84  Local / Portugal / Re: Portugal meeting!!! on: February 14, 2014, 11:40:53 AM

OK. Irei então perguntar-lhe. Acham que serão quê, 10-15 pessoas? Ou estou a exagerar?

Fork Bitcoin and "create" one cryptocurrency with reversibility. If the market wants it...

Giro era comprarmos um Leitão e assar em casa de um membro Smiley  Grin Grin

Quem disponibiliza a casa?

Opa, se for no verão e com tempo razoável, quem sabe aparece também um membro do Brasil :-)

Não te chega o leitão? Também tens que meter o dente numa brasileira? Huh

89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Gauging Interest] Bitcoin at Burning Man! on: February 04, 2014, 12:55:48 PM
The people who attend Burning Man are not the same people who would use bitcoin. Ever. Period.

Bullshit. I've attended burning man twice and use bitcoin.

I was under the impression that nothing was sold or purchased during Burning Man, but guess I'm mistaken.

Next, I see Yankee/Charlie logged in yesterday.

Finally, an image that may or may not be related: http://www.businessinsider.com/tyler-winklevoss-at-burning-man-2013-9

I'm here..lurkin...

Don't worry PSY, no offense taken  Grin

Hey Bruno! Miss you bro...

Good to see you around with your sense of humour intact, Charlie. Smiley
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Gauging Interest] Bitcoin at Burning Man! on: February 03, 2014, 12:38:41 PM
So, Yankee, who's the Burning Man now?  Grin

Sorry, couldn't resist... Tongue

Wow Psy, that's cold as ice. lol

I've been there once. Burning Man is just an excuse for a people to get high, get naked and fuck in public. You can experience the same thing during any number of festivals in San Francisco. The only difference is at Burning Man you go to sleep every night with sand in your eyes and between your teeth. Burning Man only lasted a week. It took me two weeks to wash the sand out of my hair and the crack of my ass when I got home. Never again!

I'm more into http://www.boomfestival.org . The US desert is a bit far away from me Wink

92  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Easy Wordpress Bitcoin Price Widget Using PHP Script on: January 31, 2014, 11:23:17 AM
Can anyone tell me how to display latest prices for the top currencies in that one script like USD, CAD, Pounds, UR without having to have many copies of the script?

I think you will need one curl call for each currency, which can get pretty taxing on your server if you get the tickers on each page load.
Unless you can find a ticker which displays all currencies using one call only, ofcourse.

EDIT: Found it: https://api.bitcoinaverage.com/ticker/global/all

Tell me which currencies you want and which value(s) to show for each currency and I'll see what I can do about it if you can't do it yourself.
93  Bitcoin / Press / Re: POST FORMAT: YYYY-MM-DD SITE - HEADLINE on: January 31, 2014, 11:03:35 AM
The last time we tried to get someone to enforce this he was given mod status and  then went nuts and then had it taken away.

I try to keep an eye on this forum, but lately I've been extremely busy and don't have much time. I've seen it is really becoming a mess, but the lack of time... Need to spend a couple days looking at it page by page and fix it. See if I can make it this weekend.
94  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-13] Bitcoin in TV series The Blacklist on: January 18, 2014, 02:23:44 PM
Twice in Almost Human, maybe more. Great show btw.

3 times already. Bitcoin was mentioned on episodes 6, 7 and 8. From what I did understand: Bitcoin is the money of the future. On episode 7 the dude robbed a bank and stole, you guessed it, Bitcoins!!!
Wanna bet they'll mention Bitcoin on episode 9 also? Tongue
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amir Taaki needs to stop talking about bitcoins on: January 18, 2014, 01:53:05 PM
I think he's great personally - I saw a youtube video recently about a guy who had something to do with the development of the global phenomona that is BTC - I was expecting to see a middle aged guy wearing a cardigan who doesn't get out enough (not that that would have diminished my respect for him you understand) - and instead on came Amir talking about how he held no BTC because he had everything he needed in the room he was in (and there was literally only a laptop in the room).
Of course, as you get older you might end up with a family etc etc and so Amir may require more than just his laptop Grin

But the guy is a good sort IMHO

So, they can just seize his laptop and leave him without knowing what to do next?

Confirmation Warnings

This transaction has a none standard input.

That is why. You better double spend those coins with a new transaction, cause that one is probably going to get stuck there.

Anyone have this guys return address, he seems to have skipped town with peoples money. Likely scammer.

Tablets came from Amazon, so it's Amazon's address.
You didn't use escrow?
98  Economy / Economics / Re: Please Read!! Help Stop This Madness. on: December 04, 2013, 09:52:07 AM
If you still want to support your donation address, how about sending a good sum of money to yourself through intermediaries? Smiley

Fake it 'til you make it? Tongue
99  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can bitaddress.org be trusted? (academic question) on: December 02, 2013, 08:11:31 PM
Actually, I think your method is just as secure as using bitaddress.org itself. But if it lets you sleep better I would do it exactly like you said.

However, I still have the feeling that cracking such addresses ist still not impossible. It just takes a lot of effort.

OK. Do it. Lots of money await you. Why wait.
