801  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Kohls Cash Bulk on: December 06, 2016, 09:57:46 PM
Two of my orders worth about $150 each got cancelled. I called kohls.com, and they transferred me to the fraud department. They said kohls cash I used were fraudulent.

I am waiting for the seller to either refund me or provide me with replacement codes.

-UPDATE-
seller has been ignoring me despite multiple attempts to contact him.

I was looking to buy, but this got me worried.

Why would this be the point that you got worried.  New account selling things for 20% off doesn't scream fraud to you?  If it is too good to be true, it probably is.  No one can legitimately run this type of business.

803  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: zcash/ETH GPU mining system for sale - 1140 sol/s - $1200? on: December 06, 2016, 06:48:28 PM
Are you interested in selling everything but the 7950's?

So on the A4 Batch 3 (v2.01 firmware)....

Back to solo LTC pool.... the A4s B3/v2.01 are running well there.

Stressed out by these miners struggling to survive in a multi coin pool.

Anyone can recommend a reliable LTC pool?

So why did I pay 1800$ for a single coin miner again???

Definitely having second thoughts about buying one, especially since they just quoted shipping price of $256 for a single unit!  That comes to $2056 for one of these!
Is that the BTC price, or the wire price?

Wire price, they want me to wire $2056 USD for one unit
Thanks.  They wanted 100 extra for BTC, per unit.

Oh really?  They didn't even give me a bitcoin option, but that's crazy.

It doesn't sound like they will be selling them, just building and running them themselves, unless I missed something?
808  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Lending on: December 06, 2016, 01:10:39 AM
It isn't a great rate for bitcoin land, but is pretty good when it comes to fiat rates.  You can reasonably average 5 to 8% per year buying stocks, but that isn't guaranteed.  I have noticed interest rates going down all over bitcoin land as of recently.  It seems as we are getting bigger and safer, interest has an opposite effect.
809  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Taxes on Bitcoin on: December 06, 2016, 01:04:39 AM
Those who think that no taxes need to be paid are about to find out otherwise.  Wink

https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/914226/download

Orders to turn over all transaction records are being sent to exchanges and software to determine ownership of addresses has gone live. If you are caught cheating on your taxes you will wish you had just paid them. It would have been far cheaper.

The US has made a start, but all governments are sure to follow suit. As long as you keep your bitcoins, the government will decide to ignore you. Once you convert it to fiat or spend it, the taxman will start breathing down your neck.

I wouldn't get too worried they are concerned with the big tax cheats and not the small fish like most of here are.  They do not have the resources to hunt down every person that owes the IRS 10 bucks in taxes

Sigh, a couple of good quality posts and then back to utter shit.  It's OK to do because you probably won't get caught.  Real good advice to give you idiot.

Sorry I'm trying to be some what logical and look at what it really means.

Better make sure you the pay tax man his share when you sell those baseball cards cuz the nsa is watching your every move.

Your talking to a CPA.  It would be against my oath to taxpayers and the government if I were to not claim that money.  Because, once again, lets break the rules if we might not get caught, way to live your life.

I received a reply back for pricing from Innosilicon for pricing from single units up to group buy pricing, but I am wondering if it is worth it at this point.  I believe, if the machine works as intended at the advertised speed and whatnot that they will make money, the question is, will it be stable?

Are people finding that these are remaining stable with the most recent version of miner and firmware?  I don't want something I will have to check on every couple of hours.

The jury is still out on that, I'm afraid.  I'm ready to pull the trigger if/when we see some stability, but it hasn't happened yet.

Yea, my thoughts exactly.  I would probably buy 2 or 3, mine with them and stick a few on amazon, but if they aren't stable, then there is no reason to at this point.

813  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Innosilicon A2 TERMINATOR Mega 110MHs Scrypt Miner [US 48 ONLY] 1.0 BTC on: December 05, 2016, 05:44:07 PM
Does it come with a PSU?

With the price increase will you take .8 for it?

Yes, it's complete. Plug it in and go.
No, firm @ 1BTC

As I said above, it's .9 + shipping in my mind.
I just sold my other one on Craigslist with a lot of grief and aggravation but got $950 for it locally (BTC1.25.)

Sounds good, let me see how my bets go on the NFL today, and that will determine if I take it or not.

If you bet against the Giants then it's BTC2 for you.

Good call on the Giants game, ended up winning about 1.65 btc yesterday on sports.  But I also got an email from Innosilicon about the A4's, so I am currently deciding if I want to buy the A4 or A2.  I will let you know.

I would like 4 of the $8.50 risers please.

EDIT:  You wouldn't happen to have any longer than 30cm would you?

I would be happy to help you out at 4% with cash in the mail.

thats like waiting for a letter from a deadman

He messaged me and said we had a deal, i messaged him back to set things up, but haven't heard back.  Pretty sure it was a scam attempt because he wanted 1 btc up front before he sent the cash, but also offered escrow.  Pretty sure it was a lame scam attempt.
818  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: gpuShack 5-gpu and 4-gpu bundle price reduction. on: December 04, 2016, 04:25:19 AM
I have a question about the 5 GPU bundle, is it possible to get the bundle without the SSD and ethos?  I already have a HD ready to go with Windows loaded on it.  If so, what would the price be?

Also, would you be willing to ship first or use escrow?
819  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: December 04, 2016, 04:19:57 AM
As a miner, is there any program or way to track multiple addresses that I currently have hashpower pointed at?  I want to get my rigs seperate so I can track individual profit, but checking each address manually takes a while.

If you have any scripting experience, it looks like the API could gather the data you need--https://www.nicehash.com/?p=api

Specifically, this call:  stats.provider - Get current stats for provider for all algorithms. Refreshed every 30 seconds. It also returns past 56 payments.

Yea I have seen that they have an API, and had mentioned it to my brother as a possible small job for him to work on (He is a web developer), but that is something I probably couldn't do.  Was curious if there was any premade thing like that or if I should have him work on it.
820  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are Venezuelan not switching to Bitcoin? on: December 03, 2016, 10:39:52 PM
Is there anyone from Venezuala who is willing to ship their currency to me?  I am looking for a few hundred US dollars worth of Bolivars, and there will be a nice profit for the person who sends them to me.
