Trezarcoin is good for staking as you get 100 TZC per POS block.
You will need a high balance to make it worthwhile though as the difficulty has gone high but its worth looking into.

I do a bit of both but like mining as I can mine good quantities of newer coins and then hold them for the long term.
I'm also looking into more POS coins now and like the idea of a return on your investment with Masternodes too.

Yes it seems relatively cheap at the moment, its pumped up a bit higher a few times but dropped back down each time.
Will be interesting to see how it performs next your but if you believe in the project it seems like a good entry point at the moment.

As long as it's still profitable then it is worthwhile mining.
Another option if you want to get paid in BTC would be NiceHash.
|
|
|
As others have said there are plenty of other coins out there that you could switch to today, another example that looks to have good potential is Metaverse ETP.
In terms of ETH moving to POS it looks be a good bit off yet, the other options would be to just keep mining it until POS happens and switch to something else then or sell your hardware before POS is implemented.

Is this coin ASIC minable? If so, does it compete with bitcoin for the hashing power out there?
Yes and standart x13 miners will work. Bitcoin? No comparable to bitcoin mining Yes paxmao you'll need a Baikal miner that supports the x13 algo such as the giant x11, it doesn't compete with Bitcoin for hashing power as Bitcoin uses a different algorithm (SHA-256)

The safest altcoins are ones from the top 10 that are well established and proven at this stage.

You can search all the Eth based tokens here: https://etherscan.io/tokensAlso, on coinmarketcap when you search for a cryptocurrency it shows on the left if it's a coin or a token.

Hello guys
ETH veteran here, but wanting some feedback of these cards on XMR
Could you share your hashrates and wattages for XMR?
thanks!
My Asus expedition OC RX 570's with Anorak's power save rom get 662.5h/s mining cryptonight algo. GPU only power draw in GPU Z is approx 75w, still need to test it at the wall.

There's two main strategies really, the first is going by whattomine and just mining whats most profitable, the second is researching different coins and mining one that you believe has a good future especially if its early on when you can get a lot of coins while the difficulty is low.
I've had my stints with mining Eth and currently using NiceHash because of the recent rise in CryptoNight profit but i'm thinking of switching to a strategy of mining a coin that might not be the most profitable today but could rise multiple times in the future, some examples of this could be ETP and Ubiq.
My rig is AMD though, for Nvidia you could check out a newer coin like Trezarcoin as you'll be able to accumulate a lot each day due to it only being worth around the 1 cent mark and difficulty is still relatively low.
|
|
|
I'd also recommend mining Ethereum, it was the most profitable last time I checked whattomine, I have used Claymores Dual miner for my RX 570 rig and Nanopool as the pool and its very stable and you can set the payments to whichever minimum payout value you'd prefer.
You can checkout whattomine.com to check the exact profitability for your hardware.

It's almost time for our favorite time of the week. I think maybe Onion volume and price will pick up a little today as more people try to accumelate Deeponion now segwit was canceled.
Yes hopefully we'll now see money flow back into alts and DeepOnions price goes up due to this. Glad the uncertainty of the fork is now over.
|
|
|
It hasn't seemed to have any effect on the price even though you would have thought a big issue like this would.
Eth has been pretty steady lately and moved up a bit today, hopefully it won't end up affecting the price in a negative way.
|
|
|
Hard to know how this will affect the market, the price has remained steady for BTC, on one side it takes away many risks and brings more confidence and stability but its hard to know if it will drop much due to money flowing back into alts. The other thing to watch is the price of BCH, will it become stronger and continue to grow in price as an alternative to 2x with 8mb block size, lower fees and faster transaction.

Interesting news, will be keeping an eye on this to see how profitable it is at the start.
I will probably just use SuprNova to test it on Sunday as I've used it in the past for mining DCR.
|
|
|
I would be interested in the DCR1 Decred miner because I think its a good project but the lead time on these miners is too high for me to consider purchasing.
Too many variables at play when you have to wait that long to get the miner.
|

Yes there are lot's of altcoins that are looking cheap right now compared to there ATH.
I have high hopes for Substratum once they release there product, only $0.10 at the moment.

Hi,
I think I didn't ask the question clearly.
I wanted to ask if I can use laptop's SSD in GPU based rig.
Yes you can take an SSD out of your laptop and use it for a GPU mining rig.

Somebondy knows when the deeppoints airdrop will occure tommorrow? Do we need a minimum "points" amount to take part in the airdrop, or is everybody receving a proportional amount equal to their deeppoint amount?
The mods will count this Sunday around 13:30 UTC the total DeepPoints and distribute them proportionally to all members, there is no minimum points required to be included. See official post here: https://deeponion.org/community/threads/deeppoints-distribution-coming-soon.6242/
