761  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: September 13, 2023, 04:17:42 PM
So when I have set to exchange to 0.01 BTC to ETH, is there I have to send the amount of 0.01 BTC exactly?
What happens if I send it less or more for example I send 0.009 or 0.012? Will it be received according to what we sent?.

On the order set, I read that if I send 0.01 BTC I will receive 0.160154138151151 ETH (Network fee included). I think this exchange offered a very low fee and simpler transaction than the conventional exchange I tried. I think this is a big breakthrough in the future if they continue to maintain their service.

Well here is how i do it. I do enter the amount to calculate how many coins i will get, so i can get an idea of the exchange rate that i will get.

Now, before doing the actual exchange, I will clear all fields, and write only in the "To address" my address, keep the amount filed blank and click "Exchange". On the order process window, it will ask me to send any amount of the cryptocurrency to the given address.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping or recovering seed phrases during or after a natural disaster. on: September 13, 2023, 03:55:40 PM
It's a big concern if you only have one copy of your seed phrase, Our country has a lot of disasters, we have typhoons, floods, fires, and earthquakes and we have in our location what our experts call the Big One which happens every 100 years and it could happen anytime.

So I'm preparing for this I have three copies of my seed phrase stored on our farms and our ancestral home It is well kept and it's coded in case there is intrusion he'll have a hard time figuring it all out, having two or three secured and well-kept copies in different places is important you just never know when calamities and disaster happens.

Well dear, if there are so many natural disasters in your country, have you taken steps to safe guard your life first ? You can store your seed phrases to multiple places, but if there is no life then there is no use of all these phrases and money. I hope people give same attention to their lives as well.

Keeping seed phrases at many places may give you redundancy but at the same time, it gives more exposure to your seed phrase. For example, if you store it in bank , give it to some trustworthy person to store at another location and your home. Now if the bank gets robbed, or your relatives misuses the phrases then ?
763  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: September 13, 2023, 03:03:36 PM
I get your point virasog, but I doubt that it would be as dire for bitcoin as you suggest if some of those squiggly lines end up getting broken ($24,800 - ish). .and then bitcoin still ends up bouncing back, even though it wasn't supposed to be able to .. blah blah blah.

Yes, that's called manipulation, where the market makers and whales can give an illusion to the retail that look the 24K level is broken, now we are going down and everyone should sell, but usually such manipulation does not last long. Thats why we see "wicks" in the daily and weekly time frame, where the price moves down below important support but before the end of the day/week, recovers back.

In case, the price closes below the major support, does not recover and stays there in a higher time frame (Weekly), then chances are that the trend is broken.

Technical analysis (price action) does work in trading because the trading chart is not representative of the indicators & lines, rather it shows the human behavior and sentiments of the market, but most people do not know how to read them properly.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having the knowledge of bitcoin without having bitcoin is a waste on: September 13, 2023, 02:47:20 PM
No knowledge is a waste. If you have the knowledge about bitcoins but do not yet have the money to buy bitcoins, it is still not a waste. If you cannot buy bitcoins today, you will be able to buy tomorrow, what is required is patience and planning. When you have knowledge about bitcoins, you will be able to properly keep your investment in it safe when you finally have the money to invest in it. The knowledge you have gathered even before you were able to get your bitcoins will be important in safeguarding what you have gotten.

Yes, there are many people who do not have money to buy bitcoins. There may be teenagers or students who learn about bitcoin and they know that they will buy bitcoin once they start to earn money. So this logic that if you do not have Bitcoin, there is no need to know about it, is totally wrong.

Think that you are in a gathering and people/friends are discussing about Bitcoin, You can still participate in the discussion only if you have knowledge about Bitcoin (owing Bitcoin is not compulsory in this case).

Many people do not have knowledge about bitcoin but they then buy bitcoin and do not know how to safeguard the private keys and all other stuff. If they had prior knowledge it would be beneficial for them
765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: September 12, 2023, 05:07:34 PM

We will see that, be happy, the Bitcoin market today was hit by a negative sentiment and became a bearish sentiment again after some time before recovering a few months, the candle in September had been confirmed to be a red candle.
Next month gives a better moment to Bitcoin, and the right distance to save Bitcoin to Halving Bitcoin in this cycle, I am very waiting for it.

For predictions of a few days, it is more sideway and below, and that will definitely happen, maybe this sentiment will push the price of Bitcoin to the level of $ 24K- $ 23k back in the next few days before Bitcoin does it back up.
For daily and weekly TFs it can be confirmed as a red candle, but I cannot confirm that this red candle will continue on the monthly TF. This means that there is still a possibility of seeing a green candle before September closes, so don't let your optimism disappear just because of a correction.

In fact we haven't finished the second week for September yet, so I think there's still plenty of time to see the differences. Negative sentiment in the market can turn positive, but it may take some time to expect recovery. Red candles have been kept in July and August, but I didn't hope there to be 3 red candles in a row. While I'm not really sure what caused the market to correct in the last few hours, it's a good idea not to pay too much attention to it if you don't accumulate.

Well, on a weekly time frame, there is no change in the structure of the bitcoin. Bitcoin is making HH and HL and as long as this structure remain intact the bitcoin will remain bullish. For me, 24,800 - 25,000$ is a key level. A daily close below this level will mean that we may be moving towards a break of structure, and a weekly close below this level will confirm an extended bear market.

I hope Bitcoin will not break this important support and right now we are seeing that Bitcoin is pumping nicely from this support but seriously we would not want Bitcoin to touch this support a few times, making it weak.
766  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: September 12, 2023, 04:37:07 PM
But you are right, wallets should not be for trading. Although, those are not the real indicators, it is only suggesting buy or sell but not indicating it in candle sticks that will tell the information in charts instead of suggesting it. In my opinion, I do not see it useful and candle sticks indicators would be better and not misleading.

I wonder where they are getting this data from ?

My guess is that they get this data from the trading view which also shows similar type of technicals.

What if you're a Newbie, got this wallet recommended, bought your first Bitcoin, and then the wallet tells you "sell"! I'm not sure yet if I'll be recommending this wallet.

A Newbie will not buy and sell based on this indication because he wouldn't know how to use the swap option in the unstoppable wallet. By the time he learns the swapping coins, he should be familiar with basic trading and know what he is doing (when to buy/sell). If he just experiments with different options in the wallet without learning, then it is only his mistake.
Don't know why people won't drive a car on the highway until they have sufficient experience, but they will experiment with their crypto with incomplete knowledge. Sad
767  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: September 11, 2023, 04:32:46 PM
What's the deal with exchanging to XMR? I see that currently there is 0 reserves so I assume this isn't possible at present if there are no third party liquidity providers?

I created an order to see what would happen and I get the following:

Code:
min: 0.00000055 max: 0.00000000

Obviously there's something not quite right with that calculation if the maximum I can send is 0, but the minimum is 0.00000055.

They have some limited reserves for a few crypto and XMR wallets just seem to fill up slowly. As you can see below the screenshot, the current XMR reserves are zero, however  the last 24 hour volume for XMR was only 310. Also i can see only 1.4 LTC in reserve at the moment. If many people will use this exchange, I think the wallets will get emptied a lot quicker.

You need to be online and refresh the site to see if the XMR wallet loads up and you can make an exchange.

768  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: September 11, 2023, 12:28:58 AM
I've used the service for small swapping to test it. It's convenient service I wouldn't hesitate swapping larger amount if I had it. You can downloaded a letter of guarantee. They've processed swaps fast with good rates. They won't ask for KYC so users don't have to worry about getting funds suspended.

I have also tested the service and really like their service. i have also bookmarked the site, in case i would be needing to swap the coins, i will prefer eXch.

However, there is one question in my mind after my recent bitcoin to XMR swap. I send the bitcoin to the eXch.cx address and it took a few blocks until my transaction was confirmed. (These days the mempool fees are quite high) and my order was executed.

In case, we send Bitcoin to them with less fee, how long the order will remain active and wait for the confirmations? Is there any limit to this or the order will remain active to receive confirmation of the transaction even if it takes few days?
769  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Using Instant Exchange on: September 10, 2023, 01:04:21 PM
Meaning if i do multiple transactions using that Instant Exchange and convert Bitcoin to Litecoin. (The destination address of LTC remains the same in all the transactions )

No matter how many times you send bitcoin to the exchanges like exch.cx, they will always give you a new bitcoin address where you will deposit the bitcoin and in return they will send you whichever coin you want to exchange (in your case Litecoin). Usually, each time the Litecoin you will receive will be from a different address. Now there is no link between your bitcoin you have send and the Litecoin you have received.

So, if you are not looking for anything more than that, you can go for https://exch.cx/. It is one of the instant exchanges that I can recommend.

exch.cx is by far the most economical one to use for these types of transactions but i haven't tested it for any big amount. Their exchange rate is the best, close to the centralized exchanges like binance etc. Usually, it is better to conduct small transactions from these centralized instant exchanges, so the chances for their scam are minimal. No matter we do a multiple 50$ transactions or a one 500$ transactions, the fee will be same (1% Fixed or 0.5% dynamic).
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA'ing isnt a bad strategy on: September 10, 2023, 12:46:01 PM
What is your opinion?
And and which method do you prefer to be used in this present market conditions?

DCA is always been a good strategy in any market condition as we never predict the exact bottom and exact top of the market. If we keep on waiting for the perfect top/bottom of the market, then most probably we will miss our entries and exit. So the best thing to do is to DCA both when you want to buy and also sell in the parts.

However let's take one scenario like you want to DCA in the bear market, but most people do not know where to take entries. Sometimes they take entries to close like one DCA entry for bitcoin at 30,000$, another one at 29,000$ and third one at 28,000$ and so on. If you do DCA like this, soon you will be left out of money, if bitcoin reaches 25,000$ or 20K levels. You need a plan for DCA entries too so that you should have money in hand, even if bitcoin reaches 18K or below.
771  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [hacked wallet] how is this even possible on: September 10, 2023, 10:43:00 AM
My wallet is also compromised in that way and I lost more than 1k$ and so far I didn't found any solution.

Why didn't you created a new wallet as soon as you knew that something wrong is going on with your wallet and your private key is compromised and save your remaining assets  Huh.

Since there is no way to change the private key of a wallet, the only option is creating a new wallet without wasting any time and immediately transfer left over funds in that other new wallet. These things need to be done quickly as the hackers can empty the compromised wallets any time.
772  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: alternative to coinomi (android) on: September 10, 2023, 06:40:00 AM
AFAIK,  Unstoppable Wallet seems to be the most recommended one for multi-crypto mobile wallet by most of the community members for now.

Not only the Unstoppable Wallet is recommended by the community members for altcoins, but it is also recommended by Theymos here.

Quote
If you have a large variety of different crypto assets that you need to store, there's Unstoppable wallet.

So, I guess everyone should use the open source unstoppable wallet and abandon the use of the closed source Trust wallet.
For bitcoin, I personally use the Electrum wallet and also recommend it to everyone.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 09, 2023, 04:20:21 PM
Srilanka is looking strong at the moment in the match against Bangladesh and most probably they will win this match. That will keep Bangladesh out of the finals.

Look like you are underestimating the Bangladesh cricket team at the moment. Mushfiour and Hridoy have together put up a 50-runs partnership and they are slowly but steadily coming back in this match. Still, I would say that the target of 258 runs is not so much. In Bangladesh batsmen do not lose wickets and reach the 40th over mark, I guess their chances will further increase to win.

From Sri Lankan's perspective, they need one or two quick wickets. If they are unable to get any wickets in the next 2 to 3 overs, I think the balance of the game will shift entirely to the Bangladesh team.

All to play for, for both teams at the moment. Both can win the game from here.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Preparations for BTC Halving and bull market on: September 08, 2023, 07:14:58 AM
@OP I have the similar plan (minus such a big exposure to altcoins which is a serious gamble)

As i told you in my post, only 30 percent of my portfolio goes in the altcoins and the majority of them are large cap coins like Eth, XRP etc. Yes, I do include some low caps too but if you like or deny it, the altcoins do give big returns in the bull season. Yes, I know the risk that is why my exposure to each altcoin is very little so if any of the altcoin project fails, it won't have much effect on my portfolio.

Rest, I know bitcoin should be our focus and 70% of my portfolio stays in bitcoin.
775  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Usb Encryption on: September 08, 2023, 06:07:30 AM
I am not using this usb for anything important, but this is just showing how fragile and unreliable this drives are, so I would never use them for anything bitcoin related.
For me it's much better to have offline backup on paper/metal, without keeping important stuff in digital format.

It is very true that USB is not a safe tool to store important files. I had to throw two USBs against the wall because all my work data files could no longer be opened. For the first usb, I didn't give a password and the price was slightly cheaper than the second usb that I had used.

For all those people, who do not trust the reliability of the USB, I am surprised that you people trust the piece of paper which can be damaged too, ink fade, torn or even stolen from the money safe.

I have my Bitcoin saved on the electrum wallet on tails OS on the USB and I have a backup USB as well. So if my USB got corrupted or my tails OS got corrupted I will still have another copy. I plug in both USBs every week or 15 days to check if both of them are working. I don't think both USB can get corrupted at the same time. If so, I can buy another USB today and make a third backup too. Now there will be 0% chance of losing seed because USB is unreliable and corrupted.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / My Preparations for BTC Halving and bull market on: September 08, 2023, 03:20:33 AM
As you know bitcoin halving is a few months away (first quarter 2024) and then we may have bull season in 2024/2025. We are all excited about the bull season but no one prepares for it. People start buying Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies when the bull market is in progress and the prices are already high. Some even have the fear of missing out and buy at the top of the bull market. The result is that most people lose money in bull season too.

So in order to have maximum benefits in the bull market, you should have a plan and start executing it unless it is too late.

I have already accumulated bitcoin in my portfolio (70% of my portfolio is in bitcoin) which i will not sell until we are above the all time high again. Similarly, i have bought some major cap coins and a few others low cap too which i think will perform well in the bull season.  I have been doing this for the last 3 to 4 months, buying some at every dump.

If the market dumps further, I will not panic and if I have more spare money, I may accumulate more bitcoin. I am confident that this bull season will be the best so far as it will be initiated by institutional investors.

Also, to keep my bitcoin secure and to remain calm in times of dump, I have moved my bitcoins in cold storage so I never get tempted to sell on small profits like i won't be selling on 2x profit if bitcoin reaches 50,000$. My targets are clear and will sell in parts after bitcoin reaches new highs.
777  Economy / Economics / Re: We Are 2007 and next year 2008 on: September 08, 2023, 02:37:19 AM
Like my username we are in 2007 the 2024 year 2008 ..so 2008 started Strong money printing.
Also btc halving next year

So everything calculated Wink

Do you have any sources that suggest that there would be excessive money printing in 2024 also?

I am not denying the bull run here but I see that you are too over excited for the BTC halving and bull run and you may overestimate the targets for the bull run. I think it is better to remain calm and realistic and the effect of money printing may not be instantaneous. Yes, the history does repeat itself but it will be impossible for anyone to predict when it will happen. No one can time the financial market perfectly.
778  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a life by Day Trading on: September 08, 2023, 01:52:40 AM
Day trading is a way we can make profits from the market trading with a higher time frame but the trade does not last more than 24 hours.
It is called day trading because it is a short range trading for us to earn from the market depending on how we have positioned ourselves to make money from the market. There are traders that are day traders and they make a lots of profits from the market since they know how to position there strategy in a way that will make profits for them without much loses .

But do you think that day trading is profitable in all days? I don't think so.
Yes, you can make money in day trading but the income generated from day trading is not sustainable. You cannot be in profits in all day trades.

There will be days when you will hit your stop loss, and there may be days when the market will not give you any opportunity to make trades. Anyone who is solely dependent on day trading and has no other source of income, he will try to force trades which are not there and eventually end up losing money.
779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I found Facebook trading group they work with signals wolf of wstreet on: September 07, 2023, 02:05:33 AM
Well atleast there is 400+ members.
Anyways i remember long time Ago most of money i have made when ETC and SOL was pumping...i made out of 10$ to 500$ and that's something from that day i falled love with trading.

400+ that doesn’t know each other and probably most of them are just dummy account to boost the page member. Wallstreet members knew each other personally and they are working closely.

I doubt that this group is serious and loyal to each other especially the one who will give the signal to buy. Trust no one in crypto because we are all aiming here for profit not to become equally rich. Even scammer Bitboy was kicked out from his own company.

It's Free it's not payed service they are new so i guess they first give free signals to proof first.
Nobody don't without test out first and they are still young If i get good results i don't mind pay later.... But first i need to make money with their signals i dont pay anyone without proof first

Don't you know this recipe of the signals groups ?

They will open up a free group and start giving you dozen of signals with TP targets very near to your buying price. Next when you give so many signals, some of them are going to hit the target for sure. They will market them in a way that their Signals are 100% accurate and bla bla.

Then they will start their paid group and tell their members that from now onwards only one or two free signals, rest all signals will be premium. So some of the people will join their paid services.
780  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Mining fees as popularity of bitcoin rises on: September 07, 2023, 01:27:10 AM
When consolidating your inputs, make sure you use a fee that gets confirmed. As you said, mining fees are increasing, usually a very low fee can keep your transaction unconfirmed for a long long period, so be aware of what exactly you want to do.
When consolidating many small inputs you should not mind waiting, because you'll also want to save fees in that transaction, consolidation includes many inputs and as such a larger tx size. 1 sat/vbyte is the best fee rate for consolidating many inputs, and you then have to be patient and just wait for the tx to be confirmed.

Due to Ordinals spam, tx's cannot get confirmed with 1 sat/vbye anymore and the fee rate for purging is <6.42 as i type this, so right now may not be a good time for someone to consolidate their many inputs, except they are in a hurry, but if they are not; they can wait until tx fee rate is down to around 1-2 sats/vbye.

Well the problem is that we are not going to see 1-2 sat/vbyte anytime soon. Right now you can see that in order to get your transaction confirmed, you need to have above 14+ sat/vbyte and this may increase as we move closer to the Bitcoin halving.

So, if any want to spend from his wallet, he would have to pay this high fee, So it is better to consolidate the inputs during the weekends as i noticed that in the last weekend the transaction fee fell as low as 7 sat/vbyte.
