7781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market will recover? on: May 17, 2018, 04:22:07 PM
Statistics has shown that there's always a bull run during and after Consensus Conference. Mind you, the number of participants in the conference has been increasing in thousands, with this year's attendance surpassing the previous year by over 4000. I'm not just happy that whales and institutional investors won't allow cryptocurrency to grow organically. There are too much speculations and manipulations in the market.
Everyone hoped for a crypto conference in New York that it would push(this has happened more than once) the rate of bitcoin and altcoins. This time it didn't happen. Why? Even the good news that the police did not find anything illegal on the Upbit exchange does not affect the course. This is odd...

No it is not odd at all.

So, have you guys learned your lessons yet? There are statistics and there are proof. Statistics do not prove the future they only prove the past. Just like the famous January month of crypto, statistics showed it was always a month for pumping. Then finally this year it was the month for flopping. Bitcoin cannot be predicted, along with the rest of the crypto world. So let us stop trying to outsmart Bitcoin and just take it easy.
7782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AmaziX bounty programs is live! on: May 17, 2018, 03:03:50 PM
A lot of people do not trust the Amazix team, they were noticed in a different kind of fraud. I even saw a person who wears a signature: "Amazix SCAM!"

I think you will find that on every bounty manager or program, there will always be accusations of scam. Just look at this forum and you can see for yourself. In my experience, though, 99% of bounty hunters who say scam were just bitter about decisions made regarding their stakes. Bounty hunters seem to say they work so hard and when they do not get what they feel they should, they easily shout scam. Even this forum staff are called scammers almost daily. But judge for yourself who is the one complaining and all their red trust and you know these are shady guys themselves.
7783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad on: May 17, 2018, 08:02:07 AM
If any of us were Bill,  we would have said the same thing.  If you are one of the few beneficiary of defective and secretive system that benefit only the few and leave the rest of the population high and dry,  you would think twice before you  attack anything that can put you out of business!

Not really, I think if I was Bill, I would be too busy making more money and investing on Bitcoin than giving interviews. Then again, maybe you are right, I would also want to say such things like the way Jamie Dimon did last year. To short Bitcoin, let is go down and buy more of it when it is cheap. Guys like this do not care about the world, they pretend to donate billions after stealing trillions. They know their time is almost over so are doing whatever they can to hold on to what is left.
7784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which country is heaven for crypto traders and Exchangers? on: May 17, 2018, 07:03:50 AM
Does not really matter to the average user, I feel. Even in Iran where Bitcoin was completely banned, people still trade easily and without issues over p2p like localbitcoins. People have a shortage of USD and EUR there but they can still send money abroad via Bitcoin. Heaven or hell, a country cannot stop Bitcoin. This is the beauty of decentralization, which is why we must do our best to preserve and protect it in crypto.
7785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Alts are being held back by BTC on: May 16, 2018, 03:49:21 PM
Etheruem is starting to have a mind of its own!
BTC is struggling!
Saying that BTC STILL has the potential to take this market to hell!
If HELL comes ( BTC sub 7K or worse) the market will rise without BTC dictating the tune.
Opinion only BUT a possibility!

Everything is a possibility, my friend. But your opinion is not unique and is not new. Refer to ETH Flippening for example, to see many others who voiced this opinion. But the facts speak strongly. When Bitcoin reached its ATH, so did the majority of Altcoins. When Bitcoin crashed, so did the majority of alts. And to make it worse, alts crashed even worse than BTC.

Look at markets and it is simple. You want to trade 99% of alts, it has to be in Bitcoin.
7786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best ICO of May on: May 16, 2018, 02:45:43 PM
You know, I've been involved in cryptography for a long time.  You have already lost so much money in search of good investment.  I was stupid, I did not read the thoughts of different people, went through the method of attempts and defeats.  But this gave my experience, but I found something very good.  Do not think I'm foolish to advertise something.  I chose Paytomat Although their design is now more relevant than ever.  I saw someone write something about her and decided to confirm someone's opinion

No. You have been involved in cryptocurrency. I know it is a difference a lot of people do not care about, but if you have been involved for so long then at least you could respect that cryptography is a separate field, related to cryptocurrency but of which very few people in "crypto" is actually part of.

But okay, that aside, I am glad you see the follies of all of us to think crypto has the answer to our life's problems. And no ICO will ever be the answer. Bitcoin is where the true hope of crypto is in.
7787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HSBC: First commercial transaction concluded via Blockchain on: May 16, 2018, 12:56:32 PM
I will admit I have no real understanding of this letter of credit but we have seen banks move well past the issue of cryptocurrency and taking blockchain seriously. I think it has actually moved much faster than we all thought given the initial furor of banks over blockchain and crypto.

So maybe with things like Ripple coming aboard and all these platforms like Corda coming, maybe the global banking world will all be on blockchain with their own private systems.

Death of decentralization for blockchains? Or just a big divide between public and private?
7788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BTC dominate in 2018 or Etherium will take he lead? on: May 16, 2018, 11:46:02 AM
I am firmly in the Bitcoin camp. It is the very reason I chose to "join crypto" and even after being impressed with alt projects and holding a few coins with an idea of many years, I can never forget the awe and admiration I felt when learning first about Bitcoin. That can never be surpassed any more. So yes, it is the leader and benchmark, deservedly so, and will continue,,, I believe, to be the standard for many years to come. But nothing stays a leader forever. See Facebook, See Yahoo, See Microsoft. It does not mean they are no longer good, it just means other people can innovate. But Bitcoin will not lose the status it has earned.
7789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: May 16, 2018, 09:16:14 AM
#Binance Will List #TrueUSD ( $TUSD ) on 2018/05/18

https://twitter.com/binance/status/996655533808435200

Interesting, what will happen with USDT?

Interesting yes, but not a significant news for anyone really. Tether was the first major "stable" crypto to be introduced and it hit many major exchanges. True Dollar tries to be a more "honest" crypto, but what is the honesty in creating yet another token tied to the US dollar, a crypto that can just as easily be manipulated and gives its creators free money?

All these fiat-tied cryptos are legal scams. Binance does not care either. Whatever makes money goes.
7790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Vs BTC Trading Oppportunity on: May 16, 2018, 08:46:12 AM
Strange to see Dogecoin still being called out for trades but I always think Doge is good value below 50 satoshis, bearing in mind that we have always seen Dogecoin break 100 satoshi cycles every now and then. This is one of the oldest alts and most favored by long-term miners so yes, I agree but only if you want to hold it long term and keep buying up below 50 satoshi or even 60 satoshi, to turn big profits when it breaks 100 (I believe next to happen is at least January 2019.
7791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why has ZEC increased +40% yesterday? on: May 15, 2018, 06:23:02 PM
I actually mentioned in just another ZEC thread that I think it was because of the reason announcement by Bitmain on the new mining rig, and then followed by the Foundation owner's own announcement that he would try to prevent ASICs from taking over,,, even if he said that this was probably pointless. I know the jump happened today after the Gemini listing, but I think both combined moves took it up to 40%.

but yes,,, of course a normal spike with no explanation is also possible. This is crypto after all.
7792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ZEC hit 500$ in 1 month? on: May 15, 2018, 03:46:40 PM
OK so Zcash shot up more than 40%. I guess the community reacted really well to the announcement from the Foundation, even though the same thing has happened to other coins but this net effect did not take place. I do not hold any so I feel a slight regret, but then I already have my strong beliefs in Monero for example. Let us see if this coin can hold on to the gains. Especially when Bitcoin starts shooting back up.
7793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price recovering slowly on: May 15, 2018, 10:37:18 AM
it's not that hard to know that. because he needs to see the $ 1,400 price again. this is how the technical analysis shows. you look at ETH-based projects on the market. if $ 1,000 is your target. You'il be there in a 1-2 months.

you don't have to wait for the end of the year. I think you should start setting a new target.

This is every alt's "need", to see its old ATH. But let us face it, not every alt is going to reach their old ATH any longer. I can say this even about one of my favorites which is Dogecoin. Unless Bitcoin falls back down to very low levels, I will never expect to see Dogecoin reach above 120 satoshis again. And the fact is, only coins like Litecoin and ETH stand a chance, along with the older ones like Monero. All those tokens that hit ATH in January or December may never see life again at that same stage in BTC.
7794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Winner of this year, ETH or BTC? on: May 14, 2018, 02:50:50 PM
Is it not still too early to call the shots? This is not even half way past the line in the year, so early winners are not guaranteed to be late winners. Besides, what is it with price declaring wins and losses? If a coin achieves more development like Bitcoin has and pushed past challenges like scaling and regulation, we should take it also into consideration. Ethereum is also in the middle of Casper regeneration, maybe that will make it more successful. In the end, winner or loser, can we afford to dismiss either?
7795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opportunity to sell for bitcoin on: May 14, 2018, 10:23:26 AM
I dont see any reason why not to sell things things such as cars, pcs or houses for bitcoin because i could just convert it to USD right away if i please.  I think selling cars and houses or any high valued item for crypto would be good because it opens up an avenue for new customers which could help you get rid of that item more quickly.

Yes, to be honest, I always wonder why people specifically want to use Bitcoin only to buy things. Of course, I would do the same if I could and the price in Bitcoin is usually cheaper for these merchants or sellers since everybody gains from the zero fees and commissions that banks would have taken. Also it is good for the Bitcoin economy to always use it for the purpose meant. But at the same time, if I see something I like and want to buy it, I buy it. If the seller does not accept Bitcoin, I convince them to. If not, I sell Bitcoins for cash, and get the purchase done. Small hassle to me, really.
7796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts crash again ? on: May 14, 2018, 08:29:46 AM
Alt season could extend into as late as August this time around...

Enjoy the window we now have, it could last up to 5-7 days before another probable drop for BTC to around $7500-7600 before the next bounce.  Im expecting BTC to bottom around june 18-24 and at 5k or below (3k probably the most extreme scenario for mine). Id like to think alt season will resume after this point and not have concluded just prior to the last big drop. Fingers crossed

Dont let anyone fool you, there is no new money coming in and realistically no one should expect a mega bull run to start until mid next year. The recent mini bull run was most likely a last opportunity for whales to dump onto everyone. Interest across the board has dropped off significantly. Many of those casual investors who were lured into crypto late last year have left, many with considerable losses. The wall st crowd will also want to drive the price down to as low as possible to load their bags in preperation for the next bull run. Be prepared for more orchestrated FUD and orchestrated black swan events, dont be one of the sheep that buys into the fud narrative. This doesnt mean you should hold, just be smart how you trade, buy BTC and A-grade Alts when everyone thinks Crypto is over. (5k or below)

Sounds like good news to me. I for one am more happy to see yet another dip. I really want to make all my holdings grow even bigger before Bitcoin starts making serious moved for 10k again. As long as it keeps dipping, guys like me keep on buying. I am guessing like you that it could drop below 8k again. Then maybe the FUD guys will start talking again and maybe Bitcoin drops even further. But that is okay. Whales kept on dumping and mini bulls keep on rising in strength. Then when the mega bull wakes up,,,
7797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 13, 2018, 06:24:01 PM
https://weeklyglobalresearch.wordpress.com/2018/05/12/darknet-markets-and-the-shadow-economy/

Really good article written about darkmarkets and shadow economy in last 5 years.   In this thread there was lots speculations in past two years of how much volume and how much listings darkmarkets have. This guy some who got answers.    Yes speculation here went also in how big share Monero have. There is no infor about that in the article, except confirmation that more and more every day pass.

Thank you for sharing this. Previously, we all knew about the statistics recorded from 2016 especially by the known market/crypto analytics firms, but I think it will be difficult to truly estimate, especially when dark markets learn their lessons after the falls of silk road and alphabay. Monero will also be harder and harder to track, which is what it is all about anyway, but let us not forget not all dark market activity is bad even if it is illegal. I do not condone most activities there for sure but services like anonymous emails and vpns should always be protected.
7798  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto market demand is increasing on: May 13, 2018, 04:59:34 PM
I also noticed that the demand of the cryptocurrency are increasing and that is because the prices are now green into the market and when that goes green it means that there are a lot more people who are buying rather than selling because bitcoins volatility and all the cryptocurrency depends on the demands of  them. And that is a great investment for us because whenever the value is rising it is great to buy because your money will also rise and then sell.it when it becomes.stable because they might fall the next time because other people.sells too.

Demand can also increase when market is in red, too, actually. In fact, if I look at my own history of buying (which signals demand, correct?) then I realize,,, I only buy when market is in red. I am sure plenty of other people also only buy when they see dips,,, so this is an example of demand increasing when market is down/red as you say.

If you have no sellers by the way, how can you have buyers? Red and green has not much correlation in my opinion.
7799  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cryptocurrency market to suffer from strong correction on: May 13, 2018, 03:23:22 PM
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will collapse by 90% within the next 12 months, analysts predict, but those coins that survive this correction are expected to grow tremendously.

On 7 May, US financial regulators, the US Commission on Futures Trading (CFTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will hold a meeting at which they will discuss, whether Ethereum tokens should be classified as securities.

Source: http://www.coinfox.info/news/9391-forecast-cryptocurrency-market-to-suffer-from-strong-correction
After the last December such a blue and long correction, with which the crypto currency has not completely come to an end, a new drop in the market by 90 percent is very unlikely, one can even say that it is impossible. Moreover, there are no grounds for this. Here, too, there is no reference to the analysts' opinion about such a new fall of the crypto currency, so this news should be considered as fictional. Probably, people have nothing to write about, and they spread various sensational inventions.

Actually,,, I somehow missed reading the whole content the first time I read this article and was only focused on the supposed SEC meeting about Ethereum as a security. I do not think any analyst can say what will happen, especially in such a short timeframe of 12 months,,, but I would agree quite wholeheartedly that even if 90% of cryptos collapse to 90% or worse, I would be happy. Because I still have most of my holdings in Bitcoin, and I have faith in the few alts I truly hold. So, this is all good news to me.
7800  Economy / Marketplace / Re: to get the bitcoin should issue a capital? on: May 13, 2018, 02:58:50 PM
if the intent of your question is "does it require capital to be able to get bitcoin?". the answer is no. but you have to spend money to connect to the internet, because if there is no internet connection, we will not be able to get bitcoin.
You can get a bitcoin without capital by following a signature and a bounty campaign, however, beforehand, you have to perform a given task, to get the bitcoin and wait for the token to be distributed.

People forget that capital and resources is not all about direct money. And so, we have a breed of people who think they are getting free things in life by going to farm faucets or participating in bounty campaigns or signing up for free airdrops. But like you said, you spend money and time to do all these things. And time is so precious to spend to get a few free cents from faucets and airdrops. Spend the time well and earn money and experience and skills,,, this will pay off in big time.
