7741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk says goodbye to facebook on: April 02, 2018, 07:56:02 PM
t would be very hard to protect our data when the governments come in knocking on the door. They will use the law on their side. However, when it comes to data protection and privacy for personal interests of private companies, it would be wonderful to see new projects pop-up; but again how trustworthy can they be for the long term? I hate those targeted ads, and trust google is the worse I think, with their recent feature in emails where they give you suggested replies, indicating that their AI has read the entire content of your emails.
If these data protection and privacy companies do come out then it would really be a good option for those people who do really likes to ensure their entity but same as you said we cant still be assure if those companies wouldn't come to a point on where they would able to leak out informations this is why I don't really trust too much on inputting personal informations in the cloud.I do make use of facebook but haven't putted all the important things towards to my own entity and I'm fully aware that government do have anytime access to millions of personal information if they do like to.
7742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 02, 2018, 07:04:23 PM
Date: April 3, 2018
Game: Golden State Warriors vs. OKC Thunder
This match is going to be an interesting fight.

I hate when young people that never saw a single game of Michel Jordan on TV or something and talk like he is the GOAT.
Few youtube videos don't make an expert, keep that in mind. And enjoy watching Lebron, he will clearly pass the all-time scoring record, which is crazy.
Micheal Jordan's charisma and attitude i think separate him from Lebron James. I was lucky enough to watch Michael Jordan plays at his peak and watch the beauty of his plays.
Michael Jordan was a king among kings when the likes of Magic Johnson and Dominique Wilkens were playing up against him and the Chicago Bulls were a team going to the playoffs as Golden state are every year.
He wasn't very arrogant and always had a smile when he played.
He was a gentle giant on the court, and LeBron James is not.

Haters? lol.

You will not see the positive traits on the other side as long as you only looking on a single side. There are big differences about Michael Jordan and LeBron James nature and system during their time and for me, it's doesn't making sense to compare those. Why in the first place?

Just enjoy the game mate and appreciate greatness. Smiley
LOL what's happening here? Guys don't debate on this thing, you can't compare orange to apple. LJ and MJ aren't on the same era so you just have to appreciate their greatness and LJ will soon become a legend too.
LJ is already a legend if we do see those stats he already reached out those numbers which can really be considered to be one of the best but in my part he hasn't still achieve on the charisma on where MJ do have but I agree on what people do said above which theres no really need to argue or to compare since each one of us do really have different perceptions and likings into a certain player.Comparison is there but both players are really on different era. MJ has retired and now we are seeing LJ heading to that spot too.
7743  Economy / Securities / Re: Bit-z Hack Try on: March 31, 2018, 12:49:40 PM
If you use the same password and email ID to some other services then it is quite risky. So before you deposit money into your online account whether it is exchange or gambling site or any other site first you need to secure your account with 2fa. If you enable 2fa then hackers can't go into your account.

These days people don't want to work hard to earn money instead they want to steal money from other people easily. We should protect our online activities carefully.

You are god damn right. Steal is always easy way. That was my mistake I opened that account and did not set f2a because I had no balance. I wanted to warn people.
Hackers is everywhere and would really take the step as long they can able to make money. For people who aren't too keen on making more accounts secure are the primary victims.Setting 2fa should really be part of our behavior whenever which site we do create on as long we do have the money being stored up then we should set out the maximum security on it.I have tried out some instances on someones trying to logged in with my Hitbtc account showing off Russian IP address.

Your not the only one who's been attempted to get hack by those fucking hackers and to lucky for me to have an 2fa set up on my all accounts and this 2fa feature should be imposed by anyone since it  is a must to do by all of us and setting up an hard password with different phrase on every site account is a must  so that your important account will not hit once by the hackers if they attempt to log on it.
We would really make question on our minds on how those hackers or people can able to logged in accounts yet we have already set the most secure way.Just like on what I'm doing I do make different passwords on all accounts and even with my own email being used. This will even make harder for people to bypass as long we do know how to do our assignments.Important thing is that we do all necessary things.
7744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: March 30, 2018, 07:16:30 PM
Damn. Joel Embiid got injuried during the New York Knicks game when he ran into his own team mate Markelle Fultz.
He won't be available to play during the beginning of the playoffs due to a broken face (reported as that being the injury Lips sealed ).
Hard luck for 76er's fans as that was their best player to advance on into next round.
https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2018/3/30/17179358/joel-embiid-injury-sixers-gmib
This was really unexpected and imagine hitting up the floor with your face and same as you said this would really be a hard luck for 76ers fans since Embiid is their best player. He wont really be able to play at start on playoffs but well this kind of injury is much better compared if you would able to break your ankle or any other mobility aspects. Thanks for the link towards this news.
7745  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: March 29, 2018, 07:33:59 PM
KYC procedures is without a doubt will be the future of cryptocurrencies and a part of it makes me afraid of it because it violates the main concept of bitcoin but on the other hand just to make things right and being crypto becomes friendly with the government is to follow these rules and regulation set upon them.

Basically this is for our own protection, and hopefully they will use our information in right things. The only concern is who is the regulatory body to protect our details, and still many people are afraid of this thing specially if ICO's ask for this thing. Its good for the exchanges to have KYC but in ICO I think its too risky.

Most of the companies are asking KYC because they know the value of their token and for audit purpose, they will ask for KYC. KYC is always good for the companies because they can easily track the records for regulatory issues. I think it won't harm us and they will protect our details.
You can say that you trust those companies but are you 100% sure that they won't use your information or someone could hack your information in their companies and use it for  illegal purposes, we won't know what will happen, it could be a protection for us but it can also harm and get our information for illegal purposes. There are ico's and bounties that after the bounty campaign has ended they will said they need KYC before they will distribute tokens, i think it's not good if for people who do work's on bounties and they don't want there info to give.
For bounty matters i dont see a reason why a project would require such KYC or documentation into its participants. They arent investors and we know all that thing. There would be always a risk involved when we sent out our identity into others we cant really be sure after on such ICO funding they wont able to use up those informations that they have collected. It might be stored but chances of on getting used in other terms will be there.
7746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH back to the price ~ $ 300 on: March 29, 2018, 06:39:19 PM
ETH is falling very strong compared to its $ 12xx early this year, will you buy it now?
Now, according to CoinMarketCap, the price of ethereum has fallen to 410 dollars. Therefore, it is possible that the price of this coin may soon fall to $ 300. This is of no significant importance. Vseravno, as soon as the crypto-currency market starts to rise, the ethereum course will also grow along with it. This coin is very promising and in demand, so in its further growth I am absolutely sure.
Almost coins in the market is heading downward which it isnt really surprising if eth would go back into $300+ price. We should not be surprised on since we have seen on how this market decline and then recovers up on a matter of time. The thing here is that we wont even know on when is the day of such recovery. As an investor and believer of ETH then its wise to buy always on possible dips then go shorting while the market is still on consolidation mode.
7747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why people are sharing tips? on: March 29, 2018, 06:11:44 PM
They sharing tips because they can easily get donations from people who have win money by using their tip. Donations are somehow important to them because they can not earn much from gambling. In contrast, people just want to do what they want and some of them do really want to help other to earn money in the easiest way.
Donations? And what if someone lose? I have never heared if someone donated someone because he/she won from his/her tips.
Once I was doinf that too but I was writing reviews of matches and logical reasons of why would this team won or lose or would have more corners and etc. This is somehow fun and exciting to share your tips and get responses, you think like people look and appreciate your shared information.
There are scenarios or situations cant really be avoided since there are really some follower who do really see or do care on giving some amounts not just act as a donation but rather an appreciation on the tips that they do know and make some bets. For Loss then its expected that there would be negative impressions and its normal.
7748  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which online wallet for bitcoin is safer? on: March 28, 2018, 07:26:27 PM
All online wallets are so-called hot wallets, and unfortunately, they’re not the safest of all.

Why?

For one, they’re centralized. It doesn’t really make sense for crypto-enthusiasts to promote the hype of decentralization and then storing large amounts of digital cash on a centralized online wallet.

Secondly, like any other website, they’re prone to be hacked. If money is involved, that’s usually good enough reason to try to compromise the security. And if funds can be transferred out to an anonymous address without the possibility or reversing the transaction, that’s even more of a reason to hack.

Solution

There’s not much you can do. Every one has to use a hot wallet every now and then. However, they’re not meant to store large amounts of coins for extended period of time.

#1 - most secure method

It depends on an individual, but I like to think that the most secure way of storing your large amounts of coins is a paper wallet.

You can make a few copies of it, laminate it so the paper doesn’t deteriorate over time, and lock it in a safe, bank or dedicated security deposit box.

However, the best option is to combine both the method #1 and #2.

This way you have access to your coins on a short notice (if you decide to lock away your paper wallets a few miles away from you in a deposit box) because you are in possession of your hardware wallet.

And if you lose it, then you can always revert back to your backup paper wallets.

#2 - even better method

There are certain hardware wallets that are way more secure than the above two methods. For example, a Ledger Hardware Wallet will store your coins securely, because it’s not connected to the internet, therefore, it can’t be hacked.

The downside to hardware wallets is that you can misplace it and then ultimately lose it. Once lost, given the fact that you haven’t written down your private keys somewhere say, you have no access to your coins.

The upside is that these hardware wallets are nearly indestructible, so you not need to worry about breaking them.

#3 - a bit more secure method

Desktop wallets are considered to be more secure than hot wallets. The key word here is considered. That’s because it depends on your level of understanding how secure you can make your computer to be.

If you make it really difficult for a hacker or malicious malware to penetrate your computer, then sure - on paper it is more secure.

In reality, the vast majority of people think that one antivirus software and a system firewall are enough to prevent any security breaches.

It’s probably best to get extra education on security before one decides to store a lot of coins on one’s desktop.

#4 - least secure method

You can engage a 2-step verification process for most hot wallets and use Google Authenticator or Authy to generate access codes. Whilst this isn’t a solution, it puts another layer of security and makes it tougher to breach.

Although, sometimes hackers aren’t the problem. What if the hot wallet company goes bust or they lock you out of your account preventing you from accessing your funds?

Hot wallets are the least secure methods of storing your coins.

Summary

As you can see, it all depends on you and the amounts of coins you plan on storing. It might sound scary, but this is the reality. It’s best to be safe and take that extra step than to be sorry.

Good luck!

Here every people in this forum already knows that bitcoin can be saved in what are all the wallet. I do not know the push this thread up unwantedly. You know there are few people like this keep on doing when explaining this do not bump the thread.

I hope post mine will stop the no more unwanted posts on this thread dude. If possible. op please lock this thread or delete dude.
You cant really stop people on bumping out this thread as long its not being locked nor being deleted replies would really come and repeating the same answers all over again. There are already lots of similar threads towards this question about safe wallet for bitcoin. There are lots of options either for long term holds or shorter/active ones.
7749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you need to pay first before you can claim your rewards on bounty campaign? on: March 28, 2018, 06:59:25 PM
I have a recent bounty campaign and they are saying that i need to pay them 0.004 btc before i can earn my bounty rewards. This is the first time i heard of it. I already reported it to the moderator but based on their reply they cannot do anything because i will fall under biased decisions
Moderator on where?

I would tell you this if someone do ask you money just to claim your bounty then its a complete scam. As a bounty hunter for how many campaigns theres no such thing that someone would ask you money for you to claim your tokens since you deserve such rewards for promoting them.I would like to ask which bounty program you are talking on? So that people would be aware regarding to this one.Just remember, not to send any amounts to that someone.
7750  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it legal for businesses to use crypto transfers instead of international wire on: March 28, 2018, 06:20:25 PM

Is it legal yet to replace intl. wire transfers with crypto transfers as part of business and how would you record that in the books?
If certain country do have such prohibitions or any regulation into any crypto related transactions then using it up as a part of business would really requires approval but in a country which doesnt any have contradictions with cryptocurrency transactions then using this thing would be possible. Recording in the books? Theres no need since you can eventually see transactions that had been made but though having description of each one of them wont be possible.
7751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse racing game on: March 28, 2018, 05:54:26 PM
Gambling in horse races are still popular in my country. Bets are not online though and are sold inside arenas. Online betting is still prohibited in my country.
Horse races are popular everywhere in the world and where there is horse racing there will be gambling. According to my analysis in my country it is the hobby of elite class. Only they can afford this expensive game, also they bet very high amounts on these races. The bets here are in millions which I can't even think about to participate in.
These races are live broadcast on the television and the winners are paid high prizes. Gambling here is illegal so they deal it under the table. Honestly I have no idea about any online betting on them in my country.
When you do talk about physical or actual horse racing then expect only elite class would really be here to make bets and on the thing you said which it does really involve bets talking about on millions already.I dont know why this type of gambling is very entertaining for them and making such ridiculous amounts on making a bet but well its their own money as long they do enjoy then it doesnt matter. For online horse racing we can really bet among with other people it might be on small amounts but i dont consider for this thing to be illegal.
7752  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin fair for those who buy for the first time now? on: March 28, 2018, 05:32:41 PM
As an economist, I worry about a lot of issues related to economies in this world.
Bitcoin is surely a revolution, but I worry that it is highly unfair for the older generations and the people who join Bitcoin in later periods.

Most people in the world do not hold Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. If they started buying it, prices would soar and there would be a huge purchasing power transfer from those who got later in to those who got in earlier. For these people, staying in Fiat currency will be the best option.

Also, there is the issue of scalability and of the timeframe of existance of Bitcoin.
Isn't it better to jump try an ICO? And following this reasoning why invest in an ICO now when something better may come later?

I think many of the discussions about cryptocurrencies leave out those of our society who have less access to information and new technologies.

What do you think?
Thank you.
Nothing is ever fair and bitcoin is not an exception to this, what you are saying is just true for any technology out there, those that invested earlier get the most profits so I cannot see why this is right in everything else but somehow it's wrong when it comes to bitcoin, anyone is free to join bitcoin and buy it right now if they don't do it that is their choice and they will have to face consequences of those choices, then you state that for those that come late it will be better to keep their fiat but if bitcoin really becomes as successful as some people think they will have no option, this is similar to what happened to those that used Windows XP they resisted for years to not upgrade but eventually they will have to do it.
This is just really a matter on how a certain person would able to risk.If they can afford to lose up some amounts then he would probably risk his money since he do believe on such thing.Talking about investing on bitcoin nowadays would really be always on our choice since its our money after all.For those who bought on earlier days then i would say they do really deserve on the money that they do earn. They believe on bitcoins tech and now they do see the profits from their own pockets.
7753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: March 27, 2018, 10:01:27 PM
Read this several minutes ago. We must be vigilant on what we are investing and must do some research or study first if the project that we wanted to join is legit or not. So sad that there are some ICOs who are just making money for their own sake. Because of this issues, people becomes scared of cryptocurrencies and thinks that other cryptos that are legit are scams too.

http://www.livebitcoinnews.com/denaro-ico-raises-8-7m-and-goes-up-in-smoke/
This is true, there are so much great ICOs which could have eventually become popular and money-making, but didn't even manage to cover a soft cap. I think the only way for ICO's team to prove that they are not scams is investing a lot of money in their own project and show that they'll not spend those money, that may increase people's confidence in reliability of a project.
Investors nowadays i do say is already smart compared in the past. There might be some being scammed by some projects but not totally rampant as way before.Team transparency should be always to look out because you can really make presumptions that the project they would handle would really progress. Its up to you if you would risk out your money or investment with them.Trust is also a factor together with some doubt or intuition.
7754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Starting a Gambling Game on: March 27, 2018, 09:31:55 PM
Guys, if someone is looking for a good online casino, I can recommend one. By the way, I think gambling is one of the easiest ways to make money online. I find it interesting and profitable. Don't forget to check these new slot machines
But anyway not everyone says that gambling is the one of the easiest ways to make money by online, and sometimes some of them thoughts., that the casino site is more likely to cheat than a site that only provides one game, like a dice.
Saying that gambling is the easiest way to make huge amounts of money in very short time period of life would be nothing else than a big blunder from ones side because in gambling, the money remains with the person for a very short time period and after that time period is completed, that money returns to those pockets from which it was taken out. Making money from gambling seems to be easy but actually, it’s not.
Agree, making money thru gambling is very easy but most people do always fail on having a thought that those amount would be losen back to the place on where it was taken (gambling site/house/other gambler). If you are not wary enough with your actions then most likely this thing would really happen into you.Mentioning into those kind of bettting being mentioned on op,its still considered as gambling since you are already betting for something.
7755  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do you launch a successful coin Ico or fair launch on: March 27, 2018, 09:06:23 PM
I have the groundwork planned for a coin but want to do A captcha faucet but that takes alot of time and how would I get the funds to be listed on an exchange

Ico would fix the problem and make it faster but I feel really scummy taking money from people

Exchange listing happens after the ICO (as far as I know) so assuming that the ICO has ended successfully, you can just get the fees from that.
But in order for people to trust their money to you (for your ICO to reach its targeted cap), you must first be "trustable" in their eyes and for that you need a lot of money upfront since you have to hire devs, lawyer(s), designers, managers etc.. and the other fees like marketing fees etc...

I'm not sure of the names but there are exchanges out there that mainly relies on the users votes so you could try running a small campaign and give users a small incentive in exchange for their votes.
Taking small steps and gradually increase to higher ones would be always a smart move. Not just rushing out yourself into big exchanges even you havent any idea on what you are doing.Funds or fees would really be there which is normal specially on big and reputable exchanges. If we do read up on op, he doesnt like to take money from people which this is a primary thing for you to be done to get on what you are targeting to.You would need ICO for you ti proceed.
7756  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin being deemed an Illegal tender- What's the potential aftermath and uses? on: March 27, 2018, 08:42:14 PM
Definition of Legal Tender - Legal tender can be used to satisfy debts. For example,  if I am bound by contract to pay a certain person a given amount, I can do so using fiat notes ("Legal tender") issued by the government.

If a certain commodity / currency is not deemed to be legal tender, it does not preclude two private parties from entering into an agreement to exchange the commodity / currency for goods or services. This would be considered as a barter agreement by the government, rather than a 'sale'. Of course, this assumes that the government has not specifically banned barter transactions.

If a country bans the use of cryptocurrencies in transactions, but does not make holding them illegal, I don't think the price of cryptocurrencies will fall. This is because technically value could be realized by sending those cryptocurrencies outside the country. If holding them is illegal, then of course the only value which can be realized is in the grey market, and the price will naturally plummet.
Very well said specially on the bolded part on where as long the government doesnt impose such restrictions or laws about cryptocurrency holding or transactions then falling of the price wont really be suited or cant really be presumed. We do know on how accessible on crypto would be in terms of transactions, even it would be prohibited but stopping it would be really impossible.
7757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you save money while playing gambling games? on: March 27, 2018, 08:20:15 PM
Even how many best tips you'll gather here, the result varies on your reaction. You only need discipline if you want to save money while gambling but there's a distraction and your main goal of saving money is hard. You need to sacrifice any of them, if you want to gamble, you can't save properly or if you want to save then you have to sacrifice gambling.

It's either OP save or gamble right?

Honestly, if you want to save, you should not gamble, gambling would just pull your savings especially if you are an addicted gambler and you just came up to an idea to save.

Or, you can gamble, but your savings should be away from your "easy access" drawer or wallet.
Its better for him while he gamble save money. He can still save money even he gambles what he only need is to discipline himself and put time while in saving. I like the idea of putting yourself away from easy access wallet or storage. Just put your money in the bank if you have it already before you gamble.
Getting a savings while you are playing gambling? Then it wont really be an easy thing because temptations on using up those money again would be there since you are in a middle of a game.Higher chances that you will use those money specially when you are already losing and you will surely think on recovering those loses by using the amounts you have won recently.
7758  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you guys think of ice rock mining on: March 27, 2018, 07:53:47 PM
Legit or not, I don't think cloud mining can be profitable. Though looking at ice rock mining's site, it's pretty sketchy in my opinion. Based on their site, for $1000 your monthly income would be:

Sure looks good in paper, but too good to be true in my opinion. I'd personally stay away from those kinds of sites, especially those ones with a promised amount of income.
On just seeing with those numbers then its really too good to be true for a 1k usd investment. This is just the same on those usual cloud mining and theres no way that they can offer such thing in a short period of time considering on the mining difficulty which is growing day by day and mining sooner or later would really decreased down potential profits. Its quiet sketchy that they do guaranty amounts which i would advise to on joining up with your own discretion.
7759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading analysis, is it real or speculation. on: March 26, 2018, 09:55:28 PM
In forex fundamental and technical analysis can be very helpful in taking decisions.
In crypto, the market is so un predictable that usual instruments don't work so well.
But it's better that taking decision by gut!
No need to bumped out an almost 3 mos. non updated thread but well its still much better compared on making a new topic which do have the same title with this one. Trading analysis which composed by technical and fundamental would be always a good tandem in my own perspective.Ive been using this since into this very volatile market and unlike forex, cryptocurrency market is very very unpredictable but having these tools would give you somehow some basis regarding into your entry points. It might work or not work which you do really need to make decision by some gut.
7760  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New restricted financial products policy on: March 26, 2018, 09:17:34 PM
It has its good sides. Preventing people from being scammed is one of them. Google is a strong engine for advertising and it will take effect on crypto promotion. But I hope that legit projects can get their space because otherwise, it wouldn't be fair.
No one has ever been able to protect people from scams. They exist so many years as there are people. Prohibition of advertising Google does not help to solve the problem. It seems to me that all Internet giants were bribed by oligarchs from the stock market. I don't believe these monsters voluntarily gave up a lot of money. For me, this is a signal that cryptocurrencies are on the right track.
Same perceptions and beliefs on where I do believe theres always a reason behind with these kind of decisions towards banning/restricting ads came from ICO and other crypto-related things. You are actually right on where there were no one would able to protect people from scams and such prohibition being made by Google doesn't only being considered on their own but there always an influence from big people/institution.
