8681  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be Taxed...... on: October 17, 2017, 05:46:07 AM
This is interesting could be a mass following with this. South Korea is preparing to Tax bitcoin use after the cryptocurrency's trading volume sky-rocked. This could spark a new trend s everyone battels to see how to control the life of cryptocurrency's

Sounds like good news to me, to be honest. My government is still not very clear on Bitcoin, so there is no tax on it. But if a government like South Korea taxes Bitcoin, this means they recognize it and therefore it is legal and proper currency. Is that not a good thing? As a responsible citizen, you should always pay income tax anyway. South Korea let people have Internet and knowledge and services to use Bitcoin. You owe it tax to help keep things running well.
8682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🇨 Crypterium - Digital Cryptobank with Credit Token & Open Platform🇨 on: October 16, 2017, 01:59:16 PM

Do you guys know that there are many people here don't agree with even the idea of cryptobank? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1652815.2320

There is a big difference in centralizing the system, which is what banks do by exercising control. They decide so many things, how you keep your money, how money is created and what and how you use your money. Crypterium takes away a lot of that control by putting it in the hands of the user. At the same time, it makes it easier for the normal user to use and store and exchange crypto. Can you imagine how a user that barely knows how to use some wallets cannot go into crypto because they just do not have something simple to use?
8683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin. 2017 will be $ 1 in December. on: October 16, 2017, 12:20:25 PM
are serius about this,, $1/ doge,
i have so many doge in my wallet.. plz dont make a joke
$1 is not possible completely unrealistic - 100 sat is more of a goal for me - it briefly could hit 500 sat with MAJOR hype, but I would have sold out long before then

I have some good feelings about Dogecoin. I never ever buy them of course. I just collect from faucets and giveaways. Actually am so surprised sometimes to see that i have >25,000 DOGE just from doing nothing and taking them when they are there. that is now $25 worth of crypto. I still can a few hundred every month if not closer to a thousand. So if it takes 10 years for DOGE to become even 1 cent, I will be quite rich.
8684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a coin without mining? on: October 16, 2017, 09:58:46 AM
YES!  Get some CRAVE or other masternode coins listed on https://masternodes.pro/ (the site is being revamped, maybe bookmark it and check back on occasion, always something new going on) - there's amazing opportunities to get some REALLY CHEAP passive income streams right now!

You'll dig it, these coins are great and not many people seem to have cottoned onto them yet..  There's articles around about it eg: https://www.investitin.com/masternode/

I have been watching this Masternode application ever since I witnessed it being launched on altcoins around May this year. Now there just so many alts proposing to use Masternodes as a good way of returning interest but I cannot be certain it is a good long term model. Also, since DASH had its security compromised even with masternodes, it does beg the question if the security really is as good as they say, or is this just another way to spin more money from holding?
8685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves on: October 16, 2017, 08:53:35 AM
Personally I like WAVES because it has a nice multicurrency wallet, token portfolio and decentralized exchange all in one light application. And from what I understand there will be an even better application going to be launched. It is easy to use for a normal user like me and very fast. This is what apps need to become to get major adoption. But yes, at the moment it is still better to buy Waves itself with Bitcoin on one of the many exchanges you will find out there.
8686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin on: October 16, 2017, 07:25:19 AM
Litecoin will never be 100 bucks. If it were, it would have been much earlier. Right now Litecoin is not popular and I do not think it will be appreciated.

Litecoin (LTC)
$64.30 (-0.70%)
0.01162940 BTC (3.57%)

Market Cap
$3,432,525,618
620,857 BTC

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/litecoin/

While no one really knows whether you're right or wrong regarding future price of LTC (I do disagree, though), I don't understand your reasoning.

For quite some time now, LTC value behaves in a way that it rises to a certain level, correts a little bit and stays at that level for a little while, before rising again (typical long-term uptrend). In other words, your statement makes no sense as it is, judging by the movement of LTC value up to this moment. And as the whole market expands, I can't see the reason why it wouldn't rise to 100$ very soon, regardless of not quite getting to this value until now.

Could you elaborate a little bit, if you care to do it of course? It's not just that I disagree, I'm genuinely interested in hearing (or reading) as many well-explained different thoughts as possible.
Thank you.

His only reasoning is that Litecoin is not popular. He is correct but only looking at some major points in that perhaps it is not AS popular as Bitcoin and Ethereum. But look at Litecoin as a cryptocurrency first - one of the oldest around. Many sites that accept more than one crypto will accept Litecoin. You want to compare it to say Monero? How many ICOs accept LTC and not XMR?

I may not believe LTC will reach $100 this year but if Bitcoin reaches $10000 next year, then $100 is very natural, if not much more.

And yes LTC behaviour is like this. Rise high then settle down. The old settle was at $50, not it seems to be $60.
8687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Pally - Decentralised Social Travel on: October 15, 2017, 04:30:09 PM
Hi there,

Thanks for your question.

A) We have not just one live product, but two. Pally Social: Private alpha from November till March, public beta in the app store from April. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pally-the-app-for-friendly-internationals/id1206993633?mt=8 Pally Adventures: is in private beta in London currently: https://pwareact.firebaseapp.com/

The overall community size is 25k people

B) We've existed for 18+ months, have been through bootstrapping, friends and family round, seed round in the private market and the amount we're trying to raise in our ongoing ICO is the equivalent to what we would be aiming for in a series A in the private market which is what the next round of funding if it weren't for the crowdsale.

C) Our HARD cap is $4.55M. Our soft cap is 15% of that amount.

D) We are proud of our advisory board and delighted to have such rigorous experience across several big industries contributing to the company

Please let us know if you have any further questions of course Smiley

Thank you for the detailed response! I appreciate it!

I am still not very clear on B), but perhaps this is just simpler asked: what is the 4.5m budget for? Do you have a simple budget prepared (not the funds allocation, but a line budget with expense listings) so I could look at it and decide if it was realistic? Congratulations for having a famous team behind you and 18+ months of experience, I had hoped they would have brought something like that to the table but could not find anything like it in the whitepaper and position paper. HSBC and JP Morgan know this is one of many basics for investor interest. Thank you!

8688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Pally - Decentralised Social Travel on: October 15, 2017, 03:27:42 PM
So, looks like this ICO is already doing well. Do you mind to share what the secret of your success is? I mean, you have no product, and are asking for a soft cap of 4.5 million dollars. That is a lot of money for an idea that already exists, with little solid. OK famous team. OK people from all the big names who are known to be wasteful with resources and scandals worth millions.

Note: this is NOT an attack, seriously just curious about your success.
8689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin on: October 15, 2017, 02:00:26 PM
Well, well, just as I thought Litecoin has lost steam it is powering past $60 as we speak. Of course, it would be lucky to even hit $80 again before end of 2017, much less $100, but I have very high hopes for this alt. The main dev supposedly is working on so many new things, like some kind of multisig transaction across wallets (or coins rather) with Lightning Network. That type of thing is simply amazing for Litecoin.
8690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Anyone looking at TriForce? on: October 14, 2017, 03:17:22 PM
Just noticed Triforcetokens pre-ICO launched today from the tokens announcement section. It looks so solid I am so surprised no one has mentioned it here before. ISO certification for United Kingdom compliance, it got backing from UK government and is a member of the trade association there. Honestly, feel tempted to go in but I was hoping to wait until October 25. Anyone can offer advice? I do not know much about this project or online gaming, supposedly it is a cross platform to unite economy of online games. Meaning does not matter if you play on any game or platform, you can use their tokens.
8691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Vs Bitcoin on: October 14, 2017, 02:08:35 PM
This has little to do with Litecoin itself or Bitcoin itself. The difference is just because of the mining algorithm. SCRYPT is somehow less in demand that SHA256 at the moment, so you are just suffering from lack of demand. You might find temporarily that you can mine more as difficulties are much less in Litecoin than Bitcoin now. You might end up making less if converting to fiat, but the idea for miners is to only sell enough to keep operating while holding for the future.
8692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Mona COIN? Trading, sell now or wait? on: October 14, 2017, 08:39:42 AM
This is one of those coins that come out of nowhere, pay a lot of money to get listed on big exchanges and then start pumping actions all called by several whales. If you have any now, you are probably part of those groups so yes, sell now and keep your profits. If you are not, do not fall for this trick. Stay away from the action and focus on coins you knew you had taken positions on. No offence to Monacoin of course.
8693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FILE-SHARING ICO - Upfiring on: October 14, 2017, 07:48:05 AM
Upfiring - Incentivized and decentralized file-sharing
https://www.upfiring.com

Looks like they're going to offer tokens to people who seed files on their platform, kind of like uTorrent but you get crypto rewards.

Definitely looks very interesting. Seen it talked about favorably on reddit as well. Would you invest?
Hopefully, if this is done well, it would be a huge one for the project. The idea is great, not like it is new as we already have some projects already but not really doing quite much about it. If this can work, then there is a possibility of seeing much more light at the end and it is really not a bad idea to invest in.

I remember the days when copy-right issue killed the file hosting industry. I pray that not to happen into blockchain based era too.

Agreed. It's crazy that with all the blockchain projects out there, nobody's tackled P2P file-sharing successfully yet. Huge potential for this project if they can do it successfully.

With all the cracking down on p2p sharing, I also share your surprise that all the past projects trying to solve it have not been successful. But this clearly goes to show that a LOT of projects on crypto and ICOs have wonderful ideas but do not have the devs with correct knowledge to pull it off. People think all they need to do is make a smart contract token and the work is done. But there are truly so few actual blockchain devs who know what they are doing.
8694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: October 13, 2017, 04:07:30 PM
You know what, it makes perfect sense that Bitcoin gets stronger, and not weaker, after overcoming each challenge. In fact, if it were not for all these obstacles,,, ETF rejection, Bitcoin cash fork, bans in China and so on, I doubt we would see the prices we have all enjoyed today! Imagine if everything went according to dev wishes and no forks happened and everyone embraced it. We would have ETH! So, you know what, bring on the forks, bring on the bans. Make Bitcoin stronger!
8695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [RPX] Red Pulse Speculation on: October 13, 2017, 03:23:47 PM
So, was everyone happy with how RPX ICO went? I was literally about to buy NEO to invest, but thanks to some unexpected alt losses (yes, we are all in the same boat),,, I was forced to stay away from anything. I feel I will regret it, but I have taken quite a beating already on trading so I really need to keep my hands and Bitcoin tied down.

Oh btw, I heard some Chinese people still managed to sneak in on the back of other non-China investors.
8696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ukraine to regulate exchanges on: October 13, 2017, 12:57:46 PM
Okay, so we have countries slowly following the examples of each other in trying to regulate exchanges. Fair enough. They feel the need to get in some control before it spins out of their understanding. And in some cases, they want to protect their citizens.

But this will affect the ideals of people who originally want to use Bitcoin because of privacy and security. But maybe this will force them to completely abandon fiat? Without exchanges, you can still trade crypto and crypto only. Maybe this is how it must start for a true crypto and fiatless economy to happen.
8697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH on it's way on: October 13, 2017, 12:35:47 PM
ETH just might make it as big as bitcoin in the future, being known as much as btc. Will ETH make it's way in the upcoming years despite the price being around 350-400$.  ETH just may surpass btc in the market trading with bigger companies and bigger investors.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/recent-ethereum-upgrade-may-make-wall-street-fall-in-love-with-blockchain

That has been the main speculation for ETH since this year, when everyone talked about the great Flippening about to happen. Remember that when Bitcoin almost hit $3000 and ETH was $400? And people said, wow, more than 10% of Bitcoin value. Well, every time ETH tries to climb back to $300 like now, Bitcoin is making new ATHs. Flippening is not happening, we have to accept that and move on.

Wall Street has to stop loving Bitcoin first too.
8698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO would you suggest for October? on: October 13, 2017, 11:30:25 AM
Whichever ICO you choose for October, I would recommend you wait at least until November when forks have happened and past. OR, if you really want to do it, then make sure the ICO has already made plans to regulate their ICO. Right now, this is the biggest danger to ICOs, and if you choose one that is not prepared, you will lose a lot of money when the authorities clamp down.

Regulated ICO that I know of are  UTRUST and HYDROMINER.
8699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OMNI (OMNI) - to the moon? on: October 13, 2017, 07:38:58 AM
Of course it is a pump, what else would you think this could be? On a day when every other alt almost is falling at frightening speed, and Bitcoin jumping more than 10% to a mighty $5,600, it would take something special to make an alt even maintain its current value. Since yesterday, OMNI has had no news. No update or new development. No release of confirmed partnerships. No listing on new exchange. So of course it is a few whales working to pump the price. Do not get fooled.
8700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH bleeding death? on: October 13, 2017, 07:17:00 AM

That is what they want you to think, so you dump your BCH at fire-sale prices.

Chinese government and Bitmain are likely working closely together on increasing their share of The Real Bitcoin pie. Perhaps China will open the floodgates again when they are ready after all the fools have sold.

Have any of you ever played poker.

SegWit is an insecure altcoin, which will be stolen and discarded.

Bitcoin gold is some nonsense about ASIC resistance, which can’t exist. Equihash has been analysed.

All the forks of The Real Bitcoin (aka BTCSatoshi not BTCSegWit) will probably die eventually. Immutability of Bitcoin is golden. Everything else rusts.

First time I have ever heard of BTCSatoshi, and you are simply not the first to claim the Real Bitcoin and you will hardly be the last. The real Bitcoin is what exists as the main chain, preferred by the people who use it most. It can be a fork if it ends up like that one day, it can be the old original chain. It does not matter. The real Bitcoin is not fixed, it will evolve. Immutable as ever, on the path/chain most chosen.
