~ The key is even if you are chasing your losses, you shouldn't risk more than you can afford to lose. Yes, it might be a painful loss, but not a catastrophic one still. We, gamblers, all have those unfortunate moments, but it's not like we are losing everything and borrow money to gamble more, like irresponsible gamblers do.
Yeah, when we're on that momentum of chasing our losses. It's like that we're accepting any additional amount of losses and that's becoming more painful if we are unaware of it. As long as we get to have the essence of chasing and it's not unlimited and when you think that you have got enough, it's best to stop and don't add more with losses from your pocket. ~

It's true, but it's so hard stop, innit? We always think "Just couple of more bets and I'll hit it and all my losses will be recovered." I say, ok, couple of more bets and that's it. It's very important to have the strength to really stop after less than 10 bets more.

The key is even if you are chasing your losses, you shouldn't risk more than you can afford to lose. Yes, it might be a painful loss, but not a catastrophic one still. We, gamblers, all have those unfortunate moments, but it's not like we are losing everything and borrow money to gamble more, like irresponsible gamblers do.

It's not that easy to stop because there are times when you have the means to play again and you just can't stop yourself from doing it again and again until your body gives up. ~

Or your balance, right? You lose all your balance, you quit, right? At least this way you won't lose much more. You should never borrow money to gamble with it, and you should never even think of borrowing money to top up your gambling balance.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 18, 2023, 06:44:13 AM
If you walk into a casino with $200 and you start playing with that $200 and you win $200, get the hell out, you simply just doubled your money, take your goddamn leave, what do you think you wanna do? Win a million dollars? You will go home empty handed.

The next thing that rings in your ear is you can still win another or more, that's the devil whipsering, the art of gambling is knowing when to stop.

The only game where you have some power is in Poker, not the online one, this is the best game in casinos, as making profits off of bad players is possible.

Why do you say that? It has been proved many times that if someone can play good poker in land-based casinos, he/she is good in online games too. I think it's because this body language stuff is bs. What matters is the size of your bet, the time you spend before betting, and your previous actions in this regard. Whether you are playing online or in a real casino with others at the table, doesn't affect your performance in the long run.

~ a wise man once said, "if you want to make money with gambling, own a casino".

If you ask me, the man who said it wasn't that wise. Owning a casino isn't enough to make money. It's a complicated business and you should know how to run it.
843  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: November 18, 2023, 06:23:51 AM
~ This is perfect for people who want to wager and increase their wagering in order to get the side benefits it gives, more reward points, more weekly lottery tickets and of course if you play long enough more Golden Tickets.I didn't know that in here you can change the odd to 1.01 as in different casinos that offer to increase levels of premium tiers or VIP levels, most people use this dice strategy to increase their wagered amount no matter how small their bankroll may be.

Of course in the long term you will lose but with these type of odds and win chance with 1 Satoshi bet you can play a huge amount of time.

That is true, but how much will you wager with just 1 Satoshi bet? I think for this purpose(wagering) 1k sats as a base bet would be better. And another thing I've noticed is that if you are aiming at big amount of bets and you bankroll is big enough like more 100k sats, then you can be betting 1k sats at once with 50% win chance and in the you'll get the same result. And theoretically it should be like that actually, right?

Got my freebets for posting on Sportsbet's  1000th thread! Thank you, Steve!

Also I want to share that I won my freebet from another Sportsbet.io competition:

And I still have 3 of them free bets to use:

Thank you for making our days brighter, Steve and the whole Sportsbet.io team! Smiley
845  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: November 15, 2023, 05:48:58 AM
And, of course, I played my all-time favourite Bitcasino Billion and it didn't dissappointed me this time too:

54x of my bet. What more can you wish for? Smiley
Bitcasino Billion slot is indeed a lot of your favorite to win a sizable bet.
But this time I myself only 16x bet, unfortunately did not get free spins. Grin

Edit:: back to the Bitcasino Billion game now getting free spins.

At least it's not disappointing. Cheesy

Tried the Pinata Smash slot and won quite well Cheesy

Great win! (both of them) Congrats!

I'd got one of them nice ones too when played Bitcasino Billion yesterday:

Then I decided to play Razor Returns by Push Gaming because of the live RTP

I was curious whether this slot was delivering so much at that moment, and it appeared it was:

Small but consistent winnings for about 20 minutes(above is only a part of them). I thought the machine was broken Smiley

Of course it couldn't have lasted forever. I had to do some other things and decided to come back tomorrow. And when I was back the next day(today), the slot wasn't listed among The Highest RTP Games. I'd tried it for a bit and it wasn't delivering so much. But I had my fun. Smiley

I can say it again, LIVE RTP is something, guys.
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: November 15, 2023, 04:35:30 AM
To be honest, I'm generating the price of bitcoin or any kind of random number using the OpenAi chatGPT right now. Gamble cant be predicted especially with random numbers or bitcoin price I mean precisely. Si Usually I just talk to chat gpt and tell them to generate number in range between xx to xx. Till this date I never won but it is fun to chat with an AI hahahha

understanding that creation of phrases and numbers using an statistical model for the best possible response is different than predicting the future is a must

this article on how LLMs work is quite good to grasp the basics
What Is ChatGPT Doing … and Why Does It Work?

still a funny game, as you mentioned, but probably won't be so accurate, if it gets it right it'll be more due to luck than due to skill, kind like an oracle, maybe

Thank you for the link! Hope such a long article will help us understand how this machine works. There are 53 comments after the article and I think it's important to read them too to understand it even better. I think I'll do that.

still a funny game, as you mentioned, but probably won't be so accurate, if it gets it right it'll be more due to luck than due to skill, kind like an oracle, maybe

It gets right many things, but the outcomes of the sport events isn't one of them. Maybe the article will help me understand the theory behind it, but in practice I tried many times and AI was right only once in a dozen tries, so, as you said, due to luck, I guess.

~ After all, this is the gambling world right, I tried the gates of Olympus with fake money from the Stake i made 3000 euro from 10000 euro but after win Im ended at 9000 euro hehehe

But that doesn't prove anything. You could end up with zero on your balance, and you could win ten times more than you were given, right? At least you are not saying that betting with fake money and real money is not the same. I gotta hand it to you.

Overall, I want to say that on the slots from a honest provider you are not guaranteed neither win nor lose.
850  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 14, 2023, 07:57:58 AM
Obviously, such as everybody that plays casino games, you are a losing player, otherwise you would not complain about the house edge .

I am fine with the advertised 0,5% house edge minus rewards.

I complain about this

They say in the trust summary about you that you are ignorant on basic math, and I think it's true. That is your problem. You claim "I lost 4,6% of the bets while the house edge is 0,5%", and you think the site is cheating, while no one told you you should lose 0,5% with your 180k bets. I mean, you could lose much more than 4,6% and you could win 100% or more if you were lucky. 180k bets is too small an amount to come to any conclusions.

Stake is a regulated site, and the advertised house edge is checked on a regular basis. And it's done through the simulation of tens of millions bets. No one needs your "statistics" based on 180k bets.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: November 14, 2023, 07:16:21 AM
~
It's good that you are honestly sharing about your losses. Those who want to gamble should expect possible losses too. That's why it's very risky to take Gambling as a major income, unlike with any regular job, you can lose while "working". But I like your position on this issue: although earning from gambling yourself you are not encouraging anyone to follow you. What works for you, might not work for another gambler, and you take this into account.
There are no two same people in the worlds. No one can make the same thing. And i often make bets during the match, so i can`t fast predict the result and odds.
As for me - trading looks the same with the sport betting - we try to predict the result, using some skills. But the gambling is just for fun and trading is a job. It is strange enough.

Trading is very similar to gambling, I agree with you on that. Especially if we compare trading with sports betting. That's why trading too shouldn't be a major income for some people. I personally know a guy whose "job" is to trade crypto currencies. Luckily for him his wife is very wealthy, and it's nothing for then that he loses several thousand USD each year with his "job". If you ask me, this guy would better be trading for fun. Smiley
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: November 14, 2023, 06:42:06 AM
I would say if you have 600k, not telling anyone about it would be a smart choice to be fair. If you put all of that into bitcoin, and just slowly spend it, I can say that in my nation that is good amount of money to live forever and not end. You could get some interest on it, and bitcoin could go up, so if you spend something like 2k per month which is a lot in my nation, that is 300 months, by logic 10 years is 120 months, so it's 240 months for 20 years, and 300 is 25 years.

That means you get 25 years worth of money already, maybe not enough for your entire life if you are young, but bitcoin will go up so you are going to get a lot more and that means it should be enough for your retire life. You will not have to work a single more day in your life if you could just ignore all the need to tell others and just stop yourself and keep it a secret. Just make them think that you have an online business that makes 2k a month and that's it, forever.

I don't know if it's possible for anyone to win that bid and don't tell anyone. I think it's a big part of your winning: telling others about it. We are social creatures, we can't keep it to ourselves, be it a big win or a big loss. Just think carefully of to whom you tell it, but it's impossible to not tell anyone.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: November 14, 2023, 05:43:53 AM

This is why it is very important for us to learn to manage our finances, know when to stop betting and know how to spend money from gambling more wisely.

If someone won millions from the lottery, say, 5 million, and spent 4.5 million "just to have fun", as you said, I personally don't see anything wrong with that. Imagine it was a rule: only if you won big money, you can spend it on yourself, or, on anything you want. Only in that case, the case of winning a huge amount. Otherwise you should just work and spend money on your family. We would have millions of happy families, wouldn't we? Unfortunately, people don't have any money and they borrow it and spend "just to have fun". And that's a problem.
854  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: November 13, 2023, 05:02:16 PM
One of my best memories was winning and receiving pretty fast those jerseys and scarves from Sportsbet.io

It happened in a relatively short period of time and that's why it was doubly pleasant. I gave one jersey to my friend, and it's "My best t-shirt ever!" as he says.

And I'm wearing my best t-shirts and scarves from Sportsbet.io till this day, although it was two years ago when I won them, ’cause I use them only on special occasions. Smiley

Thank you and Congrats, Sportsbet.io!

Wow , did not have this in Mind you have given me a best act towards participants in which I mostly love the outcome but yes let us be the judge if not partaking , like you I have limited time now because of personal things (having my Son have married so yes  busy father here) will keep an Eye in all roobet contest and will award those artworks that will satisfy my taste specially in Hand drawn category that i truly love.thanks for sharing thought mate will do the same as yours.

You are welcome, mate.Yes, if we have no time/skill to participate ourselves, let's be the judges then. Smiley After all, merit is a valuable prize too. I had never made it to the prizes in Roobet art contests, but I did earn some merits from my participation and it' definitely better than nothing.

~ Launching a token is not difficult, it's easy and scammers do it with thousands of scam tokens without any value for community. Roobet team only have to think very carefully about tokenomics for their token. It's headache. I hope to get an answer from Roobet's representative in Bitcointalk about this idea.

I think running a casino and making your own token are two different things. Roobet is very successful in casino business, so,  why should they be bothered with tokenomics? What are the possible benefits of that in your opinion?
856  Economy / Gambling / Re: Evolution — report for Q3 (HOW THEY EARN THAT MUCH?) on: November 13, 2023, 10:48:20 AM
~ But some casinos do sometimes take it too far and lower your odds of winning even more without giving you notice, but this will usually only happen to unregulated casinos which have their headquarters in some corrupt third world country. Luckily, with some DYOR, that can be easily avoided.

It's forbidden by regulators to do it. A company of the level of Evolution will certainly not lower your odds without a notice. There so many regulated casinos that I don't know why some people are still playing on unregulated ones. Is it the "profitable games" they are attracted to? Unbelievable bonuses? It's their own fault they are scammed then.
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: November 13, 2023, 10:11:22 AM
~

Trump is not likely to be the president while being in prison, actually, he is running for his second term because he knows that being the president of the United States will likely save him from having to step into a federal prison in the short and midterm.
Also, it is very likely prosecutors won't have much of a case to keep the president in a cell.
Even if procesutor lawyers tried to wait for Trump to end his second term before enforcing the sentencing, I bet Trump will try to build a strong case during those 4 years in power, in order to never pay for the alleged crimes he committed.

Trump is no doubt a leading candidate now(among gamblers)

and I'm not going to argue whit that. It's a fact. How long will it last? We'll see. I personally don't think Trump can win, but from now on I stop saying "Don't bet on Trump", I think it's ridiculous in the current situation.

The USA would only ashame itself if they allowed someone to run the presidency from a cell during 4 years, how would be Trump even able to meet with other leaders in that position, as a inmate?

That's why I asked is it even possible for a President to run from jail. It's something I can't imagine.
858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: November 13, 2023, 09:33:31 AM
~
Yes it's a very good suggestion but I would not fully say that it will work because of course there are still some of us who are quite difficult in managing finances in life or even in gambling, but yes honestly I agree with your suggestion, management will always be the best and main thing in any case it is especially money management, because of course if we do not have it then we will not be able to balance between expenses and income. So if you really feel that this gambling activity only causes a lot of financial problems in your life then in my opinion there is no longer the best way to stop and avoid it, yes I understand it is difficult but that does not mean it is impossible friends, you can do it slowly by trying to reduce the budget at each of your next gambling sessions, after all this is also nothing more than a profit - profit activity, meaning that if you are for then you will win, so therefore it does not matter and it is better for us to put just enough money.

Reducing the budget of your gambling sessions is a good start. Some people can't do that because they are  addicted already, but if you feel you have the strength to do it without external interventions, you should try to do it.

Do not be willing to borrow money just to gamble, it is not recommended, and also I think there are many examples that can be used as examples that those who borrow money end up in debt and experience many problems. That's right, the fact is that there is absolutely no way to get a win, so it's better to prevent it from now on, that's all.

I would argue with that statement. Anyone can win, and win big, but the thing is that it's just a bit less likely than to lose, so, it's stupid to count on win. No one can forbid us to be stupid sometimes if we like, but that's only for entertainment purposes. Do not gamble because you don't have sufficient money.
859  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: November 13, 2023, 08:55:14 AM
~
Investing in real estate and business must have a high threshold of funds to start developing real estate or business, but cryptocurrency investment is a different thing that cannot be compared with any business because everyone can start investing with unlimited capital according to the funds allocated for investment crypto portfolio.

Dominant crypto investments tend to be preferred higher than real estate and business investments, they have generated huge profits from the impact of the current market bulls and other profits will come in the next bullish period, high profits cannot be achieved in a short time when compared between real estate and business and even investing in gold, but crypto investment is high risk if you don't have the knowledge to manage crypto investments, and we have the knowledge and experience to survive in crypto investments until now.

I agree, investing in crypto currency it's incomparable to investing in real estate or business. You can invest $100 in crypto and get good returns one day, but hardly that's possible with real estate or business. Maybe if you have a lot of spare money, like tens of thousands USD, you should consider all three options. But if it's just hundreds, you have just one option then, and it's crypto.
860  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: November 12, 2023, 10:44:40 AM
I saw this tip on how to save money on social media. It says that if you receive your salary before anything else or before distributing your expenses and such, the first thing you will do is allocate an amount to your savings, and after that, you can distribute it to other things, such as bills or other things you will spend.
What about those who don't earn a lot? Someone with a limited salary cannot separate a specific percentage from it for savings and then spend the rest on other things because the rest might not be enough. If you earn $1,000 a month and have expenses that covers almost the whole amount or even higher sometimes, you can't have much savings or any savings in that case.

Some people earn even less than that, and it's extremely hard for them to save something. You know what, I was one of those people during some period of time, for years actually. And I can tell this much: if you earn so little,  you never give saving a thought even. You just live. You are happy you can buy a loaf of bread, and if you can "save" to buy a bus ticket to not be walking for two hours to your home, you are super happy.
