What the hell does this question mean?Huh   What???  Fire risk???  Please explain..

I ordered a KnC Jupiter a while back. One thing I've been thinking abut recently: Are these miners likely to be safe to leave unattended? I mean....I do need to leave the house once in a while. I wouldn't want to come back from shopping to find my house has burnt down. Unattendance recommendations?

If they are certified they will be. If not, you takes your chances.

its an electronic, it has a fire risk. whats to explain?

just common sense as with most electrical products..
eg. don't place news paper on top of unit.
don't block air vents and/or fans
     don't let kids near them.

I think they better include a user manual stating risks and proper use of product
just to be on the safe side.

Mined Shares:

14. merv77

Time   Transaction ID   Wallet   BTC   Type
2013-07-13 03:09:12   198355   19Fhv4FvgegtfK6frWmkNfBH6mtv4iACyU     0.00001906   Manual *LUCK SHARES INCLUDED* (21 Shares)

what does this mean.?  is this a payment?
if it is a payment, just letting you know nothing received in wallet.

Thanks anyway

If they're smart - and they are - they'll provide equipment reinvestment or pool participation as an option.  Hosting would facilitate this; in fact, such things might require hosted equipment.
hosting maybe a practical option but how can reinvestment help when difficulty reaches 1.6 billion and over?

400 GH/s with 1.6 billion difficulty and rate 1 BTC = $93 USD revenue for 1 month is $348.67 USD

what could be options to keep them running if hosting is costing $350 USD a month.

I know one option is for the value of BTC to rise, but this can't be controlled and it could also go down.

I'm not trying to put anyone off hosting or mining,
I just like to know more or maybe we can come up with some options here before deciding on hosting.

Hi

payment sent for 10 x USB Block Erupters
and sent you PM with my shipping address.

thanks

edit:
sorry it might take little more time for you to receive BTC payment.
I just sent payment 10 minutes ago and I just notice I'm still waiting for confirmations (4 of 6) so far for the BTC I just received not long before sending.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 11, 2013, 05:36:41 PM
So with an order today you expect a shipment when??
I believe if you contacted KnC they would say October.
there's never been any mention yet that anyone will be getting there miners in November.

So you're still in for a good chance at October delivery.

this is my thoughts only, but it does make sense  Smiley
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 11, 2013, 04:37:34 PM
I hate to compare, but even BFL doesn't allow for upgrades after the order is placed.
BFL did allow for upgrade options.
5GH/s to 7GH/s
and
Jalapeno to Little Single or Single.

you would think when ordering chips and circuit boards they (KnC) would order thousands at a time.
I don't think throwing a couple extra circuit boards in the shipping package with original order would slow the production line down.

And even if they did decide to install themselves you would think to add extra work force to keep up the production line original pace.

Well if this were my business that's how I would plan to run it.

hi
just to confirm is it 0.99 + 0.05 BTC each
I'd like 10 Block Erupters so is 10.4 BTC correct?
Cheers
No, you missed a decimal place in there. 10 * 0.99 + 0.05 = 9.95 BTC
Can you please put me down for 10.
How and when do I pay?

I will have BTC tomorrow for payment

Thanks

any idea when K1's will be ready to ship?

If waiting on Avalon chips, when are you expecting them approximately?
And how long after chips arrive will K1's be ready to ship?

Thanks
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 10, 2013, 01:38:47 PM

this is definitely getting very interesting  Shocked
815  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Krater Miner OFFICIAL THREAD (WORKING Avalon Clone w/ videos!) on: July 10, 2013, 12:06:04 PM
didn't Avalon sell the same thing for 75 BTC which were expensive anyway and you're asking 200 BTC.
Are these units built and available now?
816  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 09, 2013, 02:59:51 PM
Ok this is probably a stupid question, but i missed the answer:

Have the total of 10.000.000 shares been sold yet? In other words, if i want to get on the "first-shareholders protection" (paid 0.0025BTC/per share), can I still buy these (i would buy AMC-PT) or not?

There are plenty of shares left as of this writing.  You can purchase the shares on bitfunder.com asset ActiveMining or you can purchase AMC shares on bitfunder and tender them or you can purchase AMC-PT on BTC-TC and tender them.
probably another stupid question, again
but what's the difference if purchasing shares as you've mentioned above? (ActiveMining or AMC and tendering) and/or AMC-PT and tendering. Any advantages with any? and obviously which is less work for you Ken  Wink
817  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Are you interesting in Bitfury chips? on: July 08, 2013, 09:11:38 AM
Yes, $200 each chip Sad
are you sure? I think it may be $200 for 10 chips

@ $200 a chip it would cost to build a 100GH/s miner over $10,000.00

a 100GH/s KnC miner only cost $1,995.00 that's a saving of over $8,000.00
818  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Are you interesting in Bitfury chips? on: July 08, 2013, 08:02:20 AM
is that $200 each chip Huh
819  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: K1 Nanos - Big Picture Mining Cooperative on: July 07, 2013, 09:00:28 PM
I be interested in 30 of them in the $33 price range ($1,000) but only if I can pay via Paypal or postal money order.
same interest in price and payment

I used the UPS quote/calculator thing today and to ship 1x unit of Mercury from Sweden to Australia would cost me $550+ USD for shipping alone... that is not with any other fees or GST (which is payable on good purchased and imported to Australia over $1000 AUD)...
Currently KnC quote $172 for shipping a Mercury/Saturn/Jupiter to Australia
Previously before the design illustration changed it was $129
It looks like the dimensions and probably weight have increased.  Not that I care.  To me it's great sign as they must be getting closer to real product dimensions and specs.

BTW. I'm in Australia and I know that GST is payable on items over $1000, but not sure how this is applied to imported items delivered to the door.
Anyone from Australia have an idea?

I have no idea how they can pull that off. Do customers shipping lots of items get amazing discounts, or is the UPS calculator not worth a shit? Although A Mercury will apparently be 160 x 160 x 200 I put in 30x30x30 cm, I assume there will be some kind of things that need to go in the box, and of course packaging to keep it safe.

I'll take their word for it that they can ship for that price, but I still don't have $2167 anyway.  Cry

Also is the price shown for the units on their site USD? I suppose they could be doing geo-ip nonsense and it's in AUD, to me it doesn't seem so hard for them to add the currency to the end of the price.
Yes it's in USD, I bought Saturn $3795 + $129 shipping = $3924.00 USD and converted $4166.62 AUD (1 AUD = 0.9417 USD) on 3-June
