked to the network. Recently it was reported about a user who had $2,000 stolen. As soon as he learned about the hack, he decided to change the password on the device, and then he received a notification that a new device was added to his account with two-factor authentication.
You can read it in full at the link
https://www.coindesk.com/ledger-leak-sim-swap-home-invasion-threats

https://twitter.com/jimbochewdip/status/1341181907707572230?s=20

I wouldn't believe everything anonymous twitter accounts say. I'm not saying this hasn't happened and we shouldn't downplay the threat of it but I'm sure a lot of accounts will just be trolling or spreading fud and sim swapping is still quite rare. Phone providers probably should make the process more secure though and there must be ways that they can prevent the wrong person from getting the sims.

fortunately you seem not to be on 'full data' list (name+add etc...). A second db provides tons of mails that were linked to ledger in another way (mostly newsletter).
Yeah, maybe, but I have ordered from them before so not sure why they would only have my email.

How long ago did you buy them? Somewhere on reddit I've seen Ledger claiming to have >2 million customers. They could have lied about the number but I wonder if they kept the addresses for as long as the warranty lasted which differs from jurisdiction to jurisdiction (the legal minimum is usually at least 2 years in the EU but often less than that elsewhere).

I honestly can't remember but pretty sure it was more than 3 years ago. Maybe they only saved the address they were given consent to do so, or the addresses leaked were ones from more recently.

I don't think staff could ever see their emails contrary to what the message said (I could be wrong but I don't remember ever seeing them), but yeah I'm referring to the forum database leak. It would be very easy to match those emails to the ledger ones and you would then have someone's full dox. If you knew they were a member that likely had or does have a bit of money then they would probably be easy targets.

All mods also used to get reports via email and along with that the reporter's email address would be included. I don't know if notifications settings changes affected that but afaik everyone or almost everyone used to get these emails.

I think I had those notifications turned off, or at the least they were blocked by my email provider so I don't think I ever got them.

^  Happy new year!  2021 is gonna be another great for the UFC for sure.  We got Holloway vs Kattar and McGregor vs Poirier main events for January.  Sad that Chimaev vs Edwards was cancelled.  Would've been nice to see that...  I'm still not sold on Chimaev.

Yeah, people are just looking for the new Khabib or to drum up some rivalry between him and McGregor. McNugget's fights are always better when there's some beef between them.

McGregor VS Poirier I would love to see that please, the retirement of Khabib had really hit hard on me I don't know why but I am not getting excited about watching other fights than with his fights, but I think I am feeling enthusiastic again after some break and I think the upcoming fight between Poirier and McGregor with enlightening it again, Happy New Year Guys! and GOD Bless us all.

I don't think McGregor VS Poirier will be that great. As much as I'd like to see him fight again this will probably be a disappointment. It would be an ok warm up fight for McGregor if he's for sure going to continue fighting on after it but if he's just going to bounce straight after he collects his pay check or 'retire' again then I don't really care.

Check out latest short clip from Khabib Nurmagomedov interview for Russian TV with english subtitles, and later it was explained that the Khabib said that the winner McGregor vs Poirier will fight for the title:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olPmam7a3LU
I saw a recent interview with Dana White and the reporter asked about this particular interview and what he is said is that the translation was not right and so is the reason you heard these sort of headlines. According to Dana White Khabib Nurmagomedov said the fight between McGregor and Poirier should be the number one contender and Dana White still hopes to make the Khabib McGregor rematch Cheesy.

I'd like to see them fight again, but Khabib really doesn't seem into it. That money might come in handy for his own UFC promotion thing he's doing though so why not go all out for his 30th fight. The McGregor/Poirier fight shouldn't be for a belt. Neither of them deserve it right now. Maybe the winner could fight Khabib for it if Dana can manage to persuade him to return (though Khabib beat Poirier in 2019).
769  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: January 04, 2021, 11:13:52 AM
I believe a good compromise would be to add an additional donation tier so to not be unfair to those who donated in early days to get their status. Donation amount to get into that tier could then be set according to today's prices.
Why do we need a tier at all. Donation "rewards or staus" are usually only needed when there is a need to ensure there is enough capital to keep a project going. So it makes sense in the early days when value was low for people to send 10 or 50 BTC for the custom title and what not, to promote and grow BTC which is what most early users where looking to do. Now there really isn't any need to create custom titles for donating funds, the forum is flush.
Custom titles are much more relevant to what the forum needs now, such as reporters, and quality contributors to content and services throughout the forum. I don't see this happening, I'm just showing that time is more valuable to the forum than cash at this point.

Og pointed it out, people can donate at anytime in any amount if they truly feel the need. It just doesn't come with a title, which is what most people want. It's really just another part of being fashionably late to the BTC party.

Money doesn't last forever. It could be used to make further developments to the forum or maybe even for other worthwhile projects the community deems important, but we could even give the money to charity which would be a win-win in my opinion. We already have Copper Member with some very small benefits so why not offer Silver and Gold memberships etc. I think they would be very popular. Sure, some people would want them just for the apparent prestige or name but there are lots of benefits to more donator ranks in my opinion. If they came with benefits like bigger signatures and whatnot it would essentially make farming or hacking accounts worthless. Higher donator ranks could be given the option to change their name which if often requested but is seldom done and a lot of times there's good reasons for it. At least that would cut out the middle man of staff getting involved and most requests go unanswered anyway. It's also very difficult to rise through the ranks with the merit system and I don't think letting users bypass that by buying a Membership is a big deal. You can already essentially do that by buying an account anyway.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 04, 2021, 11:02:35 AM
Pundits are fine to dish it but can't take criticism. Besides, it's their plebby fans being plebby tweeting abuse that was the problem.

On the subject of Leeds, did anyone see the Spurs penalty they got? The contact/foul was quite clearly outside the box but the body was probably in, but VAR gave it as a penalty. Not sure of the rules on that but they didn't take long to examine it.

Yeah, I'm sure other pundits have taken a heck lot more of abuse on and off Twitter, though I'm pretty sure she got quite a bit of threat DMS. Mostly plebs as you say, but I've seen how people can take down people they target -- shame as she did have a point a lot of people online pointed out earlier even!

Twitter is one of the worst places on the internet. A Load of trolls and snowflakes battling it out to see who is more stupid. They're all just screaming into the void either way. If people can't handle criticism they shouldn't be using it to blast out opinions, or at least they shouldn't be reading the comments or replies. You're absolutely not made out to be a pundit if you can't take this sort of stuff as it is going to happen every week. People need to learn to ignore it.

Very impressive first half by Man City, to be 3-0 up at Stamford Bridge is not easy. Maybe this is the game that really kick starts their season because up until this game they’ve been really inconsistent.

For the record my prediction was Chelsea 2-1 City  Roll Eyes

I went for a draw. Chelsea should have done better but got walked all over. City practically had their B team out as well. Hadn't even heard of  quarter of their players. How long is it until Lampard is sacked? Werner accidentally kicking the corner flag and then going down like he's injured was pathetic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOJT8u8S3Io

That being said this week is bad for me and I need one correct score today to make it better but have no clue what to play on Liverpool game. I have a feeling this will be low scoring affair and maybe even a draw.

I've gone for the draw. Liverpool should win but I don't trust them right now and Southampton have been playing surprisingly strong losing to only the two Manchester teams and those were close.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 02, 2021, 08:18:58 PM
Epic game, full time now at Brighton 3-3 Wolves. I don’t think anybody predicted that one Cheesy
Just about to tune into West Brom vs Arsenal, part of me wants to see WBA get hammered for having the audacity to steal a point from Anfield Grin

Well I got the result right with a draw. Just a shame I picked 0-0. I've gone for another risky draw on the West Brom game. Arsenal should win but I don't trust them yet. West Brom got slaughtered by Leeds last game but I don't think the same will happen and I'm hoping Arsenal go back to their shit form like they were a few rounds a go. Need a draw from this game for my 4-fold acca as well for £80. Not hopeful though.

Anyway, I'll keep playing for a couple more weeks and see how I do.  I'll just prolly quit eventually.  Good luck and congrats to this season's bastards.

Lol. Didn't you win last season? Why quit when there's a $50 bet every week. Users can quickly jump up the board as we have seen several times.

P.S. Anyone saw the Leeds Twitterstorm this week? Not going to weigh in on that tricky minefield but I gotta say, pundits get a lot of flak, thought it'd be normal;)

What is going on with Liverpool? Told you I didn't really trust them. Only one person got the draw and two people went for the Newcastle home win.

Looks like we have another unique round winner with Hhampuz. Maybe things would have been different without the cancelled games. No games until new years day now.

I wonder how those players got it.  Could they have sneaked out and goofed around with hookers and escorts?  Cheesy  I wouldn't be surprised.  Lol.

Well they probably got it the same way everyone else does. Would have been quite easy to pick it up over the xmas period seeing friends and whatnot. I still don't trust those tests either unless they have symptoms. Most of the positive tests seem to come along asymptomatic.
773  Other / Meta / Re: Add Stickies to "News" Rotation on: December 29, 2020, 11:18:19 PM
I think it's a good idea. The rules need to be more prominent or easy to find, especially for new users. I've even suggested before that we put some of the most important ones as warnings at the top of certain sub boards so they get drilled into users, which are maybe only shown to newbies or can be turned off once you're a Junior or a Member or something.

I like the idea, but it may not be a priority now.
The Bitcointalk Community Awards, which has been concluded for a while is still being displayed, this could indicate that the admin does not have the time to properly manage the 'news rotation', so adding multiple threads at the same time would be a lot of work to ensure the information being given is updated.

There's plenty of staff that could do this, though only admins have access to the news feed but I don't think it would be difficult to give access to certain ones (though maybe theymos doesn't want to as potential security risk but that would be low). I think more workload should be delegated amongst staff as things tend not to get done or get delayed for ages and put on the backburner when there's probably a good chunk of things some of the other current mods could do.
774  Other / Meta / Re: What to do with posts like this? on: December 29, 2020, 11:11:49 PM
Lately, I often see some members write something on the topic of Bitcoin in their threads, and then the topic turns into some altcoin. Given that we have altcoins board it is logical that such discussions should take place there, but what to do in case we have something like this?

My Bitcoin Price Prediction $133K for 2021 and Yours?

My minimum accurate price prediction for Bitcoin is $133K for upcoming events happening in 2021, The max I can expect is around $140K. There could be miner -1% to -2% error while predicting bitcoin. What is your prediction regarding bitcoin for 2021?

For Altcoins, I am choosing this time ADA only and my ADA prediction is around $11 per token in 2021 bull run,  Which coin do you choose and what is your prediction regarding that token?

Does it make sense to report a post like this because it’s not completely on the wrong board? Maybe moderators could just edit the post and delete the part about altcoin?

I don't think there's rules about it but maybe they should be moved to the alt coin section if they involve coins other than bitcoin. You could quite easily abuse it if this became commonplace. Mention bitcoin even somewhat cursory then shill whatever shitcoin you want as an apparent after-thought. I've seen people do something similar in Meta. Create a thread about something vaguely forum related then start whining about something completely irrelevant that's annoyed them in the same post.

I'd just call it bitcoin related tbh. You can go off on a tangent as long as its not the main substance of it.

Does it make sense to report a post like this because it’s not completely on the wrong board? Maybe moderators could just edit the post and delete the part about altcoin?

Mods DO NOT edit posts. And most mods aren't even allowed to (that'll be reserved for the 5 "admin" users afaik - the ones who can moderate PMs).

I think any mod can edit a post as long as they have jurisdiction in that subsection. Sometimes editing something out is preferential rather than trashing the whole thing. The alt coin talk could certainly be edited out in this instance, or the post moved to the alt section.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 29, 2020, 11:05:08 PM
Finally, I'm able to get points on Arsenal, and it's all 3 points too bad more than half of other folks from the pool are getting points too.

I didn't watch Leeds vs WestBrom, but I had to double check to believe the scoreline, Wtf happened ?!

West Brom are shit, that's what happened lol. First goal was a brilliant own goal from 20+ meters out haha. Leeds just dominated. They had 76% of possession. 82% in the second half. I didn't expect it as I went for a 0-1 win and I even thought that was risky. Leeds are so inconsistent.

One thing that is really starting to piss me off is after giving away a free kick the player who's just committed the foul picks up the ball and runs off with it so they can't take it quickly. How petty and pathetic. It's becoming very common and Harry Maguire did it in the Wolves game with about five minutes to go even though it was 0-0 at that point. They should start booking players for that. It's pure timewasting and it's the same as kicking the ball away which earns you a card so so should that. Leave the ball where it is and fuck off.

Heh yeah..  The covid era.  Lol.
You mentioned covid and immediately covid made another hit. Our game of the night between City and Everton is cancelled due to covid outbreak in City squad. I could not find exact details but after Walker & Jesus were positive last week as well as some staff now there is many new cases. There is also some talk that City will close training grounds for some time.

I do not see how they can play the next two weeks then because is quarantine not for 2 weeks or 10 days minimum? So how will the games progress in this case? Will teams be forced to field a second team of B players/reserves? Does not seem fair but I guess this is why all players have to respect quarantine rules.

The entire team doesn't have it just a few players. They'll just quarantine them and make sure the others stay safe and test them a before they play.

Congratulations to @hilariousandco who took yellow cap from big_daddy by predicting exact score on Wolves - Spurs game. It's something incredible that after 15 rounds nobody haven't got yellow cap more than once. It shows how conpetetive our pool is. Unfortunately, there is just 38 rounds in EPL, while there is 48 of us here Cheesy.
Another race for golden cap will begin tomorrow - we have 3 round 16 games on Monday, don't forget to make picks.

Glad to finally get one. It would be nice if it could be won by unique people every week but this won't last forever and I'd certainly like to win another or two  Grin.

I've given up VAR thinking much now. Now VAR comes up and I just expect the worst. It has been kind to Liverpool past 2 games now, but overall nett negative still this season, just as it was nett negative last season. Couldn't really care less now, I never liked the implementation, not against the tech, but EPL are awful at implementing.

I'm so-so okay with my results so far. I tried a 4-2 city win trying to be clever haha. Serves me right for getting only 1 point.

VAR ruins enjoyment of the game, you can’t celebrate a goal properly any more because you’re always worried about VAR chalking it off.

Like you say, great tech but it’s being used by the same idiots who were making mistakes every week as referees.
We’ve (LFC) been negatively affected by VAR the most out of all 20 teams, that is fact by the way, not opinion. I saw a list detailing teams wrongly, negatively affected by having goals taken away & we were the worst affected.
We’re still top though with a crippling injury list most of the whole season.

And I’ve sucked in our pool for the second match week running grrrr!

VAR would be alright if they stuck to only checking if for clear and obvious errors (like it's meant to be used), but even then the idiots in VAR still get it wrong. Arsenal really shouldn't have had a penalty against Chelsea. In play it looked like an obvious one and the ref had made the right decision, but on the replays you can see he just went down looking for it. VAR should have picked this up but nah, penalty stays.

I didn't watch it but what happened? I had them down to win 5-0 lol. Nobody backed a draw or loss. The game away to Newcastle could be tetchy. I've gone for a Liverpool win but maybe they could lose more points at St James.

They just saved me from locking the opposite score I intended to.

Well it would be funny if Liverpool lose 3-0 now. I could see them losing the way they've been playing but probably not 3-0.

A few people still need to make their picks.

Leicester vs Man Utd kicks off soon, who’s watching? It’s a pure day of football today, all day  Cool
I hope to do much better in our pool today, I was terrible last week, possibly my worst score ever (over the 3 or 4 seasons we’ve been doing it).

I am. Probably the only game I'll watch today. Gone for a 2-2 draw on it. Anything could happen in this game though and they're both battling it out for second place. Still don't trust United to win especially away, but not sure Leicester are strong enough for the win and United have been playing pretty good recently hence the draw. 10 people have gone for the draw, seven for the home win and everyone else the United away win (which I'm surprised is the majority).

If you're going to remove them from one section then you may as well remove them from all boards as this doesn't solve the problem at all. All it will do is push the spam onto other subs where they can monetise it, thus making the forum overall worse. I'd rather the spam be in there than everywhere else but even the spam in the alt coin section would be better tackled by alternative means. If someone is paying them to do this then they should face repercussions along with the users making the mess. People would soon get the idea if there was recursions for this behaviour but if we don't crack down on it and let campaigns largely police themselves then they will continue to be lazy and abuse the system.
779  Other / Meta / Re: WTF? Why was this deleted? on: December 24, 2020, 10:26:53 AM
So the fucking moron keeps looking at my post history and keeps reporting my messages because it seems that it's a problem for this forum that, among the 400 posts I've written, there are 4 supposedly low-quality ones.

This is not a matter of me being a low-quality poster. It is a matter of moron constantly looking at my post history to see if he finds low-quality posts that should be deleted.

They might have been older reports. When you asked before I think there was still some unhandled reports against you in the queue so they might have just been handled.

However, why does the moderator delete my post when I give thanks to the campaign owner and doesn't delete the other similar posts in that thread and other campaign threads? Well, one reason for sure is because there isn't a moron reporting those posts.

Well they might not see them. If someone just reports yours or maybe one or two others then they probably won't go looking for other users posts to remove unless they see them when they handle your reported ones.

Btw, I gave two people negative trust. I hope the moron is not one of them. I'd like to think that moderators would take that into account when dealing with reports.

No. Like I said before it's someone who goes on reporting sprees reporting lots of these sorts of posts so I don't think you should take it personal as annoying as it may be.
780  Other / Meta / Re: 25 Messages deleted in one bulk. Why is that. Not sure what I did wrong!!!! on: December 24, 2020, 09:48:25 AM
can an admin delete all my posts please
Is there any particular reason why you want all your posts deleted?
Your account has not posted since July 2017 and has woken up twice within that period as I can see on BPIP. You would want to verify you're the actual owner of the account by signing a message with an address that has been posted by this profile.

Moderators do not typically delete posts on request (except there's a good reason for this). If you want your posts gone, you would have to do it manually.

I asked a moderator, but apparently, he can't

I have a good reason I can share with an admin, no publicly

Did you PM an admin? Moderators can remove them, they just likely won't without very good reason. Even then your best bet is just to remove them yourself if it's urgent. It might take a while but many users have done this in the past. You can't of course delete posts of yours that others have quoted but if there's posts of yours that contain personal information you can try report them to be edited or deleted as appropriate.
