801  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: March 23, 2017, 04:21:40 AM
What do you think about the fact that cryptocurrencies will literally be the future ? In a few years, it will exploded and, be rich if we hold many ?

i agree with the idea but your subject sucks badly. because it is kinda implying that you make more money as in fiat with holding cryptocurrency. but if you really believe that cryptocurrencies are the future and have that much potential then you should have only said hodl them for the future to be rich with crypto.
802  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy back up! (again) on: March 23, 2017, 04:14:08 AM
How low will it go? I expect to see 800 soon

you can keep on expecting and waste your time because there is no reason at the moment for price to go that low. there are lots of buy support and also what most people don't realize is that traders and market makers don't care about the drama. they are only trading bitcoin and want to buy cheap coins from you to make even more profit when you buy it back from them with higher price.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: March 23, 2017, 04:08:39 AM
I do trading to make money in a very slow steady pace. I gamble for fun with the hope of striking it big. Trading is much lower risk than gambling (at least in games like dice).

the risk alone is not important and it is not the factor you should look at. for example in a dice game you can easily change the risk to a lower amount to win 98% of the time for example.
instead you should look at risk versus reward. if you are taking a small risk but taking a decent reward then it is a good thing. for example if you had 98% chance of win and could make a 100% profit then it was good. but when you can make a small amount with high chance it is worthless.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: March 23, 2017, 04:00:25 AM
Trading will be in the air. Because it is easy to trade than to gambling. You just need knowledge on how to trade and it is for winning side of the trade by just buy low and sell high. Therefore it is for the winning side the prediction is correct when you master the trading specially the forex trading. You must think out of the box to be able to win in the game.

Trading is not easy by any means, It's a zero sum game, meaning that some people have to lose in order for others to win. You say that you just need knowledge, but everyone has access to the same information and everyone make their moves basing on some analysis. There's no 100% certainty or predictability in trading. Even the best traders still suffer loses on a significant amount of their positions, so it's even worse for newbies, who usually are the losers that ensure profit of more experienced traders.

not really. there are losers obviously in trading and there are winners but it is not really a 1:1 thing. it can be very different proportions.
for example you can buy at $1020 and sell to somone else at $1040 and that someone else sells at $1060 can you tell anyone is a loser here? no. everyone wins. trading is not just buy low and sell high to win or buy high and sell low to lose.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 1400 on: March 23, 2017, 03:54:22 AM
Bitcoin to 1430 - 1500

1065 now.

stops
980 short term
890 mid
698 long

Bitcoin will have a fight at the all time high mark, so around 1165, then after that it's anywhere from 1500 to 10000, nobody can ever tell you how high it will go after all the ATH is smashed.

for me the pice 1430 looks important. i dont know how price will reacten when 1430, we could do barrer roll to 250 again or go higher.

you think price might roll back to 250 USD?Huh  that will never happen ..
yes ,there is no reason why that could not happen, we dont need to think about that right now however, lets make 1400 first and then see.
the nature of bitcoin is still very volatile, isnt that's why we like it folks?

and yes there is no reason for earth not turning supernova and anhialates all of us in a second.
so do we need to consider that possibility too?
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want hardfork? on: March 23, 2017, 03:50:42 AM
The poll is not valid, since Segwit is not a hardfork,

this is what i wanted to say too.

and why does everyone speaks as if a fork is about to happen. well let me break your bubbles, it is not going to happen. it is the same 1 pool that switched and it is the same percentage hashrate and it will continue being the same hashrate %
and their number of nodes is not going to go any higher either.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Central Bank Requiring Extreme Customer Verifications at Exchanges on: March 22, 2017, 04:54:03 AM
(snip)
when you want to trade stocks, you write out all your life story and how you got your money to the last cent and hand it over with a smile on your face to the government. (snip)

Uhh, no. I never have done anything the least bit like this for any fiat investment. SSN and date of birth and mother's maiden name and all that, but nothing beyond the necessary details to ID me.

then what about all those information that you hand out to IRS (or equivalant in your country) which is in full details.
forr example while trading bitcoin in US, the IRS sees it as a capital gain and you need to report all the transactions with full record whether it was trading or it was spending. they have been calling it "capital asset" since 2014
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Central Bank Requiring Extreme Customer Verifications at Exchanges on: March 22, 2017, 04:30:58 AM
maybe Chinese government is a little bit extreme but surely the news sites are making it out to be 20 times bigger than it is. and i don't get what is up with the terms like "extreme ...verification"!!

when you want to trade stocks, you write out all your life story and how you got your money to the last cent and hand it over with a smile on your face to the government. but when it comes to bitcoin everyone is so weird about doing practically the same thing! as if the money you buy bitcoin with is different from the money you buy stocks or anything else with!!!
809  Economy / Speculation / Re: Almost 1,100 on: March 22, 2017, 04:26:08 AM
Well the recovery was fast, although the supposed cause isn't exactly resolved yet, so we might still see a few sudden drops here and there.

the "supposed cause" was large scale FUD so yes you are right we are always under attack from FUDsters but FUD has a short lifetime, it can not last forever.
and the reason for FUD or at least the way FUD is used is the price goes down so that those market makers can buy cheap coins before it goes back up. it has always been like this.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Run up to Fork, buying price pressure? on: March 22, 2017, 04:14:41 AM
Given the ETH/ETC DAO split, with people ending up having coins on both chains, reaping a windfall, this time people may buy BTC as a way to end up on both chains. BTU/Core may be see as an ICO for that coin?

if true, price would have been already above $1500 and not slowly accumulting towards $1100 with a hard time.
this is just a normal come back of those who sold, buying back in with more money at their disposal.

what you don't realize is that market doesn't care about bullshit. and since there is not hardfork on the way in the near future there is no reason for panic selling or panic buying at all.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as primary currency in Norway on: March 22, 2017, 04:09:22 AM
the title of this thread has misleading me because i thought the whole of norway has decide to accept bitcoin as the primary currency on that country but looks like only one city had admit it however this is good move and i wish there will be another country considering bitcoin as a part of the currency for their country

i agree but it is always like this, there is small portion of a country accepting bitcoin and people go nuts. although i have to say it is good to see a new adoption, and a real usage for bitcoin in the real world despite all this drama that is circling in the bitcoin community.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: SATOSHI - BTC 32 MB Blockchain Size on: March 21, 2017, 04:05:39 AM
Hello professionals,

I am amatour but I know that Satoshi created Bitcoin with Blockchain size like 32 MB.

1. Who and why changed it to 1 MB ?
2. Why can`t we back to 32 MB ?

i have always heard that there were no limit for block size. so i am very interested to know where you brought your 32 MB from. can you provide a reference for what you said?

but i know that Satoshi set the limit of 1 MB because there were fear of spam attack that can fill the blocks up fast and with useless transactions and waste space. so the limit is there to prevent flood!

p.s. why did you post this question in Economics board?!
813  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: March 21, 2017, 04:00:46 AM
Bitcoin - gold will hold its purchase value if something goes wrong with the US dollar, while bit coin will skyrocket if something goes wrong with the US dollar.

Bitcoin will probably skyrocket and gold will hold steady even if things are fine in the US due to everybody already knowing about gold, and adoption of bit coin driving prices.

Both are good at there own way, but btc price goes much higher than the gold, reason why people trust gold it is existing from the centuries and changing the mindset of the people are not so easy, As we all know btc is decentralized so becoming much popular among the public is difficult but still we can say that it will become the best option for the btc users.

The supply of gold is not limited so it will never go to extreme high level in future but the bitcoins are very limited and that makes it unique as when demand will get higher in future it will have huge impact on the higher price of bitcoin and if people understand this then they will start investing in bitcoins.
No, the gold is having a limited supply. because the gold is a commodity. The community take the valuable of the gold from his beauty. It's different with the bitcoin caused by the bitcoin. because a lot of the people are taking the value of the bitcoin from the usefulness of the bitcoin itself. You can't compare the bitcoin and the gold in this time.

gold has no beauty! it is a rough yellow metal.
it is shaped into a beautiful thing.

and gold takes its price from its usefulness and limited supply. it is used as a jwelery, it is used because of its conductivity in electrical stuff which need that, it is also used in many other parts of science like the cancer pills transmiting the drug to the cells. and a lot more.

bitcoin is the same too, it takes the value from usefulness and limited supply. you can use it as investment or transferring money either just a simple money transfer to someone you know or small purchases with it.
814  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: March 21, 2017, 03:49:17 AM
in my experience the risk that gambling has you can't find that in anywhere else. and it really doesn't matter what type of gambling we are talking about. people usually fool themselves with "skill-based" gambling and think they can beat the odds and get lucky. but in the end the risk is still there but it is masked away and they don't see it.

on the other hand the risk of trading is also always there but i always find it ridiculous to compare that risk with the risk of gambling!
815  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is going to be good for Bitcoin some day, HODL on: March 21, 2017, 03:37:45 AM
these days, with all the fights and bullshit FUD the only group that is being affected is the regular users and newcomers. they see the drop, they see the bullshit and lies which is flying around everywhere and they will run away. and then in a month or couple when things go away and back to normal you hear people ask why bitcoin is not yet adopted!
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of work debate? Threatened 51% attack due to fork debate on: March 21, 2017, 03:31:56 AM
well if BU or any other different thing forks with a small portion of the hashrate and separates itself from the network that way, yes that 51% is something to worry about and they would deserve to be under attack if they do that.

but if it forks with majority, which is what i understand the aim is, there will be no 51% attack because the remaining hashrate that is not accepting BU or any other proposal is not going to be big enough.
817  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing/Trading Bitcoin on: March 20, 2017, 05:00:40 AM
Eth has been gaining potential as a better investment than bitcoin with its increased value and reaching close to $60. At the same the investment guides suggest it as an temporary surge. High risk involved as well the profiting is on one's one ability to predict the price move.

all the altcoins can be much better investments than bitcoin only if you are comparing them short term otherwise nothing can beat bitcoin in the long term.
the altcoins get pumped easily and that is why they are profitable like this. you should only get in early and get out fast and early too if you want to remain a winner in altcoin trading.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: how much do you earn with 25$ investment on: March 20, 2017, 04:49:57 AM
You can't expect much if you have only $25 to invest and to invest that amount I think altcoin is the right place as you can buy altcoin even with a small amount and start trades with it but the profit margin will be low as the investment is not too high but its good to start off and start making slow and steady profits which is always better then loosing money in gambling.

someone who only has $25 to invest, surely has no idea about what trading is, and certainly can not trade altcoins with their huge volatility and the fact that they are not predictable AT ALL.
in that case suggesting to get into trading is not really a good idea. unless he has more money but the $25 is the amount that he is willing to invest. something like 2% of his whole money!
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nizk Szabo: "Jihan talks likes an old-style Communist: "markets are unfair"" on: March 20, 2017, 04:24:43 AM
this main board is now officially turned to shit!

we have on one hand pereira4 and lots of others, mostly brand new accounts creating topics and comments of child-like insults against anything BU related.

and we have on the other side kiklo and lots of others creating the same thing about SegWit!

and the funny part is that all of these efforts are useless. you lot are only kids fighting each other while everybody else is doing there thing.

i sometimes wonder how old some of you are Cheesy
better tell us how many sathoshis do you have weekly from your accounts in signature campaigns  Wink

i get 1 satoshi yearly from my signature campaign.

did that fix the issue of child-like nonstop-spamming in this board and other boards from all you and ather people's alt accounts? or did that help you grow up and think and behave like an adult Cheesy
820  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: March 20, 2017, 04:17:18 AM
i say the price is going to be fluctuating even more in this week until the whales can fill their bags with bitcoin with very cheap prices preferably under $1000

you know that all those 200BTC batches that were dumped on $1200+ should be bought back now so that you can make profit.
