781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: February 19, 2019, 12:02:15 PM
My thought is that bitcoin needs to be regulated! Regulations will bring the confidence of institutional investors on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.  The scamming activities will be reduced if bitcoin is regulated and monitor by the governments.
I think so, I hope many users support this, this is the first step for crypto exploration. in fact people are reluctant to use crypto if the government prohibits it? the government has a big influence. so regulation is very useful and needed for bitcoin
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On merchants not willing to accept crypto on: February 19, 2019, 11:58:14 AM
There is no need to pay in bitcoin in China. In China, our daily life is usually very convenient (Alipay) and (WeChat payment). If you want to pay Bitcoin, there will be one more procedure. As you all know, one more formalities, one more trouble.
Have you remember a Chinese government effort to force its people to use Baidu to leave Google? has it succeeded? I do think not, Chinese people still use Google instead of Baidu. I guess this is the same as bitcoin now, you can use bitcoin even though the Chinese government provides many procedures to do it.
The point is people will use what they think is more comfortable, Chinese people prefer Google because it is easier and wider network. so is bitcoin, which covers the entire world. I'm sure bitcoin will be increasingly used even though some countries and merchants still reject it
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The used of Bitcoin in Africa on: February 17, 2019, 09:49:38 AM
Quote
In Nigeria, I am yet to see any shop accepting Bitcoin for payment. One has to exchange bitcoin first into fiat before any payment for goods and services.

This is truth, I think the issue is partly because of the lack of support from the apex bank governor Godwin Emefiele. He has been very critical of the bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies, instead of educating the public about what it's all about, he keeps saying it's a form of gambling. I believe he is been bribed by bank owners in other to keep customers under check.
Yeah I understand that, the spread of bitcoin will also depend on your technological and economic development too. in Asian countries there are still many countries that have not been touched by blockchain technology, especially Africa which is still very lagging behind, no offense
784  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why many traders(including me) not getting success on: February 17, 2019, 09:46:21 AM
even though we see a lot of videos read books and know that if we do this, we will be profitable but at last we do same mistakes and lose what could be the reason
1) practice and experience
2) with fear of losing or missing profits we just f*** our trades
3) patients
4) or what other reasons could be?Huh?? please comment
Maybe because of FOMO, even the worst trading isn't your skill, I mean if you keep repeating the same mistakes repeatedly then I suggest switching to stock trading or to another field, ok if 1 to 3 times you repeat mistakes and learn from them, but if more than that, chances are you don't have expertise in that field.
Because trading using these skills means not all people are suitable for this method. so when you try, learn from experience and theory but the results are still a loss, meaning that there is something wrong with you, whether it's your learning method, strategy technique, or your patience?
because in trading it is not easy and requires a good strategy and must have great patience, because it is the first key if you want to succeed if my advice is also
Thats true, many people have good strategies and knowledge, but they forget that patience is important in trading too, patient about waiting for prices to rise, patience to wait for opportunities to buy, patience to succeed, you will very need that too dude.
785  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to go for 10,000% plus profits in 2019? on: February 17, 2019, 09:44:50 AM
In terms of returns what digital currencies do you predict are in the running for a podium finish in 2019?
Top coins but not specific, since every coins have the potential to pump high this year but 10,000% profit is not possible even if its bitcoin. Try to invest without expecting any return like this because you might be disappointed. New coins can go as high as 100% increase on their value but very few of them succeed on that one.
within a period of one year, I'm not sure that the coins in cryptocurrency can achieve such high price changes.
except for small coins that occur in price manipulation. for top coins, prices may increase several fold in one year, but not that high
786  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Intraday vs HODL on: February 17, 2019, 04:03:43 AM
I dont recommend to anyone to HODL except 2-3 coins BTC, ETH, and XRP. Maybe 10 biggest marketcap coins/tokens. You can trade or invest for short term to the alts (small caps) but never HODL an alt

Holding bitcoin, ethereum, ripple will be a good decision although there are many more coins that will potential to increase. But if he wants to trade daily, then the altcoin will be a good choice because with so many altcoins that might increase soon, he can buy at least with top 10 list from coinmarketcap to make daily trade so he can have a chance to get better profit and he can also make another profit from the long-term investment.
Agree, For coin in the top marketcaps of course the life span can still be long, because the development is still running. so it's not a problem to holding in that coin, but for a small altcoin, which is not famous. it is certainly very risky if you hold it, maybe it's better if you just trade it
787  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - Can it boost or break a countries economy? on: February 17, 2019, 03:26:47 AM
I think that cryptocurrency is a very unpredictable thing for the economy. All attempts to predict the outcome of the introduction of Bitcoin in everyday life will only lead to speculation. Nobody knows how Bitcoin will affect the economy. My assumption that Bitcoin will reduce the circulation of money in national currencies, thereby weakening the influence of governments in the economic sphere.
Nope. I think the effect is not unpredictable, even you get financial benefits from bitcoin right? from a small example, an investor must have the opportunity to profit, if the amount of users is large it will certainly affect the country's economy right?
788  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin must come back to its original use - currency ! on: February 17, 2019, 03:19:50 AM
I'd love to use my Bitcoi. But then again, utility companies don't accept bitcoins, groceries haven't heard of bitcoins even my insurances don't give a damn about it. I mean yeah internet related transactions are good but I don't have any transactions over on the internet. But like any other fiat, you can always invest on them.
This is going to be the case for some time but I really think that things are going to change in the next years and decades, adoption is not something that you can force out of people, they do not see the reason for adopting bitcoin yet but they are going to see it in the future when there is an economic crisis and they understand it was because of fiat currency.
Yeah adoption will continue to happen, and you can't use someone to use bitcoin for currency. in fact bitcoin can be used for many things, and that's good because it's multi-tasking. so the point is no need to make a fuss about using bitcoin, because everyone is free to use bitcoin for anything
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: February 17, 2019, 03:12:21 AM
In most cases if you are trying your loses you will end up losing more and not just only in gambling but the same thing happened in trading crypto currency and Forex. All this happened because may gamblers and traders don't have or follow their money management policy because they are to emotional about their money.
I think it happens when they lose control or become addicts, they will spend their minds, their money, their energy, to achieve impossible goals in gambling, such as recovering losses, getting rich, or something like that. addiction will eat brain and your money
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits from Gambling on: February 17, 2019, 03:02:08 AM
What an interesting post. What interests me the most is the part about gambling benefitting the mind. I also like that it calms you down.
I guess if your gamblings is based on chance and not  require skills it won't benefit the mind very much

Gambling do have disadvantages and advantages it can really relief the mind but it can also affect emotions especially when you are losing. Thats why you should be prepared to lost money for the benefit of entainment..
I think when your goal is to gain the benefits of happiness, then your losses in financial terms will not be ignored, because you focus on having fun. yeah everyone has their own purpose in gambling, and I'm happy to be able to gain profit from the happiness I get
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favoritism vs Addiction on: February 17, 2019, 03:00:28 AM
Being addicted is not fun anymore, you are just wasting your money and worst is your life.

Guess not, it's fun mate that's why poeple are getting addicted to any forms of games. They're having fun for they know it can give them what they want, but most of the times now, people whose addicted are just trying to get what they have lost in the first place.

But still, I know it's fun even if you're already addicted on playing.
I don't really know whether the feelings of people who become addicts are always the same or not? For me, when I become an addict, there is no pleasure that I feel, because what I think is just pressure to win and profit, then you come back again to play continuously and continuously, there is no fun in being addicted. the game is fun, but when you turn into an addict Your goal will be different
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how to promote the cryptocurrency. on: February 16, 2019, 03:06:59 AM
All sort of social media platforms

*facebook
*twitter
*Instagram
*Pinterest
*Youtube

As in all of them will help reach their certain customer targets. Good thing is that there's a metric for these social media and they know on whom to show those paid ads except for FB.

If you do it very actively, they will think that it is a scam. I suppose it is better to show your own positive result to your buddies. Then, they will also start to buy cryptocurrencies.

I think we can give some links to useful websites so they can read about cryptocurrency and they will come back to us and ask something they don't understand. But if we only give the link without giving a short explanation, they will confused and skip of whatever we add in the social media. Don't just gives the proof that you can get money from crypto because they will not attracted and they need some explanation, and that is a way to make them curious with cryptocurrency.
I don't think so, actually promoting it actively will reach more people. Of course you have to spread it in another group. Social media is the right target for promotion, and don't forget to give referrals on every link that you spread, that is your incentive
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Cryptocurrency Should You Still Have In 2019 on: February 16, 2019, 03:02:18 AM
There are currently at least 1,200 different types of coins as listed on Coinmarketcap. Which one will prevail? Or rather, which group of coins will survive for the long term. What coin/token should you have now for the year 2019?
I don't know a lot more currency like that you are mentioned that 1,200 currency still remains holded by lots of people definitely they need to get there Rocket in this year otherwise the total market will definitely be collapse.
Indeed, there are thousands of coins on the market, and there are dozens of projects that will arrive in crypto. but certainly not everything is worthed to buy right? not all coins are potential right? I prefer coins that are in the top marketcaps to have. I'm sure the coin will go up when the trend changes
794  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says 79% of cryptocurrency event attendees are men on: February 16, 2019, 02:54:46 AM
Maybe that is why cryptocurrencies has not gone mainstream as women are good in promoting something like this more than men.  I think we should encourage women in our area to embrace cryptocurrencies as this is the best way to promote it.
I guess I belong to them, I already encouraged. Well, it is because men are more interested in these kinds of things compared to women. 70% of women focuses on cosmetics and facial stuff. (ain't belong Wink) That's their thing though. It's more of men wants to get things done by themselves and women to tend to depend on men alphas. But as of now, women can do the job of men as well it almost equal when it comes that matter.
Thats true, because basically only men have the passion to work online, most women don't have an idea about it. but in my opinion because of the existence of women's emancipation, and the widespread spread of crypto, the growth of female users will certainly continue to grow
795  Economy / Economics / Re: Can my economy be fulfilled in the future with Bitcoin? on: February 16, 2019, 02:49:20 AM
Yes, we can save bitcoin, exchange it with fiat, or buy something with Bitcoin. so our economy can all be fulfilled by using bitcoin.
But of course the use of bitcoin is still within certain limits, of course you can't use bitcoin like using fiat freely, buying anything with
fiat. but economically or income, bitcoin can meet or fullfilled your economic needs
796  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxes and regulations on: February 16, 2019, 02:47:12 AM
I think that you can not take cryptocurrency as "property". This is extremely not reasonable. Cryptocurrencies are digital currency, money, and imposing a tax on money is accordingly silly.

As of now, governments consider cryptocurrency as "digital assets" that being used in investment. These digital assets are like gold where prices fluctuates based on speculations. These digital coins can be classified as property. Though we know that this is not the real purpose of the coins. The question is when can we consider these coins as currency? As soon as the application of the blockchain go mainstream.
Actually without even mentioning crypto as a currency, you can still use crypto as a currency right? the government can say it is a digital asset, but the most important thing is legalization right? so you can use bitcoin to pay for anything without fear of a ban
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dead coins... on: February 16, 2019, 02:29:35 AM
What makes a coin dead? I would say when it has no active nodes, no trading volume and no development, in that order. Anyone have a different definition?
My second question, why does CMC still list these coins!?!?!?

a coin dead because there is no developments inside the coin or project my friend
and no trading activity on exchange,,
as i know cmc already remove few dead altcoins buddy
Yeah when the development is no longer visible, the user community is small, marketcaps don't move, just waiting for the time until that coin dies. most of them are small coins. almost every month there are coins that are delisted and then dead

Small coins that are worthless and will eventually be removed, I also keep dead coins that have been abandoned by the developer, this is indeed very painful but there is nothing that can be done. Only as a display and become rubbed ashes.
I think it's much better if you sell before the coin is removed from the exchange, of course you can do something for prevention.
there is no need to save or keep the small coins that will die, better sell them when you still have the chance
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If... on: February 16, 2019, 02:09:15 AM
I would try to make me realized how bad is gambling addiction and try to leave the gambling addiction. I think I would be able to make me realized the situation and was able to leave it. So, no worries for me.
it's a good choice, usually people who hear bad effects, like poor or something else then the player will think twice to play, and it's worthed to stop in addiction, I won't discuss it with my partner or my wife, because it's embarrassing, and I won't discuss for how I play again
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing casino games online a good idea? on: February 16, 2019, 02:06:03 AM

800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Is Your Worst Moment in Gambling? on: February 16, 2019, 01:58:06 AM
I don’t have any one individual, horrifyingly bad moment in gambling as I only bet with what I can afford to lose but over the years I am definitely at losses.

This is the sad and real part of gambling that majority end up in losses only . It will effect to those who gamble just to make money and those who play for fun would not really worry much if they are in their limits making the game a enjoyable experience .
A bad experience for a long time frame, I don’t also have major loses or bad experience but if you will summarize all your gambling history, you will see there the bad effects of gambling. I know someone who got broke because of gambling, that is the possible worst situation if we continue to gamble.
If you recap all of your gambling history, of course you will find something astonishing, yeah most of them do suffer huge losses.
but the point is gambling is not about loss, but about how you feel and enjoy the game
