that would be funny if one day time travel became so popular they had time machine rental services like what they do with cars

The world would crash

someone would go back in time and stop that from happening because everyone would go back in time making everything that can happen that it will happen so if some day someone makes a time machine he could stop me from writing this  and in the same time making me write this  Huh

Haha, the old time machine paradox!
862  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose(country)? on: January 22, 2014, 09:56:21 AM
Japan for sure.. Smiley) I love my native country but still My heart is in japan

I'd love to visit Japan! I'm a bit of a technology geek so I think I'd just walk around in awe!

Outside of Akihabara, Japan is mostly old-fashioned.

Good to know, cheers  Smiley

Why are people still actually trying to have a conversation with this guy? I put him on my ignore list almost a year ago now.

Good idea, doing the same now. I thought this would be an intellectual conversation about religion, how wrong I was... Huh

865  Other / Off-topic / Re: Favourite movies at Netflix. on: January 22, 2014, 09:14:16 AM
I dont really watch Netflix, cuz I download movies free online Grin

Yeah I got Raspberry Pi hooked up running XBMC and IceFilms, but I know that The Prestige is on Netflix (last time I looked), and that's an amazing film! Definitely recommend it!

How much IceFilms cost?

Nuffink  Grin

I still must put my credit card there?

IceFilms is just an app, no credit card or anything. I never said it was completely legal, but it's free movie streaming, often in HD if you use IceFilms.

Remember, with IceFilms, you are not sharing or distributing illegally downloaded content. IceFilms doesn't even distribute content, they host sources that you stream directly, through the app.

It is asking account verifaction via credit card.

What is? Screenshot? Sounds like you may be in the wrong place. Icefilms.info is the online site, but if you download XBMC (you can install on a PC) and install the app using the link, you just find a film you wanna watch. No credit card details whatsoever. You don't even sign up with any details.

Okay, I didn't download anything yet.

But if I press "play" it ask credit card.

I honestly can't help with this as it doesn't do this for me. I can watch online or on my TV without signing up for anything. When you go to icefilms.info and select a movie, you then select your source (Billion Uploads, for example) and it will start streaming. If you don't have a streaming script already, it will prompt you to download one.

People don't just use Raspberry Pi to get XBMC on their TV. Some people get their Apple TV jailbroken and install it that way.

Raspberry Pi has a HDMI port which means the movies are great quality.
Why dont you guys just use torrent. It a great way to get movies

What's the point? I used to use torrents to download files, but why bother when you have a littl set top box that pretty much does it all for you, and without having to wait for the download.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned on a TV show on: January 22, 2014, 09:12:52 AM
its also the main currency in Almost human
Through the whole series ? This is huge then  Shocked

Yeah I've never seen this either, do they use it for everything? Do they have the whole infrastructure set up? Or do we not get to see that stuff?

I guess we will soon see if this is real or not, but this article from Patrick Byrne, the CEO of Overstock.com is interesting.

868  Other / Off-topic / Re: Shows about Micro Chip implantation... on: January 21, 2014, 10:54:18 PM
I think the creation of these shows might have to do with the increasing hype around wearable computers like Samsung's watch and Google Glass. The concept of taking a normal person and endowing them with technology which gives them super powers has a lot of mass appeal because obviously none of us were born Superman/Superwoman but would like to have been. Also if you look at shows like the 6 Million Dollar Man it's clear this concept isn't new but this microchip idea seems more plausible in our modern world so it's gotten popular again.[/b]

That being said, it will be a cold day in hell before I stick a fucking RFID in my arm. I might buy a smart watch but I hate the idea of having a piece of technology on me that I can't take off.

Couldn't have put it better myself. It's a modern version of an ongoing yearn/fascination. 'What would you do if you could be invisible for a day...'
869  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Atheism does not exist on: January 21, 2014, 10:48:40 PM
The idea behind atheism is the non existence of god.  This logic is inherently flawed as itself is a negative.  Non existence does not exist.  To say non existence exists is a fallacy.  It is like a riddle.

This is what makes you a mental person. Of course someone can believe that something doesn't exist, I believe, but can never prove, that Santa Clause doesn't exist as a man who flies in a sleigh at Christmas and comes down my chimney (I have no chimney, that's a riddle!)

The burden of proof does not lie with atheists, simply because you cannot prove the non-existence of something. It's like me asking you to prove that there are no unicorns on earth. Until you have checked ALL of earth, you cannot tell me that there aren't. So the burden of proof would be on me to find one to prove that it exists.

I do, though, think that zealous atheism is a product of religion. People who preach athiesm renew some of the worst features of Christianity and Islam, as they see it as a project of universal conversion.

It's not about accepting one person's view, but allowing people to make a free choice. That said, free will itself as an idea is also 'bible-borne'.

I think the title 'Atheism does not exist' is  a stupid one, and probably not what you meant. I say atheism does exist,  the burden of proof being on me here, because I can bring people to you who have atheist beliefs, whatever you categorise those beliefs as.
870  Other / Off-topic / Re: Okay, which one of you bitcoiners is fuckin' with NASA? on: January 21, 2014, 10:36:15 PM
Haha, I love how the Daily Mail sensationalise. The reality is that NASA said they spotted the rock but it probably fell from the wheel of the rover. To the Daily Mail, this means that the rock just appeared from thin air and that it's baffling all the top scientists. Hilarious.

Lol, the Super Bowl is on the 2nd February.

Next stop...The Apprentice!

A task on which team can make the most bitcoin by posting their referral links all over the forums.

Haha, that'd actually be a good task. I love The Apprentice and the twats on there. I wonder when the next series is?

Yeah it's always good viewing. Not sure when the next one is. I always love the introductions they give themselves right before making themselves look like idiots. 'I'm the alpha and the omega, I'm a lion and the next Apprentice'. Yeah...but do you own Bitcoin?  Tongue

Why aim for the sky when there's footprints on the moon? Why aim for the moon when there's a rover on Mars? Yeah, they're classic arrogant megalomaniacs, but you've got to be a twat/'character' to even get on there.

Series 10 has been pushed back till autumn because of the World Cup apparently. http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/apprentice-next-series-pushed-back-2652853

Haha, very true. Ah I see, I think the 'Kids Apprentice' or whatever it's called got cancelled too. Sugar was tweeting his annoyance about it.

Miniature tyrants in the making. Those little gobshites are even worse because they're just as arrogant as the pricks who are ten years older than them on the adult apprentice. Imagine what levels of douchebaggery they're going to be at in the future.

Yeah exactly! I honestly don't know how some people can be that full of themselves!

Satoshi is an imaginary figure of higher power and at the same time he is all of us. Everyone has a bit of Satoshi in them.

Andreas is his messenger

I'm not sure if pingit uses smartphones or regular phones also.  Mpesa works using USSD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unstructured_Supplementary_Service_Data) and SMS.  AFAIK USSD basically works on any GSM phone.

Ah, think you might need a smartphone for PingIt, so that's one draw-back.

878  Other / Off-topic / Re: For Free: My nice idea for Coin !!! on: January 21, 2014, 02:17:48 PM
Some coins already have a voting system.
Memorycoin has this system integrated in its wallet.
The weight of the vote depends on amount of the coins you have in the wallet.
Quite close to the idea you are proposing here.

Well I know about it, but, why would be a health-based voting system would be world-changing?

That is what the world has right now about economy and politics, the richest lobbies take all decissions, because they have the "power"
In my system, the richest and the poorest holder of the coin would have the same strength in the decission.

I don't know any political system that has this feature, because until this moment on the history, there was no physical way to control it. Now with cryptocurrencies it can be real.

I like this bit  Smiley

How do you make this work thou??

What would stop someone making 1000 wallets with a few coins in so they can make more votes.

The ideas are good, but getting it to work will be tough.

Yeah, the guy above you said exactly the same. It's a good point. Cryptos as they are now wouldn't allow for it, or not easily. Interesting thought though...
