1681  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do when Bitcoin reach$20k? on: August 05, 2020, 06:04:52 PM
I have no intention to sell according to price.

I plan to keep buying when I can and sell as little as possible when I must. The current price has nothing to do with it. In the long run, the price will keep rising despite short-term ups and downs.

Selling a significant amount at $20k would be as foolish as selling for $33 in 2013 or $1.2k in 2017.
1682  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 04, 2020, 08:08:02 PM
Be neither conspiracy theorist nor conspiracy denier... i.e. use your brain.

"Not all conspiracy theories are true, but that doesn't mean none of them are."
i.e. use your brain.

I see we're saying exactly the same thing.

Some conspiracy theories are bullshit, but that doesn't mean they all are.

i.e. Use your brain.
1683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 03, 2020, 09:35:08 PM
It's surprising how many peeps whom I have considered to be quite intelligent (not only on this forum but also IRL) have fallen for conspiracy theories (COVID-19, 5G, Bill Gates mind control chips etc)  Grin

With all the conspiracy theorist propaganda out there, it's easy for the weak-minded to be brainwashed.

That said, don't be a conspiracy denier either. Of course the examples you listed are laughable but that doesn't mean that what Edward Snowden pointed out is also bullshit.

Plandemic and chemtrail mind control may be imaginary but covid and PRISM are very real.

Be neither conspiracy theorist nor conspiracy denier... i.e. use your brain.
1684  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 03, 2020, 05:04:59 PM
Then why sell half your coins? If you don't trust fiat, stocks, gold or real estate, why not keep your profits in Bitcoin?

I don't know why traveling is impossible for you but if that's what you want to do most, that's what you should be doing.

I hope you don't feel tied down by some silly little career/job.

Thanks, thankfully I am free and can work from everywhere in the world. What I meant was they fucked up the world with this covid scam and it looks like they will play this game another year or two for whatever reasons. And that makes traveling impossible. Am a big Thailand/Asia fan but looks like they wont accept tourists for a longer time.

Why cash out? I hold since 2014 and want to get out of this 100% investment I did. I mean I am only invested in btc and who knows what happens after the next ATH. So would be cool to have some cash on the side if btc dies or whatever. People seriously believe these Rothschilds and Rockefellers would accept a crypto currency as an alternative to their fiat money? If it gets too powerful they will destroy it. I mean they own 99% of the worlds governments and media. Would be easy for them to somehow ban it and make a bad media campaign.

Doh. Of course covid has crippled international travel. What was I thinking?

Then again, by the time this bull run peaks (near the end of 2021?), hopefully we'll have covid under control. There are tourism-dependent countries all around the world anxiously waiting for a chance to open up again.

As for the Rothschilds and Rockefellers destroying Bitcoin, let them try. They're already trying.

Make a bad media campaign?  Already happening. Ban Bitcoin? Tried that too. It doesn't work.

I'm also almost all in Bitcoin and I'm not worried. I buy and sell my coins face-to-face with real people, no companies, no machines.

The only way they can shut it down is by shutting down the internet and they depend on it too much themselves.

Don't worry.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Starting to creep back up after the big correction... currently $11430USD/$15345CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Onward and upward, but not too fast.

Go Bitcoin go.

Voted for cash out 51-60% but dont know what to do with that money. I dont want to hold fiat. And investing in anything else at the moment seems pretty high risk eg stocks, gold or real estate. Also I dont need or want to buy anything. I dont give a shit about Lambos or luxury. I left the capitalism crap years ago. Material things just give short term joy. Only thing that brings joy to my life is traveling. And that's impossible and will be for a long time I guess lol. Think I am depressed. Thanks deep state NWO assholes...

Then why sell half your coins? If you don't trust fiat, stocks, gold or real estate, why not keep your profits in Bitcoin?

I don't know why traveling is impossible for you but if that's what you want to do most, that's what you should be doing.

As to the POLL on WO above...I don't plan on selling ANY BTC...

Didn't we have basically the same poll not long ago?

I voted the same as last time... 1-10%, only because I know I'll have to sell some just to pay the bills.

Otherwise, it's zero of course.
___

Edit:

I just realized that it would actually be <1% but there was no option for that.
1687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 02, 2020, 01:46:14 PM
Good morn Bitcoinland.
One one one one eight dollars
(Bitcoinaverage).

I see we're right back
Where we were two days ago...
Healthy correction.

All things considered,
It was a very good week.
Go go Bitcoin go.

We already have laws to address such situations but my country is abolitionist so the death-penalty is a non-starter.  In saying that, we might have been the first country to execute a person for failing to wear a mask.
https://nationalpost.com/news/senior-haliburton-resident-who-refused-to-wear-mask-at-store-was-shot-dead-in-altercation-with-ontario-police

Actually, he was shot for being a violent criminal. What I found amusing was the spin put on it by some in the comments section:

Quote
This man, who survived for 73 years, avoiding many of the mortal dangers and pitfalls that lay around every corner through life, believing that taking a risk was his decision to make, is taken down by the nanny state because he refused to accept they had arbitrarily assumed responsibility for his personal safety.

Apparently when the cops rolled up to his home, this long living former law abiding citizen pulled a gun on them, setting in motion a "death by cop" scenario, because that was the hill he decided to die on, fighting for his right to decide.

What I see is the store owner protecting herself, her employees, and her customers by deciding to keep her private property safe from people refusing to wear masks. It has nothing to do with "the nanny state" and everything to do with private property rights.

When someone trespasses and resorts to violence, it becomes a police matter.  That's the only state intervention... law enforcement.

Perhaps the commenter is a communist who thinks her store is public property and she has no right to decide what to do with it.
1691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 01, 2020, 01:23:25 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Another wee leg up I see... currently $11610USD/$15570CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Gotta love the slow steady steps up with little consolidations in between.

Go Bitcoin go.

It's also too bad that hundreds of thousands of George Floyd protesters around the globe spent about 1-1/2 to 2 months running around literally in each others faces *without* masks on, potentially (likely) infecting the rest of the population... and hardly anyone in the media said shit about it. The media down-played it and made excuses for it.

Because, ya'know, political agendas and all.  Roll Eyes

Shall we go ahead with incarcerating the hundreds of thousands protesters worldwide, or do they all get a pass?

Why bring anti-brutality protesters into a discussion about masks?

From what I saw, the percentage of protesters wearing masks was no lower than that of the general population.

Politics has nothing to do with it, or at least it shouldn't. Mask wearing is a medical issue, not a political one. Why do some people try to turn everything into some right-wing versus left-wing partisan political debate?
1692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 31, 2020, 06:29:02 PM
How about the death sentence if there is sufficient proof that your failure and refusal to wear a mask had caused the death of someone else?  Sound good?

A little extreme, perhaps.

This isn't cold-blooded premeditated murder in the first degree. It's more a case of manslaughter or even as low as criminal negligence causing death.

It is the result of stupidity, not malice.

Ten or twenty years should suffice.
1693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 31, 2020, 05:45:05 PM
I cannot care less about what his opinion is on masks insofar as it's effect on whether or not I wear one.  That is my choice and I own the consequences.  On the other hand there is some theories solid proof that masks protect other more than the wearer.  In this regard I believe locally based laws and regs are appropriate.  And if you are breaking the law by not wearing one I think that too should be something one is ready to face the consequences of.

Masks are mostly about stopping the spread, not about protecting the wearer.

It's too bad "laws and regs" are required to prevent reckless endangerment of others.

Asymptomatic carriers who've been brainwashed by covid-denial/anti-mask propaganda don't suffer any consequences for the harm they're doing.
1694  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 31, 2020, 05:06:28 PM
The reality is that many people successful or not don't like being told what to do regardless of the consequence.  I don't think there is any new Kool-Aid involved wrt the mask.  Sure, the science is out; the science is out on many things which we also ignore on a daily basis without any consideration.  Speeding, smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs, unprotected sex, going to the Moon/Mars and not wearing your seat belt...  Some people are more inclined to take risks than others.

I'm not going to condemn the man based on that one thing - it was his choice.  Maybe his death will serve as the motivation for others who are on the fence about wearing a mask to put one on; especially those who are in the "more susceptible" categories.

It's not simply a matter of taking a risk. It's about endangering others.

How pleasant.
1696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 31, 2020, 03:11:18 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still consolidating sideways... currently $11258USD/$15105CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Time to go up. Go Bitcoin go.
_____

Just noticed this:

https://bitcoindominance.com/

Has this been mentioned here? Have I just not noticed it?

Makes a lot of sense... omits all the bullshit pre-mined shitcoins, ICOs, etc. Barely includes Vitalikcoin, with an option to exclude it.
1697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 30, 2020, 05:20:43 PM
Best strategy: Don't sell unless absolutely necessary.

Buy whenever possible and hold.

Resist the temptation to waste your bitcoins by buying fiat currencies just because the price went up. Be strong.

Do not deviate.
More like: Don't sell. Period.

Whats that? Your brother needs an operation? Not as much as I need 100k per Bitcoin. GTFO of my Lambo dreams.

What I meant was: don't sell unnecessarily for mere fiat "money".

Buying medical services or retirement homes (or fine foods or beverages... maybe even hookers, Lambos, and blow, depending on your tastes) is Bitcoin well spent, as is discharging all debt.

Selling bitcoins to bank dollars (or euros or pesos, etc.) is just plain stupid, although many people do it.

Keep your profits in Bitcoin.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still consolidating around $11k after this week's jump up to 5 digits... currently $10986USD/$14747CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Almost time to start moving up again.

Go Bitcoin go.

*Develop a strategy now and do not deviate*
