821  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 13, 2016, 12:59:25 AM
Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Really it comes down to us having advanced technology so anybody can do big damage. Do we limit that technology? I think it's dangerous to limit the types of technology people can have. And still, if somebody in the club would have had a gun I bet there would have been a lot less deaths. So I think we should all be allowed to have guns if no mental issues or violent crimes.
822  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: hacking???? on: June 13, 2016, 12:57:06 AM
Can someone explain this to me how guy received only 2 bitcoin and spent 23 with 97 confirmations?Huh
here is link :     https://blockchain.info/address/14f4WdcxkRhP2N5JbCWe3q7QcNtDiX82ba?filter=1
You had a filter on so you couldn't see all his transactions, if you turn it off you see he received more https://blockchain.info/address/14f4WdcxkRhP2N5JbCWe3q7QcNtDiX82ba
I clicked on all the filters and it still didn't pop up with more received Bitcoin...I have no idea what this is I've never seen it before. Literally hundreds of Bitcoins moving out of the address but it has only received 2.
823  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is my Computer is profitable in mini??ng on: June 13, 2016, 12:53:27 AM
Typical desktops or laptops will never be able to mine coins at a profit now. Even CPU based coins which are made for regular computer mining usually take more electricity to get them than they are worth. And your computer will also die faster so...
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be profitable in the long run! It is possible! on: June 13, 2016, 12:52:10 AM
It could obviously happen just as anything can happen over the long term. But seriously the chances are extremely slim that you'll be in the winners category in the long run. You're probably gunna lose instead.

There is a thing called house edge that prevents you from doing so.
Yep the house will get you. However in poker games like texas holdem there is no house edge. So if you educate yourself on the probability then you can get an edge over the other players and then make money long term. For example, if you have flopped a flush draw, there is a 33% chance you will get your flush by the end. 15% each card basically.
825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your favorite gambling games? on: June 13, 2016, 12:49:27 AM
I think i like playing dice because it's popular and easy to play, i think it will be a good suggestion for the newbies that want to have some fun and earn some money.
Dice games is the worst game ever that i play here it can drain your wallet fast unlike in poker its fun to play than dice game..
I can agree to that. Dice games are like speed betting quickly and poker is relax and enjoy. Dicing even has autobet that's hoe fast it is.

Dice games indeed go very fast and that is also the downside of it because you can lose a lot of money.
My favorite game is also poker because its just so fun and enjoying for a long time.
I played poker and always got beat when I was 90% to win or something. Handling multiples of those in one session just made me quit and never look back. I guess if you can get over stupid things like that poker will be your favorite.
826  Economy / Services / Re: Make 0.03 BTC everyday from www.freebitco.in on: June 13, 2016, 12:43:03 AM
It is definitely NOT a scam but the time it takes is quite long . In that specific time you can post on some threads and if you get some senior rank you can earn some handsome money weekly .
So you bought the strategy and you say it's basically not worth it? Well I guess that's all the proof we need ladies and gentlemen. Unless somebody more trusted gets a vouch I'm going to believe this full member with over 200 activity's review.
827  Economy / Digital goods / Re: (WTB) Bitcointalk accounts on: June 13, 2016, 12:30:31 AM
Bump, still interested in accounts  Smiley
Check out the auctions area. Most accounts will be "potential" meaning that you have to post a lot to get them to the level they're saying, but it's good deals and most of the people auctioning accounts have good Buy It Now prices and also have sold many to people and have not scammed. Good luck but you will likely be red tagged cus nobody likes account sales.
828  Economy / Speculation / Re: $652 - my laptop just exploded! on: June 13, 2016, 12:25:30 AM
Can't wait for all the mainstream media coverage that will start in the next hours...
And this time it's just not some artificial bubble. I do expect selling when halving occurs but this time Bitcoin is becoming A LOT harder to get because the supply is dwindling. Hopefully we stabilize at a huge price or if we do bounce down from halving sellers that we get to at least come back to around $700.
829  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you do with your new wealth? on: June 13, 2016, 12:23:18 AM
Are you already used to be wealthy or still confused what just happened?

I'm still a bit dazed regarding this huge pump right now. Never knew that the bitcoin price was going to go this high. I knew that it was going to go up generally, but never expected this high.

I'd just hold my BTC for now, because halving is still some days away.
Right. Take good profit now while you can or wait a couple more weeks and then really there may be a huge bubble. I'm expecting massive sells at around the time of the halving but I guess we'll wait and see. I still think we're safe for at least another 2 weeks of hodling.
830  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is starting to resemble late 2013 on: June 13, 2016, 12:19:18 AM
The climb to halving will be great. And then next thing you know after the halving there will be a massive sell off and then probably a bounce back up and stabilize. So get it will the getting is good.
831  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: bitcoin goes high, halving gets near what's the 'near future' of mining? on: June 13, 2016, 12:16:43 AM
In the near future I see a lot of miners being turned off after the big dump of the halving. We'll climb price based on speculation and then when the magical moment hits we'll see huge sell off.
832  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will difficulty jump over 200 billion at block halving? on: June 13, 2016, 12:14:31 AM
And 2012 we were a mostly gpu network coins were around 8 to 12 usd.

So a small drop 10 to 15 % in 2012 is not surprising.

This 1/2 ing I see 18 to 30 percent drop.

But it will recover in August and September .

it is probably price-dependent.
at btc $450 you are probably right (18-30%)
at btc 677 maybe 10-15%
at btc 800 5% or less.

incidentally, in 2012 difficulty dropped not AT block size change, but 4 weeks later.
If the network drops 30% I'm basically all in at that point. It will usually take some time for people to know and accept that mining won't be profitable at their electricity rate and hardware anymore. So until then I only see it going up with the price.
833  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your True Fear? on: June 13, 2016, 12:12:27 AM
Being a loser my whole life and disappointing the ones I love because I can't seem to find anything that works. Or it works really good for a short time then all crashes.
Damn that's hella personal LOL. I actually felt your sadness while reading it. My worst fear is heights. My legs get all wobbly when I'm high up and that makes it even worse because then it could actually really cause me to fall Sad
834  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: June 13, 2016, 12:11:20 AM
I put $80 into GawMiners before it went full stupid with the Paycoin thing. I sold my miners and got $40 back. Thanks Mr Garza for taking my $80 and magically halving it.
835  Other / Off-topic / Re: What OS do you prefer? on: June 13, 2016, 12:08:10 AM
Windows is the top OS for a reason. It's easy to just pick up and use. Linux is hard as crap if you're used to windows. Android is nice too and I like it.
836  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is BITMAIN a trusted source for purchasing mining equipment? on: June 12, 2016, 04:39:00 AM
I'm new to mining and am wondering whether BITMAIN is trustworthy or not.

Any recommendations will be appreciated.
Oh for sure. They're by far the best company out there for hardware right now with their new s9. Definitely trustworthy. I recommend waiting about a month because some very crazy things are going to be happening and it's best not to expose yourself to that much risk.
837  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Help me build the perfect mining setup... on: June 12, 2016, 04:37:34 AM
Wait for halving. It won't be long now and then you can see the difficulty and redo the math in a Bitcoin Mining Calculator. With free electricity I bet you can snatch up a lot of s7's for cheap but they usually don't come with PSU's. You should have fast ROI Smiley
838  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-6-11]NFL Player Falls Victim To Bitcoin Scam on: June 12, 2016, 04:35:35 AM
I can't believe the press is pitching this as a Bitcoin scam and not some sketchy account manager trying to embezzle funds. I mean guaranteed profits is the biggest red flag for anybody with an investment account. And what's with his name? Michael Vick? LOL So funny reading that even though it's not the dog fighter.
839  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing BIT-CHIKUN.COM, worlds first bitcoin game which is also an ecosystem on: June 12, 2016, 04:26:08 AM

A word on security:
All of our sites traffic is processed using HTTPS 128-bit encryption for maximum privacy and security.

Also this shows that we have registered with a trustworthy certificate authority and can be identified/held accountable for any fraudulent activity were it to occur on our site.

Huh? First of all, there's no way your key is 128 bits, no browser is going to accept a key that weak. Secondly your server is vulnerable to the recent padding oracle attack ( https://www.openssl.org/news/secadv/20160503.txt ) which almost invalidates the point of using https

And lastly, "and can be identified/held accountable" is blatant misinformation. Your certificate (DV SSL) shows one thing, and one thing only: that it was issued to someone who controls the domain. I'm going to guess you already know this based on the fact you never had to prove who you were.

And " for any fraudulent activity" is a empty claim, as you because as you know any cheating is 100% undetectable, as your game make no effort to be provably fair, and players have to 100% trust you that they lost =)
Yeah... I don't like that it's just a "Oh that guy deposited more than you, you lost" because that means its not provable then is it. Just trust the website that it is true. So they can snipe any deposit... and also the game just feels weird that you have to trust the website with more Bitcoin to produce wins. It feels like a sketchy game.
840  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: June 12, 2016, 01:41:06 AM
Are we able to buy the amount of S9 hashes that's equivalent to the machine and trade for the actual machine? I hope Hashnest could introduce the voucher code system where users could trade their hashes for vouchers codes for resale, similar to CEX.io
You can do this but it's only an option when the miner becomes obsolete basically. And even then you only have like 7 days to do it so it's really strict. Won't happen to the s7 for a long time I assume but who knows how big the difficulty will get.
