81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat or crypto betting in bear market? on: November 24, 2018, 05:46:01 PM
With no doubts it's better to play now with fiat considering the crisis in Crypto market. No one wants to play some Dice watching all his bankroll melting meanwhile because market's high volatility. However for many gamblers there is no option, they have to play with Crypto-Currency, as gambling is forbidden on their countries and everyone playing for fiat, even online, are being tracked by the authorities.
82  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bad "good" news. on: November 24, 2018, 01:07:31 AM
Protect yourself not acting by impulse. Never believe at first on any news you see, doesn't matter if it's on the television, on the radio or on the internet. Don't follow panicked people on their actions. If you really believe on what you are investing and see its potential, you won't fall for fakes or bad news during the hard times, you will be always one step ahead.

And if you make a choice based on news you see, be sure it's not an impulse you are going to regret later.
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: List of Reasons that Explain the Price on: November 24, 2018, 12:31:19 AM
It could be market manipulation by some whales, followed by a Crypto-Currency mistrust wave, followed by panic selling. And of course, it happens because it's a volatile market, it's a possibility decentralization opens to the public who are part of this market.

And I don't think manipulation here means necessarily a sabotage on purpose, but maybe these big investors have found a better place to put their money for now, as Crypto world was too stagnant.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This person made $500,000 with gambling and lost it all within 60 seconds! on: November 23, 2018, 02:18:33 PM
But if people have an selfcontrol while playing in gambling because he/ she play for fun not to got profits they huge of loses

Okay, I feel like a ghost in this thread or either people are naive and stupid.

Let me ITERATE once again - WHEN IT COMES TO GAMBLING - PEOPLE HAVE NO SELFCONTROL.

You are talking about SELFCONTROL which doesn't coincide with the term GAMBLING!

Can you please stop blaming the gambler and realize it's the system that it's built like that?

Do you have any idea how many millions casino owners and sportsbook owners take from gambling?

This is how the system is built! It's designed for you to lose your SELFCONTROL!

Please stop, just stop blaming the gambler for not having SELFCONTROL, it doesn't matter when it comes to gambling, because any gambler would lose his SELFCONTROL one way or another.

Okay?!

Now can you please stop, just stop mentioning that SELFCONTROL was the problem here?!?!

Lol, the gambler made $500.000,00 with gambling. This story could had a happy end if he had just stopped right there! It's all about self control. If the casino was the villain, gamblers would never make such profit.

And I'm sure there are some successful stories too about gamblers who had success on their life, because they had self control, they knew when to stop and when to diversify their money!
85  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there any chance to build a great marketplace in times of crisis? on: November 23, 2018, 03:25:30 AM
Despite the crisis, Crypto has a future, no doubts about it. This concept is so good that even the governments which don't like Crypto-Currency want to use the technology at their own favor. Crisis don't last forever and at some point the market will raise again, however now it's unpredictable to say when.

I believe ICOs aren't a good indicator of Crypto usage, but pure speculation. Surely developers have to show some usage for their AltCoins when lauching their ICOs, but actually it's all bullshit, there aren't real advantages when using their currencies, besides the possibility of profit. And I think ICOs are more helped by Bitcoin than they help Crypto market. So if Bitcoin is fine, the market is fine. If Bitcoin is bad, the whole market is bad.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor Internet Services Could Cause Hamper Crypto Adoption in Africa on: November 23, 2018, 02:01:26 AM
It's a fact poor internet services affect negatively Bitcoin adoption. On short term there isn't much to do. But as technology is developed and improved, cheaper and more accessible sources of different services are disponible, like sources of energy, internet services and electronic goods for an example. All these examples allied to a basic effective education can lead Africa to a competitive stance compared to another continents.
87  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism is destroying us. on: November 23, 2018, 01:22:38 AM
Ok, if it's so terrible to live in a Capitalist society you could donate all your stuff and go to Cuba, North Korea or Venezuela. They will enjoy a slave citizen like you, so proud of their system, working on their lands.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto adoption on: November 23, 2018, 12:22:24 AM
Crypto would just replace the currently currency we use. And governments would tax it in a very simple way: You know that a business to exist has to be declared to the government, so the business' owner pays the respective taxes to the government (in this case in Crypto-Currency). Then he will have to declare who are his employees, how much they are being paid, etc... So the government can calculate where the money is going, how much each one has to be charged, considering the local politics and rules.

And if the person is a government's employee it can be even easier to be tracked.

Ponzies are forbidden in many places, people try to hide it like they try hidding fiat ponzies. It's not different and the tracking methods rely on intelligence of authorities on both cases.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Thing To Do When Cryptocurrencies Price Dumps! on: November 22, 2018, 06:42:56 PM
To do this you should be sure we are on the floor already, otherwise the price will continue dropping and there won't be any profit soon. It used to be a good idea, but now with so much fear and mistrust on the air, think twice before speculating, to make this worth more people must be thinking and acting like you, or the price won't rise.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: November 22, 2018, 06:03:03 PM
any choice in every bodies’ life is actually a gambling…

choose a wise husband from a bunch of boys is a gambling
choose a school to study is a gambling
choose a boss to work with is a gambling

so, gambling is addictive…

no one can escape...

From this point of view every choice in life is a gambling, but I believe it's beyond of being addicted to it or not. Choices are needed in life, it's not an addiction, but a necessity. Of course we might be "gambling" when choosing where to live or work, who to marry, what car to buy, to travel or to save money... Without these "gamblings" there isn't movement in life, or there isn't even life.

However, never forget that you are on the control all the time, you are the one who decides if you are a conservative or an aggressive in the real life's gambling, depending on your choices.
91  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about crypto currency issued by the government? on: November 22, 2018, 05:22:54 PM
I think crypto currency issued by the government and is backed by the government would be calling the same animal a different name. It would still work like a fiat and they could control it but still disguised as decentralized crypto currency. They would either ban any other crypto currency adoption in their country or tax other crypto currencies higher.

Seems a good idea if they create their own currency, but giving the option of using decentralized Crypto-Currencies too to their citizens. The problem is to forbid one kind (the decentralized one) to force everyone to use the one they want (centralized). Indeed a centralized Crypto-Currency created by a government would be very similar to fiat, however they would be using a new technology, what would be already an advantage, an improvement compared to the old system.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This why you shouldn't be worried on: November 22, 2018, 02:15:57 PM
Comforting image to relax a little bit during this crisis time, but each period of time is unique. The factors that lead to those price variations aren't the same, so I think they aren't comparable. What we see now is something inedit, like those price fluctuations were inedit on their respective times.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2018, 12:48:38 AM
This situation is very shady yet to have a final conclusion. There aren't real evidences of the reason why Bitcoin started falling so fast. We can take the conclusion the price keeps falling because panic selling, but the primary cause that generated the consequence (panic selling) is unknown.

Anyway it's a worrying situation. The whole Crypto market lost billions of dollars in few days!
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fall! What to do? on: November 20, 2018, 08:57:39 PM
Total unpredictable scenario. Just pray for some rich guys come in and buy the BTC coins that are flooding the market, thrown away by desperate sellers. Little fishes can do nothing now besides waiting or panicking themselves too, what I think it's not a good choice.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was not what we were promised - there I said it! on: November 19, 2018, 06:42:34 PM
Decentralization allows everyone to centralize the thing in question, if they have enough power and influence to do that. It's the Law of The Strongest.

The whales control the market, but they have to drop coins on the market to keep controlling it. Then there is a chance for new people to balance things, buying the coins the whales drop and increasing their own influence.

The same with miners: if it's not being interesting for the currently miners they will shut off their equipments, but it will become interesting for new people that may replace them on the mining function.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: November 19, 2018, 05:40:49 PM
It is very easy to advice to say to do this and that to get rid of gambling addiction by doi g this and that but this advice won't work for even on 10% gamblers.

Gambling addiction starts by first playing for fun but when you lose high you start to this k how you lost and then you do more gambling and then this way you become addicted to gambling in recovering you're loss.

So the theory is that everything is on gamblers will to kill his full investment or forget the loss and leave with what left and live happily

I think some people are just born with a more addictive personality which causes them to get easily hooked on gambling.  It isn't exactly the same but alcoholics tend to follow the addiction pattern of their other family members so we shouldn't put too much blame on individuals.  Quite frankly, as long as they aren't harming other people I don't see a problem with it.

Addicted people are always harming others... Maybe the relatives, maybe the society.

Surely for most addicted gamblers it will be hard to stop the addiction, because they have a lot of difficult to control their emotions. To see a good time at casino like going to the movies can work for normal gamblers, they understand it and apply it on their lives without harming themselves and those who they love, but I believe it doesn't work the same way for the addicted ones. On the second case it's much more complicated.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin bankruptcy on: November 19, 2018, 03:47:11 PM
Indeed, a fall event like that affects Bitcoin a lot in a negative way. It's easy to say "if you don't want to risk money don't invest in Bitcoin" and to blame everyone who points how they are worried and upset about this collapse. But it's a fact many people have lost hard earned money, as pointed by the author.

People who work online and receive payments in BTC will think twice now if they should continue doing this or to go back to Paypal again, dealing exclusively with fiat. Entrepeneurs will have to rethink their plans about Crypto-Currency, if it's a solid idea to invest on this segment or not... A massive fall in price generates a lot of doubts and uncertainties and to oppose to these people, that have legit complains, will only decrease BTC's strength even more.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people will drive Bitcoin adoption more than the older generation. on: November 19, 2018, 03:19:15 PM
The younger generation is the one that can save Bitcoin. They have enough knowledge, skills and technological access to develop more services and improvements related to Bitcoin. Once they do it, many people, especially from the older generations will adopt Bitcoin too, not because the currency itself, but because the services there will be disponible through the use of BTC. In the end, everyone will benefit from this "balanced adoption", from all generations, young and old ones.
99  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we destined for Doomsday? on: November 19, 2018, 02:44:32 PM
It's not looking good and there aren't good answers to explain why BTC's price is falling so fast. What is really happening?

I imagine there are better investment options on the world for big investors, then they are moving their funds out of Crypto-Currency. I mean investments on the prominent economy of some countries, a probable boom that may happen soon and they want to enjoy.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you cash out your bitcoins for Black Friday? on: November 19, 2018, 12:27:43 AM
Is Black Friday the explanation behind the mistery? Well, I'm not sure about it, anyway I'm not going to cash out my money because of this particular event. And I believe if people want to spend some extra cash with Black Friday they won't sacrifice a lot of money from their BTC investment to do this... That would be insane.
