Perhaps difficulty is stuck?
"difficulty" : 0.05493244, still after 40+ blocks?
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NEOC] NeoCortex - First Only NeoScrypt Algo Coin - RE-LAUNCH on: July 30, 2014, 02:26:11 AM
Does it readjust every 12 blocks like Monocle?
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NEOC] NeoCortex - First Only NeoScrypt Algo Coin - RE-LAUNCH on: July 30, 2014, 01:13:43 AM
What block is everyone on?
Something seems up with the block rate.

Edit:
Started working.

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04
 "blocks" : 5562,
    "currentblocksize" : 0,
    "currentblocktx" : 0,
    "difficulty" : 0.05493244,
    "errors" : "",
    "generate" : false,
    "genproclimit" : -1,
    "hashespersec" : 0,
    "networkhashps" : 810650,
    "pooledtx" : 0,
    "testnet" : false

Seems to be stuck on block 5562.
Deleted .neocortex folder, let it resync, and made it to  5563 and has stayed there

{
    "blocks" : 5563,

Is there a tutorial for standalone mining on Linux?

Thanks for the news!

Maybe if people stopped posting FUD every few minutes, the threads wouldn't be on the front page?
Troll post or not, each one keeps Monero in the spotlight.

Has there been any new CPU miners released in the past few weeks?
Yam and Wolf0's miner seem to be the best, but wondering if there were more or a higher hash rate branch.

How much are you withdrawing?
I found that 200 is about the limit.

Also until Stratum support is added, you will earn around 20% less than other pools from what I have tested.
The pool hash rate seems to include bad shares or something, as using the same hash rate on other pools gives much better payout.
However merged mining makes this right on the edge of breaking even, if you're lucky.

I got their official miner working, love the mining options.
Issue was with:

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of minergate-cli:
 minergate-cli depends on libqt5core5 | libqt5core5a; however:
  Package libqt5core5 is not installed.
  Package libqt5core5a is not installed.
 minergate-cli depends on libqt5network5; however:
  Package libqt5network5 is not installed.

To fix this, I just had to search online for a few days and try things until it worked.

git clone https://gitlab.com/amjuarez/bytecoin.git
Was the one that would look like it was hashing, but not really using much CPU and pool didn't get any valid shares, then again that has been over a week ago now maybe 2 since I last tried that one.

The official miner seems to get great speeds as well, comparable to other optimized miners.

Thanks for the reply.

I have no way of knowing, but if LTC takes off like BTC, then I'm sure any ASIC will be +ROI in under a year.
Beyond that, much better to buy coins when price is low or coin is brand new and dirt cheap, and have strong hands.

Lot of new energy efficient algo's you could fork to perhaps.

There was a huge buy today, and price has stayed around 50% higher than 2 days ago.
Now I'm starting to invest while it's so cheap compared to other CN coins.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: yam M7v support XMR/QCN/BCN/FCN on: July 05, 2014, 09:39:42 PM
my i7 970 overclocked to 4ghz which is a 6 core 12 thread processor gets around 250H/s on wolf cpuminer.

I tried yams this morning, but couldn't even get close to 200H/s, it stayed around 155H/s.  I'm not sure what I may be doing wrong.  Also, as a side note, hugepages is enabled and this cpu does support AES-NI

I seem to get higher hash with Wolf's as well, though only for hugepages on linux and AES-NI enabled in BIOS and on CPU.
Everything else Yam seems to win, especially for Windows.  Is setting the donation interval to 100 saying for each of my 100 shares, do 100 for dev?
I had it set on that and actually seemed to get a nice rate on minergate still.
Setting it to 50 didn't seem to make much difference.

I'm on Ubuntu 14.04 64bit

https://minergate.com/articles/cpuminer
when compiled, works, but doesn't actually do any hashing but will report locally that it is.
CPU load stays near 0, even if I spawn 8 instances of it, and then each hash per instance properly drops.
In short though, the above cpuminer doesn't work with Minergate for me[Pool reports no shares but miner online], yet works with other pools without any issue.
https://minergate.com/articles/simple-miner has a similar issue.

https://minergate.com/download/deb-cli
When installing this via dpkg, I get dependency issues I haven't seen before and have not been able to resolve them.
It's the first miner I've ran into that I simply can't get working.

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of minergate-cli:
 minergate-cli depends on libqt5core5 | libqt5core5a; however:
  Package libqt5core5 is not installed.
  Package libqt5core5a is not installed.
 minergate-cli depends on libqt5network5; however:
  Package libqt5network5 is not installed.

I tried the older versions:
https://minergate.com/download/cpuminer/ubuntu_13.10
For example, but what do I do with this file?
It's not a deb it seems, not a compressed archive.

Any update on this?
I just tried re-compiling both open source options and the Ubuntu 14 premade one and had the same issue.

Hi,

I'd like to mine QCN merged with MCN

using ccminer-cryptonight ( a ccminer mod by tsiv, GPU miner for nVidia)

what command line should I use?

I tried

ccminer -o stratum+tcp://mcn-qcn.pool.minergate.com:5567 -u 1QTzkHiFju128stiAcaRvPXA6kscCwKZv8gaqSeLZYxXDGk92WP7xk4FpzaXUCVdF64JND7xx4dundH qKu17fBDy1sgZCmQ -p x

but I'm getting
'stratum_recv_line failed' error

neither I could do MCN on it's own

ccminer -o stratum+tcp://mcn.pool.minergate.com:5564 -u VduzuMCpXSjfkiFszLJTgW1t335pHwMVi3SAZgdvLfJULnPeKpY3cuxTiUxshUymRVJL32nbPWsTD3N 9PZtw7JeW2dRRVd3DC -p x

same error

PLEASE HELP

Cut out
stratum+tcp://  [They do need stratum support though]
and use the email address you signed up with and not actual address.

Indeed be careful with laptops.
With that being said, I use a $600 gaming laptop, gets around 120hs using 4 of 8 HT cores.
Also has two 660Ms, though I only hash light stuff on them.
If you have cheap electric, you can grab a decent amount in a few months from mining! I bought it back before asics got so popular, and still run it on other algos.

I also keep two giant fans under the laptop and check temps all day, it's pretty easy on it, and energy efficient, around 270 watts at the wall max load which I rarely do.

The Windows CLI downloads don't seem to go anywhere either.
