1 BTC ≈ 32 oz Gold

For the reset of the world that will be 1 BTC ≈ 907.185 grams of Gold... almost 1 kg.

As someone once said... if you are going to buy gold you need 6 bars at a minimum... why? Because you can stack a little triangle in your safe Cool

But this is great news <3 Smiley
522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why I am confident Bitcoin price will still rise A LOT before the next big crash on: March 10, 2021, 11:25:30 AM
My experience is that the market is overheated when

- Bitcoin is mentioned in mainstream media (TV)
- Everyone around you talks about it
- People around you start buying and trading shitcoins
- The price is going up at an insane rate (look at last 30 days before previous ATH)
- etc.

Which is why it has felt like it's been overheating in at least February. TV was bitcoining all over. You know it's mainstream when even Reuters is talking about Bitcoin all the time.

People all know what Binance is.

Defi shitcoins are being shilled 24/7 on every spam message.

I haven’t seen people like Richard Quest talk in-depth Bitcoin on CNN yet...
I haven’t got three colleagues trading shitcoins and forgetting about their work....
Colleagues arguing about Bitcoin at the coffee machine

... so I’m not there yet... just doesn’t feel like 2017 yet... not crazy enough ...
523  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN CORRECTION: PERFECT BUY TIME on: March 09, 2021, 11:17:21 PM
Ok my prediction had turned out right after all...
Bitcoin is at 51k again....
And it didn't drop past my specified spot...
Now that's a big A for me

You didn't specify any point in your few posts. Or I didn't find it.
You just mentioned what was a good buy point in one of your posts.
Also I see no basis for your analysis which is OK in speculation.
But yes it didn't go below $43 - $47k ...

Yeah a bigly A for you *clap* *clap*  Kiss Grin

And yet we are in the $54k range again, yeah it did drop to $43k, a 26% if I'm not mistaken, but the price has bounce back already and we may hit $57k or even more.

And if someone bought during the dip, congrats and *clap* *clap* because you have made profits but pointing the obvious.

I’m merely pointing out that there was no analysis, just a vague reference to a number.
Anyone buying any dip will make profits...
524  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the FBI wallet with 141,000 bitcoins was stolen what would happen? :o on: March 09, 2021, 04:38:07 PM
*sorry if I missed something but is it really the Bitcoin FBI wallet...
I see the number is very large, the final balance value is $7,646,519,732.43. if true then they are likely selling the 'caught' bitcoins and depositing the money into the country.

I remember years ago they auctioned off confiscated coins. You could buy them at a mild discount if you took the lot...

That was with the silk road bust...
525  Economy / Speculation / Re: A 70% Drop May Occur after BTC Hitting Around $68,700 on: March 09, 2021, 04:25:20 PM
70% price crash is too much and I don't think its normal in a bull market what realistic to me is 30%-40% healthy correction in the short term, I can agree that it may correct after hitting $68k, I know many institutional investors are waiting for a big dip before entering btc and the best range they will accumulate for sure is from $40k if it go down this far but I doubt it will.

The 70% drop is when we go bear market. It takes 300 days to get to that low point.
Like from $19000 to $3000

In the bull market we get 30% flash crashes between upward thrusts which are basically corrections.
526  Economy / Speculation / Re: magic ball ON on: March 09, 2021, 04:20:11 PM
How can you say all alts are shitcoins, I make a lot of money on altcoin than Bitcoin,

back in 2017 (and it is starting to happen again these days) you could buy a dead coin (literary dead because it had no chain anymore) and it got pumped at least 500% and you could make a ton of money from it. that didn't change the fact that it was a shitcoin.

I'd refer to it as a single-cycle-coin.

Gets created
Gets hyped
Creator makes a shitload of money and runs
No Current site
No development
No more explorer
Exchanges throw it out

Bagholders are REKT

528  Economy / Speculation / Re: A 70% Drop May Occur after BTC Hitting Around $68,700 on: March 09, 2021, 11:30:53 AM
^^ +1

Only thing I object to is the limited time bear market. I believe the halvings and BTC algorithm lock the cycle to 4 years. But earlier is better  Grin
529  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it bearish season yet? on: March 09, 2021, 11:20:57 AM
August because I don't want to be around when transaction get impossible and everything goes parabolic and blows. Remember the $72 transaction fees? The three day wait for confirmations? Trades not going through...
Everyone knows december is evil and is to watch out for, so many will reap before that...

You are talking about the period from the end of 2017, then we did not have SegWit and crypto exchanges did not mainly apply batch transactions. Given how much the price has gone up, the fees haven’t risen so drastically though - although the time of $0.10 for the fee is definitely behind us. The problem of large fees stems mainly from ignorance, because how to explain that at this point someone is paying 400 sat/byte, and for confirmation in the next block 50 sat/byte is enough Huh

Everyone has their own strategy, but I don't think things will go so dramatically that the fee will be $70 + or that a big crash will happen overnight if something as dramatic as a pandemic doesn't happen.

I agree but each cycle we hit new limits. Stress testing Bitcoin and the infrastructure is good...
Let’s hope nothing backs up or explodes :p
530  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why I am confident Bitcoin price will still rise A LOT before the next big crash on: March 09, 2021, 11:16:16 AM
This is pretty much following what PlanB's stock to flow chart analysis predicts, which is all good.

But is there really going to be a crash? I mean the market or scene has changed from the 2017 to
2018 correction, its not all OTC investors now, there are serious Hodlers in Bitcoin who say they
wont be selling.

Don't underestimate the FOMO and FUD of greedy people in large groups...

Every cycle there are people getting into bitcoin trying to get rich quick. Putting in all their money.
Then when it goes down they are in the hole and then bills come pouring in and they are forced to sell...
Stupid traders will cause the crash...

well everything in crypto is possible. bitcoin hitting 150k might be too much of optimism but for some of us it will be more than that. the fomo is going to overhype crypto but the fall could also very terrible. just as how history show when btc touched $3k during the bear market.

not knowledgeable about Pi Cycle Top so its very interesting to see someone used 111 and 350 DMA.
how do we know the market is very overheated?

Your fucking kidding me!... and they are plugging it into the WAN port not LAN port!

Connecting to the internet is done through the WAN connection Wink
Just needs to plug in the PCs after that....

- APXH ΣOΦIAΣ ΓNΩΣIΣ AΓNOIAΣ - (Kλεόβoυλoς o Pόδιoς, 6oς αι. π.χ.).  <> You start to acquire wisdom, when you acknowledge that you don't know shit.

Merited.

Adding to this:

"The more I know, the more I realize I know nothing." ― Socrates

Thank you.

Both boil down to the same thing of course.
Socrates was the later, not that it's of any significance, as I'm pretty sure that there were others (not Greek) before Kλεoβoυλoς too.

534  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the FBI wallet with 141,000 bitcoins was stolen what would happen? :o on: March 09, 2021, 09:20:34 AM
Is it true though FBI owned that much coins? however regardless whether this news is true or not but if any hacker happens to be able to steal that coin then the hacker will be hunted down by the FBI or even worse the whole US goverment since it's not some measly amount.
I could imagine that hacker gonna have a lot of money but can't even cash out or living a hellish life because hunted LOL.

Dump it to the wallet of someone you don’t like and watch them get hunted down Grin
535  Economy / Speculation / Re: A 70% Drop May Occur after BTC Hitting Around $68,700 on: March 09, 2021, 09:13:57 AM
Currently we are at a 19x increase so much more potential to go up.
Currently few months left so much more potential to go up.
Currently we are not going parabolic so this is not even 1/3rd of the coming ATH.

THIS IS IF FUNDAMENTALS HAVENT CHANGED!

I remain bullish!! And will sell some at the top and get my coins x3-x6 back in 300 days
That key sentence there is "if fundamentals remain unchanged" and that is the most important part. I do believe that we will go up even more, we may reach to near 70k levels, but I do not believe that we will have a 70% drop, that part is wrong in my opinion.

We are bullish because of unexpected huge cash reserve turning to bitcoin by many companies deal, billions are coming into bitcoin, this is not a normal regular increase, which is why we can't really have any kind of shocking drop anymore, they will not allow it, billions will be spent to keep it up from now on. Think about it like stock market, they always keep their own money up because they care about that, they do whatever they can do make their stocks higher price, and that is why I believe bitcoin will not have a huge drop. Sure fundamentals look like it will go up, but nothing could show me a drop that makes sense anymore.

The drop is a correction for the FOMO parabolic phase. If there is FOMO there will be a bigass correction followed by FUD.

I agree that the drop should get less deep because of corporations buffering BTC and adoption.
I’m still anticipating the low after 300 days but the depth is unknown.

Welp, vaccinated today guess I'll make through till the next one. Smiley

Ha ha, me too (Pfizer), not sure if they injected saline or something (completely inactive) as I did not feel anything, at least locally.
People who are vaccinated with virus vector vaccines at least report something, which may be indicative of a response (soreness, slight fever).
There is no way for me to check that they kept this stuff at -70oC. I might check for antibodies in 3-4 weeks.

Same here, barley felt it, super fine needle.

I think 18 days should be max effect timing.

Wow ... I get my vaccination not until next year, because here in germany they are slow as fuck and the politians were to stupid to get this right ...

Europe is fucking slow because they dictate who gets what.... I’m in Holland....
Want the vaccine ASAP...
537  Economy / Speculation / Re: What you'll do when BTC price will go down heavily and fast? on: March 09, 2021, 08:34:26 AM
Other

Most I will keep in the HODL ride the cycle. Keep safe in cold storage.
A small number will get sold only to buy back at the bottom to acquire more BTC.
There is no choice but HODL because I always make long-term investments in bitcoin so it doesn't matter to me, because every time there is a decline it will definitely go up again even if you have to wait a long time.
and besides that I will take advantage of the decline in bitcoin to make purchases gradually and hold them for the long term.
I always do things like that and the results are satisfactory, I also make sales when the price of bitcoin goes up and sell a small portion of the profit for necessities.

I’ve been in the HODL from when BTC was triple digits. That makes me an expert HODLer Wink

Well this year I’ve made better gains on ETH than BTC.
Not all alts are shitcoins. But yes all alts are a means to gain more BTC or $$$....
How can you say all alts are shitcoins, I make a lot of money on altcoin than Bitcoin, and there is a lot of new technology from altcoin that change the world than Bitcoin. I agree that Bitcoin is the mother of coins but the technology always update, stuck in Bitcoin will make you missed good profits

Read my post again....  Kiss

Only saying I believe in the future of BTC above altcoins...
540  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the FBI wallet with 141,000 bitcoins was stolen what would happen? :o on: March 08, 2021, 11:16:51 PM
There are thousands of bitcoins in the hands of the FBI, how they securely store bitcoin?

At the current price it's worth more than 7 billion dollars!!  Shocked

If the FBI wallet with 141,000 bitcoins was stolen what do you think would happen with the bitcoin price?

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/35hK24tcLEWcgNA4JxpvbkNkoAcDGqQPsP

They should know how to secure their asset, although there is a huge risk of exposing their wallet in the eyes of the public, if ever the wallet was hacked and coins were stolen there could be a huge crash coming if the hacker decides to cash out those Bitcoins, we know FBI they have all the resources to track who hacked their wallet, it will not easy to getaway.

Run it through satoshi dice. Trade it in some crappy foreign altcoin exchanges between coins.

But I wouldn’t take my chances on tainted coins... Smiley
