I'm buying  Wink

I think Bitcoin is teaching them that there is nobody to bail you out if you go down.
In the normal banking world a liquidity of 10% is enough. In Bitcoin country you need 100% backing.

Another company going down

many bought around the 200WMA, but slowly we get into the price territory where people start to be afraid to buy... that's when smart money loads up and bottoms get formed..

However the market seems so manipulated rn with these forced liquidations that that kind of thinking might be useless

+1 shaking out the coins until nobody is selling and then buy the MF all the way up so nobody will be able to get in...

HODL!!! this is the moment you will remember when we go 7 digits  Cool
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 18, 2022, 06:34:30 AM
I was not begging for him, I was asking WO if we could help him out and suggesting any unwanted BTC can go towards that goal. Neither am I sure whether or not he is sincere. But why would an old member with so much trust, merit and history on his profile on Bitcointalk be lying about a despicable situation that he is trying to get out of? And all that for a few peanuts? That does not make sense to me. Report me if you want, you're still a jackass in my book either way.

Consistently with the note that I appended at the end of my prior post before I saw your reply:

I am not accusing Dabs of lying about whatever situation he claims to be in.  You are inserting that here as your strawman, goldkingcoiner.

Some people repeatedly get themselves into desperate situations.  (I know this, all too personally.)  Maybe he was telling the truth before—maybe not.  Maybe he is telling the truth now—maybe not.  It is irrelevant to anything that I said.

I said that Dabs has PM-begged before—and now, you are publicly begging on his behalf.  Right in front of someone who is clearly at least as desperate as Dabs, but who is taking the high road.  You’re the jackass.  Don’t you care about my desperate situation?

Incidentally, this is why begging is against forum rules.  Lots of people are genuinely in need.

So, are you a betting man, goldkingcoiner?

Edited to add, for the record:  goldkingcoiner is also lying about his own post when put it in terms of “any unwanted BTC”.  His post started with that, then segued immediately into a general beg.  (Not that asking for “any unwanted BTC” would be ok, but that’s not even what this was.)

Post archived in multiple places (archive.ph, Wayback), because it is drastically changed from the original (LoyceV, backup, more backup):

[...]

You could donate it to Dabs if you don't want it. As he told me, he is in an uncomfortable financial situation and could use any and all help. Maybe WO should help him out?

I said any UNWANTED BTC (In this case accumulated BTC DUST) can go to him as a donation. And then I said he could use any and all help. Help can be in many forms. I am helping him find a job, for example.
And then I said maybe WO wants to help?

I do not see the part where I begged on his behalf. I wanted to do a good thing for a good man with a green trust reputation who has been doing good deeds on this forum for a long time.

Here is Dabs doing charity for kids: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=300631.0
is this considered "begging" in your book, too? Do you report the hungry children or dabs for "begging" for them? Go ahead, report the whole thread.

Were you unloved by your parents and now you want everyone to be as miserable as you?

Edit:

Death_wish, lets see who else can back up your claim of dabs "begging" per PMs in the past. If you are making reputation-damaging accusations without providing witness or evidence, that is called slander Libel. An action seen as illegal in many countries. And I will also not let that pass if your accusations are untrue.

So:
Can anyone other than death_wish confirm prove that dabs has been "begging" via pm in the past for personal gain?

Checked my PM and I've got a dabs begging PM. Death_wish is correct.
I've reported this to the admin because begging is not allowed IMO.
I sincerely feel for dabs but I and many have lost it all and had to rebuild.
I've lost coins in cryptsy and btce and have never begged.

Proof:

My stack is significant... but won't let me buy a ship like that .... yet Tongue

Hey there, hello fellow Wall Observer thread poster ...

How significant is it for you?

For me, I've lost everything since last year, but somehow managing to survive ... it's not easy.

I am hoping against hope that maybe perhaps you'd like to help those less fortunate than you.

Dabs

P.S. I don't know if you've read my little story here the past few months.
226  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Tulip Mania 2.0 on: June 18, 2022, 06:31:54 AM
I imagine that if the market could ever hit $1000 it would much rather hit $0. Unless the difficulty goes back to what an average consumer CPU/GPU can easily work with, no ASIC miner can profitably run at $1000 per bitcoin.

Not really accurate I think... this is how it works to my knowledge (correct me if I'm wrong)

Bitcoin has a fair value which should be the mining cost.
Going under the mining cost is possible for a while, however a point will arise where miners shut down.
When miners shut down, the hash rate goes down. After a number of blocks the difficulty will go down.
A $1000 a coin point could happen if you wait long enough but it's unlikely because miners are likely to mine again when mining is profitable against market values.

So market value affects mining and mining affects the value. Greed is the balancing mechanism.

The Fed launching their own shitcoin soon. Another so-called conspiracy becoming reality.

What to do and what to invest in:
A digital currency with 10-20% inflation tied to ridiculous un-payable national debt or one without any of that crap.

 Huh

Hope they call it Brrrrrrcoin  Cheesy
228  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHAT EVENT DO YOU THINK WILL USHER BTC INTO THE NEXT BULLRUN? on: June 17, 2022, 09:23:31 PM
Yes but don't expect a perfectly matched curve...

Thought this was some shitcoin ad but I really love the epic Bitcoin ark vid  Cool Cool Cool
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 17, 2022, 08:49:26 AM
It seems though that we have a glimpse on what is going to happen this June. One of the worst as we have seen near capitulation again (I still think that the price can still go below $20k). Others say it has something to do with the Celsius collapse or the Feds raising the rate hike again. Nevertheless, this is a golden opportunity, bitcoin at a discount? Take his opportunity to buy more.

I also believe Btc could still go below $20k. At some point Btc touches the $20k level already. However it manages to bounce back and currently trading at $21k.
Well, Bitcoin is already in a huge discount now. I am thinking some people are either afraid of this correction or waiting to find the bottom.
The reason behind the current price of Bitcoin may not matter as this will be an opportunity to accumulate.

I think the bottom is in. Bitcoin is historically oversold and underpriced.
Waiting for 13k is probably going to leave you behind...
231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bottom is Actually In on: June 16, 2022, 02:28:55 PM
Last three dips to $20k have higher lows.
Triple rejection looks like the bottom is in...
232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin, I salute your final ATH. on: June 16, 2022, 01:47:14 PM
The thing that makes me worry that right now is Bitcoin's opportunity to continue to drop, today the price survives in the range of $ 21K, and now the market looks red again and the opportunity to drop below $ 20k is very large, of course this is a difficult choice because if we sell it then We will lose money, I never hope the price of Bitcoin this year can pass ATH, if you return to $ 50k, of course, is a good achievement.

Choice is easy imo

It's money I see as spent and I will HODL it all the way to $0 or to $(never gonna have to work ever and live in luxury)
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter Schiff Advices Don't Buy the Dip on: June 16, 2022, 09:33:04 AM
I'm more interested in going against the grain than having to follow other people's words, I'd rather buy on a downturn than have to wait for the market to go bullish again, remember now a price that we may never see again in the future, I prefer to go against what many people think say instead of having to follow it.

Most people are poor
Most people lose

so going against the grain is the only way that will make you profit
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2022, 08:23:16 AM
No mindrusting event -leveraging "accidents" don't count the same as selling purely out of fear- nor enough people thinking this might be the "end" of Bitcoin... Again.

QFT, thank you.

Bitcoin will win when people sell dollars purely out of fear, thinking this might be the “end” of the U.S. Dollar.

At that point, it will be in every way the antimindrust situation.  To flee a crashing asset is sometimes smart.

There USD won't crash because the world has made themselves dependent on it.
So printers go brrrrrrrrrrr and we all look the other way because we can go on with our lives...

That’s like saying that the Zimbabwe Dollar can’t crash because the people of Zimbabwe made themselves dependent on it.  LOLWUT?

Of course, the USD can crash.  Can and shall.  It is an arithmetical certainty that it must crash—yes, I am calling “confirmed math and science” on that one.  What nobody can predict is when or how.  “...we all [not everyone is your “we”] look the other way because we can go on with our lives” = what Americans call kicking the can down the road.  How far can that go?  Nobody knows.

I warn against the foreshortening of predictions, and generally against jumping to conclusions.  Since the 1970s at the latest, every astute observer has known that the global financial system must someday collapse.  It is based on politicians who act on time horizons of the next election, CEOs who act on time horizons of the next earnings report, and whole generations of people who bequeath the results of their own selfishness and foolishness to their own descendants:  A house of cards built on debt and duplicitous accounting tricks, as inheritance.  It is unsustainable.  However, that does not mean that anyone can accurately predict what will happen when.  The can has been kicked down the road for a long time; who knows how much longer that can continue?

Now what? Only option left is to simulate alien invasion from outer space.

To what end?  “War of the Worlds” type of panic, given that historical precedent?

Anyway, in all seriousness, I neither admit nor deny the allegation that I am a space alien.  No comment!

The point I'm making is that the wealth of the biggest nations and economies are intertwined.
If one of these countries suffer the others will too and it's not like you can flee to a better store of value (Bitcoin would be a potential)

Zimbabwe was a small country that screwed themselves by giving rise to a dictator (and yes I've been to Zimbabwe). Everyone started using currencies like dollars which made the zimdollar worthless because the people had alternatives.

As much as I wouldn't mind the US going tits-up I know that the world is still too much invested in the US.

cAPSLOCK, this reply is repurposed from a reply to you, Torque, and Hueristic that I started earlier:

You guys realize that very soon there will be ANOTHER Celsius, or Blockfi happening...

And then big well known hedge funds.

And then Medium sized banks.

And then LOTS of medium sized banks...

And so on?

Tick tock.

We have known it for years, but some of you are too busy watching the side shows to see it happening now.

Somewhere last month, I saw an intelligent LUNA holder compare the Terra meltdown to LTCM.

Since highly intelligent Lunatics seem rare, it is possible that I was the only person present who understood the reference—or what it meant.

Credit where due.  He pretty much anticipated all of this.  The LTCM allusion was spot-on, a big ball of predictions summarized in four letters.

(I began longer reply to posts by you/others listed above, re derivatives and some other things... cannot finish now, sorry; maybe another time.  The gist:  (a) I was not even talking about naked shorts, but rather, legit shorts of actual coins; (b) naked shorts would be impossible, if we could delete all centralized exchanges and use only trustless DEX; (c) cannot complain about derivatives, etc. in the same free market where Bitcoin can exist.  Free market is free market.  Permissionless is permissionless.  No “have cake, eat too” (similar issue as with tokens, NFTs, etc.).  I even like some derivatives—though not CME; I was puzzled during the late-2017 bull run about why so many Bitcoiners were excited about CME, gleeful over every pump caused by news about CME—wtf?—I guess it was just greed talking.)

Another week filled with excitement! Lifted directly from the mouth of Big Kev "I’m excited!"

I hope everyone here has taken this opportunity to increase their stash, using whatever method available they’re comfortable with, DCA/BTD/BTFD/BTFFD or even TA (Trading Astrology  Wink), anything, other than Margin Gambling\Trading!

I opted for DCA to add to the stash. In fact, these buy will be allocated to my Great Grand Children. I went all the way down to $17,000.00.

Do I think the price will go sub $20K, don’t know and most importantly, I don’t care...

We’ve all been here before, we’ve all seen this same scenario, time and time again, and hopefully no one is in "Shock and Awe" of the situation.

Exactly this. I've bought some extra at 28k and I'm still very happy with that position.
Accumulate and 6 months from now we will likely be at or close to 100k so any position is a good one.
237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2022, 05:37:44 PM
Hopefully FED news isn't too bad and we bounce to 300k  Wink

FUCK THE FED!

Literally bitcoin exists to not rely on the Fucking FED.

*Batslapp

I made a call today for a loan as I'm outta ammo and taste blood.

Fuck the FED indeed. I'm a foreigner so my post wasn't to be taken to seriously Smiley

Quote
Look
If you had
One shot
Or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted
In one moment
Would you capture it
Or just let it slip?
Yes, I will capture it because I don't know if that is the last opportunity  for me to embrace such a good things in the community. This is the opportunity many traders has been hoping to see in crypto market before they can buy and hold for the bullish season to come before they can sell to make a good money. I believe the crypto price has decreased to a level where traders can buy huge amount of coins and hold for future purpose.

Exactly taking coins out of public circulation will push the price up.
239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2022, 01:24:12 PM
the tide will turn eventually...  all the brrrr money has to go somewhere...  keeping cash is no option long-term

call me delusional but I wouldn't be surprised, if we saw 100k within a year.. the road for that possibility is just getting cleared from all the obstacles aka lending (=shorting) scams and weak hands

edit: ok, let's say 2 years  Cheesy Cheesy

Not delusional. If the Fed reverses this is a possible outcome.

Yup looking at the log curve channel 340k in 2025 could be the next ATH.

Lol I'm not even a bitcoin fan but Russia's ban doesn't matter since like 15 people in Russia have enough money for crypto

And those 15 are sanctioned to infinity  Grin
