The difficulty of the coin adjusts pretty smoothly. I also like the fact that there are only 1 million coins.
Any word of getting this on Cryptsy?

Until a crypto exchange is run like a real exchange, like CME for example, DDOS will always be possible. Has nothing to do with "code" and everything to do with infrastructure and security.
No one can take down CME Globex. Not in their wildest dreams.

There is a scheme here which has been going on for quite a while and is hurting all altcoins.
Developer creates new altcoin, premines it for supposed bounties and services of which only a fraction gets paid to other parties, while the main is cashed in by the dev himself, and dumped when the coin hits the exchange and or earlier via other means.
The "dev" merely changes a few variables in the client, then moves on to create a new altcoin and repeats profiting on it. This will continue until people stop supporting this kind of madness.
While it would be reasonable to premine some blocks for bounties, if the developer was honest and kept supporting his coin, as in creating services, hiring more developers etc, this option has to be thrown because of the too high risks of being abused.
I urge everyone to not participate in any more altcoins that are premined in the attempt to keep cryptocoins alive.
copy coin -> premine -> dump premined coins on exchange -> profit needs to stop!
Do NOT dismiss every new coin, just those that are of the above kind. There certainly is space for innovation, but unfortunately it will be harder for new coin developers to establish themselves. They will have to INVEST in their new coin, and hope it will succeed, which will grand them more donations in the long run. Premine should be a red flag "no go" area for everyone now i hope.
From my observations, it seems that hazard is the guy behind most of those dump coins. He knows how to create new coins and is always there to put down new alts he himself wasn't involved in.
So someone who releases a coin deserves nothing? your a fool Quit whining.

I'll fill you in with the missing pieces for 1 BTC.

1.1 million premine. Go fuck yourself
boo hoo - god forbid if those who release coins want to have a piece for themselves. Anyone who whines about a pre-mine is an idiot.

Haters, did you know crapcoins, could actually be helping you mine more litecoins? Let me know if my theory is correct heres how: Because there is a restriction on the amount of coins produced, you need as few people as possible to mine the same coin as you. if half the people are mining these "crapcoins" and the other half are mining LITECOINS it means its easier for you to make money mining litecoins. if these half wernt mining the "crapcoins" then they will be mining litecoins and your earnings are halved, as the difficulty will be twice what it is now. Think of these new coins, that many times have a higher profitability than LTC, as a tool to get more LTC than you would have mining LTC.

waaaa waaa you have 100 posts. Your can't block people from announcing their coins. Then what? you'll whine that it was pre-mined?
If this is what keeps you up at night, its time to get a life.
I have a life outside the forums, which is why when I come here to catch up, I don't want to have to sort through the crap to find something of value. The fact that I have 100 posts means nothing but the fact that I like to read more than talk. Some people in these forums should learn to do such... BTW... look up my posts and let me know if you find any complaints of pre-mines. That's because I don't waste my time with crapcoins that are, which is 90% of what's been coming out. Read what? there is about 1% worthwhile information on any forum here. Tough like if you don't like sorting. Quit whining.

Oh no, some guy just made a valid point and now I look like a complete idiot! I know, I'll just click ignore, so I don't have to face just how much of a retard I am. Of look some clown with the net worth of $100 just made a point he thinks is valid, and now because he has all the time to post in the world (you know because you a failure in life, a loser, a bustout), hes back to troll. I'll pay you a few crumbs to get me coffee and fetch me lunch little troll. Buy a 45 and end it all - do everyone a favor.

Let's face it. These damn fly-by-night new coin announcements are annoying as shit. Not only are they crudding up the forums with spam and additional scammers, but they're hurting the overall cryptocoin ecosystem. There are a lot of people that say, "but this coin does this different" or "it should stop after coin x, because the rest are shite." I'm not going to lie, I mined some of them. FC2 because it was the first time I was able to solo mine something and get full blocks. I mined YAC too, and I think it's got something going for it, but not to the point where I'm dropping money on it. But now there's vaginacoins and (insert country name here) coins, and fastcoins, and slowcoins, and who-gives-a-shit coins. It's getting ridiculous. We need to stop it. So here's my proposal...
All new coins need to be voted on before they're allowed to be announced or released on this forum. Whether that be by poll, or by a group of mods/cryptocoin leaders that are well respected and trusted. If it gets a majority vote, it can be announced. If it fails, it doesn't get the time of day in the forums. If people try to post anyway, the post is deleted by a mod. Fuck em.
I used to like hanging out in this subforum because I learned a lot about LTC and such. Now I don't even want to look in here because of the 8,000 new coins posted everyday.
There are enough people here that are seriously getting tired of it. So stand up and do something about it.

GLD coin is looking good, mining going well, market price stabilized, don't listen to the haters, this coin is going places. The opinion of those on this board and what they think is legit, premined, or a coin with a future whatever means nothing.
This coin has a name, and a large community - other coins not so much.
Right, so, the fact that the crypto community hates this coin means nothing. Idiot. Bunch of crypto dorks and their mining rigs and tech know how mean nothing. Investors and real world use is all that counts. Sooner trolls like you realize that, the better. I have the ear of some friends at CME, who may invest some money in GLD. These people make more in a day than you make in a year. Guys who make millions upon millions in S&P and Eurodollar (nothing to do with the Euro) futures yearly if not monthly. People like you who troll these boards, with lint in your pockets, have no idea what money is, and have no idea what a few big investors can do for a coin. And this is pocket change to these people.

Is gld.cryptocoinmine.com's pool stats and block stats shown are in delay ? what is the local time set on the pool? Because I just found a block 20 minutes ago while mining litecoin for the past 2-3 hours.. or is it just my shares submitted found a block after I left the pool..?
You don't get paid until there are at least 120 confirms

Ahh cool thanks I got it now... The difficulty algo always try to match the difficulty and hashrate so the desired time of x minutes/seconds block time is hit.
|
|
|
So we have seen coins with 1 minute or less block times with orphans.
Whats not clicking for me is this: at 15 difficulty for example and a 1 second block time (just an example, could be 10, 20, 30 whatever), blocks won't be mined every second unless the hash rate if super high right? Or am I mistaken?
Also what does mining difficulty do to the speed of transactions? Or is the speed of transactions based solely upon nodes confirmation of the transaction?
So you have shiny new your orphanfest 1 second block time coin, difficulty is 15, and the hashrate is around 30 mH/s, and if the above is true that blocks aren't mined every second anymore, does that mean your blazing fast 6 second confirmation is out the window?

You supporters of gold are without a doubt the most naive people on the face of the earth. I provide actual proof in the block explorer of the Dev's addresses showing he had pre-mined most of the 10K blocks, and amassed around 1.6 million in coins before sending them off to?? where??
|
|
|
you just failed so bad at proving your point, two people replied back with screenshots showing us they mined them and it was not pre-mined, fuck off kiddo They didn't mine shit, the dev mined the first 150 x 10K verified 100%
