781  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTB MSDN Invite on: December 29, 2014, 12:55:57 PM
I do not think any seller can guarantee it will work for 3 years. There are just too many factors to consider since 3 years is a very long time but good luck.

Just thought i would chime in on the latest news..

First off scam/hack what does it matter hashie is :

 INCOMPETENT

Doesn't matter what / how it happened if you are dumb/stupid enough to keep throwing money at hashie then you'll get what you deserve.

Now moving on that address hashie posted last night as a donate address: 1HaShiEAAhhkVW8fdTpg1mu2ikLVZcxtg2

I did a little look up on blockchain got this in big red letters:

Warning! this bitcoin address contains transactions which may be double spends. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to or from this address.

PS

Hashie has enable chat for everyone even those who don't have bought gh/s on hashie now..

The double spend address does not mean anything. My personal address from back in 2013 has it as well. Does not mean I did anything fishy on it (since I have not).
784  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Official Hashprofit Cloud Mining Thread on: December 29, 2014, 02:38:00 AM
Word to the wise avoid all these new cloud mining sites that keep popping up. Unless they come from a reputable company or have hardcore proof that they are mining and will be legit. Way too easy to make a scam cloud mining site then go under with everyones investments

Thats why people need to learn. AMHASH has 3 ways to invest: directly (safe), havelock (reputable so pretty safe), hashie.co (new company that has no proof of gen1 miners). No brainer which options people should go with and which should be avoided  Roll Eyes

Hashnest monitor is here.

Interesting monitor for cloud mining sites in general. Thanks for sharing.

What worries me the most is he is mentioning about hack and delay in payments, multiplications, etc but still accepting orders and taking peoples money. If he was hacked and shutdowns payments outgoing he should also do it for incoming payments as well  Angry

This is a good sign. It means the business is still functioning as it should.

The problem is not with accepting payments or allocating shares after all. The problem is with wallet addresses held in the database. As far as we know, it was ONLY this db that was compromised.

Has anyone ever considered it may be the haxors that are some of the most vocal in this & other related threads demanding payouts continue?

IMO they dont want to be exposed. They dont want Chris digging too deeply and finding the source of their intrusion. Yet Chris is doing exactly that, and has said he will continue to work on it until the WHOLE database is fixed and the source of the intrusion fixed, so he can keep paying us, his legitimate customers.

Give the man a break, and let him do his work. HE OWES US NOTHING, except refund of our investments at best, but is working around the clock to fix everything so we can continue to be paid and have extra features such as auctions & escrow. LTC Gear is the ONLY operation out there that will give you ROI inside 2 months, but it cant do that if the database is compromised. One of the reasons Chris moved his site to a new ISP may have been to increase security. He never did give a reason why it was moved, and if it was for security, he's not necessarily going to announce that as the reason. In other words, he may have seen something like this coming and tried to pre-empt it. In the process it may be the haxors had their claws in deep enough already to compromise the database (or so it seems). Regardless, the site has been moved and security has since been improved. Let him continue his work. If we all come out the other side of this we will all be better off for it.

I agree that if there is actual hardware we're going to be fine in the end. If this is a scam then it will obviously implode. Amhash looking better every day.

+1
as long as the hardware exists it everything will be fine.

And there is no proof this hardware exists so the logic behind it is pointless. Show me where Chris has a mining address or video proof of his miners because there is none posted for the public to see. At least he is keeping us up to date but just like PBmining he could be gone in a flash and no one is to blame but the customers since the likelihood of a ponzi is high and everyone was warned a long time ago.

BTW I was in both pbmining and ltcgear and made ROI in both so does not affect me as much

790  Economy / Securities / Re: Hashie FireHashers: 60 / 90 day difficulty derivatives. ~0.75BTC / 2.5TH! on: December 27, 2014, 02:34:02 AM
Anyone want to chime in on their thoughts

I feel like 60 day would be a good deal I think about 2 months from now the hash rate is gonna blow up with am and other chips/products coming out

Not worth it. If you do the math on a 60 day firehasher you will only ROI if difficulty increases 4% or less each time (and 4% is only very slightly more than ROI). Difficulty looks like it might start increasing now and even if it only goes up or down by 1% if we get hit with a 10% increase within the 60 days your ROI fails. Sure you could sell the firehasher to someone else but the 10% in fees hashie takes will suck up any profits you could have made. I would stay away from it personally. They advertise you will make approximately 0.2 btc from this product BUT if you read the fine print it says assuming difficulty does not change.
791  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBMining.......WTF is happening??? on: December 27, 2014, 02:30:11 AM
Pbmining was always fishy but a lot of people like myself already made ROI. You always have to approach most online cloud mining that is not from a reputable defined asic company with caution. They paid a lot of people out for almost a year now Pbmining is dead. If you think we are going to get refunds keep dreaming. In an ideal world but not this one.

How long does server migration take. I mean I know its Christmas weekend but maybe Chris should have scheduled multiplication for the week before. I am still waiting for last weeks payout and now this weeks as well as multiplication. He should at least keep us updated on an ETA rather than just leaving server migration on the announcement page.
793  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: December 26, 2014, 12:19:31 PM
I wonder when there will be a market S4 and S5?  Kiss

Cloud mining is a method of selling away old end-of-life hardware as GH so I wouldn't expect fresh hardware to be sold as cloud GH anytime soon, except maybe for sky-high prices.

Farm owners want to milk the highest profits from new hardware for themselves, that's for sure.

Although this is true with most providers I feel its a little diff for bitmain. The S2 and S3 are still somewhat profitable and was produced in bulk which is why they offer cloudmining for them. The S4 is still selling a lot and I am sure is not as heavily stocked as the S2s and S3s. Remember when the S1 became unprofitable they converted the shares to S2s essentially. Most companies would just terminate the shares because thats what it says in the website. S5 isnt even out yet so doubt we will see it on hashnest for a long time.

797  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] 15 day Real-Debrid Voucher on: December 25, 2014, 02:47:01 AM
I renewed my subscription to Real-Debrid which is a multi host provider which lets you download from sites like rapidgator, uploaded, netload, etc. as well as torrents. I renewed my subscription and was given a 15 day voucher once redeemed. I am looking to sell it since it can not be used on my account. Will sell for best offer.

site is finally back up

Kind of looks like a backup site with minimal features and no security. I would not log into this backup site as can compromise your account since no 2FA
799  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are you more afraid of? on: December 24, 2014, 07:47:16 PM
I had a similar event happen except I bought at $95 and sold at $210. Then I rebought at $500 and sold at $800. Of course if I would have just held I could have made a lot of money but that price increase was unexpected and never get too greedy is key.
