indeed it seems they have, which is very sad really as ive used them before, they were legit, then they shut the site for a time as they said they got "overwhelmed" it seems they just thought why not re-open for the festive period to rake in some BTCs from those buying for xmas when they never intended to actually process the orders. it really is total scumbag behavior, sure i was buying gfx cards for mining but im sure some people ordered gifts for people and the like.

i also noticed that the google + page for all4btc has not been updated since 12th december yet their parent co bitcoinsberlin run by the same people posted on theirs as recently as this morning so they are active just totally ignoring contact on the all4btc side. ive emailed bitpay in the hope that they will suspend their account so no one else gets done over at least, although im not sure theyll do it on the strength of just me complaining

Ah, I guess this is one downfall or BTC with it being irreversible. Shame.

Bitcoin, but Litecoin will follow along I reckon. I have no idea which will be third best.

If you use a live CD remove the hard drive from the computer before you boot and don't connect any flash drive or anything that could store your keys until you have turned the PC off.

Jeeze, that's extreme. Can people actually still get at your keys that way?
Better safe than sorry.

That is very true. I'll use a live CD, but not sure I'd remove the drive, but you've made me paranoid now lol
824  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: from eWallet to paper on: January 04, 2014, 03:58:00 PM
Does this look correct? As long as i have fully secured the paper wallet (store in a safe or something), is each BTC 100% secure and 'Offine'?

As others say, you need to run bitadress.org page from Live CD and be offline when creating addresses

It's a sad state of affairs when coins such as this are released!

I agree. This will only be the first of many as well.
826  Other / Meta / Re: When will my forum activity go up? on: January 04, 2014, 03:36:45 PM
I read it was every two weeks?

It's going to be nice to be able to search more than once every 90 seconds OR post/PM more then every 360 seconds!

Those restructions will be removed once I get past activity level 14 right?

thanks

Actually not quite, the time goes down with more activity, but they're not removed.

Whilst I think it's a good feature, it' so annoying losing posts all the time.
827  Other / Meta / Re: Problems with tor and the forum on: January 04, 2014, 03:28:01 PM
I use TOR and was hardly able to post yesterday because after I'd logged in and waited the 6 minutes by the time I tried to post again it had changed over to a banned connection and I had to start the process over and this kept repeating. Saying that, it's only happened a few times today, but it was almost constant yesterday. Very frustrating when it happens.

What happens if people don't want all their betting details being public?

It's pretty easy to make throwaway betting accounts, users who like their privacy just use disposable accounts with random names. We won't require a password, email etc by default so we think it is a pretty private experience. When you cashout the coins you deposited are mixed to an address of your choice as well.

Ah ok, I suppose. I'm not a big gambler, but I do occasional use the PD faucet when I'm bored for a bit of fun, but I could imagine that not everybody will want their stats known to everybody.

All I keep hearing are horror stories regarding exchanges. Such a shame it's so difficult for people to get coins easy.

I think this is why people try buy them off ebay. It's quick and if they get scammed they'll get their money back.

A mod will probably move it. I think I saw these guys have scammed other people too.

There are some genuine escrow services, but it's hard to trust new ones that spring up.

What does Worldcoin offer? I've not heard of it.

Hi All. This is probably a super newb question, so i guess I'm in the right place.... Smiley

I have an eWallet. I would like to commit a few BTC to paper in 1 BTC increments. I think i know how to do this, but want to get some verification before i try.

1) Go to bitadress.org
2) Generate a single wallet
3) Print this out
4) Go to the eWallet provider
5) Sent 1 BTC to the 'Share' BTC address on the printed wallet
6) Repeat this process for each BTC i wish to send to a printed wallet

Does this look correct? As long as i have fully secured the paper wallet (store in a safe or something), is each BTC 100% secure and 'Offine'?

Finally, if i want to send these paper BTC back to my eWallet, is this an easy process?

Thanks in advance.

There's some really helpful videos on youtube about making Paper Wallets.

learn about cold storage wallets they are the best.

True, but might not be best to just straight into them for a beginner.

For most of the microcoins but lets start with Asiccoin and other currencies
Is there any website that list wallets with all currencies ?

Maby this is a stupid question!!! Smiley

Download wallets only from official or reputable pages.

What do you mean by Microcoins?

840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is exactly why I believe in bitcoins ! VISA & Banks are thiefs ! on: January 03, 2014, 04:46:00 PM
This is why I don't ever want a credit card. I have no need for one anyway.
