We Could also argue why WorldCoin has 265 million coins instead of 100 million Goldcoins and their are now more WorldCoins mined than GoldCoins.
One likes GoldCoin the other hates it. But when a Coin is succesfull people start open daily topics attacking the coin.
Because it wasn't a fair launch. One could argue it can never be fair for any launch, think about what you are saying here. Nothing is going to be optimum for everyone, and you can only get so much pre-exposure. At what point does the universe have more control over reality then your logic? I did think about it. I just look at the past at which coins had early adopter rewards and how they're doing now in the market and especially how they're perceived by the market. (eg. bitbar, mincoin) edit, it also doesn't help with others users like kr4x spamming about the coin in various threads and chats. (eg. look at Trucoin and how's he's vilified)

I'm done for the day with Phenixcoin mining. 2.6k PXC.
|
|
|
So mining 15 minutes at pool gave me 15 coins, solo mining 3 minutes gave me 100 coins There's something wrong with the pool calculation for sure... Yeah same for me and i thought starting with a pool would be an advantage lol At this difficulty, it's better to solo mine.

Nice, whats your hashrate?
I'm pointing only 1 mh/s at it. Rest is going to WDC.
|
|
|
This is what's in my Phenixcoin.conf: rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcport=10500 server=1 rpcallowip=* the 'rpcallowip' is because I have multiple rigs pointed towards my one server computer, which has the wallet on it. If you are running off one computer, you can ignore that setting. You can set rpcport to anything you wish, just make sure you point towards it with your mining program. That's too broad for rpcallowip and can be quite dangerous. Limit it to 192.168.* or similar.

Pool calculation is broken!
I found 25% of all blocks for a period of 30 blocks (with 5Mhash/s) so guess I bring in 25% of all shares in that specific pool (can't see it, they hide other miners) and only got 15 coins confirmed after 120 confirmations of each block while it should be close to 200-400 coins. Pool keeps an amount of the coins.
Round estimate says 15.85748586 PXC but I got 15 in total after finding 8 blocks and 120 confirmations...
Something fishy is going on here!
POOL DONATION IS 95% ?
We are not hiding other miners would not make sense too. Pools worked fine when we tested them looking for the issue now. How many coins were deposited into your PXC wallet? Account balance 15 coins, found 8 of 30 blocks so should be 25% of hashrate = 375 coins. I understand it could be a bit lower but not 25 times lower payout. All found blocks are confirmed 120 times. You're mining at the pool? Yup, I was. Then that means even though you found a block, you were sending in a share for that block. So you only get a portion of the value of the block as other miners are also sending in shares for that same block and they could be sending in more shares then you hence the low payout.

I'm solo mining.
Still getting blocks at 1mh/s.
Yeah, but you only get paid 5-10% of what you should get. Er no... each block is 50 coins. There's no donation to any pool since its solo mining.

Can anyone register at mcxnow?
|
|

Takes a small act of god to register on that site their "powered by C++" registration system works about 1% of the time
Fantastic.

Approximately 1600 blocks left until difficulty 1 is reached.
Congratulations to the community for the successful launch and probably one of the first instances of fair early mining.
Only complaint I have is that it was launched early. You mentioned GMT -4 but you launched it GMT -5. eg. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=209508.msg2208828#msg2208828
