7841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: May 04, 2018, 09:39:23 AM
There’s a high chance of a possibility that Ethereum will replace bitcoin in the top of cryptocurrency. Well, We all know that Bitcoin is the King of Cryptocurrency but Ethereum has a higher demand right now. Many investors are investing in Ethereum rather than bitcoin because of its possibility to increase its price. Plus, there are many projects coming up unlike ripple, and one such project I got to know recently is this token AGRI by blockgrain.io and they are only 7.5 cents! I'm confident because that is backed by Grain…the only asset that has inherent value throughout history.

I’m pretty confident of picking up big bags in their ICO. You can check out AGRI here: blockgrain.io

Were you around when everyone was talking about the Flippening last year? Ethereum people have realized since then that they should not speak too highly of their coin, or it makes expectations go too high and then everyone falls flat when it does not happen. The only reason Ethereum is making such a great recovery now is because Bitcoin is surging back to 10k. ETH has a higher demand because of ICOs, that is all.
7842  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to avoid bounty scams in bitcointalk on: May 03, 2018, 09:49:54 PM
Hate to say this but yes, you cannot trust a project but you can trust a reputable bounty manager, just as I have always done on this forum. The only times I have gotten "scammed" is when I participated in direct bounties that program people distributed. Every campaign I joined - including signature campaign like this one I still am in,,, I get paid when the manager is trusted and reputable. Track record and responsibility are very rare in this space. And they will not take charge of projects which they know are scam.
7843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ICO Rating Agencies on: May 03, 2018, 09:19:31 PM
I'm new in ICO, I have my project and interested physical investors, but I would like to process it through ICO. I've tried to register on few trackers, somewhere even I've paid and got some rating, but it seems, that even you have well prepared and real project, without paying thousands dollars, you will not get good rating...isn't it? So, is it really rating, or it is just manipulation of crypto-investor's mass meaning? My project e.g. is https://www.smartcitycoin.io
Get used to it and its always been part of the reality which do have lots of money or financially capable would really have always the advantage compared into those traditional person who do have average funds. We can say its manipulation or truly unfair at all but it do really works on that way and since you are already aware on such process then you cant do anything about it but to embrace. If you do like to be listed or rated you would need to follow up their terms.

Yes, do not think that there are any "real" ICO ratings out there that are honestly objective. They all get paid something to run a rating, otherwise, why would they do this "public service"? In the end, you are responsible for your investment decisions, and can use all these ratings as informational only, do not take their ratings as recommendation, and you are good. Besides, I have not found a useful ICO rating they talk about nonsense like market cap or token circulation which almost always mean nothing.
7844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Help with promotion ICO on: May 03, 2018, 01:41:15 PM
Why not instead of looking for people to promote your ICO (and wasting your time honestly) you should just work on your project until it has a minimum working product or what they call min viable product (MVP). Then, publish your ANN post here, introduce your project and talk about it. Answer questions from an interested community, take the discussions forward. It takes more time but it helps build your product stronger, your ideas better,,, then you have a better foundation for ICO.
7845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves vs. Bitcoin on: May 03, 2018, 08:43:46 AM
Today I was just reading the opinion of one person about the waves.
He claims that the waves will not soon have a good future because the team is from Russia, and the legislation does not support crypto-currencies.
Until the legislation in RussiTo changes, it will be the same as that of the Chinese with NEO

That is a bit ridiculous to say, to be honest. And I am not thinking this opinion just because I am a Waves supporter, user and holder. Just look at what is happening with Bitcoin legislation everywhere. Countries who do not want to acknowledge Waves will lose out, and Russia knows this. The Russia crypto FUD is stupid when there is so much proof everywhere even from the government that they are slowly accepting and never ruling out crypto. Burger King in Russia already uses Waves tokens, I do not see the government taking their business lisence away.
7846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Retweets disappearing on: May 02, 2018, 11:26:26 PM
Fake news maybe? Just checked and none of my Tweets have disappeared, and the link user provided above shows that RTs do not simply disappear except for the circumstances explained. No matter how rubbish, spammy, scammy, etc,,, as long as you did not do anything to your RTs, they will not be deleted or disappeared (not being displayed is something else entirely).

Yes, even if it is all ICO related or whatever, if your account is still valid, it is not going to have RTs deleted.
7847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Etherscan Issues Lately? on: May 02, 2018, 07:43:04 PM
Anybody else having etherscan issues? Just now I got an error, similar to one that seemed like it didn't connect at all when I was looking up a wallet. My internet is fine, it was the etherscan website that gave a generic error. Refreshed and it connected to show the tokens. Also, a week or so ago it completely didn't even show tokens in wallets. That seemed to fix after several minutes. Do you just think these are errors from server load? Maybe the website is getting too popular Grin

Has not happened to me since January/February actually,,, and also the period where cryptokitties clogged the network up. I use etherscan almost daily along with MEW, and it always shows me the correct values, even with the tokens. This is normal anyway but you can always check it on other networks (use MEW and select a network or node to show your tokens).

No worries anyway, if tokens are gone you will see out transaction Smiley
7848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [FREE $600] 10000 BKBK Tokens For 20 Lucky People!!!! on: May 02, 2018, 06:21:09 PM
So you're giving away $30 to people to promote your ICO? A hyptothetical $30 since those tokens are not actually worth anything to me right now other than speculative value. If you need to find 20 people to promote, you are in trouble. You should first have 20 people willing to do it on their own voluntarily before paying people. Or have you no fear of the reputation damage bounty hunters can tend to give to hit and run ICOs?
7849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Easy way to get listed in an exchange? on: May 02, 2018, 09:56:54 AM
As posters above have said, the quickest and easiest way is actually to just pay a fee. This will get you listed almost guaranteed, provided your token of course works and everything can be transferred to the exchange with no problems.

The really hard way, but I am not sure it even works now, is to enter discussions with exchanges about your product and platform, and token. If it is really good and people use it and there is great demand, exchanges might consider listing it on their own (coding has to be superb).
7850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Third Quarter is coming on: May 02, 2018, 07:57:03 AM
If this quarter finishes strong then we should see third quarter carry on with a stable foundation and bigger momentum. My belief is that it will depend a lot on Bitcoin itself of course but also all the ICOs that finished in end 2017 and early 2018, if their development objectives are kept, promises are fulfilled and all that, then alts will grow strong. If ICO projects all do not do well in progress, we will see token sell offs and people buying back into ETH and others.
7851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: May 01, 2018, 09:14:23 PM
Too many smart contract platforms now, seems every blockchain has to have them. What does WAVES do different to any other?

Well first off, most of those 'too many' don't actually have a working product, unlike Waves.

Second, how many decentralised blockchains have 10,000 Tx/S NOW!

Working product yes, but not only that, working product that people actually can use immediately look at the volume on Waves DEX since last year. And I use their wallet since I installed, so easy and so beautiful, and so simple, yet this was the start.

And yes on thousands of tx. I do not like when ETH keeps crashing every time there is some fancy new game coming out. Dapps are good, but if one popular one takes all the network effect, what is the use?
7852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about ICOs using moderators such AmaZix in telegram channel on: May 01, 2018, 05:04:02 PM
If I ran a "clean" project, I would personally communicate with everyone and maybe even arrange meetings whenever possible. If I ran SKAM, I would use moderators and try to hide my identity in every possible way. It seems logical.

And then who would be doing your development work? Would you be able to handle hundreds and thousands of people who sent you the wrong ETH address, or used the wrong smart contracts, or who spoke Vietnamese or Chinese?

Not saying you are wrong, but you might underestimate community management. If leaders of big companies had to meet shareholders every day they would not have time to run their companies.

No idea of much how Amazix works but they seem to have a good ship sailing there.
7853  Economy / Speculation / Re: 82% of Institutional Crypto Investors Believe Bitcoin Price Has Bottomed on: May 01, 2018, 04:07:51 PM
I would not jump to any conclusions just for now. Remember that BTC was at below 7k just weeks ago, yes, it looked like a bottom, yes it showed the double bottom, but why not a triple bottom or even a quadruple bottom first? Charts are funny that they can show things we are looking for but Bitcoin does not have our memory to perform according to history. It will do whatever it wants and however soon or long it wants. Of course, it looks good to us at this stage, but I am not ready to call anything for price right now. Wait and see as always.

I agree. As much as encouraging this poll may look and feel like to many of us, there still isn't any clear sign that we couldn't go down again to test 6k another time even fall below it. Bitcoin is a wild beast as we all know, so be careful don't go all in now. Layer in on the way up when we have seen a clear trend reversal. Until then stay cool and be patient.

Yes, and the sooner we all realise this, the better for our health and expectations. I always like to think a bit pessimisticly even though I truly believe in the long-term value and technology of Bitcoin. I will not say my trust is in anything else right now, but I still want to ground my beliefs in the reality that we have been shown over and over again. Bitcoin is volatile, that is the nature of this new asset and we must learn to live with it. And never throw everything into one hat. Always practice safety and caution.
7854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed? or almost? on: May 01, 2018, 03:33:35 PM
I just want to say here that people should understand the meaning of scam, some things do not REALLY qualify for scam, depending on how you see it. For example, I was part of a project but only as a sign up member, promised a small amount of free tokens. I did not refer anyone, did not do anything else, but eventually the project only awarded some people for sign ups, I got nothing and was lumped into category of multiple referrals. It did not make sense since I did not sign up under anyone or ask anyone to sign up under me but it taught me a valuable lesson about "free" things. Did I get scammed? I do not think so. But others would have said so.
7855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Im so much inspired! on: May 01, 2018, 12:18:01 PM
Im so much thankful and inspired about working on signature campaign in bountyhive.io. Its my 1st time to join there and 1st time to receive coins too! I wont mention the coin and how much will i got but i assured to you its so worth it joining signature campaign on bounty hive and luckily the project that i joined is one of the most successful ico today that will go through its hardcap and im really really excited to receive my hard earned coin. You can join too ,its easy and friendly user site and another good thing is no need to report unlike the old way .

Welcome to the world of earning in crypto, I feel happy to see people like you come and generate all this resources while also contributing to the community. I hope you stick around and stay within the communities of the projects that you like and support. I like that you did not mention the coin, meaning you are not unnecessarily shilling.

Just always bear in mind it is not about only ICOs and hardcaps and all that. It is truly about supporting ideas and technologies that you care about and want to use. Good luck Smiley
7856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters should be paid in ETH on: May 01, 2018, 08:21:12 AM
I think projects can do whatever they want to, it is up to the participants to choose what they want but I do agree that serious projects who want to go the way of marketing should pay in useable crypto like Bitcoin or Ether.

On one hand,,, you can get potentially more money if the token received is successful. On the other,,, you want to get rewarded for effort with something you can already spend. I prefer Bitcoin even to ETH, because I can use BTC in so many places if I do not want to sell it.

7858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in Litecoin now or invest in bitcoin? on: April 30, 2018, 07:18:02 PM
Litecoin was one of the first altcoins to appear so it was heavily inspired by the ideas behind Bitcoin. In fact, it is made to be the currency that will address the major drawbacks of Bitcoin. It is 4x faster (2.5 vs 10 minutes for releasing a block) and mining is somewhat easier.
It certainly has been over the years, even though there were short term fluctuations that are inevitable for any currency. But at the end of the day, it has always been in the top 5 cryptocurrencies.
It is traded on almost all reputable exchanges, so it’s very easy to get a hold of it. However with the current price at $151 only did you think it has a high probability of increasing in price drastically possibly competing with bitcoin in the future as a means of storing value??

I love Litecoin and it was in fact my very first alt (unless you count Dogecoin, which I actually received as a prize) that I owned, and I grew to like it more and more especially last year when they were the first to do Segwit and pave the way for Bitcoin.

I would not say that faster blocks and confirmations are a good distinction though, since most alts anyway have the same "advantage" but yes it is the true alternative of a payment currency. You cannot go wrong with Litecoin in this regard.
7859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: April 30, 2018, 05:44:53 PM
The XRP is now slowly moving closer to a higher position and waiting to be there for long periods of time.
forecasts about Ripple not happy, very soon they defrost another 5 million tokens, I do not think that this will have a positive impact on the price of the coin.

I thought it was going to be billions of XRP scheduled over several months, but this is one of the problems it has always had. First that the supply was so high, so millions do nothing to the price, and second that it was never certain how much developers held and exactly how they would freeze and release them. Every time I try to keep up, it seems this has changed all the time. Not that I am really bothered. My XRP is just for profit. Waiting for ATH return is all.
7860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: April 30, 2018, 02:52:30 PM
Hmm, had no idea there was this new thread that somehow escaped my attentions for so long, vaguely remember commenting but cannot find it. Looks like people have not forgotten about it (although recent pages here seem more like shills, which is so unlike Waves) and it makes me happy to see that development is still happening, especially with smart contracts coming and most importantly atomic swaps (then we can really see the DEX grow!). Holder here from $4, and yes,,, will be holding from $444 even.
