8641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I had BTC in my wallet when fork happened, How can I retrieve BTG ? on: October 26, 2017, 04:23:43 PM
Please learn to use Google search a little bit better or look around this forums. There are plenty of threads created with the same topic. Besides, do not trust what people tell you here! But, to summarize and help you on your way:

1. Make sure you control your own Bitcoins.
2. Head over to the official Bitcoin Gold website at https://btcgpu.org
3. Read their how-to guide
4. Wallets that support BTG are all on the front page.
8642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BTER.com is shutting down on: October 26, 2017, 03:44:18 PM
Very cryptic, but it can mean anything when you are translating from a local language, as we have come to realise with all these Chinese-origin news. If in fact it were true, though, then you should be able to withdraw your CNY, since they would be keeping your money. They surely will not do that if indeed the authorities are making them close down. You should still get in touch with them about what to do with your yuan. Maybe request an equivalent in Bitcoin or some other crypto?
8643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PIVX once Zerocoin protocol is implemented (10/16/17) ? on: October 26, 2017, 03:06:57 PM
All right, so since this post was created, all three things in the roadmap have activated, with the final one being Zerocoin protocol. The end result? A price drop of more than 10%, fiat value. I am too lazy to calculate the BTC value drop, but I am certain it is not much better than any other alt that withered under Bitcoin's rise. Just goes to show, you cannot always just buy the news. And if this looks like an entry point, check Bitcoin and see that it recovered >10% after Bitcoin Gold!

8646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: waves vs Neo on: October 25, 2017, 02:48:04 PM
Both neo and waves are both blockchain network.  How come neo become more successful  in terms of worth than waves without good wallet or much development  like waves.
I think, if you want to invest you should invest in both NEO and WAVES as both of these projects can show really good amount of growth in the future.
WAVES is regarded as the ethereum killer by many and believe that it will replace ethereum in future and will host most of the ICOs in future.
The idea of decentralized exchange is also very unique and it makes waves a very promising project to invest your money in.
NEO on the other hand is also a very good project to invest your money. Many regard it as the Chinese ethereum. It is without any doubt one of the most promising projects to invest your money in. It can really show good amount of growth in future.

I do not know about being an Eth killer, but Waves is a bit low compared to Neo because it did not have the same hype, to my knowledge. I hear everytime they say that Neo is the Chinese Ethereum, Red Pulse ICO also created such a strong hype (and then flopped for the time being). I support WAVES, I will not say others are bad or worse,,, but WAVES is quiet and moving along. To me, that is a strong and stable coin. And of all the DEX out there, they have the nicest GUI!
8647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My strategy for the next hardfork SEGWIT2X on: October 25, 2017, 11:19:33 AM
My strategy for the next fork, that is supposed to take place around 20th nov.
If there are exchanges that support it and credit B2X for BTC in 1:1 ratio, then i will sell all my alts to buy just and only BItcoin. (nowdays i dont have a cent in BTC). This B2X seems by far very more worth than the BTG shit.. JUst right after the fork, dumping of BTC to buy the bleeding alts that will be around cryptomarket. I will keep the B2X at least for some days (as there is no replay protection, so better safe than sorry) and then decide if keep or dump also.
NOw the question is.. it is smart to sell my damaged altcoins still with lost (since i bought during the summer ATH) and start accumulating BTC? when should i do it? will the altcoins have another rise like yesterday? will BTC still drop more ?
take in mind that last time, people began accumulating BTC as long as 3 weeks before the hardfork... so no much time left for a decision.
what do you think?

It is a sound strategy in my opinion, because Segwit2x will be bigger than BCG, even if none of the three forks this year will overcome Bitcoin. I have lost a lot of BTC due to alts dipping, and I stayed away from BCG. But just before Segwit2x fork, I will do the same, sell half my alts to BTC, get the free coins, sell back for more BTC, and then rebuy my alts. I think I can at least recover 5% of losses this way.

I am holding all losses until then.
8648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: For those who are running Airdrop especially ETH Token. (Cheating participants) on: October 24, 2017, 06:40:51 PM
Wow,,, thank you for bringing this up. It looks like you posted this 11 days ago but I only saw that now. Now that I think about it, there is nothing to stop anyone from using our bct profiles to sign up for nonsense airdrops. I hope bounty managers pay attention and developers fix the way they distribute airdrops.

Now that I recall, the ones I joined required people to post or send PMs to the OP. So you can't cheat that way and earn.
8649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MyEtherWallet Hacked on: October 24, 2017, 05:51:46 PM
Even though I am not a fan of Ethereum at all, we should not avoid ETH just because a lot of scams happen on it. That is like avoiding Bitcoin or fiat because drug dealers and child pornography use them as payment. The reason so many scams happen on ETH is just that it is so easy to create an ERC20 token. You have people now just selling services, to create a token, whitepaper, logo, signatures and all that in a week.
8650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 💲💲 Bitcoin Gold have been airdropped and is already traded on Yobit !!💲💲 on: October 24, 2017, 04:08:17 PM
People really need to stop just writing what they are thinking and show how little we know. Yes, it has been more than 24 hours traded on Yobit, but it was more like a futures trading. If anything, yobit seems to have made a bit of history by being one of the earliest Bitcoin Cash exchanges. And not Bitcoin Gold. They are even listen on the official BCG website as a partner exchange, so no need to shout scam.

I saw it went as high as 0.2 even on yobit but now is a quarter of that. Almost same price as BCC now.
8651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES mega bullish! on: October 24, 2017, 10:14:59 AM
All very good to hear, but WAVES need to just continue focus on building good product that gets even better with time. A few people are only using the Waves platform and they already know how good it is and how better it will become. Do not worry about the price being bullish or bearish for now. Just keep it at current pace. I have my Waves in red now but I am never worried. 2018 and 2019, I am ready.
8652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wings Price Speculation on: October 23, 2017, 06:06:28 PM
Wings seems pretty interesting and I think now is a very good time to Invest.
Wings is jut a new coin launched on January,2017. Athough Devs said that it provides a good platform Wings DAO. But I have not heard any good news about it. I do not think that it price will raise up. Huh

I bought about 3% of my alt portfolio in WINGS Dao from Bittrex. To be honest, I wish I put more in, since it was NOT the worst performer among all my others. Then again, it was not immune to the alt blasting that has happened since Bitcoin broke past $4000. I would keep a big eye on this in 2018, although it should recover in the coming months for that to happen. I am expecting some announcement soon since it has been so quiet so far.
8653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market will fall today, how to predict?? on: October 23, 2017, 03:44:40 PM
No one can predict such a thing. And if we look at Bitcoin this year, yes it has grown 50% in a month but it has also crashed 50% in even the same period of one month. For that reason, hold your emotions and enjoy this wonderful year for crypto, but do not ever think it has become so high it cannot go down. I learnt this from my non-Bitcoin coins this October. between 40% to 80% losses since March!
8654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🇨 Crypterium - Digital Cryptobank with Credit Token & Open Platform🇨 on: October 23, 2017, 11:46:58 AM
Do not forget everyone! Tomorrow is the day to register yourself for a "whitelisting" for the Crypterium project. For those worried about the Bitcoin Gold fork, you do not even need to deposit so do not worry. Just register yourself and your addresses, you can sort out all your Bitcoin later after 25 October when Bitcoin Gold completes its fork. Worst case scenario you always can deposit/buy with altcoins. Looking forward to see what kind of reception Crypterium is going to get!
8655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please help select a top25 coin for 3000 USD to hold up to NY on: October 23, 2017, 11:04:45 AM
Except for STEEM, I think you will not go much wrong with choosing either NEM QTUM or STRATIS. My gut feeling is for STRATIS mainly due to the fact that I myself am holding a bit and I have seen new services accept STRATIS as payment options. NEM will always be strong at some point later due to Japanese government intention to using it. QTUM I also feel has good development.

Why not 30% in those 3 in 10% in STEEM? That is a safer option.
8656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia starting ‘CryptoRuble’ !!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: October 23, 2017, 10:14:09 AM
Well, we can speculate and throw rumours around all we want, but the fact remains that all the official word from Putin and the Russian Central Bank has only favoured a national cryptocurrency, and an intention to regulate exchanges and crypto. Nothing solid or permanent has happened so we can only wait. I believe that is what Russia is doing. Waiting. And learning. And then they will be ready to do whatever they want.

My idea: they will not ban Bitcoin, they will regulate heavily. And maybe launch a blockchain project, but not crypto.
8657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of DogeCoin on: October 23, 2017, 08:51:01 AM
To see so much criticism of Dogecoin by so many forum users here is a sign and a clue to what the crypto community here is really all about. I appreciate that OP has spent the time to research it. I hope you see that Dogecoin is very unique because of the giving community, generous towards all and especially charity. Look at all the other alts claiming millions and yet all their community does is talk about price, profit, and going to the moon.

I agree Dogecoin will need to look at its supply again, but do not forget its creator decided to do it like this after a lot of thinking and felt it was the right path.
8658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypterium on: October 23, 2017, 04:53:02 AM
Yes, I think it is a nice idea, which is why I also support it by joining their promotion campaign, as you can see. A lot of people are critical, saying that there should not be banks involved with cryptocurrency, but you have to understand that the idea is to familiarize people with the concept of crypto in an idea of a bank. It is not a centralization at all since people are still in full control of all their crypto and digital assets but it allows people the ease of using and exchanging all their assets with each other.
8659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡[ANN][AIRDROP][Bounty] ⚡ MaxxToken ⚡ The Token of Social Network ⚡ Join today on: October 23, 2017, 04:35:20 AM
Okay, so I am reading a little bit about this airdrop project and I have a couple of questions, if dev does not mind to answer!

1. Project was successful in beta, where was this managed and what was the statistics that determined success? For example, how large was userbase and what kind of use did you manage to record. Would be nice to read up on all these!
2. Was the token aspect always in the plan or only decided after the beta success?
8660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The target is to multiply [btc] not $. on: October 22, 2017, 08:06:30 PM
Unless I am mistaken, this indeed was the goal of almost all alt traders, since we all buy and sell in BTC. It was only recently that I realized I would not be suffering the way I am now if I had traded in FIAT (something like USDT perhaps) instead of Bitcoin. At one way, I have lost a small amount of US dollars, when converting my BTC value of alts. But in reality I have lost 40-50% of Bitcoins thanks to alts dropping and Bitcoin rising.

Remember, nothing is realized until you actually convert it back to money or coin in your own wallet!
