761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money on: June 09, 2018, 06:04:54 AM
Digital currency is to change the world, many of which were positive, to a certain extent, they pose a containment of the government, gave the people an alternative, but that doesn't mean they don't need to be regulated.

One of the core reason is: anonymous, do not track, not regulated digital currency will make form a closed loop technology crime, money laundering and terrorist, and disappear from unsolved bits, bytes, while the impact damage with each person in this world.

If every penny of extortion is tracked, is there enough motivation and courage to launch a WannaCry to attack the world?

This is the reason why a fully anonymous coin will not really go mainstream. It cannot be allowed by the governments. Part of the responsibility of the government is to see to it that there are no frauds, terrorism, crimes, and so on that are making other people suffer. And if digital currency will become a tool for these criminals, the governments will have no other course of action but to regulate them.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Combining Bitcoin and flat currency, is it possible? on: June 08, 2018, 09:25:01 AM
I think so. Right now, we are actually combining the two. There are certain transactions that impossible to happen with Bitcoin. Included in these kinds of transactions are those that involve areas beyond the reach of the internet. Only the fiat currency could be used in this. There are also areas where electricity has yet to reach. We cannot use Bitcoin in these areas as well so fiat will be the only way.

765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is hodling alts dangerous? on: June 08, 2018, 08:38:32 AM
Last year alts rise a lot. I dont know the average percentage. But when I check coins in the market at year 2013 lots of them dead now (too low ranks). probably new tech coins won them (like peercoin, namecoin, ixcoin etc)

Also we are following new ICO s and most of us expecting too much gain from new coins which are not at the market. If our ICO expectations will happen, when they added to market, current market coins will go down. kind of paradox  Huh

It is not paradox. It is simply a case of competition. The better and more quality products and projects will always rise and win over those projects that are not at all rising to the competition. This is a healthy environment. It will effectively remove mere shitcoins and pump and dump coins that are not at all interested to pursue product development and seal new partnerships.
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2018, 07:49:30 AM
So many countries now were prohibiting the use of virtual cryptocurrencies. And to think that many unemployed individuals were beginning to uplift their way of living because of their dealings with cryptocurrencies. Banks doesn't expressly say why it is banning the use of Bitcoin.
What do you think is the reason behind this?

For me, the banks as well as the governments do not have to explain to the people why they do not cater cryptocurrencies to their clients or their citizens. At this point in time, there is no sense of urgency for them to provide a convincing excuse why they choose not to accept crypto. But of course the time will eventually come when they will be compelled to give in to the suggestion of their clients or citizens if crypto will become more mainstream.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings? on: June 07, 2018, 08:30:35 AM
I don't believe in them that much but at least they somehow give me some help me with my ICO research. After all, we still need these ICO reviews to get the opinions of the so called experts in the market. However, we should not just dwell on these review site's ratings. Their ratings do not assure in any way that the higher the projects get the more successful they will be. Apparently, that is not the case.
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy or not Cardano? on: June 07, 2018, 07:49:25 AM
Cardano (ADA) has had already made some moves that amazed a lot of crypto supporters. But despite that, I still believe that the project has still a lot to offer in its armory. The potential of this Japanese company has not yet blossomed to the fullest. The open source platform of Cardano will provide the market another strong competitor. Cardano smart contract is also not yet on its fullest. It is exciting to wait for them.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO - Will China lift ICO ban? NEO price? on: June 07, 2018, 07:09:52 AM
I am not a huge fan of NEO. And one of the reasons is that to a certain extent it is so much under the mercy of china. The country will anytime crush all remaining remnants of cryptocurrency in its territory. And we all know how china works as an autocratic government. Perhaps NEO will thrive more outside china or if china will finally admit that ICO is a new way that is so much fitted in a developed and digital world and lift the ban.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what can you buy with bitcoin? on: June 06, 2018, 06:24:26 AM
I have read several times of the so many ways to spend your Bitcoin. I think you can spend Bitcoin pretty much on everything right now. Although, only on selected countries and stores. In addition to the usual apparels, I have read that there are already hotels and traveling agencies that accept Bitcoin payments. In fact, I have also read that Lamborghini already accepts Bitcoin as well. In my country, a number of restaurants and stores are also opening up for Bitcoin payments.
771  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tired of checking charts on: June 06, 2018, 04:56:05 AM
How do you guys keep up with the charts?
Can't even sleep well anymore, if I stick to holding is it possible to make gains too ?

Gains, sometimes, have to come not as often as we wanted them. That is a reality in cryptocurrency. I guess you have already noticed it by now that the charts are not always green. There are a lot of times when everywhere you look at the charts, the only color is red. Don't be stressed with this. This is very normal. You stick to holding and wait for the market to turn green. It will, for sure.

773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My country banned bitcoin. What I can do ? on: June 05, 2018, 07:36:38 AM
I love bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I feel more comfortable doing so and will do whatever that I can to support it. Now tell me how can I work with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies? Although it is illegal in my country.

My country Bangladesh.

Apologies if this is not the right place to discuss.
Thanks in advance.

Your country banned Bitcoin but most probably it did not ban this forum because you are here. It did not also include in the ban social media platforms, or blog sites, video sites, etc. These are enough for you to continue to promote Bitcoin and even earn Bitcoin. I guess the world is getting smaller. You can work online and get paid with Bitcoins. In the services section here, there are certain hiring posts. Take a look if you have something valuable to offer them. If there is none, the bounty section might be of interest to you.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we make sure that our money we invest in Bitcoin is safe? on: June 05, 2018, 06:54:18 AM
I just want to know how those people behind bitcoin secure the money they will invest because as far as I know there are lots of hackers all over the world.

There are hackers but there are also certain measures to avoid them. Right now, the most popular feature to make sure your personal wallet are kept safe from being accessed by other people is the 2FA. You need to activate them in all your wallets. If your investment is considered really big, do not choose online wallets or soft wallets. Spend a little amount to buy a hard wallet. That is safer than online versions.
775  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph vs Abra? on: June 04, 2018, 11:59:46 AM
Coins.ph vs Abra

Anong mas prefer niyong service pang buy and sell ng bitcoin, at bakit?

Personally, Abra ako when buying and selling at coins.ph pangload ko lang; dahil mas hindi mahigpit ang Abra sa verification.

Ikaw?

Sobrang higpit. Medyo OA na ang kanilang requirements. Dati nasa PHP 400,000 na ako araw-araw, ngayon binalik nila ako sa PHP 100,000.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anticipation from the future ? on: June 02, 2018, 12:28:13 PM
:)Countries are divided into 3 groups: those who ban bitcoin, those who will regulate it strongly and those who will give complete freedom to development. The second and the third groups us well be satisfied with. This majority. It's enough to survive. Therefore, it is not necessary to look for negative outside of us. ; Smiley Smiley

Actually, the countries can be divided further. There are actually countries that are neither interested nor against the adoption of Bitcoin. They are those countries that have not even taken a more serious study on Bitcoin. There are also some other countries that might not have heard of it yet. Most of these countries are found in the African region most probably. But at the end of the day, all these countries will eventually support Bitcoin.
