Wall meets wrecking ball.

Just sold 0.00656btc to my brother's FOMOing friend at $61.5k to buy new tires for my ATV. Is rubber a good commodity to invest some of my profits in?

Good morning Bitcoinland. The battle for $60k rages on... currently $60046USD/$74282CAD (Bitcoinaverage). As a Wall Observer, observing that wall at $61.5k on Stamp makes me think we might be going sidewayish for a little while. Hopefully I'm wrong and we'll blow right past it. Go Bitcoin go. This time wanna take profits.
I'll take my profits in Bitcoin thank you.

By tomorrow we should be back in the original range of the thread title...Top 20 days for Bitcoin.
Go Bitcoin go.

Taking back the rainbow for stoners Nobody owns rainbows, they're a natural phenomenon. I do have a particular issue with the way the alphabet people are using it because they originally were using it to promote tolerance but now it's all about exclusion and all sorts of nonsense. Good morning Bitcoinland. Up over $57k... currently $57257USD/$71388CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Go October go.

Good morning Bitcoinland. I see we're back up over $55k... currently $55070USD/$68678CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Still digesting the last big leg up. Q4 rally should resume soon. Go Bitcoin go. People have long since forgotten that Vitalik actually said in the beginning [and I'm paraphrasing] that "Ethereum is NOT a competitor to Bitcoin. I didn't build it for that, and it's not suited for that. In fact, Ethereum should not be used as a form of money or currency like Bitcoin. Use Bitcoin instead."
I'm sure if what he said was written or captured somewhere on the internet, it has long since been buried or retconned. He would not want his beloved cult followers to know that he said or thought that.
Vitalik reminds me of Roger. Both were early Bitcoin evangelists. Ver was "Bitcoin Jesus" and Buterin gave us Bitcoin Magazine. Somewhere along the way both turned. Ver with his forkcoin trash and Buterin with his centralized, pre-mined, unlimited-supply scamcoin. Now they're Bitcoin haters. I guess that shines a new light on their original intentions.

More humor: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/vitalik-buterin-calls-mandatory-bitcoin-184654330.html...tactic of pushing BTC to millions of people in El Salvador at the same time with almost no attempt at prior education is reckless, and risks a large number of innocent people getting hacked or scammed. Shame on everyone (ok, fine, I’ll call out the main people responsible: shame on Bitcoin maximalists) who are uncritically praising him... LOL OMG its those "Bitcoin maximalists" recklessly exposing innocent people to being hacked and scammed. Good thing they didn't make your little scamcoin official too, eh Vitalik? Sour grapes?

Anyway, had a great week with Rick - First great week we've had together since recovering from COVID19, and him retiring. Getting used to this whole retirement thing together is very nice. Weekends have effectively ceased to have any day-to-day meaning to us now, as we're starting to go out and do things every day now, so... Life is good kinda deal.
Prepping to have friends over for a party tomorrow afternoon, to celebrate Rick's retirement.
Life is good.
Have a great one, friends.
Congrats. Life is indeed good. Enjoy your double emancipation. Weekends? The big thing about weekends is that more of your friends are available. I also means fewer places are open. After a while you start hating Fridays and loving Mondays.

A little humor: https://futurism.com/creator-dogecoin-cryptocurrencies-horribleI don't know if this has already been posted here but it caught my eye and made me laugh. ...I believe that cryptocurrency is an inherently right-wing, hyper-capitalistic technology built primarily to amplify the wealth of its proponents through a combination of tax avoidance, diminished regulatory oversight and artificially enforced scarcity...
...The cryptocurrency industry leverages a network of shady business connections, bought influencers and pay-for-play media outlets to perpetuate a cult-like ‘get rich quick’ funnel designed to extract new money from the financially desperate and naive...
...Cryptocurrency is like taking the worst parts of today’s capitalist system (eg. corruption, fraud, inequality) and using software to technically limit the use of interventions (eg. audits, regulation, taxation) which serve as protections or safety nets for the average person...
...This is the type of dangerous ‘free for all’ capitalism cryptocurrency was unfortunately architected to facilitate since its inception... Gotta love that "dangerous free-for-all capitalism".

New poll incoming. Old poll results: How much of your stash would you sell if Satoshi's coins moved to an exchange? That's a pretty far-fetched premise. Does anybody really think Satoshi or anyone with access to those coins would actually move them to "an exchange"? I guess the real purpose of the poll is to gauge the number of panic sellers versus hodlers.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Briefly touched $56k before returning to the $54xxx range... currently $54668USD/$68340CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Catching our breath before continuing on upward. Go Bitcoin go. Pfft left and right nowadays are just two sides of the same coin. They both want to limit individual freedom, one wants big government the other big corporations to govern us. Bingo.

I an absolute retard and use a locked-down/encrypted Mac Mini for my hardware wallet, running Bitcoin Core.
That's right.
I'm clearly banana bread in the head.
Yeehaw!

Hardware wallet? I prefer separate offline addresses. The only thing I use a wallet for is for sweeping addresses and immediately transferring the coins to new addresses.

The Coinfloor feed isn't updating now. They appear to be migrating to CoinCorner, so this is probably terminal and another source will need to be found.
Too bad. We're still a few weeks away from ATH jackpots but listing only 3 fiat currencies isn't nearly as sexy.

Not actually the first post. The "Explanation" link was added after everyone got fed up with people asking what it was all about. (Actually, may have been when people got concerned about ip harvesting from the external link I had before). This is actually the first available. Slightly higher price but we were in that awful bear market. There were earlier ones but they have expired from the server they were on. I've got a collection of old CBs somewhere in my old HDDs. Here are a couple I put on Imgur... the reaction to the Silk Road bust. From over $130 down to under $110 and right back up in less than 2 hours... a good lesson on hodling several months before Gamehuobi coined the word "hodl". _____ I kinda like the fact that there were no numbers at the top. They can distract people into thinking they have some kind of importance.
