I have noticed that I don't see the splash screen either but my client boots up so fast I don't think I get a chance too.

You need to give it some time. At least five to ten minutes for the new client to get connections. Then it will be fine.

I would think right now that all these new users and miners do not have a clue what to mine right now with a new coin every week.

Would now not be the time for a cool off period or is spreading the mining rashrate around random coins every weeks what people want?

I am all for innovation but not of saturation.

P2Pool does work, you just need to give it time and relax.

On Bter.com I am impressed that BBQcoin can go so low but them come back from it.

It shows there is a impressive support base.

Still getting payments on the P2Pool. Everything is fine.

At the moment I just love the name of the coin.

They did say that there was an early miner reward, so the early miner will have a lot of coins.
