801  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Time is a Flat Circle on: June 21, 2015, 01:32:55 PM
Time is a flat circle and we are trapped in eternity, doomed to repeat our lives over and over again.Every murder victim, everyone who suffers from disease or poverty or injury is doomed to repeat the cycle of their existence. That is the Secret Fate of All Life. That is what Rust means by "time, death and futility."
Someone has been watching a little bit too much True Detective. You're aware this is a fictional television show, correct? What religion are you trying to replace with this time nonsense?
802  Other / Politics & Society / Re: end of days? on: June 21, 2015, 01:25:22 PM
i've been watching this youtube channel for a few months. it's mostly about current events. but he also makes alot of references to the new world order and the end of days in the bible. i am not religious. but i must admit he does a really good job at relating the bible to current events. his latest video throws up ezekiel 38-39 which says iran and a coalition of other countries will attack israel. after that he shows a video of russia and iran signing a military cooperation agreement a few days ago. again, i am not religious. but i have seen quite a few references about the end of days mentioned in the bible that have a very strong connection to current events. with the current state of the world and all the fucked up shit going on it doesn't take a wild imagination to consider our time might be coming to an end.

It is certainly the End of Days for organized religion in the first world, the internet will see to that within a generation or two.
803  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 21, 2015, 01:24:02 PM
The only kind of weapon I can see reason for to have..
Is a 9mm pistol in the nightstand next to your bed for safety if something should happen at home. (Home invasion or something alike)
Nope, there's no good reason for that either. The data shows that's much more dangerous for you and your family than NOT having that same handgun on the nightstand.

805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Bitcoin is just like as a Swiss Bank Acc for holding black money ?? on: June 21, 2015, 01:17:54 PM
what are you thinking  Huh
Swiss bank accounts are only for the rich and powerful, generally have $10,000 minimum, and you need to be able to afford to fly out to Switzerland every so often.
Bitcoin will do much more to raise up the poor of the world than people like I've described above.
806  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Is A Social Justice Warrior (SJW)? on: June 21, 2015, 04:26:53 AM
It's very annoying to me that it has become so trendy to be a SJW lately.
"Change makes me feel threatened."

Those being born right now are going to finish off your dying religion, seize and dismantle all your guns, and (transc)end your global economic system.

Suck it up Princess Peach, things change.
807  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sex behind bars. Conjugal Visits. Good or Bad? on: June 21, 2015, 01:04:13 AM
I don't think they even put people in jail more than a night for weed in most places unless it's a very large amount.  If someone can't handle getting laid for a night or two they need some sort of sex addict therapy.
There's maybe 4-5 states where that's the case. And 45 states where weed can still get you months - years depending on circumstances. Especially the southern states with the insane "3 strike" laws still on the books.
808  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Is A Social Justice Warrior (SJW)? on: June 21, 2015, 12:56:23 AM
You aren't convincing anyone cancer.
Of what, that words have meanings?

Voat.co servers shut down by provider hosteurope.de over 'political incorrectness'
The sjw is a very serious and dangerous bunch. Just like cancer.

Social justice is the view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities. Social workers aim to open the doors of access and opportunity for everyone, particularly those in greatest need.

Political Correctness is the avoidance, often considered as taken to extremes, of forms of expression or action that are perceived to exclude, marginalize, or insult groups of people who are socially disadvantaged or discriminated against.

Notice how these are two different things?
810  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What will you do to the society if you are a billionaire? on: June 20, 2015, 04:41:38 PM
These will be my priorities, if I ever become a billionaire.

1. Protecting forests and other biodiversity hot-spots such as coral reefs and glaciers.
2. Sponsoring family planning in third world countries such as Niger and Mali.
3. Helping people such as Ross Ullbricht and Edward Snowden, who are the victims of banker terrorism.
4. Encourage people to use organic food.
5. Establish a libertarian micro-nation.
This is a good list.

I shall have to establish a socialist micro-nation of my own. My first act as Grand Emporer shall by to invade your heathen "libertarian" nation, freeing all the oppressed workers within!

The Bitcoin Trillionaire wars are going to be fun.

If you want an example of a type of disease sjw is check out that on the point viewpoint video.
There's a difference between SJWs and stupid, brainwashed, misguided, puritanical religious SJWs! As an adult gamer I despise this type of shit.

Ye olde race card, how original.
This is what not having any valid argument looks like. I didn't play any cards, I merely laid out some demographic facts you didn't like. Or rather, you were upset by the obvious implications of these demographics, such as the fact that libertarians are mostly a bunch of privileged conservative white 'murican dudes on the internet.
i know it was not your intend but the whole argument did seem a little bit racially biased to me i mean can you even verify the credibility of all the demographics in the post.
This is the source, http://publicreligion.org/about/, you are free to dispute their credibility if that's your prerogative.
"Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to research at the intersection of religion, values, and public life." I don't see anything about race there, nor do I see anything referencing any actual studies. Without a source to a study, in effect what you are saying is "This group said some thing, and I am repeating it as fact without actually even verifying the data, because I agree with the conclusions." If you don't even know how to source your ideas, or verify the validity of them, why exactly should we take anything you say seriously?
History

Since our founding in 2009, PRRI research has become a standard source of trusted information among journalists, scholars, policy makers, clergy, and the general public. PRRI research has been cited in thousands of media stories and academic publications, and plays a leading role in deepening public understanding of the changing religious landscape and its role in shaping American politics. In addition to our monthly PRRI/RNS Religion News Survey conducted in partnership with Religion News Service and our annual flagship American Values Survey, PRRI conducts a number of major national surveys focused on a range of issues at the intersection of religion, values, and public life. Each year, the PRRI research team also publishes peer review articles based on our research in leading academic journals and books.

As I said, you are free to make a fool of yourself slandering this organization's legitimacy.

Gee, I guess I didn't see that the first time considering you added it after I replied.
Okay that's a fair criticism. I apologize, my posts are very rarely complete when I first publish them, I often do 2-3 minutes of editing to get them just how I want, it's quasi-OCD.

Thats why the preview button is there.
I know it, I don't use preview button on any forums I use, it drives people nuts but it's because previews very often don't display information the same as it will look when posted.

Of course this changes nothing about the data (facts) of this debate.

Usually, most intelligent people would conclude that the UK has a much lower population than the US, and thus cite statistics that are adjusted per capita, but you know better than that! Your cited chart is not adjusted for the population differences between the two nations.
Read the left side of the chart. WARNING: At your IQ, you may need to tilt your head to the left so your brain can process the information properly.

Because if a criminal wants a gun they are going to get it, law or no law. If the criminal has a gun I want one too.
It's much, much easier in America. In the UK we barely have any gun crime. Because guns are much, much harder to get hold of. It's not rocket science.

But to my understanding the UK has a much higher instance of burglary and breaking and entering.
Also more violent crime in general.
Not even close. First of all it's an apples to oranges comparison because England is tiny compared to the USA. You could take 2 or 3 of the most violent major us cities and have far more violence than all of the UK.

The data clearly shows that as gun ownership has been declining, violent crime and death has also declined.

That's England, roughly the size of one US state. 53 million people, the entire UK is 64 million people, the USA has ~320 million people.

Also, you should read this http://blog.skepticallibertarian.com/2013/01/12/fact-checking-ben-swann-is-the-uk-really-5-times-more-violent-than-the-us/

Above all, I'd fund research/education focusing on transcending crapitalism in ways that don't evolve mass numbers of dead people.

Free healthcare to as many as i can afford to provide it to.
Free radical education to as many as I can afford to provide it to.
Free shelter to as many as I can afford to provide it to.
Free food to as many as I can afford to provide it to.

819  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 20, 2015, 02:15:07 PM
Oh give me a break.  You just took a detour into total irrelevancy.  Tanks?  Really?
I'll give you the same number of breaks the national guard will give you if you ever challenge government authority when it comes to your "right" to use your guns: ZERO.

Relevancy-->
And correction:  YOU have priviliges.  I have freedoms.  Try to take them away from me.  I dare you.

we shouldn't even bother resisting or protecting ourselves from anyone!
You should always seek to protect yourself and your home from killers. A gun in the home is 22 (twenty-two!) times more likely to be used in a suicide, homicide, or accident than for self-defense.

Unlike random brainwashed internet conservatards with their useless anecdotes, data does not lie.

I'd be interested to know what you think about issue, in your own words, and without framing the issue in an infantile false dichotomy.
What, did you really think I linked material that opposes my own opinion on the matter? Not too fuckin' bright bro.

Why would I type something which has already been typed? This isn't the middle ages, we're not transcribing ancient texts for preservation here guys. This is the internet.

Still, I'll humor you as a show of good faith. Let's treat guns and cars the same!

-Gun licenses that prove competency
-Gun registration
-Mandatory gun insurance
-Education for misdemeanor offenses
-Suspension of gun license for multiple offenses
-Severe jail time for weapons used while under the influence of alcohol (or other drugs)
