How to solo mining GPU?

Use CGminer for NeoScrypt, not SGminer.

minerd is CPUminer. You get the idea.

Solo mining always works fine.

how to solo

Like any other PoW coin, but with a NeoScrypt capable miner. There are many guides out there. Set up halcyon.conf with rpcuser and rpcpassword, direct your miner to localhost:21109

the purse of the roaming folder is not created

Use the data subdirectory instead.

Please sample line to run miner

Code:
minerd --no-stratum --no-gbt -a neoscrypt -e 2 -R 10 -o http://127.0.0.1:21109 -O someuser:somepassword

I had X coins in one input (coin control features) in my wallet. After staking I have two inputs: (X+5)/2 and (X+5)/2. Can I merge them into one input back in my current wallet or set any option to have the same number of inputs before and after staking?

They split if above 200 HAL and combine if below 100 HAL. You can set your own thresholds by using -stakesplit and -stakecombine

hi,
someone could explain to a newbie like
what's meant this?
how much time for receive coin?

Your larger input of 405 ORB can generate a stake any time. Keep your wallet online.

Don't you think that 300% PoS is too big? Someone who has 1000 HAL (≈ 0.006 BTC) receives 5 HAL every day (if I'm not wrong).

It will drop to 200% in 60K blocks.

can someone sendme 1 orbitcoin so I can get mature the ones I have and start staking ?

It takes 20 at least to start staking.

Are there any plans for HAL?

Apart of small improvements, the plan is to add support for the stealth transactions.

The network works fine, but HAL needs more practical use. Spread the word, convince merchants and gambling sites to work with HAL.

What about the rich list? I would like to know how many wallets there are and what position my address is.

What for? One can put his coins under several addresses easily. You know how many coins you have, and it's a quick thing to calculate percentage of the current supply. Everything else is like dick size bragging.

hi guys , im new to orbs, have read all 14 pages , please correct me if wrong

1: 20 orbs or 50 orbs , still pos reward is 1 orb
2: wallet must remain open 24/7 to get max interest.
3; must wallet be restarted every few mins, as it not update after incoming orbs , get stuck at unconfirmed.

thanks pos coin lover
m33

Yes to 1 and 2. No need to restart it. Unconfirmed is fine for a while if you receive new blocks. If the status changes to failed, repair the wallet.

How can I solo mine orbit with sgminer?

You cannot unless they fix it.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Orbitcoin ∅RB - the most profitable Coin per POW, POS not counting, 1reward both on: February 08, 2015, 01:43:55 PM
"Everyone can mine ORB with general purpose hardware. The PoS (Proof of Stake) generation features very low energy consumption."

This one seems better.

Seem like a good coin which aim to help science. Downloading the wallet now.

welcome in our small community Smiley

Thanks for the warm welcome! Although it is not warm at all.. LoL! Downloading the data now, 74 weeks behind with 1000885 Blocks left. How long would it take?

This one is official,
but majority of forum threads for ORB are over at Cryptocointalk
 Grin

Alright noted. I added in the nodes and.. it is now 63 weeks behind with 33 active connections. Not sure how long it would take.

The whole block chain is ~500Mb in size, so it takes 5 to 7 hours to get sync'ed on a fast wired connection. It may take a day if sync'ing over a wireless network.

I also find it odd that this is one of the oldest POS coins out there, AND it has 500% interest per year with a 1 day min stake period, yet only 1.8M coins?  Huh

Vegas

What does it say about inputs? How many are min/avg/max age?

500% was earlier when the PoS difficulty was below 0.02. It's about 0.1 now. There is no fixed rate interest. 1440 ORB * 67% = 960 ORB to distribute among all staking nodes every day. This kind of inflation control is more predictable and better in general than fixed rate interest.

You break your wallet and complain about it. You have been told not to break it. Please educate yourself as there is no problem to fix.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Orbitcoin v1.5.0.0 ~ NeoScrypt ~ Green Stake on: February 05, 2015, 08:54:05 PM
What's the point of running a wallet repair immediately after making a transaction? It removes all failed/orphaned/unconfirmed transactions from the wallet. You make a valid transaction, broadcast it and destroy it locally. That's a nice way to get your wallet broken.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Orbitcoin v1.5.0.0 ~ NeoScrypt ~ Green Stake on: February 05, 2015, 01:24:45 AM
Inspecting wallet: nothing to fix

I repaired wallet but there was nothing to repair. Now amount shows up as unconfirmed, but this can't be as it was already confirmed

That's expected. If you send, say, 20 ORB using a 1000 ORB input, you transfer 1000 ORB actually. The difference gets returned to you and the entire amount is displayed unconfirmed until the transaction gets into a block. That's very much like physical currency: if you have a 100 euro banknote and need to pay someone 10 euros, you spend the whole banknote and receive 90 euros of change in the process.

Is the Cryptsy wallet version up to date now?

It is.
