861  Other / Meta / Re: was gambling board restricted from merits? on: January 13, 2024, 09:49:59 PM
Not only gambling board but also trading discussion. Most merits source do not like boards that deals with some risks. That was what I thought about it in the past. Because gambling and trading are both risky. Even for the ones that are merit sources, probably they might think why giving merit to some posts that deals with something risky. I just do not know why gambling and trading discussion boards are like that.

Although if you take a look at some posts that are of higher qualities on both boards, they are merited. But such posts of high quality and such quality posts are not just many on gambling board.

But as for me, I do not care. I post more on these boards but I am still able to get some merits, but mostly not from the gambling board. If you think you want to help, you can apply for merit source because of gambling board. It is likely that theymos might make you a merit source when theymos is choosing new merit sources.
862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 13, 2024, 01:59:15 PM
So the question is, can you manage with $50 as your total monthly bankroll, or would you rather increase it and risk losing money that is not meant for such purposes?
A responsible gambler needs to be able to manage it. But out of $500, the recommended among to gamble with should be 1% which is just $5. For me I can go for maximum of 5% which is $25.

Yes I can be able to gamble with the money and not go beyond. Sometimes I can win more than lose. Not that I also go all in all. You can decide to use just $0.5 in every game that you play and you can not loss the whole $25 fifty times consecutively. That is not possible.
863  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 12:38:34 PM
then I would like to say that stop gambling when you want making money from gambling
This is the problem that beginner gamblers do have. They want to gamble to try their luck and see if they are going to make money from gambling, but gambling is not like that. Both bookies and casinos do it in such a way that gamblers have the highest probability of losing while them making money from the gamblers. A gambler need to have gambling budget and no money that he is not able to lose should be put on his or her gambling budget. I remember when I startrd to gamble, I have such bad mind, but I later come to my senses that I have been a fool all this time until I realized that I can not make money from gamble like the way I think about it before I started to gamble.
864  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 11:07:26 AM
* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.
I do not know what you mean by big winning because most gamblers can not win up to that. But it is good to stop even if it is small winning already. Continuing gambling will only later likely lead to losses.

* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.
I do not think this is possible. If you do not have fun while gambling without thinking of the money to win, then it is not your thing. If you gamble with small amount of money many times, you will win and also lose. But if you win more than losing in some few gambling time, then it is good to stop.
865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with bots on: January 13, 2024, 08:59:11 AM
I am doing scalping with 1 minute chart and I see a big rejection candle at 22.21 london time for most alcoins, also for btc...how do you guys interpret this?
My guess is the trading with the altcoins is done most by bots...
Any tips on how I could learn to automate my trading with bots?

You can not be so sure if the trades are done by bots or not. Many traders that are not using bots are still making use of indicators and drawing lines. Example is a market that has been overbought with its RSI reaching over 90% and the upper band reaching high far more than normal. Good traders will know that people trading the coin will most likely sell soon. That is why you will suddenly noticed that the price of the coin will begin to fall. Later it can get to a point that more buyers will have no confidence and also start selling the coin which may lead to abrupt fall of the coin price. Indicators does matters. Although bots will also likely predict the market to fall after a massive overbought.
866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 12, 2024, 10:07:01 PM
How can we be so sure that this is true? I do not believe all that I see online.

Oh well, all the more reasons to avoid the land-casinos I guess.
If you gamble responsibly, you have no reason to avoid any casino, be it land based or online. But if you know that gambling is taking more than you want from you, then it is good to quit gambling.
867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do gamblers always ague alot? on: January 12, 2024, 06:17:11 PM
Most people will prefer to watch the match at home. But the reason many people go to viewing center is because they can not afford to buy the decoder, pay for monthly subscription and go to the channel that are showing the match live. They prefer to just pay little amount of money to watch the match in viewing center. But if anyone of them become ric, you will not likely see the person among them again in viewing center.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 12, 2024, 04:25:16 PM
Like I have always said, that a gambler needs a budget which should be the gambling budget and it should not be more than 1% of their weekly income which is what is recommended. But as for me, I still go up to 2 to 5% which is not affecting me and not all the time that I am gambling. If a gambler do not have determination to have a gambling budget which is low enough not to cause financial problem if lost to gambling, that gambler is not yet a good gambler and most likely that the gambler will not gamble responsibly which may lead to addiction.
869  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF on: January 12, 2024, 11:25:16 AM
Interestingly the huge volume was not represented on popular bitcoin exchanges, which made me wonder where the bitcoins are actually being both/sold.
They are buying the token that tracks the bitcoin price and not bitcoin itself, although the token provider bought bitcoin and pegged the token to bitcoin spot price. All those companies that provide the ETF have bought bitcoin in the past and bitcoin price increased at the time. But bitcoin ETF token itself has no effect on bitcoin price unless those bitcoin spot ETF provider buy more bitcoin for storage and this would be if more people are buying the ETF token. Only what we are expecting now is halving sentimental effect.
870  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where Can I can do Leverage trading from Canada? on: January 12, 2024, 11:11:59 AM
Oh what if Im from another country and visit Canada for a tour. When I open the app would I allow to login on these exchanges? Im asking cause I might planning to have there a vacation somewhere in the q3 to visit someone. Or should I use VPn in order to access it? Thanks in advance. Or if anyone in Canada now, what are you doing to have access on these exchanges?
I think the best is to contact their customer care and ask them what to do. But I noticed that if I put the VPN connection of the country the exchange is not restricted, there has been no problem. Connecting with VPN is not common but only when I forget to off the VPN. Only restricted countries VPN connection that will pop up a warning on the exchange. If the VPN connection is not the one for restricted countries, no short term issues, but if using it for a long time, I do not know what would happen.

I am not saying that it it okay to use to VPN to access centralized exchanges that have restricted access placed on them by the government of any country but what I discovered is that when I looked this up, there were many reputable and notable websites out there that recommended a couple of VPNs to use to bypass these restrictions. You seem to have more knowledge on this so may I ask you if you think that these VPNs they recommend would be strong or powerful enough to bypass them? See an example of this article from Forbes on best VPN For Binance in 2024
I do not know. But on exchanges that are requiring KYC, it can be known from the identity document that someone is from a restricted country. I do not know much about those exchanges that will require no KYC. But the exchange terms and conditions must be fully read for the exchange user not to fall victim of withdraw issue. But generally I will not advise people to use VPN. As for Tor, the connection would be blocked in a way you will not be able to access the exchange.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 12, 2024, 09:10:34 AM
Gambling is a choice, no one force anyone to gamble, so if you blame gambling for the result you get, it's your own fault.

There's a quote "The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is in the Dose", so you can't easily judge gambling is bad because it will make people become an addict, I could say knife is bad because it can be used to stab someone else.

If you can't risking any money you have as low as 1 cent, you shouldn't gamble at all.
You are right, but who are you talking about? OP did not say that gambling is bad. He is only saying that newbie gamblers should be very conscious, having this thread for newbie gamblers to follow the advise of experienced gamblers and to gamble responsibly.
872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 12, 2024, 09:05:15 AM
The problem for newbie gamblers is not even about chasing losses at first. The problem starts from what they think about gambling. That it can be used for making some money. They will try and later find themselves losing.

After having losses, they will think of chasing the losses and they will continue to lose. But one thing about gambling also is that if they win, they will be happy but it will be fun for them to gamble more until they start to lose.

If they win, they will continue to gamble. If they are losing they will continue to gamble.

But I have noticed that after the losses, they will be more vulnerable to lose more money.
873  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where Can I can do Leverage trading from Canada? on: January 12, 2024, 07:59:07 AM
I think you need a browser called TOR or a VPN extension for the browser you usually use when opening these two exchanges, because that is not an obstacle for you to stop.
Tor or VPN extension? On centralized exchanges. If he uses Tor or VPN, his account will later be blocked and the evidence that he is visiting the exchanges from the country allowed would be requested by the exchange.

Moreover, in general there are also many other options that are almost similar to Bybit and Bitmex themselves
Name the exchangs. That is what OP is asking of.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sure match prediction on: January 12, 2024, 07:36:19 AM
If anyone who interested to win regularly in a decent odds like 1.70-2.50 odds matches, then you can contact with me. No need money. You can check 3-5 days of my matches.
Telegram: @Twooddsonly1
Someone that do not have experience in gambling may contact you to have his first lesson after you will demand money from the person and also after the person lost the match you gave him. No one should believe you because you are only looking for money and looking for who to be your victim.

Winning regularly 1.7 to 2.5 odds in match predictions? That is a lie. Completely a lie.

Instead of inviting people to contact you via Telegram, why don't you try to build trust from this forum? It will give you a reputation if you really have 8 years of experience.
He knows that he can not be able to build trust because he can not be that good in prediction. He wants a shady way to scam people and nothing more. Some newbie gamblers may fall for this.
875  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where Can I can do Leverage trading from Canada? on: January 11, 2024, 11:52:06 PM
On Coingecko, you can see the lists of derivative exchanges: https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/derivatives

You can look for the ones that are still allowed in Canada and make more research about it.

I used to do trading on bybit and bitmex, but both have banned Canadian user.
Not that these exchanges banned Canadian users but Canadian regulations has been what that forced the exchanges out of Canada.
876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It will save your capital more than you can imagine on: January 11, 2024, 10:11:24 PM
I have seen so many traders watch there their position run into liquidation because they were stubborn or they believe that it can still reverse to their favour, when it obvious that their is no hope.
If a trader is using high leverage, liquidation of trading fund is common to those kinds of traders. Also the type of coins you are trading is very important.
I might understand when you talk about liquidation of trading capital when it’s hot to do with leverage trading but, how does this really relates with the type of coins.
The crypto market is already a highly volatile space and that cuts across most coins especially, coins that have gained some significance in the cryptospace. Wouldn’t that be safe for some form of generalization?
Coin are volatile than one another. If you have been trading on derivative market, you should understand this. Example of a coin that I remember that was very volatile recently is TRB. There are many altcoins that behave like this. Check TRB daily char below:

Let me take it to 15 minutes chart when that fall occurred:

Falling from $569 to $285 within some minutes. Some traders could have predicted it but it was a liquidation for those that open short position at the wrong time, even if they used 1x leverage as it fell abruptly and decreased further.

Try and look at some altcoin charts and see how volatile many of them are.

If I continue to explain, you will see how whales can easily manipulate some coins and tokens. You can check the chart of some coins on derivative market that is having a marketcap not more than $12 million which can easily be manipulated.

It is good to make research before using a coin to trade. But if I should advice, using those like bitcoin and ethereum is better. They are volatile but less volatile which makes them better.
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does signing up with affiliate links gives these benefits? on: January 11, 2024, 06:23:22 PM
For example, when someone wins a big multiplier and multiplies their account by 100x, then some casinos take a long time to process the withdrawal, or they may not even give the money. however, some say that if you sign up using a good affiliate or influencer affiliate code which have huge audience, then you won't face these type issues. also, if you promote the casino using your referral link, they might not hold back your withdrawal because you helped them get new customers.
This is a scam and nothing else. And what would later happen is that it might go viral and the casino or gambling site owners are not helping the gambling site because people will later definitely know that it is a scam site to avoid. It is hard to win bonus and be able to withdraw it. So if you meet up the rules given and won huge amount of money, the money would be withdrawable on a legit gambling sites that is not shady and have no intention of scamming.

is this kind of things is considered shady practice, or is it considered fair in the online gambling world?
It is a scam.
878  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cashlowinvest.org on: January 11, 2024, 12:30:53 PM
I have been looking at this company as they offer interesting investment returns but they are based in Estonia and have concerns as to their legitimacy?
Probably you included the wrong link, I checked that link and the site was not going when I clicked on it. I included the s to make it https and also include www and it nothing was found. The site is not working.

Or probably the site has been taken down and that means it is a scam.
879  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: We overlooked this little thing: Bitcoin is officially a commodity on: January 11, 2024, 10:39:20 AM
This is not the first time that SEC will say bitcoin is a commodity. I have been seeing it since 2020. Even I think the former SEC president also admitted that bitcoin is a commodity.

What I do not just like is the CFTC wants to recognize ethereum as a commodity. I do not know what game the CFTC president is playing.

Bitcoin is not security in anyway like those ethereum and all those premined coins. Also that many of those coins are using PoS which makes them securities.

Even if SEC do not yet call bitcoin a commodity, it is clear that it is a commodity. It was a commodity since the day it was created, unlike the altcoins.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is the money manager? is it a casino or game provider? on: January 11, 2024, 07:07:54 AM
So who actually manages finances? is it the casino itself or the game provider? Does the casino only get a commission from the game provider or buy the game license from the game provider?
There would be an agreement between the casino and the game providers. The agreement will be that they will pay the game providers certain amount of money for providing them games that their customers will gamble with, but the casino itself will manage the finances and not the game provider. The game provider will manage only the money the casino paid them and that has nothing to do with the casino customers money that the casinos are the ones that will manage it.
