7801  Economy / Economics / Re: A coin issued by some country government - would you go for it? on: May 13, 2018, 11:40:56 AM
Well, the only reason I would go for it is for pure speculative power. It is the same reason I bought a few tokens like Ripple and Verge, issued by entities I know will manipulate the price. Go in for the profits, leave before they ruin the project. Yes, that means I will never hold those tokens, but it does not mean I will not buy them to make short term profits.
7802  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: May 13, 2018, 09:00:14 AM
What do you think, how many people are ready to sell their goods or services on crypto? Let's say that we have service which help quick and easy to build online store and sell for cryptocurrency. What kind of reasons can motivate people to start a crypto business?
For any merchants to start accepting cryptocurrency they need to have a system where they are able to swap the digital assets to fiat currency as soon as they conduct their business and if that is possible then merchants will start accepting any digital coins and it might take a longer period of time to actually see those changes.

Not necessarily. Some merchants might just prefer to accept bitcoin and then just keep it as bitcoin, and sell it manually when the price is right. This is another way of holding and investing. Spend fiat on the business, accept Bitcoin at a premium rate (in actual effect they obtain more bitcoin than if they just bought it themselves since fees and rates are slightly higher if selling in bitcoin).

But yes, the one thing preventing is volatility. But it works both ways. Sometimes you end up earning more, sometimes less.
7803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Reason behind Etherium price falling on: May 12, 2018, 09:12:08 PM
All of you should read the news more because the cryptospace's future is in a delicate situation. Today the USA's SEC will decide if ETH is a illegal security or not. If they say that it is then that will the end of all the cryptospace development in America. Exchanges too will be liable for listing ETH and other tokens categorized as securities.

If this news is true, this can be the reason why the price of ETH are falling. Well I still believe on ETH and of course it will survive in the long run. This might be a short correction because of FUD news or what but we must remain on the positive side and keep on buying good coins.

ETH is particularly vulnerable to regulations because it is led by founders and have known centralized developers. These are identifiable by authorities unlike Bitcoin where it has no leader. People say ETH is more decentralized because of mining power and nodes are more distributed, but that means quite little when it comes to regulations. Plus all the ERC20 tokens on top of the blockchain, very delicate indeed.
7804  Other / Archival / Re: How to earn altcoin every days? on: May 12, 2018, 06:47:48 PM
How about. Get a real job. Do something you love and enjoy and expand your skills and earn real money? Then go participate in ICOs if you want, or just buy the tokens you like. You spend time with colleagues and other people and learn and grow.

If you only do bounties, airdrops, all of that. You learn nothing. You spam the pages everywhere. People get sick of your postings. Then value drops, and you also end up with nothing.
7805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will reach $ 2500 on: May 12, 2018, 06:24:34 PM
Today's market has fallen again, and it seems that Ethereum is not so easy to return to $2500. The good news is that the New York conference is to be held immediately, hoping to release some positive signals at the meeting.
Fall after pump, well that's what I call a usual pump and dump market, still, not making the chance for Ethereum to reach that high to be "less" achievable. Talking about New York conference I may assume, won't affect that much just like other conference which, well, didn't really affect the whole market a lot.

Yeah, of all the alt coins, ETH always demonstrated how easy it was to pump and then dump. I called a $750 dip after it reached $820, but sort of got caught out and did not expect it to surge below further, but this is what happens when BTC crashes, pulling almost every alt beneath the water. I only see Pivx in green today, not even Monero survived this mysterious dip.
7806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is going to replace bitcoin? on: May 12, 2018, 05:10:57 PM
I'm not sure anyone can replace bitcoin, the future is something that is difficult to predict, you can not say something that will not necessarily happen in the future, but that does not mean I do not pay attention to problems like bitcoin that will disappear sometime, there will be replacements that have a variety of advantages, so get a good response from many people so they can adopt it, but it is a mere prediction of the fact that bitcoin can survive today because of some of the advantages it has, so every still trust and use bitcoin

Bitcoin will not live forever, but forever is a really long time. I might maybe at maximum live for another 100 years, and that is not enough time for anything to happen even to fiat and banking, but by that time Bitcoin should still be reaching its heights and apex.

Do not worry guys, nothing will replace Bitcoin while we are alive. Worry first about the US dollar or your country's currency, before worrying about baby Bitcoin Smiley
7807  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-12] Millennials Are Buying Cryptocurrencies to Save For Retirement on: May 12, 2018, 02:21:48 PM
I thought that news was already in the circulation a month ago? Now they did a new research on 8 major countries including US UK, south Korea and Japan and guess what? these millennials all already bought their bitcoin, and now they want to hold. Just like you said, for retirement. So that is good news for me because it means new people into crypto are not all speculators but also holders. Of course I am sure many of them will sell when Bitcoin hits 20k again but that means we get to see holders for a year or so.
7808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves will kill Ethereum? on: May 11, 2018, 09:39:29 PM
Waves has practically no chance of doing it. It is still struggling to get going itself. Stronger competitors like EOS, ADA or NEO can give some worthy competition to Ethereum but Ethereum is too strong now to be stopped by any one.

No one is going to kill anyone, exactly. Everyone is struggling enough on their own, no one has any time or resource to devote to killing a competitor, if Eth even is the competitor to tokens like Wave. The only alt I know actively trying to "kill" someone it sees as a competitor is Bitcoin Cash and those guys have a lot of money and resources to do so. So do not bother asking ourselves about this aspect of competition. Mind our own project, focus on doing our best, and let the mainstream and market speak of our success.
7809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BEST advice for this Crash on: May 11, 2018, 06:46:57 PM
I agree that crashes are best times to add to holdings but we should all be aware that our policies and principles should not change BECAUSE of a crash or even because of a spike. If your policy is to hold or to keep a long term target price, then of course buy the dips. Cheaper coins, more roi if the price you target is achieved later. But if you are trading short term, and it crashes, then let your stop loss trigger. Reevaluate positions and decide. It is never too late to do anything.
7810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates: "I will short Bitcoin if I could” on: May 11, 2018, 01:55:22 PM
Never expected Bill Gates to say stuff like this. I thought he already learnt his lessons from the naughty past of windows monopolies and now trying with his wife Melinda to do good for a better world with his foundation, but you cannot remove the dark parts of his heart I guess. He maybe feels people forgot all about him and so he makes these types of statements,,, so the world remembers oh he was a genius. He should go buy futures contracts and prove himself wrong.
7811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 19-year-old bitcoin millionaire: Here's how much you should invest in cryptocurr on: May 11, 2018, 08:21:55 AM
About 40 percent of those between 24 and 35 have at least $1,000 in their savings account. That may not sound like that much, but 19-year-old bitcoin millionaire Erik Finman says that's enough to invest in cryptocurrency.
--snip--

Yes, early research has shown that more people are entering into crypto, and younger generations are more keen to buy, but the very latest research has shown that these same young people have also already stopped. Meaning, they have already bought or invested, but will no longer add new coins to their holdings. This mean? They are holders. Good news still, as it means they will not be selling.
7812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why do YOU think we're gonna land on the MOON this season? on: May 10, 2018, 12:05:43 PM
I am what I consider an optimist, but only for the long term view. I actually do NOT think we will land on the moon this season or even the next season, all the way to 2019 at least. There are so many signs to read into, both for the moon and for the depths of hell. But for the sake of the future, we all need to hope the moon does not happen so soon. Crypto needs months and years to stabilize and it has not even had time to take any breaths!
7813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Buying your ERC20 wallet tokens - Especially unlisted tokens!! on: May 10, 2018, 09:22:08 AM
Hi OP thank you for your offer again which I saw. I will not accept and hang on to my tokens for now. As I said, they are currently even only 10% or less of their highest value, so I was willing to let go for a little more but after all, maybe I do not mind waiting a while more as it is only a few dollars worth of ETH to miss out on. Good luck with your other offers.
7814  Economy / Marketplace / Re: A survey on Exchange Security...These are the findings on: May 10, 2018, 07:25:41 AM
Thank you for the link. Yes,,, I think also that many sites and not just exchanges are quite poor at meeting the benchmark levels for good security. And even if they do, the failure point always lies with human error. Mt Gox for example, just left it all to one person to keep everything on a USB stick. The hacks of Korean exchanges also always happened via the terminals of their employees who got infected with hacker malware and never realized it.

So we still wait for things to move to decentralized exchanges. I wonder when this will come.
7815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash on the rise! Is this sustainable? on: May 09, 2018, 08:04:53 PM
Now the bitcoin cash price reaches another peak ,the price of BCH is 1650$.This seems the positive move of the bitcoin on the market. The people who had holding the bitcoin cash will get enormous profit now.Hold your BCH till tomorrow, anything happen in the price tomorrow.May be the price will reach 2000$ by tomorrow.

No, no hold it til it reaches $10k. Get all your fork coins. In fact, buy more Bitcoin Cash because since coinmarketcap stopped listing Bitcoin.com, it seems there is still plenty of BCH to buy and the poor innocent people who bought BCH thinking it was Bitcoin need to sell theirs. So keep on buying it, people, if you really believe it can be the alternative to Bitcoin, put your money where your faith is. That is how to do it!
7816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future price on: May 09, 2018, 04:56:56 PM
Will waves follow similar steps as eth did?

i think 200 dollar is very high to waves price
posible waves price incraese to 0.01bitcoin/wave maximum 100 dollar in 2018
if above 0.01 still very dificult

500 million USD marketcap with 5 USD price. 200 USD price means 20 billion USD marketcap. It's definitely possible for long term but not for 2018. Top 10 coins have over 1.6 billion USD marketcap already. You need to also consider this whole crypto currency marketcap is growing.
Possible? Yes. 2018? Too hard. 2022? Maybe.
I also think it will be difficult for waves to break through the $ 200 price range we just wait for the resurrection might be with the rise of ETH and other altcoins can affect waves.

I love Waves, probably just my third favorite altcoin after Monero and Litecoin,,, but even I do not think it will reach $100 this year or even next year. Ethereum set the pace but it had few competitors. Just let Waves mature naturall and give it a few more years before thinking about its direction for pricing. Of course, if Bitcoin goes up and Waves can maintain satoshi price levels, then this could happen sooner than expected. But I do not feel this is likely or healthy.
7817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: are you ready ?? on: May 09, 2018, 02:47:44 PM
I missed this news! Holding Waves for a long time (not too long but almost all my time in crypto world) and looking so much forward to this and other developments. Not to sure still how to use this smart contract, does any one know where we can use an easy escrow type smart contract (meaning escrow held on the blockchain). Would love to start using this soon if possible.
7818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I hold verge? on: May 09, 2018, 10:22:10 AM
I bought Verge when it was 0.08$. But recent hype related to secret partnershit did not turn out to be a success as the price went down immediately following the official annoucement of the partnership. Now, I lost in BTC value around 30% as the price did not get to my sell order. Therefore, the question to pro traders, should I hold or get rid of that s’coin? Thanks in advance!
For me Verge is a strong sell. It was a good buy in the two digit satoshi area, but I can not understand why people buy it in this overhyped price levels.

Do not like Verge here but am a speculator. I already made back profits with Verge so even if I continue to play with it, it will never be with new BTC. I agree with you that 3 digit is overpriced for medium term, but for short and medium term, you can expect pumps to 1k or more a few more times, so I would always buy back more Verge at 500 or below, I have already twice done that with 2x or 3x profits. It is a pump coin, make no mistake, but lots of volume.
7819  Economy / Marketplace / Re: A survey on Exchange Security...These are the findings on: May 09, 2018, 08:33:08 AM
Where can I find this survey details? Looks very interesting and am very curious to see how my favorite exchange rates there. I did not realize that there were more than 100 exchanges. I guessed maybe 50, but seems I do not know everything there is to know about crypto. I am especially interested to find out how the survey captured the data. I think most exchanges would not let anyone just go into their systems to find out about security.
7820  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-08] Bitcoin Casinos Grow in Popularity – Why? on: May 08, 2018, 12:24:38 PM
Because Bitcoin casinos do not do the nonsense of fiat casinos, that is why! First of all, whenever I want to gamble online, almost every casino has restrictions on me. Worse still, they let me signup and deposit, and then come withdrawal all sorts of blocks and sending of documents. Bitcoin casino? I register, sign up play withdraw, never any questions never any problems.

And even in here, if you have issues you talk to them on BCT thread (like I recently did with bitcoinrush) and they resolve it plain and easy.
