781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why doesn't traditional technical analysis work in the crypto market? on: August 20, 2018, 05:30:36 PM

There are two main methods used to analyze potential investment choices in stock and to and make investment decisions: fundamental analysis and technical analysis. Technical analysis is favoured by many statisticians and financial gurus, mainly if you are looking at speculation. It seems from its various characteristics that TA could fare well in this crypto space, but how come a majority of models I have seen have been abysmal in detecting some trends in the cryptosphere?
I think it is not exactly correct to say TA have been abysmal in detecting trends in the cryptocurrency market, because the comparison with the stock and forex markets seem not to take into cognizance the fact that the cryptomarket is not only young and still evolving, but far less capitalized than anyone of them, thereby making it easily influenced by the slightest strong beat in the ecosystem. With time and much more adoption by the masses especially business owners, I think the accuracy of the predictions looks good to improve.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buying at the dip on: August 20, 2018, 05:00:04 PM
Stellar and Monero is on sale too.
and, perhaps in ETH
I'll put bigger part for ETH than the other coins..
Same goes with me, because the pace of the leader is what determines the pace of the team. If altcoins are going to have a major come back, the impact would no doubt first be hugely felt in ETH than any other altcoin. Beyond that, I would stay with EOS and NEO.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum price now under 300$ !!!! on: August 20, 2018, 04:40:56 PM
indeed eth is now going down and making a lot of people panic and starting to question how the future of eth will be, but in my opinion this is the right time to invest, and hold as hard as possible and I still believe in eth
Yeah mate, this decrease of ethereum price is normal so people shouldn't panic about this decrease, as you said this time is the best time to invest and holding ethereum, ethereum is very strong like bitcoin, just believe in it and that's all.
Don't risk a punch in the face by telling someone with a pile of ETH that the recent decrease in price is normal and nothing to panic about! For a new investor or someone with extra cash, this is an opportunity to buy at cheap rates and it may not last long.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge tokens during Bounties on: August 20, 2018, 04:16:34 PM
Amount of token does not matter but the price of token does matter. The factor which is responsible for  distribution amount is "taken available for public/bounty". ICO price is another factor.
For example in parsec frontiers bounty ICO price is 1ETH=13000000 PRSC token.
I must say, after all the factors you highlighted above, amount of token becomes very significant! As for ending up with huge tokens, there are people, who would go after nearly all the campaigns a bounty has to offer and that's some hard work and they're few.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Crying about Crypto! on: August 20, 2018, 04:01:30 PM
There are two kind of people. The first one is crying about situation on market, because all their money in cryptocurrencies. And another part is buying everything with large discount. The question is who are you.
I think one can double as these two persons. First, he is the one crying about his loses, because it is hard to find someone who goes celebrating, when they are neck deep in loss. Second is same person that became the wiser after coming to terms with the reasons behind their loses and moving on not to have them repeated.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still HODL? on: August 20, 2018, 03:37:33 PM
Right now is a tough time for anybody holding tokens. The HODL strategies put into effect a mere 3 months ago have cost portfolios a huge % loss in value...
I myself have witnessed thousands upon thousands in value destruction. Hrmmm, but what to do now?

Although I have watched, slowly and painfully, tokens descend in value equivalent to a brand new Cadillac down to a value where I cant even sell them for a used 1980s Ford where the bumper falls off...

Instead, I opted to HODL… But the question remains...
Should one effectively Sell-Out and take that broke down ford valuation now?
OR.
Does one still HODL and dream of Lambos full of Women and cocaine?

I don't think that the one who still HODL dreams of Lambos full of Women and cocaine.
Instead, he's nervous, he wants his position to get back in +, but that's a hard thing to be done.
You're right and many are afraid of telling themselves the truth that by resigning their fate to that of hoping against hope, their ride have shifted to the bumpy and very dusty roads. The vehicles that ever came out those roads are lining the garages. Living a nervous and on edge life, is a thing to avoid at all cost.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it secure to use MyEtherWallet? on: August 20, 2018, 03:01:41 PM
I want to create new wallet using MyEtherWallet(dot)com, is it recommended wallet and easy to use?

There is no wallet which is SECURED one.

All the wallets are one and the same and having the same principle of working. They get unlocked with either pass phrase, private keys and keystone file. I guess if you loose them then you loose access to the wallet. If you get phished from external source then you can get hacked easily.

Now these all wallets are online and prone to such things. They are secure if you are keeping everything safe.

Hardware could be the thing you should checkout. - Research it.
To an extent, you're right about online wallets, MEW however also offers an offline version so as long as you don't eventually hook it up to the internet, you won't have to bother much about getting hacked. Also advanced features like UTC file, MetaMask, etc are put in place to provide extra security measures and they sum up why the user base have remained on the increase.

The safest measure however remains to never turn an online wallet or exchange into your bank.
788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: August 20, 2018, 02:14:14 PM
I will never be able to calm down if the coin price at the exchange place falls because it can make me lose a lot and lose the assets that I have. I better secure assets by selling them even at low prices.

In my opinion this is a bad strategy, selling at a low price or cut loss, I prefer to wait to get profit rather than have to cut loss so that when the market drop then be patient is more profitable.
Is it like there is a guarantee that price would always come back up and if so, how calm would a trader that bought Bitcoin at $19000 or Ether at $1400 couple of months ago be feeling at the moment? Times change and so do people, right now I would recommend HODL only to people with deep pockets, those who can write off their loses without drunk-driving.

790  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is profitable coin? on: August 14, 2018, 07:02:40 PM
In the present situation of the market it is impossible to say which coin profitable but one thing i can say people who are buying Bitcoin at this price will be in profit, so it is impossible to predict which coin is profitable and which coin is not. We have to move according to the market situation but for ETH, Bitcoin, NEO, Tron, EOS etc.
Typically any coin/token can be profitable depending on the information a trader have on it and then, their trading skills. In view of that, talks about rallying round the 10 - 20 most capitalized coins are off-shots of the knowledge that the most capitalized coins will also be the most liquid coins!
791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: August 14, 2018, 05:16:45 PM
One strategy that works best in times of fall in the market is to remain calm, and not allow yourself to be blown by panic. Just hold the tokens with large caps and even if possible, buy more tokens and hold. For some coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, it is always certain that whenever there is a fall, there is definitely going to be a rise.

What will you do when the market falls?

This is definitely true and effective. But only for coins thay has a big potential. If not better to sell it or else get nothing from the coin. Today the prices are still low the difficult thing is when we become trap in a situation that we need money in times of crash/dump. How can we remain calm ? We have no choice but to cut our losses
Put in another way, you only stay calm in a failing market, if you have a deep understanding of the coin you're trading and the very reason why it's failing. Other than that, the damage is often quite devastating as the market usually remain irrational longer than many traders can stay liquidated.
792  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: August 11, 2018, 06:50:03 PM
Laundering money using bitcoin is the most freedom we are enjoying from crypto currency because it is not check by any government or controlled by their authority. It may sound very bad but this the freedom we are getting from investing in cryptocurrency using bitcoin.
You're grossly in error to think the governments are looking the other way or lacking in the mechanisms or structures to keep tabs and magnifying glasses on the Bitcoin market. On the surface, might not seem obvious, but when the need arises, tracing the person behind a transaction or an address is no longer the big deal it used to be.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Stock Exchange will launch ( Owner of NYSE) on: August 11, 2018, 12:10:11 PM
This is a great news and also, a sad one! On one side of this double-edged sword, we're sure going to experience increase in demand, adoption and price. On the other side however, we would have attended and handed over the hands of our ebullient Bitcoin in marriage to a tyrant, who is sure to attempt to clip its wings.

The later is the exact picture the authorities and all those, who have been ill-at-ease over Bitcoin unprecedented feats, must have been nursing in their minds. They may be tempted to want to raise their glasses, but that would be their underestimation and ignorance of the revolution Bitcoin and its technology already put in place.
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's killing bitcoin right now is that the demand is not real (we need Japan.) on: August 10, 2018, 07:54:36 PM
not fake demand, but the real demand of the public who do not get a response from both the government and the world, so they choose to reject bitcoin. the reality is that demand is always increasing every day.

The publicity of bitcoin is increasing but not necessarily the demand. The demand is probably quite stagnant right now(most likely not in an upward trend) as there's more fear than hope currently, compared to late last year when everyone was thinking of lambos and crap.
A pointer in the direction you highlighted above is the fact that by this time last year, we were not daunted with half as many distracting altcoins as is today and the token frenzy was indeed not this maddening! It's a fact that there are a significant number of people that are eking to relive the 2013-2017 Bitcoin euphoria now in altcoins/tokens and that's unarguably where the supposed demand for Bitcoin gets short changed. Nevertheless the demand for Bitcoin is everything but stagnant.
795  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is mining in Venezuela illegal? on: August 10, 2018, 06:55:47 PM
It’s not illegal actually. Here bitcoin is the large contribution by the citizens of the country’s GDP. This country with world’s highest inflation rate and strict control of currency; people get btc as their safe alternative for savings.
It is not Bitcoin par se or the legality of cryptocurrency that is the bone of contention in Venezuela, but the mining of it, which without any doubt raises some concerns, as that is sure going to be huge drain pipes on the country's heavily-subsidized electricity. Beyond that, the country can be said to be upbeat about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency and the laws are yet in place.

I can't withdraw my balance, can you please explain to me why?
My current balance is 0.001.

Thanks.

If you do have 0.001 you can surely withdraw, how do you mean you can't withdraw?
Send me your username..

Thanks
Withdrawal fee of 0.000575 BTC, is indeed on the high side and cant actually be a disincentive for couple of people especially with the transaction fee for Bitcoin now very reasonable.

Comment/ Observation:
1. Confirmation email actually arrived at my inbox - also using gmail, but it was long coming, more than 20 minutes
2. you need to edit this correction on site "Incorrect amount will not process," to will be processed manually
3. If BTC address is valid for one transaction only, then the 15 hours timer is unnecessary
4. I think Perfect Money need to make the list of Payment mode, to effectively cater for people from every region
5. What's the site's policy on clients from the U.S.?

800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC: where is the market going on: July 20, 2018, 07:58:47 PM
Whatever the market looks like, i am only following the very basic principles my friend told me to buy during the price is low and sell when the price is high. No matter how big or small the spike be, you will always earn if you just do it the right way.
You're quite right there about the opportunities for making money from the Bitcoin market even as is, though I foresee a hiccup in the ability to tell a high price apart from a low one, especially for a volatile market as Bitcoin. Given the prevailing market conditions, it takes a lot to remain a HODLer!
