Bitlish is also listed as exchange for BCA
i've never heard of this exchange. ever. you'd be better off withdrawing to a wallet you control. wait for the fork, send your bitcoin out to another wallet you control and then sweep the bitcoin atom private key into coinomi. sit back and wait to see how bitcoin atom trades. if it's popular it'll wind up on other exchanges.

its nice but this will never pass bitcoin
of course not. does it matter? if it has some cool ideas it might make some people a bit of money. if it has some really cool ideas it might stick around. at least it's trying to do something beyond just being a fork for the sake of it.

so tomorrow is supposedly when they release the second round of coins but i've noticed they've removed january 24th as a thing from their website. is anyone expecting anything from tomorrow other than ruin?
i followed the steps. i'm still showing up as a zero on the ub explorer. it's still showing this unutilised crap with no explanation as to what it actually means.

i think it's more like a self fulfilling prophecy. people want to find higher authorities to follow no matter what most of them claim.
in reality futures volumes are pathetic and there is no real bitcoin involved but enough people believe it must be more legitimate because wall st brought it so they'll become slaves to it.
traders used to watch okcoin futures carefully. they're gonna watch this even more so. it's dumb but there you go.

You don't need ledger to do anything.
Move your coins after whichever fork into another wallet.
Pull out the private key.
Get a new seed for the ledger and send your BTC back to the new address.
There's no risk, just some hassle.

It's gonna be interesting to see which alt will start to airdrop on people in the same way.
There ain't many out there who have enough bitcoin to get a significant amount of these forked bitcoins.

never? alts have been getting stronger since 2015. it's clear that many noobs have no interest in bitcoin. all they want to do is gamble at the alt casino.
it's dumb to think money would unite behind one coin, especially one that isn't interested in the things other coins are. it's not a threat to bitcoin, it's an expansion of crypto in general.

the returns are already diminishing. with alot of the forks around now you can't find one single wallet. you have to throw together python scripts and try to find a node to move these coins.
there's no threat any more. bcash is the only one that had a real chance. everything else will fade into nothing.

crypto is much much worse than any stock. there are no laws controlling trading, a whole lot of obfuscation and lies and millions of very stupid and greedy people. if you don't like it then leave because it ain't improving any time soon.

it is posible keep the BTC and claim de BCA apart? how can we do it?
all you have to do is send your bitcoins to a new wallet after the fork and then use the private key for the bitcoin atom. then it doesn't matter any more. the only possible hassle might be if you're storing your seeds. you'll need to update them.

the writer really, really should've figured out long before now that market cap is an empty figure.
no doubt they made out with a bunch of money. it was never anywhere near the billions.

There is so many forks that I don't even want to bother myself moving funds from my wallet (and risking to get my coins stucked somewhere or any other issue) to claim this garbage. Tbh I still didn't get my BCH (mainly because I had a small amount of BTC at the times of fork). Now my strategy is to keep it till the next year and maybe then I will by myself some beer and snacks for that dust that I'll get from my wallet. Don't recommend anyone to focus on those forks.
all you gotta do is transfer from one wallet you control that had coins at the time to another wallet you control. i had a ledger. i sent the btc out. pulled out the private key and suddenly i had more forks than i knew what to do with.
|
|
|
please explain why.
it's happened before. it's threatened all the time. as far as i can tell some museum workers don't get paid for a while and then a few weeks later everything gets back to normal again. the true agents of chaos carry on getting their wages.
|
|
|
i seem to be finding more forks every single day.
what are your strategies with all these forks? do you insta dump, wait for the pump, or not bother at all and leave your bitcoin where it is?

cryptopia have had the decency to come out and say they basically can't cope with the amount of new customers they're getting. hitbtc is a real weird operation. it's been going for long time now but i've rarely heard positive things about it.

if any coin attracts the attention of regulators it's gonna be this one. i can easily foresee regulated exchanges being pressured to drop it as a trading option. that won't of course affect anything p2p but it may not help the price.
either way it has a significant future even if it does become a bumpy one.

volatility will never be tamed. there are a few factors that make it extra volatile - 24/7 trading worldwide, twitchy and inexperienced traders, a lot of general legal uncertainty.
the latter should be ironed out. i don't think the first two ever will. i expected it to much less volatile at this price level but it seems kinda the same as it always was.

I wish them luck with the new distribution but there's no way I'm linking my ID to any one individual address.
Aside from not having a clue who jumio is, I have no plans to stick with only one wallet.

Before I get started on this process, I thought I'd ask here:
Does anyone familiar with a Ledger Nano S know if there is a way to sweep an old btc paper wallet to it by just scanning the QR? I'm away from home and trying to help someone make that move and split off the clones. I've used coinomi, but the btc amount is enough to give me pause; the shitcoins we don't care, but it scares me to sweep xx btc to that sketchy wallet. Don't want to set up another wallet. Sweeping to an exchange is out due to withdrawal limits.
TIA
use the mycelium cold storage spending function. get the ledger's address up in the app ready to roll. scan the paper wallet private key. scan the the ledger address. done.

outside of off topic junk threads, this thread must have the highest newbie account ratio on this forum shilling in both directions. it's kind of depressing to witness.
