781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Hybrid PoW/PoS | btcsuite Devs | Tons of New Features | Go on: January 23, 2016, 09:15:07 PM
I understand the speculation behind the price is needed but it is really hard to know how big the community will be behind the coin and how much support will be shown. The ideas are there, if the wallet is easy enough to use and development goes as planned then it is possible Decred could take a spot among on of the big coins. Something on the level of Dash could be really good but it will take a lot of work to get there.

where is the dev? why this coin is getting lower and lower.. need some good pump. need to fix some bugs

Do you think we do not know about this?  Smiley

Hello.

Could you give us, the community a small explanation on what is happening in the IEC front. I know the saying is that no news is good news but it would be nice to see what you guys are planing or how the development is going.
I think this project is still in the works because despite the lack of movement lately there hasn't been any major dumping. I expected the price to stay at these levels so all is ok on that front.

Quick Update

We are moving from Slack to Telegram

Joined Telegram group, i have to say telegram is fast especially when you are using smartphones but im pretty sure the difference is noticeable on slower systems also. I have been buying SCRT from 1k sats so i have to say the profit is already really nice and it seems to be only getting better. I cant wait to see what kind of games they came up with, if even one of them gets popular then SCRT will have a bright future ahead of it because the mobile market is ever growing.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ PandaCoin [PND] ★★★ New devs, old community ★ 100,000 PND burned every day on: January 23, 2016, 07:50:02 PM
yesterday's volume of  pandacoin  0.5 BTC
Current volume pandacoin  0.1 BTC

I really liked the 0.5 BTC volume, this is the way we get things moving (For some reason i think most of it was done by one person tho, but no way to be sure). BTW if someone doesn't know: YoBit doesn't show the current daily volume well. If there is anything above 10k in trades it will already show the volume as 0.1 BTC. Really bad for showing low volume but that is the way it currently is.
Once that 0.5 BTC volume happened, roughly the same was added to the 1sat sell wall. Seems people really want to sell their coins.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official] Developments & Discussions on: January 23, 2016, 07:45:27 PM
http://www.cannabiscup.com/denver/

I heard a rumor Cannabis coin is going to be here. Should spike up price for sure

Unless we get some really hard proof that they actually will be going there not much will happen. Things have been way too quiet for way too long, some really good news is needed to push the price up. It has happened before so i am not saying it can not happen but given how slow it has lately been it is pretty unlikely. If you like gambling it could be good time to buy some because if we would ever see a pump again above 10k it would be a hell of a ride!
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★ [PRE-ANN] ???COIN [???] ★ Launch on Bitcoin block halving date ★ on: January 23, 2016, 07:36:36 PM
We decided to launch new coin on Bitcoin block halving date. (ETA 17. July 2016.)
Launch will happen when block 420000 hit Bitcoin network.

Coin swap distribution will start 2 or 3 months before coin launch,
so everyone have enough time to accumulate and stake PandaCoins

PandaCoin can be traded on folowing exchanges:
https://yobit.net/en/trade/PND/BTC
https://bleutrade.com/exchange/PND/BTC
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange
https://bx.in.th/BTC/PND/

Plenty of time to go till the new coin is coming out so anyone interested can buy more for cheap and keep staking more. As i heard the burning is also in progress and more will be done to reduce the supply (therefore reducing the supply and increasing the potential value of the new coin). 2-3 months should be plenty of time to get everything ready before the launch and give everyone a fair opportunity to get any coins they want. I really hope the same exchange accept the new swap coin and maybe we can even get some bigger exchanges to join.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRYPT] CryptCoin - [20 DEC] - ANNOUNCING CRYPTWALLET !! on: January 23, 2016, 07:21:02 PM
Nice little pump on bittrex  Grin Grin  The rocket Crypt  is being prepared for launch  Cheesy

P.S there is no more cheap coins 4 me ? Sad

Sure looks like it. This coin has gone through some rough patches but it was never forgotten. I own a bit of CRYPT and i have been keeping an eye on the market for most of the time, buying when it is cheap. There are quite a few people who have been accumulating CRYPT and i am pretty sure we will see a move up at some point. It might not happen yet but it is pretty certain that it will happen somewhere in 2016, till then its a good time to get some more and keep on staking.

Funny thing is that you did not even take the time to really change anything. Do you really think it is worth it for you to keep messing around like this and that people will fall for it endlessly (a few sheep always will but thats that). The "mine-treasure" or what ever it was had a pretty nice site actually, it could have made you and people involved a lot more money than it currently did. You could have ran the game instead of just scamming people because as you saw, you had support.
789  Economy / Gambling / Re: My 5 (Low risk) Tennis Prediction on: January 23, 2016, 06:46:10 PM
24 January
Australian Open Men's single
1. Novak Djokovic vs Gilles Simon : Novak Djokovic (1.347)
2. David Goffin vs Roger Federer : Roger Federer (1.518)

Australian Open Women's single
1. Margarita Gasparyan vs Serena Williams : Serena Williams (1.220)
2. Anna-Lena Friedsam vs Agnieszka Radwanska : Agnieszka Radwanska (1.285)
3. Maria Sharapova vs Belinda Bencic : Maria Sharapova (1.164)

Total Profit on 100% result = 1.534
Least possible profit on 1 loss = 0.016

I will keep an eye on the predictions you post here, even if i dont use them it is still good to compare them to the picks i make myself Tongue As for the ones you posted right now, i would have pretty much taken the same ones, pretty hard to argue against picking them. Could you also please post the sites you make the bets on so that we could get roughly the same odds. Do you use BTC sites or fiat sites ?
790  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unique Gambling Game on: January 23, 2016, 06:37:13 PM
Hey!

I've been thinking about setting up a gambling site. Hiring the developers and making something really unique.

I'm just out of ideas. I was wondering if you would have any ideas about gambling sites I could do? Mostly looking for something really unique, which functions well.

Thanks

UPDATED! Changed what I want slightly! Please check page 3 post 2 for more info.

I would be interested in a game that has a small skill element, it would be very hard to implement and still keep it provably fair + profitable for the house. Starting with a single game can be the best way to go, especially if you dont have a big budget and if your dev team is inexperienced (or new). As for how much capital you need, i would say not that much actually. Especially if you plan to do games with low minimum bets. A few BTC would suffice actually. To start off, even something like 5 would be plenty.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: January 23, 2016, 05:39:55 PM
It really depends on the religion that you follow. I do believe that most religions say gambling (or activities that have the same effect) are considered sin and should not be done. If you wish to follow those beliefs then yes, gambling is a sin. If you however are not religious then it is up to you to decide is it a sin or not. I personally believe that gambling is not a sin, its just a form of entertainment that has a risk and gain factor.

And finnaly, after two days delay, we burn first 100,000 Pandacoins  Smiley

https://bchain.info/PND/addr/P8bB9yPr3vVByqfmM5KXftyGckAtAdu6f8

Burning address: P8bB9yPr3vVByqfmM5KXftyGckAtAdu6f8
Address hash: 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Amount burned: 100,000 PND
Transaction ID: 86be244904be68c9e5638894928559b1b066a87001e4d79f2e10579203fcfe03

Address generated by:
http://earlz.net/view/2014/10/22/0340/provably-spendable-altcoin-burn-addresses

We will continue to burn 100,000 PND every day, for 10 days period, or longer

Thank you for posting this. It will help to reduce the supply a bit and shows that the burn addresses really exist. It is still just a small step but a necessary one. Market has also been silent now but it is expected as BTC is taking most of the volume with its volatility. Good time for trading.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Hybrid PoW/PoS | btcsuite Devs | Tons of New Features | Go on: January 16, 2016, 05:45:52 PM
so considering cpu mining is pointless and MRR doesn't have Blake256 rentals available and most of us dont have fpga's and gpu's and fpgpugpa's, anyone know a way we can get into the mining phase of this coin.

Crypto experts say:Whenever a good project is out, don't mine.Just buy.
Crypto experts must be dumb then. if you get in early enough all mining plays more profitable than buying.
Crypto experts also say if you don't even know how to get hashing power nor have the tools needed, then there is no need to try mine it, just buy.

Looks like just a bit to go till airdrop applications end. Will you reveal how many signed up in the end ?
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Hybrid PoW/PoS | btcsuite Devs | Tons of New Features | Go on: January 16, 2016, 01:37:01 PM
Simple GPU miner - A simple AMD GPU miner that connects to a local daemon will be available before launch. In the future, proper getblocktemplate functionality will be enabled and pool software will be made available.

@decred, I would like to get some detailed clarification about mining.

First of all, why a new miner and why not support for pooled mining from the beginning?

There are already GPU miners available:

For AMD GPUs:

https://github.com/Griffitsj/cgminer-saffron/

Code:
cgminer --blake256 -o stratum+tcp://...

p.s.: this should be migrated to the newer sgminer, otherwise it's just fine

For NVIDIA GPUs:

https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer or https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer

Code:
ccminer.exe -a blake -o stratum+tcp://...

These two miners implements Blake256 algo with 14 rounds, the same as Decred is using. So mining software is already here, why not simply use it? Are you planing to make any changes in the algorithm (if yes, why?)? Or will these miners be able to mine on Decred out-of-the-box once pools are out? Also, are you planning to go some non-standard way or will Decred be fully compatible with the standard stratum protocol for pooled mining?

Thanks for the answers!

Still no clarification on this? People are asking about mining and it is still unclear weather existing cgminers/ccminers will be compatible with mining Decred.

So many questions regarding mining, supported miners, etc. and still no clarification. After all, this is a POW + POS currency, therefore mining should be well covered. Not good.

I am pretty sure detail will start once the airdrop registration will end so in 1.5 days or so. I am also looking forward to more details about the coin, also on the POS side of it. I am also pretty sure that not everyone is techsavvy so a simple explanation would also be nice. Something everyone can understand without a wall of text.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A Cryptsy Opinion [Poll Added] on: January 16, 2016, 01:29:59 PM
I went with the only real option in that list and that is the first one. In reality most likely the "hacker" will never be found as it is most likely vern himself. I hope he at least looses in court and will have to pay back everything lost + does jail time. Maybe it will then serve as a warning for other exchanges.

The API is now in a closed staff-only beta, regular users will be granted access once I've completed proper documentation, this should be done within the next 24 - 48 hours.

Oh the API is pretty close to coming out then. I hope the closed beta goes without bigger issues and setbacks so the API becomes available for the users also. Would be nice to get some bots up for betting.
Had a look at the invest profit, really nice profits!
798  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hello. I m mikomi1 user Thecoin.net I did deposited on: January 15, 2016, 07:14:53 PM
Is the website you deposited to http://thecoin.net ? If so, then you're out of luck.

If it's another website, let us know.

I am pretty sure the OP means https://thecoins.net/
OP i think there have been other threads about thecoins.net and the withdrawals from there can take a long time (and might not even happe). There have however been cases where the users have been payd so the chance to get your funds is still there.

Bitcoin has 'failed,' says one of its most prominent developers.... Extremely interesting

http://www.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-has-failed-says-developer-mike-hearn-xt-censorship-2016-1?r=UK&IR=T

"It has failed because the community has failed." - Mike says.

Its not true, community is bigger and bigger every day and there is
a lot of people who need to discover world of cryptocurrencies

One of the main problem is that bitcoin and blockchain technology is
a bit complicated for non-technical users, so they are sceptic about whole system.

Also, one of the problem for bitcoin growth is that you need internet connection to
process bitcoin transactions, and less than 40% of world population have internet access.
Many people from 3rd world countries dont have internet or have a very bad connection.

But good thing is that internet grow every day.
The number of internet users has increased tenfold from 1999 to 2013.

You have missed the point. The writer of the article isn't some nobody. He was one of the more prominent developers. Did you even read the article?!

The main point is that Mike made a proposal for Bitcoin XT. Then there was a vote to fork Bitcoin into Bitcoin XT, the community stepped up and did not support him (there were backdoors in scrypt, ability to blacklist addresses and more, making btc centralized). When he failed he got butthurt because the hit on his ego was too big. SO he left, nothing more nothing less.

Does BTC need some changes ? It sure does. But this has nothing to do with why he left, him leaving was a bruised ego.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~ ON CNBC ~ Twitch.tv ~ ShapeShift.io ~RPG + More! on: January 15, 2016, 03:55:38 PM
Awesome!  0.00004000 BTC (57.46 %)   Shocked

Great coin, great community.  I still think we could come up
with a better coin image than the 3 i have seen so far.
Actually, I now see that it does in fact say "Hyper" on my
desktop coin image, but i can barely see it.  Make all the
letters black maybe?

It is nice to see the price recovering. HYPER is a stable investment, well at least for me because i got in such a long time ago (even lower than this) and i have been staking ever since. Selling at highs and buying at lows Smiley
The fact that HyperFuture is back is really showing in the price.

I agree with you mate. As far as I have seen, Hyper has maintained a stable price whereas other alts are extremely volatile. A good community and great features make it a great gaming cryptocurrency. Still, I think we should need more games for Hyper, don't you think? I have been promoting Hyper in the Steam forums with the hopes of getting its attention from game developers.  Grin

It is a nice coin and the 5% POS is perfect for it. I think HyperFuture mentioned that new games are coming for HYPER but i don't think he told what games those would be. Spreading word in the Steam forums can be good for exposure for sure as both devs and players visit them and they are the main target audience.
