1221  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO on: April 20, 2014, 04:56:30 AM
Hi guys, just wanted to stop by in this thread to let you know about a Derivative product I run called BDD - the Bitcoin Difficulty Derivative.

One of its components, B.MINE, acts as a 5GH/s miner and makes daily payouts based on about what a 5GH/s miner would mine in a day. You can trade it just like a stock on the exchange, just like CEX.io. However, there are no other fees because the shares are backed by formula, not actual hardware. This means no variance and no electricity bills  Smiley

Currently, CEX.io runs at about .0094 BTC for 1GH/s; B.MINE runs at about .00572 BTC per GH/s (about 40% cheaper per GH/s!) - B.MINE is sold in 5GH/s shares, however.

I've never really mentioned or 'promoted' B.MINE outside of the Securities subforum, partially because it's part of a larger set of Securities that are all linked together. B.SELL, which is B.MINE's counterpart, actually allows people to bet that B.MINE is overvalued on the market. I highly recommend reading up on BDD if you do consider purchasing any shares, as there are some key differences between BDD and CEX.io.

So, thanks for reading - if you have any questions please feel free to stop by the BDD Thread or shoot me a PM.

Happy trading-

I actually use this derivative a lot for mining and if you sell at the right time is much more profitable.
You would not happen to be promoting it more now that you make that management fee 2% Tongue but seriously its a great alternative but again risky as well
1222  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: April 18, 2014, 03:32:31 PM
I'm a customer, and I will say this, though their service is probably the best, you cannot ROI anymore. All those front page mining calculators do not take in the Difficulty increase over time, so they produce false results. You could go and try looking for a different solution really, just not SHA256. My opinion thought, your bitcoins and your choice in the end.

I didn't even know there were BTC profitability calculators WITHOUT the ability to project difficulty increases in your calculations.  Most calculators have this and the "default" number is normally set between 20-30%.

Some of the cheaper profitability calculators do not especially ones that come built into these cloud mining websites. It is essentially false advertising since they assume difficulty does not increase but that is probably how they get more "customers" into buying 1-2 year contracts.
1223  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] 2 BTC for sale - Skrill, Paypal or Neteller on: April 18, 2014, 03:30:55 PM
People so far do not seem very serious.
I'm still looking to sell 2 BTC.

Please, contact me only if you can buy 1 or 2 BTC.

I told you I am willing to buy 1-2 btc with paypal as long as you will either use escrow or go first (can do small increments). You never contacted me back let me know.
1224  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling off my BTC investment on: April 17, 2014, 10:18:46 PM
considering your highly unreliable status on this forum and low trust value, i don't think you have much credibility when trying to cry scammer. I am simply trying to sell off my btc investment i made 5 years ago, in a way i am comfortable with without loosing out to any possible scammers trying to fob me off due to being new to this process, or who are trying to make a quick buck. So I would be very appreciative if you could refrain from such bold and brash statements on this what, had seemed friendly and honest forum! I would greatly appreciative if someone could point me in a direction of somewhere i could sell my btc off using paypal.

The idea behind escrow is to use someone with a very high trust value. This means a third party is holding your bitcoins not me. I can then pay you without even having the bitcoins in hand because someone of great trust has them. Research what escrow is if you are still confused. Anyway this is my last post in this thread. PM me if you want to trade either you sending first or with the idea of using escrow from a trusted member on this forum (not one of your friends)
1225  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling off my BTC investment on: April 17, 2014, 08:47:32 PM
Scammer trying to act smart. Avoid trading with this user. Not willing to send first to trusted members and not open to using escrow. AVOID!

I agree. I always like to offer people the benefit of the doubt. To the OP: no one is going to give you a deposit when you just started here. Your insistence for only paypal is fishy to begin with. Your "friends" must be scammers as well if they will not use escrow. That is how things are done around here if you do not trust the other party.
1226  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Mining Rental Contract - Accepts PayPal on: April 17, 2014, 07:27:44 PM
SO I looked at your site and it looks interesting however how is this even slightly profitable. I understand not getting a ROI because then the miner themselves would just mine but its not even coming close to even a 90-95% ROI. Why would I pay for a 75% return when I can just buy the coin.
1227  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling off my BTC investment on: April 17, 2014, 07:15:42 PM
Sorry but i am new to all this what is escrow?
 cheers

Since your new you would give your btc to a reputable trusted member on this forum. He would hold the bitcoin and once I send the paypal money to you he would give me the bitcoin. This is the only way I will go through with this transaction unless you want to give me the bitcoin first. As long as you will go first I will go in as small increments as you would like. Let me know which way works for you.
1228  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling off my BTC investment on: April 17, 2014, 07:02:28 PM
I am willing to buy but are you willing to either use escrow or go first?
1229  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: April 17, 2014, 06:21:43 PM
New gh price is fair since the difficulty price was less than 20%
1230  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for buyers and sellers of bitcoin on: April 17, 2014, 05:13:43 PM
I signed up but there is not much information on the transaction. What do you use to value what a bitcoin is in USD. Also are they buyer and/or seller fees?
1231  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] 2 BTC for sale - Skrill, Paypal or Neteller on: April 17, 2014, 03:10:47 PM
I can buy with paypal if you want. Due to your post count you NEED to go first or use escrow. Let me know
1232  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] 0.4 BTC for Google Wallet or Skrill on: April 17, 2014, 03:08:58 PM
I have 0.4 BTC to sell. I would prefer to receive payment via Google Wallet over Skrill but I could accept Skrill if Google Wallet is not available to buyer.

Escrow is welcome

Thanks in advance

I am interested in doing this. Either escrow must be used or you will send first. (Can do in smaller increments if you want). I never used google wallet but have it so I am willing to send this way.
1233  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: April 16, 2014, 11:16:59 PM
I used to use CEX a lot but with the trade fees now and the fact that their maintenance fee is almost 20% there is no way you can make a profit even by trying to earn a little from trading.
1234  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: April 15, 2014, 04:32:33 AM
site Looks very interesting. Just registered and will give it a try. Hopefully there are more buy orders soon

If you have any questions, let me know.

I feel you definitely should limit the discount. I see some people giving BTC a value at over $900. Maybe allow some fluctuation/discount but that is insane.

1238  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: April 12, 2014, 04:22:20 PM
I personally bought both an antminer and contracts from pbmining (although not as much as most people). The antminer is great however you have to always worry about internet going down, heat generated, pool going down, etc. Pbmining is more worry free and I have been with them since close to the beginning (I am one of the first 30 customers). I recently sold my antminer since the electric used to be cheap near me but because of the cold winter was hiked up to almost double.
1239  Economy / Exchanges / Re: buying / selling bitcoin on: April 12, 2014, 04:20:07 PM
Coinbase is the only reputable USA company that allows you to buy/sell bitcoin besides using local means like localbitcoins. If you are non-USA maybe use bitstamp (I personally would not use fiat deposits/withdrawals with btc-e heard too many bad stories).
