81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Amazon finally admits giving cops Ring doorbell data without user consent on: July 15, 2022, 06:53:56 AM
Quote
In each case, Ring handed over private recordings, including video and audio, without letting users know that police had access to—and potentially downloaded—their data. This raises many concerns about increased police reliance on private surveillance, a practice that's long gone unregulated.

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2022/07/amazon-finally-admits-giving-cops-ring-doorbell-data-without-user-consent/

and the ring door camera records audio.. wonder how sensitive it is.. like can it record conversations inside the house near the wall its mounted on? and, if so, how near is near..

I have multiple ring camera’s

Two for indoor and one on the front door.

they are okay for in the room.

the front door does not pick up sound in the house as the mic points to street.

the living room can record some sound in the bedroom as it points at the wall of the bedroom.

even if you shut the bedroom door you can still hear a bit of sound.

so the key is where the mic/lens points.

https://www.amazon.com/Ring-Indoor-Compact-Security-Camera/dp/B07Q9VBYV8/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?

see link for indoor model i use

If 30yrs ago you'd say that people would willingly pay to install MICs that let let cops and big corporations listen in on your bedroom, they'd think you're crazy, yet here we are.
People are too eager to sell their privacy for any kind of convenience, think the going rate is a forum emoji

I agree without the paranoia.

I don't know why people automate their home. They install tons of hardware care that needs constant attention whilst you are throwing their privacy around. This all to be able to not have to walk to the light switch.

Any company with a security leak will allow burglars insight into your house.

An imminent recession or even great depression is one of the worst kept secrets in global macro finance. When it does happen & get confirmed by the asshats in power of first world countries, how do you think the bitcoin market will react?

I mean theoretically bitcoin should pump on such news but it never does. I’m just wondering how low we go when the inevitable happens.

I don't think we are going to go down much...

The only downward pressure would be people needing to sell to pay bills.
The majority of Bitcoin is under whale control or in Diamond hands 🙌 💎
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2022-07-11] Bloomberg UK - Bitcoin Is More Likely to Hit $10,000 Than $30,000 on: July 14, 2022, 09:50:21 AM
These analysts have had years of brainwashing on how fiat-ponzi-economies work and legitimately think crypto is the same. They probably view Bitcoin like a stonk that will react like all other stonks in a recession.

This is where you're deeply mistaken, so drop the tinfoil hat, please.

Whenever I see an article I first look if is in the "opinion" section, if it's a paid article or if it's by a regular author of that website.
In this case, the analyst are actually dedicated to crypto, you can see even the links to their Twitter profiles in the article:
https://twitter.com/emilyjnicolle
https://twitter.com/isabelletanlee

Seriously, this attitude of everyone who doesn't see 300k by tomorrow is paid by the banking cartels is sooooo yesterday!

Simple math tells that in the previous cycles the price has fallen
* from ~1170 ATH to ~150 bottom. 7.8 times
* from ~19900 ATH to ~3100 bottom. 6.42 times

This makes numbers like 8846 or 10750 look possible.
On the other hand, let's go linear: 7.8 - 6.42 = 1.38; 6.42 - 1.38 = 5.04 => (69000 / 5.04) 13690 looks more possible than the other variants.

Following that model, I would be more concerned with the ATH than the bottom
From ~1170 to  ~19990 is 17 times
From ~19990 to ~69045 is 3.45 times
If we go linear is impossible, so we would have to go by a 70% increase at maximum for the next ATH, I'm quite sure that 99% of the users would hate that more than a dip down to even 5000.

I've been dedicatedly analyzing crypto since 2013. Still I don't consider myself to be an expert. I don't think anyone is an expert on crypto, because it's very volatile.

Bloomberg has been predicting 400k and now 10k which are both insane. It would suit them better to keep some consistency in their predictions, that's all I'm saying.
84  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin, I salute your final ATH. on: July 14, 2022, 08:00:07 AM
I hope the ATH that occurs in November 2021 is not the last, this year I want to see ATH reach $75k or more, now is the time to invest, don't think too much about the future of bitcoin because everything is clear that bitcoin is the best and most profitable investment.

It will come...

I buy a lot of meat on line.

Where do you buy your meat online?

Is it cheaper than what you find in your grocery stores?

Usually people buy meat online so they can get the big cuts for on the BBQ.
Not cheapest but the meat is better quality and not cut to small pieces.

And they've also been saying Bitcoin is worth 400k a while ago.

All these big names in the traditional world have no credentials in the crypto world.

Lmao, there is no restriction to predictions, so better they are trying their best to predict.
I am actually surprised to see that they have predicted that Bitcoins will hit more down in this bear market.
I mean it has recently went to 17k usd and bounced back to 22k usd, so it will take atleast two more weeks to fall below 15k usd mark, but hitting 10k is not possible I guess.
I am not saying that Bitcoins will rise, rather it will struggle in this price point for more few weeks.
Let’s see what happens next.

These analysts have had years of brainwashing on how fiat-ponzi-economies work and legitimately think crypto is the same. They probably view Bitcoin like a stonk that will react like all other stonks in a recession.
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to make new all-time-highs within 24 months: Coinshares CSO on: July 13, 2022, 10:31:25 AM
Yes could be...

Bitcoin has a 4 year cycle.

The only funky part is that the halving is traditionally the lowest point in the log curve.
This would mean the new ATH will be approx Q4 2024.

So it could be that there is an ATH before the halving.

Start trading without leverage. Leverage is going to get you REKT especially 50x.
Once your trading starts getting accurate then start with low leverage.

Americans getting pissed off by tampon dispensers.
I think the boys toilets would be better served with a body armor dispenser, also solves leaking too much blood...

Biology is only one part of the equation.

If someone isn't happy with their biology, they should have autonomy over their bodies, and they should be allowed to change it when they are old enough to decide. We have the technology.

Viewing from a philosophical standpoint..

What do you think about people that want to have a functional and healthy arm (or their legs) amputated, because they think they'd feel better without it?

Should they be able to get their treatment?  (I'm just curious. Not a question to make any specific point)

If they consult a doctor and mental health professional and they are still serious then yes.
I'm no personal fan of amputation of working body parts but if someone really wants it, who are we to stop them? It's not our body is it?

Same with euthanasia or people that truly think they have nothing in this world to live for. It should be possible for them.

It should not be an easy process though and great care should be taken before going forward. Mental issues can cloud judgement etc. But there should be a path for them...

But yes these are very difficult subjects

But yes changing gender shouldn't be an option ever suggested when underaged. It shouldn't be taken lightly either...

Things can get problematic fast when you figure out your GF has a bigger dick Grin
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish VS Bearish on: July 11, 2022, 10:08:37 PM
Bitcoin is the king of the crypto because...
It's old and trusted enough to remain.
It's not pushing to be innovative like ETH, it's trying to be a boring commodity that you can store wealth in.
It's the most dominant one with the highest marketcap
It's the coin with the most chance of being used by institutional traders
It's a threat to the traditional financial world
