10 second block times? Would that not be a threat to network security?

Bitcointalk removes the link marking it as "suspicious". with a new account it's not going to let you post .tk domains. just put it in as superninjapool .tk without a hyperlink I guess  Theymos made some changes recently to what new accounts are and are not allowed to post, and .tk domains are one of those. Nobody pushes you to mine or buy this coin. If you don't trust this coin, why don't you guys just leave it alone right at beginning. BUT, you are mining, buying and holding it right now. What's wrong with you, wise people? When the price goes up, everybody is happy. When it goes down, you turn your back with what you believed just the moment ago.
Not complaining here. Just commenting.. I am not here to support this coin. I am here only to gain some profit and leave. "When the price goes up, everybody is happy." When was that again? 99% ago? Mining right now is a HUGE loss unless you have free power and hardware. No sane person can motivate mining and price drops every day. Soon we will have 25% more coins on the market for a LONG time from a dev fun that is 10x larger than it should be (more like 20x but I'm being generous). Sooner or later, Dev will smarten up and realize the 11 MILLION premine is killing the coin, but by then it will likely be too late and people will be screaming SCAM when price skyrockets when they are burned so.. Yeah, I don't predict this one surviving any longer than Franko (yeah, Franko is technically alive.. but who's interested? Value like a ham sandwich) The premine is the only good thing about this coin. You don't understand because you are a Newbie account. The problem was people went crazy and valued this coin at something like 6 million dollars. The $EXP team didn't sign contracts with developers at those high prices though. Now they are screwed and any developer with skills will probably just create a new Ethereum clone instead of being part of this DAO. Once PoS is out, then this coin will be amazing. |

In comparison with the competition this is way behind, I will be adding into my bag for a while just keep me to date and everything is  Still mining myself. Will have to see if it's cheaper to just buy at this point. Anyone know off hand? Not sure on mining info but I imagine you can't be making much as these prices I mine a lot of coins. This coin is the best coin to GPU mine. Not many people mining it. |

Vitalik Buterin says most of the previous Ethereum devs are going to make closed source private DApps. We should try to get some of them to use this coin. It makes way more sense for them. Sell your Ethereum. Buy this coin. Own 5% of this coin. Make your cool proprietary DAapp for SHIFT instead of Ethereum.
Once PoS is implemented, this coin could easily end up more secure than Ethereum.

Community is something, which practically does not longer exist. More than 80-90% of the people here care only about the current price and the profit that they could make.... as fast as they can. Nobody is asking for you to work on everything I mentioned, but you have premined coins, which you can use. SHIFT is your baby and it is you who must know to where it will be headed. Therefore you should think on some things, which are not related with tech development. Examples:
"We need to spread the word more so I must hire PR guy/s."
"I can't always answer to questions so it will be probably better if we have community manager."
etc... etc...
The days, when people actually tried to protect their investments and offered their help to some coins are pretty much over. Everybody is asking for money and that's it. If you wait for someone to take the initiative you will be very much disappointed. That's the simple truth...

The devs have decided to hold their bags of premined coins until the price goes up. They don't want to spend coins at this worthless price. If the community wants something done, then someone should buy 5 BTCs worth of SHF. That would get you like... 100,000 SHF if people would sell into a wall at 5k (people probably wouldn't). Then we would a community fund. We could also set up a donation address. I would donate 50 SHF. Maybe other people would donate more. |

13.9% is a lot of BITZ to have on BITTREX. This is a staking coin so it's dumb to store them on BITTREX/
Up for delisting again. It's too bad this coin can't get any support when there is a solid dev who has been around for many months working on ideas to make the coin useful.

The problem is we were reckless with our investments. Next time we try to create a new altcoin with an added feature, like adding a programming language on top of blockchain, we should take more control from the developers. The developers should be employees of us. You have to think of it as the public created Ethereum and it is ours. We control it.
Instead of giving money to people in exchange for a product, we should hire people for a certain time frame and end up getting what we get. We then need to figure out a plan to re-sign developers once the initial funds of gone. We need a way to dilute shares each year in order to pay for the next years bills. This would create an endless cycle or progress/work on the project. Computer programmers are notorious for going over budget and being late to deliver just like Ethereum did. The way Ethereum worked was not a good way. There should be no company. The public should be in control.
The developers should not be treated special. They should have to broadcast live all conference calls/discussions. The public should be able see any of the developers workstation screens.
Now that we have Ethereum. I think a lot of these new ideas I have proposed are more easily possible than before. We now have contracts where funds can be locked up and partially distributed to developers each day. This is getting pretty excited.

This attitude is what annoys me - as a web developer by profession - most. How comes that so many people are thinking that all we do is playing Tetris all day long, just because our work implies the usage of a computer? We use our fuckin brains to work, and it's as much work as any other kind of work is work, too. If you're working full time on a project, dedicating your time to it, and you have a fuckin family to feed at home. Would you accept any crypto currency to achieve that goal? Hell, I wouldn't even accept Bitcoin to make sure I have some food on the fuckin table at the end of each month. Do you find it hard to sell cryptocoins for fiat? It's pretty simple once you learn how to do it. The good thing about cryptocoins & businesses is that they are fully transparent. If Ethereum had paid everyone in cryptocoins then a computer script could produce all of the financial records. A computer could perform an automated audit on the finances every day. Everyone would know everything and we could see what went wrong. Vitalik is said to be a genius and knows everything about cryptocoins. He didn't use much of their record keeping abilities. He must be covering up something. |

Ethereum made it extremely hard to mine. You have to be a genius to mine this coin. You also can't rent miners for it yet. |

I thought the plan was to give these developers a huge 15% premine, in addition to a salary, so that they will want to continue to work on the project forever for free. It looks like we got screwed and they turned that 15% premine into a golden parachute. Cashed out and left us high and dry.
Next time we shouldn't invest in crowdsales of this structure. We better actually sign the developers from 3 to 7 year long contracts. That way we can sign them to a new contract if they perform well or we can fire them and hire knew people if they suck.
