781  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will this rise hold? on: June 15, 2016, 12:15:04 AM
All this is speculation and a waste of time. Price does what it does.

This is the speculation sub-forum...

Yes that person should be reported for off-topic posts and just in general low quality posting probably for their sign campaign. About the price, it has been rallying very quickly and so needs a few days to recover after each support line is broken upwards and people take profits. Whether the halving has a massive dump or not I don't know but if it does even the months after it the price will rise steadily.
782  Other / Archival / Re: The future of bitcoin... on: June 15, 2016, 12:13:07 AM
... Does not exist.

Looking through the recent pump scam. Please all remember that the price does not matter, the systems fundamentals do. Anything else is just hype.
Let's consider for a moment that the network is slowly stagnating as blocks reach their maximum size. Bitcoin still does not scale.

We have been promised 'everything will be fixed in time', this 'time' has long passed.

The community has been taken over by scammers, many developers have ran away to more promising projects, development in general has halted, mining has become centralized by the Chinese.

IF we want bitcoin to survive in one form or the other, we have to work together and address all its problems.

I want to propose a fork to address all the big issues in bitcoin, mainly scaleability, anonymity, speed and security.

Please send me a PM if you are a skilled experienced programmer or cryptography expert, also we will need people to promote the new fork but let's work on the actual fork first.

Let's show everyone how bitcoin was supposed to be right from the start.
I think somebody needs to put down the crazy doomsaying pills and look at everything. Some of the world's greatest developers are working on a fix for the block size. This can be expected in 6 months I feel like as they just had a conference on it. It's not a pump scam, the supply is going down by 50% and people are buying speculating on the change it will have.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: How to earn money with bitcoin ? on: June 15, 2016, 12:10:00 AM
For now the only legit and profitable is joining in signature campaign.
Do not invest 8n gambling sites or hype they are not profitable youll waste your bitcoin also your time. Just keep your bitcoin in your wallet and wait for the right time and sell it
I think investing in gambling sites still have the possibility to earn a profit. investment in the system is the gambling site you would make a profit when the house manang against players. you know that the system of gambling is the house will always win?  Cheesy

If the house always wins no matter what and can make money, then surely investing in the house and betting they will win which they always do will go good for you in the future. Just has to be a trusted one so they don't run off.
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: June 15, 2016, 12:09:03 AM
With the halving it's possible that from here on out Bitcoin supply will be low enough that it will rise slowly no matter what type of sell pressure happens. So some whales can dump their large stash but it doesn't matter because the supply is going down by half and the demand only increases.
785  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: June 15, 2016, 12:07:57 AM
I don't buy it to hold it. I buy it to use it for shopping or getting a gift card or something. I understand people like to buy it and speculate on it like a stock but that just isn't my thing and I find it silly and counter intuitive to how Bitcoin should be used.

787  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: June 14, 2016, 01:36:34 AM
So when are those delicious s9 hashes coming into the market? Maybe after the halving so Bitmain knows the business model and customers don't get mad if something wild happens?

Friday 17th
Any sources on this? This sounds really nice if it's true but I feel like this member is just randomly posting to trick us lol. I've searched for it recently to try and get news...
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 NBA Finals on: June 14, 2016, 01:31:54 AM
Warriors are going to win the title tonight!!! Back to back champions!

WArriors dont really need draymond since theyre at home and have Igoudala
They have home advantage but you'd be a fool to think they don't need Draymond! He was putting up BIG SCORES at home. He was on fire!!! Good luck to all teams and bettors involved.
789  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: June 14, 2016, 01:30:46 AM
Zombies zombies everywhere.

Please stop necroing threads from 2014 :S
The OP came in here and posted an update. Don't be such a grump LOL it was a huge news story at the time as the first house sold for Bitcoin. Can you think of a more legitimate use for Bitcoin THAN BUYING A HOUSE?!
790  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is starting to resemble late 2013 on: June 14, 2016, 01:27:34 AM
The climb to halving will be great. And then next thing you know after the halving there will be a massive sell off and then probably a bounce back up and stabilize. So get it will the getting is good.

Yeah, before halving there is always this great hype about the price, and since the price is partly psychology as well when people get hyped up they'll take more risks and pump up BTC price.

There may be a few adjustments along the way, but we'll get there eventually. Look, we've already achieved that $10 billion market cap!
Yep and it will still probably climb in my opinion. I don't think that a $1,000 USD bubble is out of the question. Obviously there will be corrections along the way in these next weeks but overall I'd say it's very bullish.
791  Economy / Services / Re: Make 0.03 BTC everyday from www.freebitco.in on: June 14, 2016, 01:24:21 AM
Its just a concern of luck in the end, A Risky situation as always. No guarantee that you will always have profit.
Those who do not want to lose their bitcoins on those strategies which are already in the market, skip this thread. Smiley

~Dr.Famous~
A good warning. While I'm risking $4 to test the alleged pocketdice method, I'm planning on losing it all. Even in the video the guy almost lost it all within minutes haha! If this method just worked all the time then there would be no way for casinos to make money

Over a year later still on the loose.
Yeah but isn't he in big trouble? I mean funding international terrorists is kind of a big deal to the US last time I checked. I haven't been following this thread for a long time so could somebody give me a quick update on his court proceedings and stuff?

It's on the OP - TL;DR, case suspended for 6 months ...

Thanks I looked at some of those documents but I couldn't really understand what it meant. Does that mean their case is running out of steam or what? No way can Garza get off the hook on this one...

No. Typically, it's so that they can either

1. Add more charges (Think Paycoin etc etc - the prior was just hashlets).
2. More ABC agencies filing charges, think FBI/HSI etc etc...

Either way, he will get his... Don't worry. Grin
haha Grin good to hear. What a scumbag. I remember being on the absolute best end of the stick. I only put $80 into hashlets to test them out and then weeks to a month later the Paycoin thing started. I sold my hashlets for $40 so Homero came out with a cool $40 from me -_-. Hardly can complain about that, though. This thread was literally flying at like 50 pages a day back then LOL
793  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will difficulty jump over 200 billion at block halving? on: June 14, 2016, 01:19:36 AM
And 2012 we were a mostly gpu network coins were around 8 to 12 usd.

So a small drop 10 to 15 % in 2012 is not surprising.

This 1/2 ing I see 18 to 30 percent drop.

But it will recover in August and September .

it is probably price-dependent.
at btc $450 you are probably right (18-30%)
at btc 677 maybe 10-15%
at btc 800 5% or less.

incidentally, in 2012 difficulty dropped not AT block size change, but 4 weeks later.
If the network drops 30% I'm basically all in at that point. It will usually take some time for people to know and accept that mining won't be profitable at their electricity rate and hardware anymore. So until then I only see it going up with the price.

I think some gear will come off.  I still think there are a lot of old machines running at cheap electricity.   But if we keep going up in USD value it might be less of a drop then I was expecting.   I was thinking it would be a pretty massive drop off of old gear and tons of good deals on older gear.   But price keeps skyrocketing.

Currently at 693 on coinbase and rising slowly.  If this keeps up it's hard to say what will be profitable still in a month.   I just hope it does not drop off.
Yeah it has the potential for price drop. But think of it as price drops the people mining also drops. As price rises more people can mine for profit. So in a sense it doesn't matter that much as long as there is some sort of market stability so we can calculate our ROI and stay on that path without adding months and months to it.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why premined altcoins are considered scam-coin? on: June 14, 2016, 01:17:14 AM
I want to avoid flame wars between this or that altcoin so invite everyone partecipate to this discussion to avoid any direct attack to a specific coin using only examples and argumentations.

I have noticed that the community pay much attention to the fact a coin is premined but i haven't clearly understand the reason why this is necessarly evil.

I have understood that if few people controls the largest part of the whole monetary base is very bad for all the rest of people, but I'm not sure this is directly related to premined.

-Suppose to have an altcoin A that is premined but there are tons of way to get much coins for free without mining.

-Suppose to have another altcoin B that isn't premined but is insanely hard to get some coins using mining for a common user that cannot use a cluster with huge hashrate that only few people or companies can have.

Assuming that both altcoins are limited to a fixed max amount of mineable coins.

What is the scientific reason that should lead me to consider the altcoin A scam and the altcoin B fair?

As a newbie on altcoin with no mining rig to speak of premine with give away caters to newbie like, people are more attracted to coins that are easy to get and the distribution is wide..
But then you have the dev which is only making money because he has the most of the coins...you will never have a chance because not only will people dump their giveaway but the dev will also sell his huge coin stash.
795  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: June 14, 2016, 01:12:07 AM
Cryptsy is done ,move over it. Buy those famous ICOs and try to get some money back. Look what happens with LSK. Look what will happen with WAves, and what will happen when RISE and DLISK. ICO is finished. BUY BUY BUY
LOL don't advise these poor people scammed by Cryptsy to invest what little they have left with ICO which are HUGE RISK. This will just put them further into a hole.

797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High bet amounts or low bet amounts? What is your style? on: June 14, 2016, 01:03:28 AM
Bitcoin is perfect for low bet amounts. Your 10 cents can be played with for hundreds of bets. This is something that was never possible and is a BIG TIME fun factor. Take 10 cents and play a slot machine for an hour Grin now that's fun haha.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of online gambling? on: June 14, 2016, 12:59:18 AM
Unlike any other payment processor that transaction fees for bitcoin ecosystem is always very less.
When we are in need of making frequent transactions to gambling bankroll, the bitcoin be the right choice to avoid big amount of money losing just in transaction fees.
Yeah on normal gambling websites you will lose a big part of your deposit just from transfering the money. How the world still allows this when Bitcoin around I don't know. It is the future of gambling.
Because of bitcoins gambling made easy and we don't need to pay for the big charges of the popular gambling sites in the world, we can play with even at a minimum of 0.0005 BTC for sports book and lesser than that with dice.
Micro betting like never before possible. You can take 5 cents and then make 100 bets with it! In what other casino can you do that with besides Bitcoin (or alts obviously but that is just a function of Bitcoin). It's crazy!!
799  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best Gambling sites in the internet right now? on: June 14, 2016, 12:56:22 AM
Dice is all about luck and there is no easy win. Almost all the established dice sites are same on the results. Just the GUI and ways of depositing and withdrawing are different. And the house edge might be a bit different. Otherwise you can aspect the same wining or losing risk on the dice site.
Yes all the math stays the same unless maybe 1% house edge difference. Which is not that much to even be noticeable often. So go to the trusted ones that have fast withdrawals. That's what you need to be most concerned with.
800  Economy / Services / Re: Make 0.03 BTC everyday from www.freebitco.in on: June 14, 2016, 12:45:17 AM
For all doubting thomas, I am giving out free a strategy that I use on www.pocketdice.io

Read the post to know how to get it.

My freebitco.in strategy is still working!!!
For anybody who is wondering, the pocketdice strategy video shows odds of 1.36x betting on the number being over 5 with a base of .0001 mbtc. On win it returns to base and on a loss it increases the bet by 1000%. He says to deposit at least 500,000 satoshi or 5mbtc. I've never tried something like this but I think I will give it a shot to see if it works long term and post my results here ok?
