8621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 [ANN][AIRDROP] Genesis Coin UPDATE | Fast. Secure. Flexible | FREE Airdrop 🌟 on: October 30, 2017, 07:14:10 AM
I am the developer of Genesis and will be able to answer any questions along with llyfee regarding the airdrop, Genesis etc Smiley

We moved to this new thread to allow us to include the signature bounties as well as add in some images and more information.

The old thread can be found here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2291834.0, incase anyone wanted to see any previous posts.

Greetings, and good luck to your new venture. Could you tell us a bit more about the Genesis project that you hint at in the first post? I generally just ignore all of these airdrops, save the odd one here and there, but perhaps it was the name or the way the post was written, that made me wonder.

We can sidestep the "main advantages" of the coin (faster than Bitcoin etc.) simply because these are not unique features. Just one question:

1. What's Genesis going to be about? If it's interesting, tell us so more people will participate in the airdrop!
8622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red Pulse Token on: October 29, 2017, 04:01:47 PM
How do you know they are not making a major effort to get listed in other exchanges? I think they will follow. By the way I think HitBTC is garbage.

Well, I think they have gone awfully quiet after the ICO. Up to the ICO communication was steady and good, and now the only email I have received was the upcoming kucoin listing. Would be nice to keep investors more "in the loop", dont you think?

This just strengthens the case for caution when dealing with hype ICOs. We have now seen super hype ICOs able to raise so much money and generate so much interest. They seem to skyrocket in price, or just go so quiet right after the ICO ends. I have been in one already, will not say the name in case their super sensitive devs see it and think I am ungrateful, but this was what made me stay away from Red Pulse.

To me, it is so strange. They always claim how busy the ICO has made them, but they should not just suddenly go off and claim they are busy. They should have a marketing person to keep people updated.
8623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🌟🌟 Datum - Unlock the Bln $$ Data Economy - ICO 29th October - 🌟🌟 on: October 29, 2017, 02:55:23 PM
The counter has appeared,  12,458.474 ETH have already been raised, the fees are going at a good pace!

Sweetness! I think I am going to add this to my slow-growing lists of post-ICO tokens to buy in early 2018. Still have serious doubts about Datum after that news about legal issues, but you cannot deny collecting almost $3 million dollars in two hours must mean people have a lot of faith. Whoever said that the age of ICOs is over, yeah?

Anyone know if the receiving ETH address is a single one or multiple? I would like to see how many individual participants took it up to 12.5k ETH so quickly. I stopped joining all those channels due to spam so am sticking to forums for updates.
8624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ////!!!\\\\ Vib token! Viberate project! 100% over ico price! on: October 29, 2017, 01:18:08 PM
This is one of those projects that exceeded my expectations. To be honest, I was quite open in thinking that this would fail, because I thought that competitors were better. Then again, price and market value sometimes have almost nothing to do with the project's tech and developments. Only need to look at Waves for a perfect example of this. Be careful with tokens that pump so quickly like Viberate. Realize a bit of your profit, and hold the rest. Do not get too greedy!
8625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Boosteroid a new SONM / ELASTIC copetitor on: October 29, 2017, 12:37:47 PM
Why should i pick a new face instead of  the old guys with almost finished products ?

Exactly! A new face which can only come up with a name that sounds like it came from an 80s arcade game, at that. At OP, you probably need to surf only the first few pages of SONM and Elastic to understand that Boosteroid needs to really up its idea if it wants to consider itself a competitor.

I have a bit of both. A lot more thana bit of XEL though, but that is a story I do not want to keep reminding myself about!

They've missed the boat already. Better off just investing in SONM and waiting for their finished product. Unless boosteroid will have a team of 100 developers they will be too late to the market.

I doubt you can even find 3 developers with the skills necessary, and if you could find 10, they would be heading towards SONM and XEL.
8626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] SIRIN LABS ICO - Secure Blockchain Consumer Electronics on: October 29, 2017, 09:32:42 AM
Widely you guys swung. Creating special smartphones. Is this a special device or add-on over android? And how will this work in practice? How much will it cost? How will you persuade people to buy this gadget? What dividends will a device owner receive to compensate for their device costs?

The FINNEY is a special device branded by Sirin Labs, it will run Shield OS, our extension to Android and will be certified by Google, same as we did with Solarin. the estimated cost of the smartphone is 999$.
you will be able to pre-order it with SRN tokens after the crowdsale.
we have several motivations for the device and token economy -
first, the token will be used to buys the device, so if the token price goes up you actually buy the device with less token that you may have bought in less than 999$.
second, there is a pre-order discount.
third, we plan to reward the community with a constant daily amount of money to buyers of new devices, every new device will get some amount of SRN token on the first activation of the device cold wallet.
And the most important: we are pushing towards an open developer community where developers and device vendors adopt our OS and SDK and create more devices and apps that runs Shield OS and use the SRN token. these apps can implement P2P micropayments, resource sharing, and more.
in addition, we will have few of the best d-apps in the market like status and stox adopt our SDK and come preloaded on FINNEY. these apps will enjoy one of the most important features of the SDK  - seamless token conversion between other tokens to there own token.
here is Stox announcement about our cooperation: https://medium.com/@stoxhq/stox-and-sirin-labs-announce-partnership-3c52864b9175

for more details please visit our website https://www.sirinlabs.com/ and read the white paper https://www.sirinlabs.com/media/SIRINLABS_-_White_Paper.pdf

Very interesting project. I read about this earlier before the post, so I wasn't aware that the ICO hasn't been announced. A few questions:

1. What if you bought $999 of SRN tokens and then when the phone comes out, the tokens have dropped in value? Will you be forced to buy more SRN to buy the phone? Will this not encourage people to just wait for the phone to come out, and then buy SRN tokens with $999 and buy the phone?
2. The money will be credited daily to phone owners or SRN buyers?

Very interesting project, are you the representative for Sirin Labs?
8627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Foxico - catalog for ICO market on: October 29, 2017, 08:32:20 AM
Anyone else want to do a nice (or bad) review of foxico? They have a rating system, but since I have not seen even a single one of the ICOs they have listed in this thread so far, I cannot say if the reviews are legitimate.

Foxico: how about you try rating these ICOs (2 not yet launched) and I will see how you rate them. I know them a little so I can review your review Smiley Very different ICOs I am listing, variety is the spice of life.

1. Triforce Tokens
2. Milkcoin
3. Sirin Labs
8628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to use waves? on: October 28, 2017, 09:13:08 PM
You cannot have received Waves as an airdrop, unless I am unaware of some new thing going on? You can only earn on leasing out your Waves, but I highly doubt this is what happened since you think you received airdrops.

What I think happened. You signed up for an Airdrop of a Waves based token. And to send the tokens to you, the devs probably needed to send a small amount of Waves as transaction fee. Check your main page lite wallet, it should show zero. Check the second tab page, it shows your token portfolio. That is what you probably got.
8629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: VIABTC SCAMMED ME OR IS IT THIS WAY ? on: October 28, 2017, 08:41:50 PM
i think VIABTC scammed me also,
Just bought a contract from them in order to use their the "transaction accelerator" cuz i have a BTC tx thats unconfirmed for almost 30+ hours, so far they didn't enable that customer-only function for me yet, and no e-mail answer aswell.

My another 2 cents, almost a day passed and still no any response from viabtc, but fortunately the transaction that was stuck finally got confirmed.
cheers!!

Public disclaimer, I am not in any way a Bitcoin Cash supporter, although I am thankful for ViaBTC acceleration service. I just wish they did not need to make it about politics when they put up that landing page notice a while back. Anyway, despite my personal feelings towards such things, I highly doubt that they would cheat you for a few dollars when they already provide the service free anyway.

I guarantee you will come back here later and confirm that they in fact have credited you. It is the weekend, come on.
8630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Missed the crypto train, time for a $5K gamble on: October 28, 2017, 08:13:35 PM
I was considering getting into the ethconnect ico in 3 days time but changed my mind and will do something almost as risky.

I plan to put $5010 in bitconnect and make a 179 day loan with +0.20% daily bonus.
Rather than reinvesting the daily interest of $45 odd I will buy alt coins - bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and lisk with bitconnects daily profits.
If bitconnect doesn't go down in 6 months I will get back my $5010 and will also have about 8k invested in altcoins.

Any thoughts (apart from "it's a pyramid and you will loose your investment")?  Grin

Peace

My friend. Take some good advice from well meaning folks here. Do not take this gamble. Everything in crypto is already a huge gamble as it is, no need to take an even bigger risk like this. Even if it is not a pyramid scheme, it is very likely in this climate that it cannot deliver the daily bonus for a long time.

You have NOT missed the crypto train. It is still in the station. Climb on board and take your time to learn.
8631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Need more BTC - buy now or wait a few weeks? on: October 28, 2017, 05:09:17 PM
Have a little more money to invest in crypto. I'm a little anxious to buy now as I speculate there may be a nice pull back on the price post-fork. I'd like to buy some BTC and some alt coins with about half of it.
Worth getting now and getting some B2X or wait til after the fork?

Too risky to wait until the fork, if I may say so. In fact, it is more likely to surge even higher all the way up to Segwit2x where you can take profits at 10 to 15 % at minimum before it will fall back to the levels today. But do not be surprised if even the fork does not bring it back below $6000. All these forking businesses seem to have strengthened Bitcoin time after time. Then again, SW2x is the most powerful of all the forks. Be ready for surprises.
8632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Matchpool GUPPY [GUP] Price Speculation on: October 28, 2017, 11:29:43 AM
I bought my gups for around 5400 sats a few months ago and i am still keeping them. I havent lose anything by usd. I will keep holding till i make some profit btcwise.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/guppy/#charts but you lose on your bitcoin's value, because the current price was 3400 satoshi and remember the matchpool even worth around 2k satoshi. that means you are loosing your money too.

That is not a bad way to look at it, but then you have to remember in which currency you traded with. It is almost certain that you traded Matchpool with BTC, so no matter how you look at it, you have lost coins. I too have multiple altcoin holdings in my portfolio. If I only look at fiat value, I am more or less breaking even. But I never traded in USDT so I have to be honest. I bought with Bitcoins, and they are worth less Bitcoins than when I bought them so I am in a loss.

8633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is buying WAVES? on: October 28, 2017, 09:24:36 AM
the only ones who are investing in waves are those who doesnt know where to put their funds, most of them thinks that the price of waves will be $10 before the end of the year, or 50$ by next year, this is obviously false, there is no way that waves could rise by that price, it is almost impossible to see such a grow.
But it doesnt matter, there are better options for you to invest instead of waves, it is so freezed right now.
Just take a look at coins under $1, maybe they have more future than waves.

So are you saying that all Waves investors are better than those investing in a hundred other altcoins? Most people who believe in Waves, including me, are not even worried about price or things like that. You can see my post history, I am willing to wait til 2019 and beyond. And I am not even talking about 2x growth in that period. It is a long term hold of years for me.

Price is not everything. But if you do not know that yet, maybe you should go ahead and buy those below $1 coins on that basis alone.
8634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to find Escrow Agents for ICO? on: October 27, 2017, 03:58:45 PM
Actually, if you prefer to use an escrow with a good reputation for holding escrow payments for ICOs, you can check out Coinpayments. They are also in my signature, so yes, I am promoting them, but I only promote services I like and support. They have handled several escrow payments for ICOs already. Most recently I believe was for Triforce Tokens. So if you see an ICO with them handling escrow, you know your funds are that much safer.
8635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BitShares true story 3 on: October 27, 2017, 03:06:14 PM
Okay, OP, first you need to learn to use formatting to make it easy on the yes. It is already a tough task to sift through the garbage, and if you have valid points, they deserve being put out in a nice format for people like me to avoid headaches.

But on the point, yes, BitShares has its share of problems, and that is what you get with a sort of centralised foundation running things. Conflict of interest is so painfully obvious, and we saw that with ETH. At least with Bitcoin, people voluntarily left. The voting power is somewhat a stop gap, but can only work if people care enough. And we know the majority do not!
8636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is everyone doing with their Bitcoin Gold? on: October 27, 2017, 01:56:02 PM
I have not done anything with mine. I am SO glad I did not sell my huge bags of alts just to get BTC for the free coins. I would never have got them transferred in time to exchanges, by the time I did, I would have sold for perhaps 4% of BTC price at best? On the other hands, my alts have recovered more than that value, and I did not have to face the hassle.

I still have about 100,000 BTG waiting to be moved. That is something like 3xxx satoshi now,,,
8637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Something isn't right about Electroneum on: October 27, 2017, 10:44:13 AM
I remember commenting on a post some time ago about Electroneum's association with Healthy Living Products. If anyone is familiar with MLM companies like Amway, then be aware that there are so many similarities, especially when it comes to referral programs. This does not of course equate with a scam, since Amway and their ilk are legitimate companies with impressive strategies that keep them alive.

But if you need a reminder of what MLM does to crypto, look up OneCoin.
8638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The death of stratis waves and Lisk on: October 27, 2017, 08:55:35 AM
No, I don't think so. The nearest analogy for me is products for site creation without coding. Can you create your own site without coding? Yes. Will it be good and multifunctional? Hell no. Same with this ICOs.

Exactly! Yes, everyone can create a site now with free instant web builders, blogs with one-click Wordpress installs, even shops and forums, with all one-click. If that is the type of project and ICO you want, then no one is stopping you. See how our forum is littered with instant ERC20 tokens. An airdrop every hour, an ICO every day.

But you have a good idea? You need very good developers and coding experts. Just compare Stratis and Waves to those insta ICO tokens. See the difference even in how they look.
8639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Modum Price Speculation Now on etherdelta ,Next exchange is ? bittrex ? on: October 27, 2017, 07:16:41 AM
I love projects which fly under radar. I have been invited into the pre ico and bought very much of this coin.

As it has  been listed I was heavily underwater and bought more and more the more it was dumping. Was a good decision. This is one of the real long term hodls in my opinion. Have in mind that we are still only on EdterhDelta. A new exchange will it fly .

If that were the basis for me to join an ICO, to buy up all the coins at crazy high bonuses just because they were flying under the radar, I would end up with a hundred alt bags. If two of them reach the heights of twice their ICO price, I would be lucky to break even.

I also bought more into the dumping in October of some alts, and still I am in heavy losses. So by circumstance, I have become a long-term bagholder. Things are just so unpredictable, you cannot buy based on these market numbers.
8640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is buying WAVES? on: October 26, 2017, 05:41:03 PM
Not a current buyer here, but a long time holder, and increased my substantial (to me) holdings about 2 months ago and a month ago, when I thought the alt dip was opportune. I definitely wish I had more Bitcoins to buy Waves though, with their bargain prices just teasing me so!

I think that once Waves NG is rolled out to Main Net plus when the new DEX is rolled out, which I hope will be in the next month or so, then Waves will get the attention and indeed price rise it deserves!

Absolutely! I am just so surprised that all this coin's/project's worth has been overlooked for other hyped out coins. It really, really, deserves a lot more than this. Especially when stupid Bitcoin forks comes out and just hop above 5% Bitcoin price for nothing more than fancy make-ups! Just you wait for our belived Waves!
