821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much loss is tolerable in coin trading? on: May 25, 2017, 06:13:03 PM
Only risk what you afford to loose.
ATM crypto trading is insane as insider trading and market manipulation are allowed as there is no rules. So i dont tollerate ANY loss, i choose to hold whatever bag i have. I can tell you in the last year i think im bag holding less the 1% worth of all my BTC.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 24, 2017, 11:07:44 PM
The f#$%&# just shorted is monero:) i think it is in a lot of money on this joke. Glade i didnt buy any above 16. when it gets back, ill stash some more:)

Cryptocurrency is a circus, lets just try to make some cash of the party.
823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You only lose if... on: May 23, 2017, 08:40:39 PM
1- if you sell the bag at a loss.
2- if you buy high and sell low
3- if you keep buying bullish markets and selling in bearish markets
4- if you donate all you r BTC to me . this wouldn´t be a loss, but a win for the soul:)
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 21, 2017, 08:21:40 PM
Bytecoin +100% today again.
My opiniion: The Bitcoin whales that don't know the end of their money manipulated like piece of cake the market of yet another shitcoin.

Sometimes you see a wall of 2 or 3 BTC and someone is trolling in the chats of the exchanges "Huge wall" . then u see a green or a red accordingly to trolls word. So if someone think two or 3 BTC is a wall... Even a baby BTC whale is capable of manipulation:)
825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges that offer loan options on: May 21, 2017, 08:17:51 PM
So anyone knows the real danger of this going wrong, and me ending up losing my coins?
The dangers are just that the exchanges that offer these services are extremely poorly regulated, and that's a much higher risk than you might think at first.

A lot of people have already been complaining about slow withdrawals and extremely suspicious "DDoS attacks" with Poloniex.  Meanwhile Bitfinex doesn't process USD withdrawals or deposits, and even Liqui.io could become questionable at any point.

Margin lending is okay but you should be extremely careful about when you take your Bitcoin on and off different exchanges.  No one should treat exchanges as a wallet, so no one should hold all their funds in exchanges for any other reasons at all.

The danger is the exchange itself go down, close, runway suffer a real or fake hack.
I´ve read somewhere that in a serious and fast dump of a high volume of coins the lost for the lender could be to high and to fast so that the loan could be in default. I´m not sure if i read it right, because they say you have to have the ammount has collateral.
So i think the real danger as stated before is the exchange itself. as there is no kind of regulation, there can be a day when the guys decide to retire to an island with the users money. But that is true to money in lending as to the money in exchange or margin.
826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges that offer loan options on: May 21, 2017, 02:50:08 PM
Bitfinex offers loans as well. Liqui.io as a lending service that is a little bit diferent.
They have 300 BTC and 10000 ETH available for lending for a fixed 24% yearly, i think its 0,066 a day. It comes from the fees they charge from trading and you have to wait for a part of those 300 or 10000 to be available.

Liqui exchange is a massive joke. They promise people 24% APR, but if you look at how they will generate this interest, then it obviously will give them a hard time with their insignificant trading volumes. And then we still have the main question open -- how much of their already insignificant volume is legit? It could very well be that they artificially wants you to believe that this exchange is active, while in reality, that's not the case.
With any new business you will always have the legitimacy problem on the table. As for how they will generate the profit for me its simple math. they limit the loan volume to 300 BTC overall. Its not 300 BTC per person. They only accept 300 BTC. from that they give 24 anually, 0.066% a day from the fees they collect. the fees are 0,35 (0,25+0,1). So they are offering 0,066 out of 0,35, not on all volume but on 300BTC. Its a way to do some marketing and publicity, maybe cheaper than some signature campaigns.
As for legitimacy, i wont talk about it because no one really nows if they close the site 5 minutes after i post this.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [RaiBlocks] RaiBlocks trading thread on: May 20, 2017, 02:00:30 PM
XRB has been listed to the two exchanges. Is there any need for the thread to exist?
Is there a need for a whole subsection in marketplace to deal BTC if its listed in ALL crypto exchanges? There you are.
828  Local / Portugal / Re: Ola... any crypto-aware accountants who can assist? on: May 19, 2017, 10:07:52 PM
In my interpretation of the law, as crypto is not officially considered money what will be taxed is the surplus you have in Fiat. As Riclas said what would be taxed is the diference between the fiat you used to aquire the crypto and the fiat you got from selling considering it was a profit.
the crypto-crypto trades wont be considered IMO and interpretation of the law.
829  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: tell me some strategy about trading?? on: May 19, 2017, 09:41:35 PM
1- HIgh volume, well established coins.
2- Study two or three technical indicators to help. moving averages, bolinger bands, fibonaci lines or whichever suits you best.
3- if You happen to be caught on the top of the hill just remember the crypto market is expanding and there is a very high probability that any of the established coins will go up sometime in the future. Relax don´t panic sell.
4- Buy low, sell high. Best strategy.
830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Place Orders Before Time on: May 19, 2017, 09:37:51 PM
I use that strategy mostly when i believe i wont be online to keep an eye on the charts. if i see a coin beggining to go down and its time to go to sleep i sometimes leave orders. both for buying but mostly to sell. I usually do my short term trades with a fixed profit on my mind. like 2 %. so i buy, and i place the sell order and sometimes just go and watch a movie, sleep or whatever.
831  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What u think will happen if Amazon would accept BTC? on: May 19, 2017, 09:29:33 PM
The only coin ATM to become global as it would in Amazon is BTC. however there are several issues with BC blockchain that have to be solved before this happens or the problems that will emerge will give crypto a very bad name.

WTS(OTC): 57,000 XMR for EUR/E1/USD/BTC/whatever.

I am about to pay some debts(, und keine Intention die Preise in dem Prozess zu zerstören..).

I read PM daily, usually about 6-9 pm UTC+2.

Are you using escrow?

I suggest anyone dealing with risto to use a reputable escrow and have him pay for the escrow fees if any.
with the legendary status and the trust issues i´ll be looking at this one with interest.

837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: selling edgeless at better than ICO bonus price on: May 16, 2017, 05:08:15 PM
why do you not  trade on exchange?

Do you ask this question to every single transation that is made with bitcoin in currency exchange section? If you do ok, if you dont i dont get what is the problem of someone trading whatever he or she wants outside the exchange. Just be aware of the risks, use an escrow and trade as you will.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which coin is best for tradding??? on: May 16, 2017, 05:00:14 PM
Theoretically the best coin to trade is high volume, high number of trades and high volatility. IMO i look at these factors but i also choose a coin that i like/believe in. As i am not a great trader sometimes i end up with a so called bag of coins. If it is a coin i believe i just relaxe and wait for the price to come back instead of panic selling it.

Which coins do you believe in?

BTC, Monero, ETH, STR. For smaller coins Tokencard, TAAS. I have pivx because i believe they had some improvements over Dash, but it is really low and i dont really know if it will come back.
839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is trading *not* gambling? on: May 15, 2017, 08:31:28 PM
It ceases to be gambling when you try to move the odds a bit in your favor by studying the coins/stocks/assests you are trading as well as the tecnhical indicators. you move the odds in your favor is better than gambling, if you do not succeed and keep moving the ods against you it is worst than gambling.
