801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 05, 2014, 11:57:04 AM
like a few others have said.....moving out of the Bit Coin forum is a two edge sword, sort of out of the public eye.
Just stay here and keep it cleaned up.
Good or bad....it's better to be talked about.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KARM] Karma / ₭ / X11 on: November 05, 2014, 12:22:48 AM
I left World coin when it went stagnant at one WdC to equal .01 uSD where it still is today bouncing between .01 and .017.
At one point it was just over .40 UsD to a Wdc.

Karma takes 5528 Karma to equal that same .01 UsD.

Since it looks like there is no future to many scrypt coins, Karma included, I sadly am selling off all my karma.
I mined and purchased it since April 2014 and it  was once worth just over $1000 UsD, about $400 of it purchased with BtC
back in June.

Sold on Cryptsy for around 45.00.
I gave it my all.

edit - glad it worked out for you kosmost
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 05, 2014, 12:03:07 AM
its been said alot here......only if they sell.
The coin will not be mired down in this forever.in fact it's really crazy low for what the coin can do.

Are you one of the ICO buyers or just making a comment?

804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 04, 2014, 10:02:57 PM
Sorry, MB can't hear you, although I saw a trace of a quote there.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 04, 2014, 08:55:19 PM
Where do all these trolls come from???

lol right? Just use the "Ignore" button, its what I do. Otherwise they cry cause I deleted err.. censored their valuable input.  Roll Eyes

Greatest thing ever invented for a forum....the "Ignore" button.
What I would like to know is why they feel they have to comment when they have little or no coin in their wallet....if they even HAVE a wallet.
What is their purpose? Why do they have to offer an "opinion" on something they're really not involved with?....
Other than seeing how many quotes they can stack up and how much FUD they can spread.

Thank you Dan for the update and releasing
all the details.
Most of us have known all along that you guys are pursuing
this scammer with a vengance.

At this point it looks like a civil case, do the devs think a criminal case is brewing as well?
Is there a British equivalent of FinCEN there?

Here, in the US a couple years ago there was a $600 million Ponzi called Zeek Rewards
(international in scope, google it to learn more),
once the Federal courts got done with the key people as a civil case (people got back about .35 on the dollar),
the criminal charges were filed and are currently being pursued.

Oh, keep this coin and its name going.
Emerging through all this will show ability, resolve and strength to the crypto community.
Stay on track guys!

The High Court may well be ultra-secretive and I would never want Syscoin or anyone to forfeit their rights.  I've tried to inquire about things I have presumed to be in the public record by looking at daily courts lists and such.  I do not know whether the current explanation about the absence of a case number is true or not - I haven't tried to look up the answer. I may have some time for that tonight or tomorrow.  In any case, I accept the possibility of 'no case numbers exist at this stage' being an adequate explanation. In such a situation, it would mean that I asked a question w/o proper foundational knowledge. If that were to be true, I can't say it won't happen again - I cannot bear to accept a world without case numbers (that's supposed to be a joke, btw).

Hey look at that.

That was "much ado about nothing" ....lol.
Did everything including accusing the devs of being in cahoots with "Alex Green" ....SMH
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 02, 2014, 09:38:20 PM
RIP this coin. No code update in about 2-3 weeks.

You guys are coder not lawyers, why aren't you coding ?

Dude, when you retain an attorney for most any kind of legal action , he gives you plenty to do so he can do HIS job.
Why are you coming here making comments like this?
Wanting to drive the price down so you can buy some cheap?

809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW and Darksend | Instant TX on: October 31, 2014, 01:35:41 PM

Try 10.15.17

Also, did you create a new wallet, or just updated the QT? For RC5, you need a new generated wallet or might run into issues

Doh, on the 29th 16 was still up that was my second try.
and yes I always to remove all parts of previous wallet.

Thanks all for input!
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW and Darksend | Instant TX on: October 31, 2014, 01:03:29 PM
Tried searching this up but no clear answer.

Just upgraded from the 9.12.32 wallet - ran fine - no problems
to 10.15.16 - uGH.

Synching is waaaay slow. Everytime  to change a tab the bar says (not responding) then it does.

I even installed twice. And my routine is to completey uninstall prev wallet (after copying dat file of course) , then using ccleaner both cleaner and registery cleaner, rebooting. Then run new wallet install. Opening new wallet, close....put new .dat file in and then let it synch up with nothing else running on computer.

Very rarely do I ever have a problem. 10.15.15 first time hung at 5 hours after running all night. Second try got it to synch very very slow but it did.
This morning its 30 hours behind and pretty much doesn't budge, still does the (not responding) for a sec when switching between tabs.

Any ideas, advice or experiences appreciated.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 31, 2014, 10:58:41 AM
Yes, it may take a while to sort all this out, but at least green hasn't
disappeared after all, interesting that a newspaper has located and interviewed him.

Also, that just after he acquires the "management" of Mintpal it gets "hacked".
Yeah ....right....by him.
weasel.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 31, 2014, 01:42:10 AM
Mintpal owners put the BtC he had around 4,000. Fear its gone.
You can buy a lot of representation if you have well over $1,000,000.
Scumbag.

815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 30, 2014, 10:33:14 PM
Wore, the biggest screw job was my very first experience in crypto.
Had a friend ( a Brit btw) got me into mining.
I mined a lot of World Coin back about a year ago when it was over .40 US a coin. Mounted up fast.
(keep in mind only about 50 coins in those days)
I also purchased shares in Scharmbeck, they were the devs offshoot and were hailed as
the coming "bank" that all WDC would process through ( or some such)
bought "shares" in that with BtC.

Well, it all came crashing down. various explanations but it all boiled down to scambeck (sic)
closed.$$ went poof!.....WdC crashing down to a penny where it stays today (still more than sys btw) and ol' Beach taking it hard and deep.
The legal route was a no starter since the devs were fighting and broke it all up and the scambeck dude went awol.

Big mess but, didn't involve near as much BtC as this moolah shareholder+ mintpal exchange funds + syscoin escrow cluster f*** that alex green has pulled off. He's a real piece of work.
This is way, way more BtC in total.
Of the three I would say only the Syscoin dev group has a prayer of recovering their escrow or at least part of it.
Moolah shareholders and mintpal exchange depositors are basically screwed.
I got most of my coins out of mintpal before they closed but had over a million in karma say it was "processed" but never received.
Also lost some syscoin and BtC. The reopening and listing wallet thing is bS.

The karma I mined starting in April, bought and held was worth over 1100 USD at one point but again dev drama BS crashed it hard.
Didn't see the signs , there was some funky stuff happening ....still have 25,000,000 worth 50 usd today.
No body to sue etc, met some nice people in that community though. Oh, and Mintpal was the MAIN Karma exchange, so ALOT of members have lost a ton in there since it seems most balances didn't make the jump to V2. Poof!....gone.

After that is only mostly smaller buys and crashes and there was Joker's Dragon crypto stock ( a forecasting company in BtC)....crashed when BtC did earlier this year and is worth about a tenth what I paid. All in all though, things have looked up . Syscoin mining from the getgo with a modest rig, bought a ton when prices fell in the sub 140's.
All in all the bag is in good shape with an average under 190 including the mined ones.
Have some cats and dogs coins but Syscoin is my long haul hold 'em.

Been an interesting year in crypto. One thing I learned ....every situation is different.
But, it seems a there are some Laws of Crypto.

Rule #1 - Buy a coin....it goes DOWN.
Rule #2 - Sell a coin...it goes UP.
LOL...
Rule # 3 - Hold a coin ....it goes Down
Rule # 4 - Watch a coin you WANT ....goes UP
Until you buy....then refer to Rule # 1

LOL...why do we do this?
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 30, 2014, 08:42:17 PM
The devs have said over and over....we'll tell you what we can when we can
without jeoparodizing our case.
Can't you get anymore plain that that?
Been trying to point that out. Nope, I don't reek of anything....lol.
My grandmother was 100% Scot though.

Watch twitter and explore some of the info.

And yes, I hold Syscoin ...a lot of it. I trust my instincts with this dev group and this coin.
I've "been screwed" by some experts in crypto, more than once. You just pick up and move on.
Nowhere will you find a sure thing.

Ask away, just please don't create post upon post MB style, it hurts most everybody's eyes.
Heck, even he calmed down after Dan asked him too.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 30, 2014, 06:55:39 PM
Agree with you 100% Snipsnoop.......problem is though, every statement you make trying
to assuage some unfounded fears , the tinfoil hat brigade just gets more
ideas for "questions" to keep the fud going.
Its endless and pointless and a huge waste of your time and energy.
it will be what it will be.
the devs have done everything to earn the community's trust ever since moolah pulled their stunt.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 30, 2014, 11:42:26 AM
You see guys....you got yourselves and and a few others all stirred up over nothing....NOTHING.
The devs don't have the time to respond to every dreamed up question.
They will respond as they can and when they can.
So just relax.
It reminds me of the character Emily Litella that was on Saturday Night Live many years ago that
would get all cranked up and ranting....find out she was wrong...calm down and say....
"OH....NEVER MIND."
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 29, 2014, 11:53:36 PM

....Aside from being rude, a lot of Moolah PIE holders said the same thing when it was pointed out that there were problems with their investment. Those investors got offended, told people leave, etc. Now, many are embarrassed and pissed off at themselves for not asking enough questions. So, now you tried to warn them as well? Asked a bunch of questions there too? And they all ignored you? Wow! You were very ahead of things ....
For some reason, you and a few others don't want independent verification of the representations being made to you.  For some reason, you and a few others don't want me asking for information that should be in the public record already (I can't find it). Me and a few others didn't ask you for your "verification". ....You realize the Syscoin folks, for whatever, agreed to partner w/ a very controversial company and individual?  Its a fact. At the time they weren't that controversial. He fooled a lot of people. It was simply a  British group partnering with a British company....It's actually a good thing since it turns out  they're able to pursue the scammer in British courts.. In another country they probably wouldn't stand a chance. Oh wait, you don't believe it.  ......You also undoubtedly realize that Ryan might be well a known scammer. Might be? At this point ... I would say it seems pretty certain. Why state the obvious?

I find it interesting that there wasn't enough red flags to move on to another partner. I find interesting that the only proof of what should be in the public record comes from tweets, instagrams, blog posts, and press releases (who does a press release for an injunction besides TMZ; who wants to announce via press release that they got scammed by a well known scammer - can't be good for business) produced by interested parties. I'm not making this up.  Why aren't you asking more questions?  .... And you only recently discovered these "controversies"  and "red flags" AFTER the crap hit the fan....just like a lot of other people. Why do you act like you knew it all along?

I hope I'm barking up the wrong tree.  If it turns out I am, I will apologize and admit the same.   No need to apologize....just sell your "tips", go away and go play somewhere else

You are officially on my fecal roster  aka "Ignore" along with "Dumbo".
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 29, 2014, 11:20:15 PM
so.... the Syscoin devs  have gone to all the trouble of hiring a law firm to pursue
a scammer they're in bed with? Amazing. Oh and the law firm must be in on it too. WoW!

I guess you see things under the bed, at your windows and watching you through your computer.
Please take your fud and "questions" elsewhere. Bugging the devs when they have their hands full is very distracting.

To repeat...I've made my choices.....if I lose I lose. At this point its over 2 BtC.

ps....do you really THINK....a scammer isn't going to give you the answer to your question that you want to hear?
That's how they work. You have to move past inane "questions" and check things a little deeper.

Crypto markets will skin you until you learn....and some never do.

What amazes me is usually the fudders with very little to nothing in a coin.....stir up the most crap.
