7621  Other / Politics & Society / Re: There is a man who has declared war against the Los Angeles Police Department... on: February 08, 2013, 05:59:43 PM
If you were planning to send this guy a birthday card, you better do it now. This guy will be dead soon. He knows what he's doing and is not going to give up.
To bad no one in California has the right to defend themselves against a nut like him. In Cali. you must rely on the police for protection. Roll Eyes
7622  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Amazon releases Amazon Coins... reactions? on: February 08, 2013, 03:55:09 PM
We should bum rush Amazon with emails about why they use Amazon Coins, but not bitcoin.  I do buy stuff from Amazon, but if they took BTC, they would make it my primary shopping site.
7623  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are you going to cash out? on: February 07, 2013, 07:00:09 PM
Cash out? I am never going to convert my bitcoins into dollars. I will only spend them as bitcoins for goods and services.
7624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $30 again on: February 07, 2013, 06:55:59 PM
Agreed.  Ok, $20. But $30... Impossible!

Not impossible, but not unlikely.  I think we've finally seen the 2013 high.

Bwzzzzzz! Wrong again.  Grin
I was kidding by the way. The real rocket launches when we break the all time high of about $32.
7625  Local / India / Re: Traveling in India, what can I do with Bitcoins? on: February 06, 2013, 06:50:15 PM
Not to crash in on your thread, but I am interested in the same thing this fall. Especially anyone in South Eastern India. Looking for rupees, horse rentals, and wildlife trackers.
7626  Local / India / Re: How Do We Serve India, 1/5th of the Global Population, with Bitcoin? on: February 06, 2013, 05:54:43 PM
Tell people in India that they can buy gold abroad with BTC. My Indian friends tell me Indians love gold.
7627  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is your primary purpose of using bitcoin? on: February 06, 2013, 03:18:47 PM
Primary purpose: The instant, cheap transfer of money across the world. Everything else is just a bonus.
+1
7628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: REALLY BITCOIN?!?!? on: February 06, 2013, 03:17:04 PM
Are you sure about the address? If you use instawallet and enter the wrong addy, I think it will look like an empty wallet, right?
7629  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Amazon releases Amazon Coins... reactions? on: February 05, 2013, 07:05:36 PM
The fact that Amazon has done this implies two things. One is that they recognize the power of digital money. Two is that they just don't get the open source concept and why it is fundamentally different than anything they can own.
7630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would like to purchase 1 BTC on: February 05, 2013, 06:00:08 PM
He is not making an unreasonable request. It is a small amount, and I'll bet he is open to other payment options. It's the PayPal part that no one wants.
What about selling something for bitcoin? People often forget this option. Think about something you have that you would part with for a low price.
7631  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Amazon mocking us? Amazon Launches ‘Amazon Coins’ on: February 05, 2013, 05:52:31 PM
Let's complain.  Grin Tonight I will ask them when they will start taking BTC. I will mention that Amazon coins are not interesting to me, but any retailer that takes bitcoin will be preferred by me.
7632  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: A uni-student from Romania is claiming to have 107 ASIC units for sale at 85 GHs on: February 05, 2013, 05:47:07 PM
If this person really used their own funds and developed this, they would have zero incentive to not be mining with them right now. They have no customers and no obligation not to.

Haha exactly!

I had a good laugh when I saw this...usually scammers actually try to play out their scam. His was a terrible, terrible attempt. Tongue

Haha, yeah. It reminds me of the TV commercials that promise to show you how to make a a million dollars. They never explain why they are selling books instead of making millions themselves.
7633  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Amazon releases Amazon Coins... reactions? on: February 05, 2013, 03:45:33 PM
This is in no way competition. No more than American Airlines frequent flier miles. Private money is worthless to me.
7634  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: A uni-student from Romania is claiming to have 107 ASIC units for sale at 85 GHs on: February 05, 2013, 03:41:03 PM
It has everything I look for in a scam. A promise to get rich by participating in a secret plan.  Roll Eyes
7635  Other / Off-topic / Re: I just lost it on: February 05, 2013, 03:30:51 PM
I lost again this morning when I remembered this game. I also realized I had been infected.  Undecided
7636  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone Want to Team Up? on: February 05, 2013, 03:28:22 PM
Whatever you make, I'll probably want to play it. lol
7637  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone Want to Team Up? on: February 04, 2013, 09:21:27 PM
I like your idea, of course I'm a game nut, but what about a software product that integrates with existing games? Perhaps something that allows players to put up some "prize money" that is awarded to the high scoring players after each game. This may last longer than a game. Games come and go, but look at TeamSpeak and others that work with games, they remain fresh for years.
7638  Economy / Services / Re: Change BTC to Euro in Barcelona Airport (Spain) on: February 04, 2013, 09:15:47 PM
I always look for someone willing to do this when I travel. It can be way cheaper than paying exchange fees. My hope is that one day I won't need the Euros at all. Next time I go to Spain I will PM you!
7639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which crypto-currency grows the most in future?Besides BTC of course! on: February 04, 2013, 09:07:46 PM
I think mintchip has a chance. But there is no real competition at the moment.
7640  Other / Off-topic / Re: I just lost it on: February 04, 2013, 09:06:00 PM
I don't hate the player, but I'm not sure which game to hate?
