Not only are miners dumping, some of the dev premine is probably being dumped.

I don't think so.  Butalik indicated that they may have sold 0.5M ETH to the chinese as a private sale.  Read his blog (read it all...).
à
How does Butalik hint at something? Doesn't he know?

Have you done any research on ETH?  You don't know who he is?  He is Ethereum.

EDIT: In case you missed page 185... https://blog.ethereum.org/2015/09/28/the-evolution-of-ethereum/

Quote
...my much delayed answer to “how did your China trip go?”), which includes (i) an agreement to purchase 416K ETH, which has already concluded, (ii) an upcoming conference in October, (iii) a non-profit blockchain research institute, and (iv) a $50m blockchain venture-capital fund, all with emphasis on Ethereum development. I fully expect that within six months the Ethereum for-profit ecosystem may well be much more well-capitalized than the Foundation itself.

Yeah. I mostly see Butalik writing articles for the various fake news magazines that him and his friends manage. I saw him in a video interview saying he would leave Ethereum if it stopped receiving support.

They never showed the public any receipts of where the money went.

A bit late to start asking questions after 18 months...   This is why public companies are required to report every quarters.

That wasn't a question. I asked the question a year ago. Still nothing. Just a 1 page document. That's really it. All there financial records on 1 sheet.

How the HELL did Ethereum run out of money?HuhHuh  $10 million wasn't enough? $15 million?

VB is blaming it on Bitcoin price when ETH was one of the biggest entities suppressing that price!!

WHERE DID THE MONEY ACTUALLY GO?

Looks like the Goldman Sachs executives that pulled this one off did pretty good for close to zero work.

Quality of code aside, the finances of this project are a joke and an embarrassment. And VB's excuses are pathetic.

826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: September 28, 2015, 11:33:03 PM

Synereo looks like the next big thing as of right now but after researching them more they are big supporters of NATO (No Action Talk Only).

That's an interesting characterization. We have released several updates to the code and made the Synereo node available for anyone to use as an AMZN AMI. A Docker container for the Synereo stack will be available soon. Additionally, we have created and checked in an updated version of the UI and gotten feedback on that. Beyond that we've helped LivelyGig get their stack together, which is coming along nicely, and relies on the Synereo stack. This will, in turn, provide the basis for the next version of the Synereo UI as we move away from Haxe and begin to use scala.js + react on the front end much more aggressively. Additionally, we have been working intensively to help Ethereum get Casper (their proof-of-stack protocol) to a point where it runs and people can play with it. You can follow all our checkins on all of these efforts on github. Beyond that we have held weekly community hangouts to communicate the results of each week's work and have conducted dozens of due diligence engagements with angels and vc's. That's an amazing 6 months of "no action". ;-)

Here is a third party evaluation of what you have done:

- You set up your own stack on AMZN.
- UI is garbage
- Helped a friend use your stack
- Planning to switch programming languages (because UI is garbage)
- Working for Ethereum
- Meeting up once a week to talk

827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 28, 2015, 11:30:39 PM
I could never recommend selling Ethereum if you own it because it has such big potential but I'm definitely looking for the next big project that can deliver on expectations. Synereo looks like the next big thing as of right now but after researching them more they are big supporters of NATO (No Action Talk Only).
even worse, synereo is a israel company.

Isn't this like the 50th altcoin by members of omni? U fkers gotta be loaded with btc.

Omni can't seem to get any coins on an exchange other than https://masterxchange.com/

No volume on that site. No money to be made. Less volume than bluetrade, cryptopia, c-cex, empoex, bittrex, cryptsy and poloniex.

Synereo should try to get on other exchanges. People might hate this coin because its 100% premined but you never know.

Existing Wallets:
Crowdsale Wallet (184800000 AMPs)
User Reward Wallet (100000000 AMPs)
Content Creator Wallet (75000000 AMPs)
Founder Reward Wallet (100000000 AMPs)
Bounty Wallet (115000000 AMPs)
Future Funding Wallet (425200000 AMPs)

AMPs will be divided to wallets with this distribution:
18.5% will be placed in the Crowdsale Wallet.
11.5% will be placed in the Bounty Wallet, awarded to contributors and developers.
10% will be placed in the User Reward Wallet, awarded to users as they join the network and invite others, contributing to its growth.
7.5% will be placed in the Content Creator Wallet, awarded to content creators who operate on the network.
10% will be placed in the Founder Reward Wallet, awarded to the founders of Synereo, vested over a period of 30 months.
42.5% will be placed in the Future Funding Wallet. We aim to have two more funding rounds, spaced 1-1.5 years apart, each providing the necessary funds for the next leg of the project’s development.

Back to the communist name calling i see.

When the shoe fits.

None of this is true, infact bts 2.0 is about to be released and they are interested in reaching out to communities which may be interested in collaborating. It makes a ton of improvements and should really take off upon release. Do your homework but id send them a message and get your devs to see if its a good step synereo.

It's all true and who wouldn't want to be in company like THIS.

The only thing thats true in that link is this quote:

"If you put half this effort into creating something yourself you might actually get somewhere in life! Or you could just sit behind your pseudonym and be a keyboard warrior..."

and yes thats meant for YOU!

What does this have to do with AMPs?

Im trying to be helpful to the dev team by saying to look into bts as the backbone for the network, and this thing keeps interrupting with long quotes trying to fill up the thread with false nonsensical information and calling people communists, so I'm not sure ask the thing.

The Synereo dev team said they have no money. They are already going with Ethereum. @leithaus received a $10,000 EthDEV grant to develop for Ethereum. From what I can find out, Synereo will use the PoS code that Greg Meredith is developing for Ethereum. He is a smart guy who will make the code re-usable, allowing it to be a bridge.

I like the plan above better than BTS with how BTS works right now today. You should definitely read the BTS code and see how it works if you're planning on making something better. I would recommend @leithaus looks at that code. From what I know about BTS, it's centralized like FACTOMs mining. You need to be voted in to be a miner for BTS.

I thought the Synereo backend was fully developed and had been in enterprise use for years... I was excited to use Synereos code base but it sounds like we are years away from a real product.

This coin should go PoS as soon as possible. Whenever any PoS Ethereum test code is released SHIFT should go PoS. PoW is just crazy wasteful and expensive to maintain.

833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 28, 2015, 07:38:39 PM
Hello, Why hashimoto Ethereum's algo not added on NiceHash or on Miningrigrentals? ...I m asking... :-)

Because the Ethereum developers aren't experienced altcoin devs. This was their first altcoin. They have no connections in this industry. No one on the Ethereum team knew anything about how to launch a coin. They used a horrible difficulty adjustment algorithm. They had 0 pools at launch. They did PoW instead of PoS.

I have read the Ethereum code and it is quite basic. It's very similar to Bitcoin. I was really hoping for more from Ethereum but it looks like they just reinvented the wheel and added in a new feature. It's heavily over priced right now.

They ripped off people. I have no idea where that $18,000,000 went that they raised. This project could have been built for $2,000,000 and 8 programmers. They then premined a bunch of coins for the developers even though they got paid $18,000,000 already.

They should have gone PoW & PoS hybrid but they weren't smart enough to build such a thing. They now had to hire the guy who invented Synereo to help them make Ethereum better.

835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STV] SativaCoin TAKEOVER by Altcoin.Center - New official thread! on: September 28, 2015, 06:38:02 PM
Hey guys,

I have been pleading with bittrex to keep STV listed but to no avail. They do not give me any of your STV coin that is listed on the exchange once delisted.

I have been working on an alternative, however, called www.sativaexchange.com and hope that this can serve as a solution while we continue to rebuild STV. The exchange that I was hoping to complete is very close to becoming a reality, but I do need some help finishing. I have reached out to dopecoindude and hope that the STV and DOPE communities can come together on this one. Through this partnership we can both have our own exchange to be traded on.

Please pm me if you can help. Come join the Sativacoin slack too!

Pastafarian

That sounds really good. Maybe I can help. I bought the a now defunkt exchange from this guy who now works for BITTREX.

Synereo AMPs

bittrex? polo? cryptsy? c-cex? bluetrade? cryptopia? empoex? Where are you all? This is the most amazing new coin. You should be adding this coin to your exchange.

This looks way better than Ethereum.

837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] 1st ETH fork | UPDATE v0.4.0 | GUI WALLET on: September 28, 2015, 05:19:59 PM

At first ETH was at 220k before it rise to 800k, second look who is involved in ETH and EXP and third polo adds coin only if it's innovate (As you know Poloniex is the most reliable exchange).

But dude, you didn't understand my point. Bittrex is a p&d exchange for very scam coins. As someone mentioned previously, pseudo-investor buy shit coins to get easy money.

Come on, are you that blind?

ETH was a Pump and Dump. Look at Polo's top coins.. VNL was a pnd, just like RUBY is now, just like GMC was before that.

Polo is a reliable exchange, but the coins there get pumped and dumped just like everywhere else.

EXP never went up after it got added, only down. It has 2 BTC volume today. How would SHIFT benefit from being on Poloniex?

Please don't place VNL in single statement with RUBY or GMC.
VNL has only correction in uprtend. This dump on VNL is mostly affected by agressive FUD from Monero community, because VNL is a threat for them.

Next time read more about coins before you start to compare them.

Now that I'm in accumulate mode. Being on polo would be bad because it would bring up the price. I want to buy cheap coins for a a year then go PoS.

838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] 1st ETH fork | UPDATE v0.4.0 | GUI WALLET on: September 28, 2015, 06:20:18 AM
Lets what would be the outcome of this after we switch to Hybrid pos.

but when we'll switch it?

We must actually develop PoS or a hybrid. This tech does not yet exists.

Regards

ETH doesn't have it yet either. Ethereum is working with the Synereo creator to create PoS.

839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: September 28, 2015, 04:10:32 AM
You're going to be the NEM of the Synereo movement.  How'd that work out for those NEMwits?

Synereo is versatile. A clone could be used for so many different apps. Of couse I wouldn't just clone Synereo and release it.

840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: September 28, 2015, 04:09:06 AM
Regarding your other comment about building a better Synereo, i would love to see your better Synereo! i think many people on the planet would. Can you send a link to your repo for the code? What's the programming model for building distributed protocols? What's your tech stack based on? What's your transaction model? How do you handle content distribution versus currency? These are just a few of the many hard questions that have to be addressed and do get addressed in a due diligence interchange with serious investors. If you have good answers, we would love to hear them! This is a very big space, with room for everyone to engage and contribute. All ideas are welcome!

That's the part I'm going to let you take care of. I have no desire to get involved at such levels.

I have 3 mobile apps built that got too popular and had to be shut down because of server costs. I'm just waiting for Synereo to be released and working. Its such a versatile platform that people will be able clone it and use it for many different apps.
