821  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: October 06, 2023, 12:15:13 PM
The main concern is that technology is advancing at a very rapid pace, going to college and getting a degree won't cut it anymore. You need to constantly be advancing your skills and keep on acquiring new knowledge. With that being said, it's quite stressful to think that we're easily replaceable. I studied economics and IT isn't exactly my field. Statistics is my strong point so I'm considering to be invested into data analysis, an advancing sector which is also usually offered remotely.
Qualities only to get a degree is not enough because if someone does not have skills will make it difficult for them to survive. Any work sector requires skills to make us calculated and technology that has been developed many things that can be utilized to make money, depending on the skills we have as supporters. Whatever fields are controlled can make money, but we must dare to take the risk of implementing it.

I prefer the economic field as a runway to make money and there are many small businesses that I have built even though many have failed. What makes me like the economic field because we can become the owner of my own business even though the scope of the business that we build is still relatively small and I am typical of people who do not like dictated so that working in its own way is much more comfortable.
822  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: October 05, 2023, 04:28:05 PM
On this board I often see a lot of discussions related to investment and finance which tend to be large scale. However, to start investing we need capital. How do you find capital for investment?
If it were me, then the steps taken would be to invest small amounts of money on a regular and consistent scale. Difficult economic conditions create obstacles for those of us who do not have the capital to invest large amounts, so the DCA strategy is still a good mainstay for us to consider.

Let's talk about small scale businesses that have low risks and promising profits so that we can have capital to invest and become passive income in the future.
I want to know what kind small scale businesses you mean so there will be a discussion that we can discuss together. Building about small scale businesses also requires precision because if it is not precise, the business will not develop and ultimately we will not get stable passive income. I own a clothing shop at the moment and the difficult economic conditions in society have meant that sales in the last few months have been very reduced and I have even tried to use online media as a place to sell the clothes I have.

The current economic condition of society is quite problematic and in my opinion, if you want to build a small scale business, perhaps the sector for meeting daily needs (basic food items) is a good choice because even though people don't have money, these needs must still be met. So a small scale business like this is still considered quite feasible to run in conditions like now.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 05, 2023, 03:02:10 PM
I think we can all agree that Ten Hag is ruining United for 2 years already , right ? This guy simply won't give up on his believes of how to play offensive football and it's clearly that with United his strategy won't work no matter how hard he tries so I hope he will be out until winter break.

Also , how the hell did Arsenal lose ? I've made a post regarding Arsenal and how bad they are playing when they face "weaker" teams in UCL and I was correct ...they played awful and deserved to lost.
Facing Galatasaray at home and losing is not a good condition for Erik Ten Hak because he will be under a lot of pressure going forward. I think he trusts players too much who always make repeated mistakes, even though there are other players he can use during the match. For example, Andre Onana made several mistakes in the opening match in the Champions League against Bayern Munich, but the coach still trusted him enough and in the Premier League Andre Onana also did not perform well.

These two English representatives did not have any impact in the Champions League, Man United did not appear promising and I think it was very difficult for them to face this competition, but strangely Arsenal, who was so impressive in the League, had to lose to a club that was weaker than them. Experience and mentality are perhaps two things that the representatives of the two English clubs do not have even though Man United has had a good history in the Champions League in the past.
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 05, 2023, 02:05:29 PM
For many teams, losing a striker like Kane would cause great morale. I'm sure there were similar problems within Tottenham, but Coach managed this process very well. Tottenham made up for this deficiency with the extra performance of different players. Currently, the lack of Harry Kane is minimized and I think they will win the match against Luton. A good start to the season from Tottenham.
The coach takes a very good approach to the players, quite different from what previous coaches did and the players are very motivated to get good results in every match. Even though they lost their mainstay striker, it did not affect their consistency when playing so they are one of the unbeaten teams so far in the Premier League. I also saw Romero and Porro perform very well in several matches that have taken place and these two players have been the difference for Tottenham.

When facing Liverpool, Tottenham did not play optimally even though Liverpool had lost two players due to red cards, but they still had difficulty scoring goals because Liverpool played much better than Tottenham. Next week they will face Luton and statistically this is an easy match for Tottenham to secure full points at visit the headquarters to Luton.
825  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: October 05, 2023, 01:25:13 PM
It definitely isn't the best time to be alive. I'm not sure if times were ever ideal, but I believe that in the past it was easier to afford a more comfortable lifestyle, especially for families. Nowadays, when two people are barely saving any money aside, it's practically impossible to stand on their feet and have children that you can provide for.

I don't believe that there's any sector except IT and technology that are in a better position right now, but both of the two aren't feasible for the average worker. The service section will always need working hands, but it's common to face poor salaries and unpleasant working conditions.
The problem is that the life we live now is increasingly worsening economic conditions and it is quite difficult for us to get a decent job if we don't have the skills. An ideal life that can fulfill daily needs is sufficient for some people because not everyone can achieve a luxurious lifestyle. Without work we cannot provide for our families and this is caused by the economic chaos we are facing and the unemployment rate is also increasing every day. Crime also increases when people cannot earn money for their needs because people can no longer think clearly when their lives become increasingly chaotic.

Even if they are not better than the IT and technology sectors, at least they can make money even if the income is small. For me it is better to earn a small amount of money in a stable manner than not earning anything and in my area this kind of work is still a part of being able to meet the needs of people who have not so big responsibilities.
826  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: October 05, 2023, 12:54:14 PM
Education doesn't guarantee job especially when you live in a country with less job. One shouldn't go to school to only acquire certificates but learn various things in school which can be useful in the future. This is why entrepreneur in now being introduced in school especially in country with less job so that people can easily use the knowledge to creat their own business in cases where they can't get employment.
In several countries a diploma is only a sign of identification that someone has taken a formal educational path and there is no guarantee that someone who has a high education can get a decent job. When you choose a final diploma, working like someone with a lower diploma will actually make you small in their eyes because people with higher education should be able to produce work for other people. But if the question whether education is enough to earn an income, the answer may not be the same from one person to another.

Education is only a foundation for someone to know a life of character and education is only a place to seek knowledge. When we have knowledge, it will be easy for someone to find a job, but sometimes people are reluctant to do certain jobs because they have high education. In developed and developing countries, the concept of education may be interpreted differently even though its essence same as a field for seeking knowledge.
827  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: October 01, 2023, 01:27:59 PM
I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same, but this uncertainty with the increasing living costs and the ongoing rat race is causing me excessive stress. On top of that, moving out of the country doesn't seem ideal either, because most European cities are also suffering similar conditions, along with an extensive immigrant crisis (see France, Italy, Germany, and the UK). I'd be interested in remote working, but the economics field I've studied at university isn't in high demand for remote working, which often recruits IT workers and generally fields that require hands-on experience. As soon as I'm settled down, I'm considering taking up a data analysis course and finishing my master's degree in order to look for more opportunities abroad.
The life that humans live today is very difficult and there are many people who are unable to make ends meet amidst increasingly worsening financial pressures. The steps I take in conditions like this are trying to live as frugally as possible and when it comes to basic needs I prefer to buy raw materials to cook at home and also limit outside activities that can cost money beyond my ability to earn. Not only in Europe, even Asia is also experiencing this impact, the economy is really getting more difficult at the moment and there are many people who have to stop pursuing education because they cannot afford the fees.

The service sector has a much greater survival rate compared to other sectors which have almost the same impact on buyer uncertainty. A prolonged crisis can destroy the economy of countries/individuals and we are really feeling this difficulty now. If next year this condition does not change, I am sure there will be a recession that will be much more severe than now and we hope that this can end this year so as not to make people more difficult.

Maybe I'm stressing out too much because I'm yet to find proper housing to establish myself again after being away for over a year in the military. I'm generally an anxious person myself, but does anyone else feel the same, and how do you deal with it? How do you stay optimistic?
Everyone will definitely feel the same way as you feel, especially those who have big responsibilities towards their family. The method may be as I said above, that we must try to live simply and not spend too much money on things that are not too important and try to be more frugal in meeting life's needs for now as much as possible.
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and gambling which one has done you more harm on: October 01, 2023, 12:40:10 PM
But for me I think gambling is the one that done people more harm than bitcoins investment, because almost every day people gamble with different platforms but its few of people that invest in a day or weekly, I will like us to discuss these.
I also experienced a small loss when investing in bitcoin at the beginning and that was an important lesson for me, that when we want to invest the first step we need to do is understand the investment we are making. After that, I never experienced any losses when investing in bitcoin because I prefer to hold the long-term investment that I am currently investing in. Bitcoin will not cause losses to anyone if invested correctly and knowledge is one way that can combat these losses.

Everyone knows that gambling has a much greater risk of losing money compared to investing in bitcoin, but everyone can definitely handle any losses caused by awareness in living it. If we are not prepared to lose money due to losses when gambling then it is best not to continue because the only thing that can limit this is ourselves not other people.
829  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: September 30, 2023, 04:17:15 PM
I'm a pleb like most of you, and I too have, many times, become pesimistic about the economy in general and in what's about to come. But has anyone ever considered that
Everyone will definitely be pessimistic when sources of work are not available because without work people will lose the opportunity to improve their source of income and ultimately they will be trapped in an economy that becomes worse.

- The economy is not going to crash into a recession
- That there will be an actual soft landing
- That the Russia - Ukraine war will not escalate into a European war
- That Gensler CAN'T truly ban crypto
- Institutional investors will come back and take Bitcoin to six digits
Unfortunately there are not many sources that are included in the post, so it is quite limited in what we want to talk about and the points don't seem to relate to each other. Basically, a bad economy can cause more complicated problems, so that the impact on society will be much greater. The concept of resilience should be a reference for how a bad economy can be reduced to a smaller level.
830  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 30, 2023, 03:09:36 PM
I agree with you that if we have the capital or facilities to continue our education to a higher level then entering and continuing our education is also a pretty good thing. As long as we have enough finances to support the costs of academic education. As you said, sometimes we can build connections with many great people on campus. Like Mark Zuckerberg, who actually has acquaintances or friends he knew from where he studied who supported him in funding the development of Facebook (Sorry if I'm wrong but I think I've read his story about that). That is the importance of relationships or connections in building a business. And it can be built while we study at university.
Some people consider education to be one of the foundations of their life and they will pursue as high an education as possible even though there are limited costs for continuing it. Education can shape people's character for the better and can also lead someone to the opposite. Education can provide higher knowledge to anyone and they can also expand their connections and can make them achieve a level of success with extensive relationships.

Like the example you gave to Mark Zuckerberg, even though his success was not academic, it was because of his education that he got to know his colleagues and build Facebook bigger together with his friends. Education can lead a person to achieve success and although the path to success can vary.
831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies identify with your local board on: September 30, 2023, 02:42:34 PM
Newbies, you are all welcome to this forum as you are in the right place to learn all angles of bitcoin and many more. It is easy to grow here, if you are ready to learn.  There is board here that is called local board in the forum.
Language may be one of the obstacles for someone to develop and in fact the local council will be the most rational place for beginners to learn the ins and outs of bitcoin. There it is easier for us to communicate with users who have the same language because not everyone is able to speak fluent English.

Local board is a board that was given by Theymos, to people from your country for easy discussion, so that you can learn and contribute in your native language for proper understanding and also to assist one  another
I see so many people benefiting from local boards, both their knowledge of bitcoin and their way up the ranks and that's where it's easier to discuss things. If we can speak English there are many good posts globally and there are many people there who might be able to provide education regarding bitcoin, information about wallets and forum developments regarding improvements made by Theymos. I also have to agree as you said that local boards are one medium that can help beginners to develop in the forum.
832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin and forget the investment on: September 30, 2023, 01:58:28 PM
The way I'm looking at next bullrun am thinking that the bullrun will be something that will push bitcoin price  to approach hundreds thousands [100] for the price, but people will not invest now. I split my funds currently to different of coins expecting that if I don't make profit in any of the coins when bullrun comes I will surely make profit in bitcoin because bitcoin price now is no longer going downward or going upwards, but any move the price will make to go up the price will increase, I'm expecting the price of bitcoin to rise in 2025 and 2026 so any investment in bitcoin  should be expected till next two years or three years time.
It's good if you have a strategy for investing and most people may have difficulty providing capital when they want to buy, even though Bitcoin investment can be done in any amount. If you intend to collect bitcoins regularly then DCA can be applied as a strategy. I am a bit confused to understand what you mean by splitting multiple coins and if you think Bitcoin is one of the best investments, why would you prefer multiple coins to invest simultaneously. Other coins may not be able to show strength in sustaining themselves in the market and many risks may take you to the stage of loss as many coins suddenly die in the market.

Summary, invest in bitcoin and forget about the investment and hope that you will make profit after some years coming.
That's the advantage when people invest in bitcoin and don't need to think about any conditions because bitcoin can provide a price spike when the four-year cycle arrives. If today you invest some money in bitcoin, in the next few years you will make a profit once bitcoin finds its next ATH.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 29, 2023, 06:41:51 PM
Everything that Pep Guardiola has done in the few seasons to shape Manchester City into what it is today, it is not without reason that Pep Guardiola has succeeded in building self-confidence and implementing a new era to dominate Europe, that is what Manchester City players have, so it is not surprising that he Every match Manchester City provides a convincing game for them to achieve victory.
It took several seasons for Pep Guardiola to bring Man City to win the Champions League and he learned well from the defeat in the previous season, until at the right time he succeeded in presenting three titles at once for Man City. This achievement was not easy and he also had to provide the management with several required players to buy. Currently, if you look at the quality of players that Man City has, it seems difficult to beat them, but Newcastle United has proven that they can still be beaten.

So Pep Guardiola has to be careful during matches in the Champions League because small mistakes can cause them to fail to advance to the next round. Although if you look at several clubs in the group, statistically Man City's chances are much greater as one of the ones who qualify for the next round or become group winners.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 29, 2023, 05:40:35 PM
Victory over Brighton should be a good start for Chelsea's revival. Even though it was only in an EFL match, it really helped raise the team's morale to look forward to the next match. Chelsea really has to take advantage of other competitions besides the Premier League, because logically it might be very difficult for the Blues to compete again at the top of the standings. Therefore, Pochettino must be wise in seeing the opportunities that exist and he is required to be able to bring Chelsea to achieve success again.
If Chelsea wants to qualify for the Champions League next season Pochettino's focus should be much greater on the Premier League because this route is one way for them to play in the Champions League. Of course, it is not an easy matter to finish in the top four of the standings because there are many other clubs that appear much more consistent than Chelsea at the moment. This victory was the start of a comeback for Chelsea and if Pochettino can make better use of this, it can certainly bring them back to getting positive results in every match.

So let's see how Chelsea can produce good results when playing in the next match. Chelsea will face some big games in the premier league and Pochettino will be faced with a much bigger focus on getting Chelsea back to winning ways. Even though it is difficult he must remain focused on give good results because management will definitely demand more satisfying results.

836  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: September 29, 2023, 05:13:10 PM
I want to start a discussion highlighting some points I read online regarding women as compared to men in entrepreneurship and the chance of success.
I think we are only talking about comparisons which do not necessarily mean that the results of the survey will have a level of data accuracy. What I mean by this is the tendency for men and women to have different levels of work because it is common for women to prefer jobs in different sectors to men. Women prefer real work that does not involve big risks, while men may prefer challenges even though the work can be said to be difficult to do.

As a result of the difficult economic times, do you consider that there will be more women entrepreneurs competing with men in this field which it so looks like they currently dominate?
Restrictions on women in pursuing a career are now no longer a problem and there are many women today who even prefer their careers to work rather than taking care of children at home. The availability of employment for women actually encourages them to compete with men in work and it is no different that there are many women who earn large incomes compared to men today. So in some cases women no longer respect their husbands due to their much larger incomes and perhaps in some countries they are faced with this problem now.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 29, 2023, 04:33:03 PM
No, they don't. Every casino work in the same way, they might have higher or lower house edges and difference in RTP for each game, but the system they work on is basically the same where the results of a game are decided using a random number generator and there is basically nothing like a different winning rate on different casinos because that totally depends on one's luck and not the casino they are gambling in.
Regarding the house edge and RTP, I know they are different for certain Casinos, but regarding system issues I don't know much because I am not an active gambler in casinos. If so, then the winning process in any casino game remains the same because it has the same working system, so the luck process is of course much bigger than anything else.

What we often hear is the truth. Games that we play on a gambling platform like Dice, Crash, Keno, or all the slots by different game providers, all provide results based on your luck because the results are generated randomly. On the other hand, in sports betting, luck may play its role, but the main thing is your ability to make the perfect predictions regarding the matches or sports events that you are knowledgeable and experienced about.
I only know a few slot games and I haven't played many of them and from the experience I have gained, winning is completely determined by luck. That's why I prefer to place bets on football, apart from having a hobby of watching football and it is also more rational to place bets there because even though there is luck we also rely on predictions before the match has started.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 28, 2023, 07:09:29 PM
The recovery news about Vinicius Junior wasn't fake and we saw him being subbed in against Las Palmas in the second half also. He played more than 30 minutes as far as I can remember. This is a very good signal for Real Madrid. Because I expect him to get ready for the starting eleven until the Napoli game.
That's true and I watched the match between Real Madrid vs. Las Palmas who was blessed with Real Madrid 2-0 victory. Vinicius entered the second half replacing Joselu and I saw Real Madrid's attacks actually increasing. The presence of Vinicius can increase the attack power of Real Madrid is increasingly dangerous and I think Napoli must be really aware of this and if he enters as a starting eleven it will be far more troublesome for the defense of Napoli.

That game is very crucial for both sides. Both teams didn't win easily in their first games. Because I guess you have also noticed that they both had some difficulties despite the big quality difference.
Real Madrid are seeded because they have a much better mentality than Napoli, but even so Napoli also benefited because the match will take place at home. Both of them gathered three points and who could win this match had a great chance of going out as a group champion.
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 28, 2023, 06:01:11 PM
Chelsea had a great win against Brighton in today's EFL Cup match. This match in the EFL Cup was a great one for Chelsea. Chelsea have only won by one goal against Brighton.
In the first half it was not clear which side could win but after 50 minutes in the second half Chelsea were much ahead of Brighton and that one goal in 50 minutes sealed the win for the team.

It has to be a great match for Chelsea in the EFL Cup where Chelsea have regularly been the worst in the English Premier League.
Chelsea's next opponent in the EFL Cup is Blackburn, where Chelsea have won against Brighton so it is expected that Chelsea will definitely be ahead in this match.
The beginning of a good step for Pochettino because it was previously difficult to win Chelsea to win and even though they faced a team that was far below their quality. EFL is not much more important than the Premier League and the focus of Pochettino should be large in the main diliga because they need points to boost their positions in the standings. But if seen the match takes place more dominated by Brighton and they can hold the ball above 61%. Luckily Jackson got the moment to break into Brighton's goal so that Chelsea could come out as the winner in the match.

The problem is how when they play in the Premier League because the opponents they face in the future are Fulham. The schedule of matches in the Premier League is far more important now because they have been far behind in the standings and if Pochettino again accepts defeat or draws it will be difficult for Chelsea to pursue the top five positions.
840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 28, 2023, 05:31:24 PM
The importance of being open to each other and communicating well with your partner will help gambling become better, although maybe not many women like men who gamble, but believe me, if we are honest with our partner, he will definitely understand, just give him the trust to manage the gambling budget so that we not going too far because we need someone to remind us not to play too far.
There are many couples who might never allow their husbands/wives to be involved in gambling, because they know the impact of gambling can bring problems in their lives, especially if the couple only relies on mediocre salaries for gambling. To meet daily needs is so difficult and involved in gambling will only make new problems for their lives. Unlike the case when the large income they get from routine jobs and does not affect the course of their daily lives and maybe cases like this can be accepted by our partners.

I applied this to my wife where I asked her to manage all my gambling budget, after all there is no need to be in debt to anyone, it is better to gamble with money that we are ready to lose to have fun, after all my gambling habit is usually to fill my holiday time, not to make money, I always think of winning at gambling as a bonus. If I lose, just think of me paying for something that is fun for me. The point is to be open with our partner and honest so that it doesn't get messy, let alone make the relationship fall apart.
You are one of the lucky men if the wife allows you to gamble because in the area where I live there is very rare for a wife who allowed her husband to gamble. Regulating the gambling budget is very important, so as not to cause problems in the household and usually gamblers will be very difficult to regulate the gambling budget, because of the great desire to get a victory in every gambling they play. Except gambling as you do because it has a certain time and not too addicted.
