Thanks! I may try it in the future, even if I’m very cautious about those services as they are essentialy online wallets, which is the worst that was introduced to bitcoin . In the past there were services like that, and I used I think 3 of them. All of them closed at one point and the funds were lost. So maybe this service is more trustworthy, but I’m not shure about that in this moment. I did try them at some point when I really needed them and IIRC, I had problems with the verification process, not sure what was causing the issue but from the look of it (if you check online) a few people had similar issues at the time. It could be related to Ondato (their KYC provider) and not necessarily the service itself. I do know some people who had a good experience with them though, and you can find a few on Reddit. I just tried to find some recent reviews about them, and I did find a couple of people who had issues, from a few months ago. And when I checked their Twitter (I'm guessing that's how you found them?), I noticed that they have just woken up after a long period of inactivity[1] (~2 million views if we combine the last two posts, so they're probably displaying ads and taking marketing more seriously) so it's very possible that they have fixed the issues they used to have. Alternatively, Paywithmoon[3] (very similar to spendl) used to offer cards that support Apple Pay but they stopped issuing them a couple of months ago and they are now looking for a new partner, maybe you can wait or ask them when they're relaunching.

I'm guessing you don't have your seed phrase? Since want to know if the wallet file is encrypted, try to open it using notepad.
If you see random characters that you don't understand -> file is encrypted.
If you see your addresses and everything, scroll down to "xpriv". If its value starts with "xpriv" you're good, if it's anything else, it also means your private keys are encrypted.
I couldn't find much about the error you mentioned, but assuming this is a compatibility issue, you should be able to read the wallet using an older version.

Are you referring to the site's fees for selling and buying? or the rates?
With the shutdown of Paxful, I'm afraid there are no other good alternatives. Most P2P platforms left don't support gift cards.
If you want to eliminate the fees, then you could use the Digital Goods board here in the forums. As for the rates, then the ones on the site you mentioned seem quite reasonable. Anything higher than 20% discount is a red flag.

I know Bybit and Binance had a promotion not a long time ago, you can double check but I believe they both ended. So you've only got MEXC left and it's applicable to all trading pairs: Start time: 16:00, April 1, 2023 (UTC) End time: Until further notice Applicable pairs: All spot trading pairs on MEXC

Thanks again OmegaStarScream for your instant reply. I went through it and found it very interesting. I would need some time to understand it.
Check the second part of this article that came out yesterday[1]. I haven't tried this myself, but apparently, you should be able to use alby to achieve what you want. You will still need to buy your own server and domain, but you won't have to install or run anything. [1] https://decrypt.co/137557/how-michael-saylor-create-bitcoin-lightning-email-address

Did you export -> manually change -> and import your requests by any chance? There was a similar problem reported not a long time ago: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/8232Are you getting that message when creating a receive request, or when clicking the "Sign message" button? I don't see how you would get it in the latter, since you're not limited to certain characters when signing a message.

I am really sorry for that, yes it is down. The server has crashed down for some reasons and the support team is not responding to my tickets. I will let you know when it is back online. P.S It is my first priority to find a better server so we don't face such issues in future.
What are you currently using? Have you considered using AWS API Gateway? There's a free tier available, so that's 1 million API calls received free (per month) for the first year.
|
|
|
Is the API down at the moment? I'm trying to use Socket to watch an address and I keep getting a timeout error. I'm basically doing the exact same as you are doing in the documentation, just in Python instead: import socketio
sio = socketio.Client() sio.connect('https://btc.merapi.io/global')
@sio.on('spent-address-X_ADDRESS') def on_spent_address(data): print(data)
sio.wait()

Make sure that you have your wallet's seed first, and then try to delete the folder: Run Electrum again -> Restore your wallet (with the seed) and see if the problem persists. If it does, then I guess you should just go ahead and update. It's always recommended to use the latest version anyway.

|
|
I tried the 4.0.9 portable version, and I couldn't reproduce the problem you're having. Does this happen with any transaction you make or just with a specific one?

Why would Binance support the lightning network when they can sell you WBTC in BSC. As for Coinbase, then they already made a statement a couple of weeks ago about it if I'm not mistaken. They have plans to integrate it.

Since the exchange have been mentioned above, you can check this[1] first to have a better idea about the liquidity in each one of them. You should also keep in mind that most (CEXes) mentioned do not support gift cards like LBC and Paxful used to. [1] https://monetory.io/en
